seems that scam devs found another github depository to steal from. Seriously guys, don't you see that those devs can't do programming at all - all they want is to steal code from another project. They realised that lisk wasn't 100% fast win win project, so they decided to change concept - to steal from another perspective coin.
That's the concept of open source... welcome in the 21st century. This is how modern coding works. Besides, and this has been repeated time after time to guys like you, the RISE development team has said from the beginning they would use the Lisk code base... it should not be a surprise to any of the investors as they have made that clear from the beginning. If you are so negative about RISE, just sell your stake or don't buy, but don't post crap that the Dev team has never pretended to be. |

Is the new codebase/framework being called "meteor"? Its a pretty cool name I saw that the price has gone up. This is due to Lisk Forging or have any other news?

Here is an excerpt from the new whitepaper: Rise is being developed using Node.js[1] for the application backend, Go and shell scripts for the server, through Dokku and Docker. Node.js was selected because of its highly efficient concurency model, due to the nature of Javascripts evented model. The database in use is MongoDB[2]. MongoDB was selected based on the NodeJS application development framework that has been selected for use, Meteor[3]. The Meteor framework uses a SocksJS based data protocol layer called the Distributed Data Protocol (DDP). This protocol was designed by the Meteor Development Group to be a highly scalable, fast, and low latency distributed data protocol.Dokku[4] and Docker[5] were selected because of its functional ability to create entirely separate application environments through the use of LXC[6] containers in Linux. A Dapp written in any language will be sandboxed by the LXC containers, exposed to the World only on port 80 by default, and will connect to the primary Rise Node application on that server through internal networking. React[7] is a Javascript View (from MVC) library. It utilizes a Virtual DOM with Differential updates to make changes to the page, and controls data flow with one-way reactivity. If the model changes, the view will update to change. It also uses Compoents to template web pages, making complex application UI development streamlined. React's use of a Virtual Dom with Differentials updates allows changes to the UI to be made quickly on a user's click. Instead of having to rerender the entire page, we can rerender just the parts that need updating. Hello All,
It has been a while since I addressed you myself, and I apologize for that. We have been busy with trying to figure out the best path forward, utilizing a codebase that has significant issues. We decided on the best course of action for us, to be able to complete the roadmap. We know we are behind on the roadmap, unfortunately, the delegate issues have consumed the time that we were originally going to use for the additional feature sets.
Right now, I am working on a revised technical architecture to supplement the revised white paper. Richard is working on building out the initial functions for the new codebase, and Nathan is working to rebuild the database architecture into Mongo, instead of Postgres, as we originally wanted. We will maintain API compatibility as best we can, so the current SDKs will not have been wasted work.
The new codebase will be using technologies designed around JSON and SockJS to transfer data in realtime between nodes. We will be separating duties for the nodes, so an API Node can't be a delegate node, and a delegate node can't be an API node or a wallet node. This will allow us to scale with greater precision than we can now. We are also going to continue diligently watching potential security holes, and making sure our third party packages that are in use are secure.
This is the best path forward, and with our ICO being all about the features we wanted to provide, this is the way we can achieve that goal.

Please do react to people concerned about the actual project, but only those who do so in a civilized manner. In the upcoming days I hope to be one of these persons. |

The devs are transparent and cooping with technical challenges. They admit this honestly. They also never lied about copying Lisk code base and they are frequently responding in this thread if you ask them normal questions. People are constantly crying about things that they already knew before the ICO started. Yes the price went down, yes that sucks, but the volume that caused this drop is peanuts. As long as the remaining dev fund is 4x bigger than the market cap I ain't selling at 90% loss. It would be foolish. |

I dunno man. As long as I get response this project is alive to me... The 1 million USD remaining development fund offers a lot of potential. That is if it is going to be spent wisely... Off course it is, outsourcing everything to a fake shell company "Don't panic consulting" owned by Jared. It's not alive, wait till the cash runs out. Everything will disappear into thin air. Their pretty much moving 20-30k per month into Don't panic consulting. Exactly. All they are doing now is trying to cover their ass a little bit, by posting useless shits, excuses etc. They will end up with nothing to show, find excuses. Create new icos and repeat. Basically, just do little stuff, to avoid legals problems from their "investors". It's Alty, it can't be different. I really wish to be proven wrong tho. Deep in my soul.  I dunno man. These guys don't look like criminals to me. I honestly believe they are doing their best. I know they are moving at a slow pace, but so are many other projects. They should just interact a little bit more with their community. But I agree that if in the end no results are realized and the dev fund is 90%-95% paid to DPC the donators should pursue legal actions. But atm this is way to early to conclude in my opinion. This ain't easy stuff to program. I will give it another 6 tot 9 months to see development results, but in the meanwhile i would like to see some PR efforts to connect with the community. But they said they are working on this. |
