881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do wager affect outcomes in any provably fair games on: August 05, 2023, 08:46:50 AM
We are all there at one time, thinking that the more you lose the more likely your luck is very closer but it doesn't matter what games you are playing, gambling is a game of luck, someone who plays everyday to get a good hit is not different from someone who plays twice a week, it's game of luck.

Gamblers who gamble often can have good numbers of hit than gamblers that gamble every time. Many gamblers don't know this but I have experimented myself that's how I know all this, always have in mind that gambling is a game of luck, gambling irresponsibly starts when you think otherwise.
882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: August 05, 2023, 07:25:50 AM
If you like, delete every gambling related ads on your PC and your phone, find the best ad-blocker and make sure not a single gambling ads pops up on your screen, It's all about the mind, if your mind is set in on something it will be very hard to let go, why not work on yourself if you can't do without gambling? Since gambling is money-oriented, all you have to do is avoid destroying your life with gambling, and the best way is to always have budget for gambling, your gambling rules is to never go over a certain amount per week for gambling, and also make sure you understand the risk of losing money, if it's gone there is no reason to chase.

Blocking gambling ads is not the solution, since the forum has many gambling projects running adverts through members and I have been seeing it for a long time, still I am not a gambling addict, learn to gamble in a safe way, that's all you need to do.
883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's safe to say - gambling is a guy thing. on: August 03, 2023, 07:03:22 AM
Men can go to any lent to achieve their goals and only very few women are wired this way, in my country when a woman is strong and do things that a man is supposed to do we call her a man-like woman.

Men takes risks more than women and that's because all responsibility relies most on men, but things are now changing, women are not been exposed to extra hard work because of the world economy, men can't do it alone anymore, their wives need to support or risk becoming a widow some day.

The different is men can handle risks more than women, females are more emotionally, that's why it's hard for them to trade or take risky part to make money, though men have emotions too but some have no choice than to take the risky ways, after all they are men.
884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legality of Online Gambling in Different Countries on: August 02, 2023, 09:02:24 AM
The above states have different tax laws, meaning you will pay a different tax if you bet in Kansas than if you bet in Michigan. If you decide to wager in any of the above states, make sure you know how much taxes you will pay.
A gambler should be aware of the laws regarding gambling in their country so they do not get in trouble. Wanting to gamble ignorantly without any idea of the status of gambling laws in your country is not a smart move because ignorance of the law is not an excuse in court of law.

Start gambling the proper way, there are things a new gambler should know and check for/find out in the right order.
a) Find out if gambling is legal in your country.
b) check the license of the casino or gambling site you want to gamble.
c) check their terms and conditions.
I have a question, what if the gambling platform is not located in your country? One can be in Libya and use casinos that are out of the countries like in the U.S, also how will the law know that you are into gambling when all you ever do is use an online gambling platform and Bitcoin as the main currency, unless you the law takes your phone from you and do the research themselves but I wonder what could cause this, well in my own country the government don't care if you like gambling all you have and lose it all, they are only after the casino owners, since they can make money from them through licenses and other.
885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: August 02, 2023, 08:35:40 AM
The bitter truth about gambling is only very few people will make a lot of money through gambling or will become successful through gambling so instead of trying to find a way to be successful with gambling you should understand that only 1% out of 100% will become successful.

The chances is very slim as you can see, so you are the one that need to play safety, always gamble with what you can afford  to lose and don't take loan or borrow money from somebody to gamble, be a responsible gambler.

No matter what comes your way you won't feel left out and you won't destroy your future with your hands it is better to always think about safety first, gambling is not a thing that you can use hard work or persistency to win you only have to think about your safety and that will work out if you are disciplined to keep using only what you can afford to lose.
886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are you still strong holding btc on: August 02, 2023, 07:00:28 AM
I don't have plan of selling my Bitcoin until a new all time high, my bitcoin are safely secured in a hardware wallet currently, I will think about taking profit once we are in a bull market, but now we are still in a bear market and we need to keep holding, only those who are brand new to Bitcoin market will lose hope because they don't prepare for a long term holding, some people expect a one year hold and that's it, but bear market is always longer than a year, instead of enjoying the adoption season they get tired of waiting for bull market.
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Borrow to Buy Bitcoin is Not Advisable.Consider the Factors Before Doing That. on: August 02, 2023, 06:34:22 AM
If you borrow money to invest in Bitcoin, that shows you have no other option left and this also means that you are trying to invest what you can't afford to lose because you borrowed the money, Bitcoin investment is not for such people, if all you can do is borrow money, brother go out and look for jobs, this is not a matter of when to buy or when to sell, you are doing it completely wrong.

