881  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning]: Impersonation and spoofing of crypto related companies on Twitter on: November 16, 2023, 09:21:09 AM
$50,000 wow but it's dissappointing how we humans will just put high hopes on someone and never ever try to consider anything they say again if it's false, like if these individuals are gods themselves or being cautious of impersonation online on those they follow. It's dissappointing but this will continue but if anyone in this Forum falls victim then they should really be ashamed because one thing I have learnt from this forum is that the Internet is not always a safe place.
882  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Avoid trading crypto in real person. You can see this now on Binance. on: November 16, 2023, 09:10:42 AM
This was not a bad idea but the way things turned out  shows that nothing can be 100% save, online if you are not cautious your privacy will be compromised and same in physically.
Even if you choose an open view environment for the physical meeting nothing is stopping these criminals from stalking you home and then your life will be more at risk than the online because if you are really cautious of your privacy online and except these exchanges sell or lost your data your identity won't be at risk and the only thing there would be a tendency for you to lost is your money but physical meeting is not just or money but your life, the life of others around you and other important properties.
In as much as I'm paranoid of online p2p, I don't want to try the physical meeting
883  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what and which are custodial and non custodial wallets. on: November 16, 2023, 08:50:37 AM
By my question everyone will understand what I mean, what and which are custodial and non custodial wallets.
As a child you can give your parents your money to hold for you freely but when it's time to collect them, they give you in their terms and conditions in which you don't have a choice than to accept or your money will be gone for ever. This is similar to the custodian wallets you have the coins but in control of it because not your key not your wallet .
While being a grown up and so being able to have your own personal account without the dependency on your parents run anyone to keep your money, by which you can save and get your money as it pleases you without the control of your parents or anyone. This is similar to the Non-custodian wallets, you are in control of your key and so you are in control of your wallet.

Wow congrats, can you share the link to video will love to try it also, probably with the same $0.25. I don't stake big, prefer staking little with large odd, because when it finally works I do get it big after little or much fails but its how I like it and I know it is more like depending on Luck but as long as I'm not addicted to it it's all good to and its works well for me
885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: November 15, 2023, 06:31:46 PM
Currently, Lewandowski is still the mainstay of Barcelona's front line, but if we remember his age, Lewandowski is not a mainstay or long-term solution for Barcelona's attack line. So like it or not, Barcelona has to look for a worthy replacement to replace Lewandowski in attack.
However, I think that the one who is suitable to replace Lewandowski is Alvares, who is a young player and a valuable asset for Manchester City, and is a player who is quite capable as a striker and worthy enough to be considered as a replacement for Lewandowski. Alvares, who is still relatively young, still has the opportunity to become an even more talented player.
Unfortunately Barcelona won't be able to get Alvarez, since they don't have such amount of money to afford him and Man City won't want to let him go except a huge offer.
In as much as Barcelona needs a proper 9, they may try to stick with Ferran Torres as alternative till the end of the season and see how much he did improve, Fati might not be a 9 but he has been doing well on loan, he may be a good option for them later on
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 15, 2023, 06:18:29 PM
I think what they lack now is consistency,if they are consistent, they would do more better than they are doing, they would win more games and even win more big teams.Pochetino is someone everybody tipped to do well at Chelsea, and if he doesn't make the players start performing well,I think pressure will definitely be on him.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have lost two in a row now,and there is much tendency that they will continue losing games because their best players are not available, Maddison is out injured, and other good players are not also available, therefore, their downfall begins. If they are to remain in the top four,I think they need to strengthen in the January transfer window to keep a standard squad depth in the team.
Consistency as always Chelsea especially issues from the likes of James, Sterling, Jackson while James as being injury crisis and lately Enzo has been declining in performance, he seriously to get his form back and try to score goals.
While Tottenham are usually just like Arsenal who in every season at first will make you think they will win the league or league and in the flop, maybe Spurs has started declining now just like previous seasons.

