I agree with this topic, topics like ----> Bitcoin Pizza bake-off contest! Enter by June 1 does not deserve to have send merits option, as it has become a preferred place for merit farming, but such topics are limited and must be manually edited case-by-case by the administrator.
You are right, cases like this are used for merit farming, maybe it would be better to have a limit like one merit per user. Thus, participants can still be rewarded, but they cannot receive more than 1 merit, which would significantly slow things down if it is a question of merit farming.
I don't really think this will be needed because the rate members shared merits from such contest like the pie Baking and pizza Contest and others is currently reducing yearly since alot of members are now aware of the possible merit farming going on with.

While the entry limit of usually having a minimum of 30 merits will be better than this since this has discourage them for creating a new account because they first need to earn at least 30 merits.

Having the title or the post in Pidgin is not necessary. If you like, post in English. If you like, post in Pidgin. We do not have to force anyone to post in Pidgin.
For my post above, where I force person to post for pidgin. Abi I no dey entitled to my opinion again?
I get what Charles-Tim means here, is just that our LB is not like other LB that make give strict restriction on the language accepted there, while here we can both use english and pidgin mainly some of us here have use igbo and other of our local language and also though its an Opinion, the topic title doesn`t show it that same way.

Please, we are having peace already, no need of bringing what is not.
E get the time wey war dey for here? I no too understand the way you carry respond to this post, hope say nothing sup.
Anyhow anyhow, I believe say people done understand wetin I post. People wey go first make their title to be pidgin go try from henceforth. Person wey no fit go continue for English, e simple.
[/quote] To be frank you know there are usually alot of drama on our LB which is has been dying slowly I guessed that what he meant here, also with your reply here you can actually see there is no need for this post since those who want to use pidgin will use it while if they don`t feel like they may use english.
bcos me self dey use both, na how post tel move na matter if I go use pidgin or English

robelneo explained this better here
To be frank I don't think bitcoin is way too volatile as you said though we all can agree that it's volatile but not way too volatile, while time frame is limiting analysis, experience traders can make a strategy that will give them  better chance of winning in their predictions

188  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Call of Duty Cheaters Lose Their Bitcoin as Hackers Target Gamers with Malware on: April 09, 2024, 06:01:51 PM
I would like to add interesting and relevant news to this topic. If I understand correctly, gamers mostly play on Windows. Soon, Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 10, and to receive regular security updates for Windows 11, you will need to pay an additional amount of around 60 bucks for the first year of service, and then more.

https://www.theverge.com/2024/4/3/24120093/microsoft-windows-10-extended-security-updates-price

I think few people will want to pay the extra money and will remain on Windows 10, which will lead to even greater security holes on Windows without updates.
Therefore, it is now becoming a pressing issue to learn to use Linux. Although I'm not a gamer, I know that it supports some games. After all, separating your finances and entertainment into different systems would be a surefire way to stay safe.
This will be quite expensive for many gamers notably in my country Nigeria, another thing is that even the windows 11 doesn't guarantee 100% free from malware while using might be tasking for gamer I have friends who actually use it and they were the once who actually introduced me to Linux  Grin

my question is, is it to help those games Cheaters to recover their lost coins, or help de-escalate the matter my making sure hackers don't get access to cause havoc again, or not to allow cheaters compromise the system again?
The victims coins are gone, they are only trying to help in securing compromised account and now they advise their customers to use 2FA, https://gbhackers.com/activision-players-attacked-by-malware/amp/

I would advice to use a seperate device for gaming in what you use for holding of your coins, have a seperate credit card for gaming and also try to have a seperate passwordand email for gaming
You have a point, but considering that the extent of the attack goes beyond what's on the subject field of this thread, then most of the victims probably used stripped-down versions of the tools in question [e.g. VPNs, cheats, etc...] that tend to be free [in other words, they'll always be the product]!
Hard truth and this because alot of individuals are actually not cautious/knowledgeable of their privacy and security online while some paid third-parties service may also suffer data breach
189  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Dive Into Bitwinup: The Ultimate Crypto Trading Arena is Here! 🎲 on: April 08, 2024, 08:54:27 PM
So this is simulated trading with limits how much you can win? I am assuming that because there are jackpots and such.

I don't get what the upside of playing this would be against longing and shorting actual markets. As in actual markets there is no limit you can technically make by longing something. So what you guys are adding to the table are basically visuals and competition? And maybe easiness of it? Or am i missing something?
I think it best for you to visit the site and check out some of the information about the site like how this works https://bitwinup.com/how_to_play you are going to miss a lot without visiting and to have a good discussion on this platform why not try it and give us your feedback the smallest bet is 5 Matic but hopefully in the future the developers offer a $1 trial so they can grasp and understand the game.
I support this and hope the management will take this into consideration though the trial offer should be 1 Matic which I believe you meant with $1.