Your money or no Bitcoin investment, doing this will put you under pressure and unease mind, it's money you borrow, and there will be a max time for you to pay back the money, I can promise you that it's not going to be a pleasant investment in the end.
888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC asked Coinbase to halt trading in everything except BITCOIN, CEO says on: August 01, 2023, 10:01:32 AM
SEC chairman want to keep his job at all cost, I remember he used to support Cardano, but now he wants to force Coinbase to delist all altcoins? That's impossible, I think it's time for Brian to go to court and stop solving this nonsense out with money, most altcoins are trash projects but some are better than Bitcoin when looking at their utilities, I am all in on Bitcoin but that doesn't mean that all altcoins are a scam, SEC will end up messing themselves up, it's a matter of time, I can bet it with anyone, their problem will start when the present President leaves that throne, SEC should start going after scammers not fighting the whole crypto market, this is a wrong approach, and this makes me think that they have double intentions, pretending to fight for people on one hand and benefitting themselves on the other.
889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mistake that prevented your big win. on: August 01, 2023, 08:59:51 AM
The thing you mentioned at the end is exactly what greed is all about. When destiny is giving you the opportunity to get $200 which you can get immediately but you become greedy and wants to get $1,200 that only is a possibility and you might not even get it, you will even lose the $200 that you could get and might not get $1,200 as well.
Yeah, another one could be taking useless risks. I remember so many times when I make huge parlays I end up losing with just one game. If you end up betting on 9 games, and win 8 of them, and because of that one loss you end up losing all your money, that's greed for sure but that's also taking a risk you shouldn't have as well.

If I wagered on all those games one by one, I would have made a lot less money, and I mean like seriously little amount of money, but at least I would had some chance, and that's what matters. That is why I try to keep the parlay to a minimum, except when I have some profits I want to burn through and have some fun with, in that case it becomes a little bit more money that I can risk and that's when I do parlay.
I can't count how many times people close to me have lost a lot of money to gambling because of one game that mess it all up, this is very common because people want ti walk away with Bigger amount of money using small amount of money, it's greed and a higher risk than taking a normal risk, why not 3 games? Why not 4? But you will see people betting on 9 games so that they can turn into a millionaire over night.
890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: August 01, 2023, 08:10:05 AM
I am not really a fan of loaning, even though i really need a money or there is something I wanna buy, I wont borrow money for it but instead i will save money and wait until I have enough money to afford that thing, what more if you are going to gamble the money that you have borrowed, this is is really a dumb thing that people doing especially those addict, and I think people with good and normal thinking wont do that thing, online those gambling addict will do.
The worst part of this is whether you lose or win you still have to pay the money with interest and that makes it more problematic especially if you lose.
Gambling addict don't think this way, you are talking like this because you understand the risks, many gambling addicts don't think or understand the risk  and they can go to any lengths to take a bet because all what they will be taking in their mind is they're going to win,  if a gambler sets his mind on the winning side only he is at risk of losing everything and such Gambler may turn into an irresponsible gambler because no matter how good your calculation is you must always think about the other part, every good things have its disadvantages so do not think about the positive side only think about the negative side too and always prepare for both sides.
891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your reasons for adopting cryptocurrency? on: August 01, 2023, 07:47:50 AM
Bitcoin have done more wonders in my life than anything else, I had nothing but I believe in Bitcoin in 2016 and I followed my mind, thanks to my supportive parents too, who never doubted my believe.

1. In the past years bitcoin have been the only thing that rescue me from poverty and since it always add value as time goes on there's no reason for me to get out of Bitcoin and till date I am still accumulating Bitcoin for long-term hold and I will keep doing so for a very long. Of time maybe till I get retired or even pass it down to my children if possible,. Few years from now I believe that many people were talking about bitcoin only has the accumulation or adoption rate of Bitcoin still very low right now.