888  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: [ECONOMICS] Yesterday's Price Nor Be Today's Price on: November 15, 2023, 03:19:28 PM
In all these issues I pity the low salary earners, people are suffering, there are those who haven't salary increase since 3 years ago or more than and they are still working hard trying to feed their family.
Cutting expenses has been what these families has been doing for years and things are still getting worse. My advice is to have an additional job(this may be hard), start a business their capital can work with or start farming if there's an opportunity for you, which is the best, crop farming is not as expensive as animal farming and it will go a long way for the family.
889  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Start small and don't get tired of growing in the process. on: November 15, 2023, 03:12:55 AM
Perseverance and diligency are among the basic things to become successful or achieved our goal, sometimes the passion dies or fall but we still have to continue because of perseverance and in the long run we later enjoy by God's grace. People always forget that there is beauty in the struggle and ugliness in Success, something I learned from J cole (love yourz)
890  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: In Meta: We Don Ask 2 Create Sub-Boards on: November 14, 2023, 04:14:38 PM
I really appreciate everyone for their encouragement, it was not easy to take a such a bold step. But we have to do it so that the board will be presented both outside and inside. I am only doing this to make di board clean which I promised from the first time the board was created. I am not here to hurt anyone but to make you good and strong on bitcoin. If I was very bad in the forum then I will not want my younger ones to be like that and I want them to have the good knowledge of bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large. I am for everyone's good. I am not doing it for personal interest or for vain glory. Who knows me in the forum no one. Wen God don shama me with blessings, I go commot from forum cs di stress e too much. I go relax small before I go come back again. And for di main time make we clean our board. I like di way di board dey now. All di threads people dey create e dey make sense. Let di good work continue.
Thanks for all you do, God bless you. Even the Lord chastened who he loves but I guess your method sometimes was a over the line especially your plan on reporting them to the main board, we can sort our problem we have reputable members here also.

The suggestion of creating a Thread for off topic would be a great idea like this below :
Make/Announce Ur Rank Up nd Weti U don Achieve plus Merit Here
Naija Novice Hangout {Newbies introduction & Orientation} Thread.
African Proverbs in Pidgin
We can really accept the fact that this threads as been helpful in spam and shit posting. Maybe if we create a Thread like this for off topic and then the main local board will be for politics and bitcoin. If this feasible and works well maybe Theymos and others will see more reasons to support us
891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: November 14, 2023, 01:29:55 PM
I can't imagine what it would be like if Osimhen accepted Al Hilal offer and the SPL would become even bigger with the names of talented players from europe.

but still Osimhen will not accept the offer before spending his career getting every prestigious title in europe so if Al Hilal really wants to get this player they have to wait a few seasons to come until Osmhine is old enough then Al Hilal can get him and I think Al Hilal doesn't need to look for players who have too much talent, there are other alternatives that we dont know about yet, but in the near future we can see the european players that Al Hilal will recruit.
The offer was really tempting for Osimhen but he made the right choice. In as much that they can easily get most older players they need the younger ones also, if not for Ronaldo they won't have gone this big and it has influenced other players even the older players, my reason for this, is from the fact that their method is similar to how the China super league did but they have higher chances of succeeding because of the their additional plans like hosting the 2022 World Cup
892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you believe Technical Analysis? on: November 14, 2023, 12:59:34 PM
I believe you are pertaining on fundamental analysis which focuses on news about the project that gives impact to the price in short term. Technical analysis has various usability and one of them is to determine the price behavior in long run through the use of old price data.
True but I will still put fundamental analysis above it because its the news that determine how people relate to the market positively or negatively, in regarding to Bitcoin technical analysis is better since we know Bitcoin is trustworthy but in contrast to crypto space fundamental analysis should be placed above Technical analysis based on the fact that there are too many scam projects
893  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Gold vs Btc on: November 14, 2023, 10:45:07 AM
Between digital gold and bitcoin, investors will prefer investing in bitcoin than gold because of the higher returns but for the physical gold people will still prefer it because its been existing from old and so higher trust on physical gold than bitcoin don't forget Bitcoin is still in the adoption age, maybe bitcoin will later in the long run exceeds it because the world is turning to a global village.
894  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies don't leave your coins in an exchange on: November 14, 2023, 10:35:14 AM
I agree with your statement. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive or to purchase a hardware storage for my BTCs since I left them inside our local exchange in the country. While this practice may be potentially dangerous, the amount of BTCs that I receive weekly is somehow insignificant compared to others who have more than 1 BTC on their wallet.