2. I am from a country where even the law enforcement are the ones in power, they like harassing youths and when they find out that you are worth more than you look they find a way to drain you out so crypto or let me say bitcoin has been a safe Haven for me to keep my money out of the bank and out of any centralised entities and there is no way anyone can know my worth unless I talk about it, I worth more than I look and that's because of Bitcoin.
892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does cryptocurrency actually solve any problems? on: July 31, 2023, 08:49:37 AM
List is so long but i will try to write only few basic characteristics of Cryptocurrency that distinguish it from financial system.

  • Decentralization is the first thing that crypto provide us
  • Anonymity, self-custody, full confident on our funds, full control on our funds.
  • You get to make agreement/smart contracts that can become helpful even using the BTC blockchain as it consists of timelock feature to execute smart contracts after fulfillments of some conditions. And the main thing is all of such agreements will be Decentralized.
  • Decentralized means no one could interfere with the agreement terms or go against it.
  • In financial system you don't has such features.

Other than above, there are many other things that are unique in Crypto but are not present in Traditional Financial System.

I mentioned some features and such features have huge use cases. And i could also mention a lot but a newbie like me is smart enough to make some use cases out of such features. Like where anonymity, decentralization, Full control of our own assets, etc. came handy.
Not all crypto provides us decentralization, anything apart from Bitcoin which is the real centralized digital currency is not reliable, I only trust Bitcoin, I am into crypto since 2016/2017 and many projects have gone scam after claiming to be a decentralized crypto project especially those PoW coins that miners are busy mining at the time, 99% of them just died some months after.

Promise and fail is now norm in crypto space, it's left for adopter to pick the right one and still Bitcoin is the best one so far, the decentralization is what I enjoy most about Bitcoin follow by its price action.

Bitcoin doesn't provide anonymity straight up, if you want full anonymity you should start using mixer services to make transactions, the true anonymity in crypto belongs to privacy coins like Monero.
893  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you will never become rich on: July 31, 2023, 08:07:06 AM
And I want to ask you one thing, did you become rich after getting rid of your family and after you knew how to use money? I don't know what family relationship you're talking about, if it's between your siblings, your spouse, your parents, and your loved ones. I would object to your first reason. Because we work hard, finding ways to be financially free is also taking care of them, not just ourselves. Furthermore, without those people, I bet you wouldn't be where you are today, so it's not right to consider them a burden. It's a responsibility that everyone has to shoulder, you can't selfishly deny them. Many people can still become rich but still be with their loved ones, so I disagree with your reasoning.
How is finding ways to become financially free mean taking care of others? I am sure you know how it is when coming from having nothing to having something, you won't even remember that some family is somewhere, not until things start getting better for you, I believe OP do make some sense here, sometimes, family members will drag you back from your goal, you trying to change your life is when they will come asking for your help.

You can open a business today and it's not even booming yet, you are still trying to find more steady customers and that's when family will text you that they need something, see man, many people have gone down through this step before, there are too many examples like this in this world right now.

It's a problem growing up from a poor background, and if you say no to poverty it's going to be a bigger problem because you have a lot of poor people around you, and it look like you are the only one with hope, they will haunt you will problems that need to be solve and that will bring you down to their level, you will end up becoming like them.
894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: July 31, 2023, 07:21:00 AM
~snip~
But it seems that people who have lost a lot won't want to tell all about their loss. They often tell us when they win a lot of money, and the story will be told repeatedly. Gambling is just a place to get entertainment and not to make money as often as you might think. And if you have got the money, you better get out of gambling immediately. Otherwise, the winnings will be lost if you try to continue gambling to make more money. And if they really want to make a profit, they can try to invest in something they want. And people familiar with cryptos can try investing in bitcoins which are more promising to make a profit.

Absolutely.

There are no rich people gambling at the casinos, and if they are, they probably won't be rich for long.

Some people have a lot of money and manage to spend a lot there consistently, but that's just an expensive hobby.
Well said, gambling always find it's way to take everything back from them unless they become rich through gambling and they quit forever.