Though this may be the case, I think this practice of mine should not be tolerated by newbies. Having your own hardware wallet is still the best choice for security and privacy so you can have full custody over your funds.
Hardware is the best for security and privacy but as for me the best advice is for Newbies to learn about the securing their bitcoin since we know is not to get a hardware wallet but getting the trustworthy one in the right place and how to use it securely, Aside this not all Newbies can afford to get a hardware wallet when they start investing in bitcoin but there have been good means of securing your bitcoin aside using hardware wallet and alot of forum members use this before they could get an hardware wallet or possibly still using it because no means is 100% secure except you make it so.
895  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How exactly does bitcoin obey the bear and bull season. on: November 14, 2023, 10:18:53 AM
The question is how exactly does bitcoin obey the bear and the bull seasons.
The bear and bull season are influenced by the economy, market behaviour and others. People may be having positivity or negativity on the market depending on the factors influencing the market. Its the investors reaction to the market that determine if bitcoin will be bullish or bearish currently there is positivity in the market and we see it as a bullish season.

Does it mean the same people that has been investing in bitcoin in the bull season take a break from the bitcoin investments and this makes the prices goes down for the bear to return
It's not like they take a break from bitcoin investment, it more like the factors influencing the market is giving the investors negative sentiment and so they will sell more than buy and that will be the bearish market season.

or is there something that is build in the bitcoin blockchain that makes it obey these two seasons naturally?
No not at all the bearish and bullish season is just from the market sentiments from investors

897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a peer to peer method less popular than as an investment on: November 13, 2023, 08:33:50 PM
Yes it's true that bitcoin has lost its inherent use as peer to peer means for making payment to newer adopters of Bitcoin but its still good aside from the point of increasing adoption as stated by you in your post, I believe Satoshi saw this before Creating Bitcoin and so it was not made as a Stable coin, no matter what anything that appreciate in the long run in value will one way or the other be seen by investors and this implies to Bitcoin also. Now everyone has a view of what they see bitcoin as like:a way of being free from government and banks, fast and secure transaction and others but the view of being a means is still included to the other views because nobody will wants to turn down a chance of making more money.

If you mean peer-to-peer in a decentralized way where 2 people make transactions with no platform in between, humanity has lost trust in each other.  Grin That's what's happening. Face-to-face transactions would be possible but still risky.
Actually this has not been a really effect for bitcoin adopters not using bitcoin as a means of payment, there are thousands of people who used it, the risks mentioned is still affecting the physical currency of any country, that's why we have to be cautious of who we do business with
898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 13, 2023, 08:11:25 PM
Chelsea players where outstanding, Manchester United players don't have this charisma that was displayed by Chelsea players, even at the die minute when it seemed all hope's where lost, they where still persisting to get something out of the game, it was would have gone in the favour of Chelsea though, because they missed a lot of chances.
With the way Jackson and sterling where mesmerizing the defence line of Manchester city, it was obvious city doesn't have its defence uptight, more like they have, good midfielders and strikers but not too much of a solid defence.
This was quite a tense match for both teams and previous predictions that Manchester City were favorites disappeared after Chelsea's players played extraordinary and it was very clear how Mouricio Pochettino succeeded in implementing a strategy to reduce Manchester City's game which controlled the game. To be honest, this is the first time I have seen Chelsea play so solidly and they didn't waste time holding the ball. Sterling and Gallagher are two key players who were able to provide positive results in this match.

Manchester City also played quite well in this match, but their defense was less solid because there were several mistakes made which allowed Chelsea to score a goal. The draw achieved by Manchester City made Liverpool and Arsenal quite profitable because currently they are only one point away from Manchester City at the top of the standings, while Tottenham dropped to fourth position after suffering two consecutive defeats.
You can't blame any Man City defenders, they did better than the Chelsea defence in that match (the CB though), Chelsea was the better team in the game, you can see it in their fighting spirit till the end of the game while Conor, Palmer and Sterling did really well, Jackson still need to improve, if Haaland had all the opportunity he had in that game, you know Chelsea would have definitely lost
899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not get scammed by this, specially newcomers. on: November 12, 2023, 09:50:42 PM
It's funny or dissappointing seeing alot of people who still sees the Internet as a secure place for getting financial assistance especially relating to cryptocurrency comprising their privacy most times just to find support like this Demystifying living a private life and your bitcoin.
I won't be surprised if they ask him for his private key but more likely the victim is a lier, if you go through the link provided by OP, I believe no body would have such amount of bitcoin and keep it in a place where scammers can easily get it or if by peradventure they fall victim they won't have fallen from such scam or make such post.