I do have a bad experience years ago, I lost some money to gambling and it affected my relationship with my fiancee, we had a fight that lasted two week before I revealed what happened, I let gambling got the best of me, and since then I've learned to never use more than I can afford to lose and now I am a better gambler because the amount I use is ridiculous in the eye of those that still use thousand dollar to gamble in a casino, this can never be me again, unless a thousand dollar become something I am ready to lose and that is if I am making thousands of dollars.
895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Abuse ... on: July 31, 2023, 06:58:47 AM
Too much of everything is abuse, you need to sit and think about it, what will happen if you drink too much? What will happen if you eat too much? What will happen if you use your power on your fellow citizens because you are a high ranking official? Everything comes with a bad ending, this makes gambling not left out if this discussion, if you gamble too much you will probably lose everything because thinking straight as a gambler is very hard, it's not common to see a gambler who still take care of his family, the majority of gamblers always end up broke and someone else take over their home and they lost their wives to responsible men.

To live healthy there is an amount of sugar we must consume per day, also salt and others, to be a responsible gambler you must have an amount in mind that you are ready to lose, not going into a casino and betting all money you have in your bank account or Bitcoin wallet.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: July 30, 2023, 10:19:20 AM
I know someone who did this, after using his own money to gamble and lost everything he start going around to loan money from different people, thinking he is one step closer to become a millionaire, why can't gamblers ever learn? You lost everything you had and your brain is still working dead, you don't know that you did something wrong that's why you lost all that money.

This person ended up getting arrested multiple times because he failed to pay back all the people he borrowed money from, he is a well respected person and people never thought he is into gambling, this how cruel gambling can be, I don't how who teach him about gambling that he became so obsessed with gambling.

Now he is regretting his decisions as he is not out of the debt till today, he have to work everyday and pay back what he owe, the only money that remains on him is for food only, imagine that kind of life.

I will always advice against taking loan or borrowing money to invest in anything or the worst part, gambling.
897  Economy / Gambling / Re: what are the best crypto casinos! on: July 30, 2023, 09:03:13 AM
I appreciate your work OP, you did a good job writing this up but I will like to ask my fellow gamblers on this forum which casinos are they getting more lucky on compare to other? This is what I want to know, because it seems they are all the same minus those that are scam online casinos.

I have use various gambling network and engaged in different gambling, but my experience so far is like a roller coaster, I used to believe that trying out other gambling platform could bring you more luck or probably is the reason why your luck is been blocked if you stay with one casino but after trying few different casinos it's all the same to me.

The only reason left for me to choose between casinos is the services the providing, and also how their website operates.
898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: July 30, 2023, 08:40:09 AM
Imagine someone walking up to you and ask to rebet on your game, wouldn't you walk away from him? Before you talk or judge always imagine yourself in the shoe of the person you are talking about, you will understand things better.

Either the man believe in some superstition or spirits of gambling the answer is still no, This request is enough to get me mad at someone, I am even surprised the man kept his cool and gave him a good answer, mine will be worse.

This is one reason why I can never to go any local casino or gambling house offline, you will probably meet some bad people that will ruin your luck for you that day.
899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My easy way to teach your kids bitcoin. on: July 30, 2023, 07:41:19 AM
How many Bitcoin related cartoons are you going to show them kids before they become related to Bitcoin then? It's not going to be easy if you plan to use this to make them know about Bitcoin, what not just then grow up in peace?

Also I believe age matters, you can't get any result if a 6 years old kid is watching a bitcoin-related cartoon, it will make no sense to them, you expect them to come and ask what the hell is Bitcoin? Let them grow up first and do that later when they get to a certain age, like the double-figure age I mean.

The way you will teach them even when they are 11 or 12 years old will determine, I will prefer if they just understand what it is instead of making them go deep onto Bitcoin, they don't have to, they have their own lives and dreams, teaching Bitcoin and money can easily distract them from their life purposes.
900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: July 29, 2023, 11:59:05 AM
If you are running a business how will you know how much you are making every month if you are not keeping records? If you are running a family how will you know the exact amount you are spending on them from your monthly income or paycheck? If you can't do this how will you even be able to safe some money aside? Or how will you invest some money? Many people have this problem unfortunately,  a life without a math is prone to failure, said my late father, who also used to say that, in everything you plan to do always do some calculations first.

You need to know the expenses that always come your way every month and how much from your paycheck will fix the expenses, this should always come first before gambling, things that have high risks like gambling should always come last, this is the only way you will maintain a responsible man.

Between losing a gambling game and going back to your family and your job like nothing happened or losing a gambling game and losing your family and probably your job too, choose one, this is the difference between an irresponsible gambler and a responsible one.