Though I don't really know how feasible will this be since I  discovered other casino offering similar minimum deposit to predict though if the dev can do this it will really attract many since predicting on Bitwinup is fun and after their first try most will want to play again.

It is really just that too hard on predicting on where prices could go in a short duration thats why its impossible to apply any analysis on here.
But still yet you can't solely rely on luck, there will be a strategy which one may definitely be using while predicting and still enjoying the game Grin

193  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Risk of import wallet seed to a new web wallet, to chase airdrop on: April 08, 2024, 03:08:16 PM
Yes aside from airdrop testing an entire new wallets especially closed source were the chance of back door is highly possible, create a new wallet after all setting up a new wallet is one of the most easy thing to do in crypto space.

Another reason why some may opt for importing their seed rather creating new wallet for this, is the fee charges for moving their coins to the other wallet which actually they ought to weigh if what they are going to earn from the airdrop is higher than fee or else just avoid it since prevention is better than sorry.
194  Other / Beginners & Help / Call of Duty Cheaters Lose Their Bitcoin as Hackers Target Gamers with Malware on: April 07, 2024, 10:23:37 PM
I saw this news some days back about call of Duty cheaters losing their bitcoin as hackers target gamers with malware on https://www.coindesk.com/tech/2024/03/29/call-of-duty-cheaters-allegedly-lose-their-bitcoin-as-hackers-target-gamers-with-malware/

Quote
The malware has already impacted hundreds of thousands of players and the numbers are still growing, as per malware market informer @vxunderground.
“It should be noted that some of these accounts are also not cheaters,” @vxunderground added. “Some users impacted utilized gaming software for latency improvement, VPNs, and certain controller boosting software.”

Call of Duty cheat code provider “PhantomOverlay” was first to notice the suspicious activity after users reported unauthorized purchases. Rival cheat providers like Elite PVPers confirmed similar attacks to @vxunderground in the past week.

The stolen data includes freshly stolen credentials, with some victims also reporting their Electrum wallets were also drained. The total amount of crypto stolen is still unknown.

Call of Duty developer Activision Blizzard (ATVI) is reportedly working with the cheat code providers to help the affected players. The current estimated number of compromised accounts includes over 3.6 million Battlenet accounts, 561,000 Activision accounts, and 117,000 Elite PVPers accounts.

Base on the same news, this is not the first time hackers have targeted game cheaters have targeted, another popular game, Fortnite were a suppose cheat became a malware to still gamers bitcoin logins in 2018 https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2018/10/05/fake-cheat-for-popular-game-fortnite-hides-bitcoin-targeting-malware/ and then in 2019 they experience another one https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2019/08/26/new-crypto-stealing-ransomware-targets-fortnite-players/

Hackers will continue to target gamers since there are alot of things they get from them if they get access to their gaming accounts like their credit card, email address, bitcoin and other cryptocurrency and others. I would advice to use a seperate device for gaming in what you use for holding of your coins, have a seperate credit card for gaming and also try to have a seperate passwordand email for gaming

This guide will be helpful
You can search for previous discussions about any areas with : https://ninjastic.space/search

Also you don't necessarily need programming skills for this, it all depends on the area you want to focus on but you can really be grounded in the technical aspect of Bitcoin and having little knowledge of programming skills

^^
No matter how experienced in trading you are, it's almost impossible to predict what the price would be or whether it will go up or down in the next 15 or 30 seconds. First because the difference between the starting price and the ending price is almost negligible and second because 15 or even 30 seconds isn't enough to analyze the market.
As you said, it's a luck based game so just enjoy it.
I don't really think it mainly base on luck there's still need of some analysis in order to get a higher chance of winning though luck may have a role here but it's not the basic.
Though entirely it kind be seen as a fun prediction of bitcoin price.

Also Op please, is there any chance of adding other third-party aside Changely, which may accept lesser minimum deposit with other crypto.
198  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Apply] Post Improvement review on: April 05, 2024, 06:26:45 PM
@Findingnemo, I did go through your post and I can say you have been really doing well, you are always on topic and your post in the gambling board is good and educative, if only they do really distribute merit there I can say you would have earned more than what you have now.

I can say you take your time to reply and go through previous post since you did correct misconception/mistake in others post

@Alone055 through going through your post I saw were you spoke of not being active, I guessed that is why you are still in the rank you're in now though I would advise that you try to make your reply early because If your reply are actually in the top, there are higher tendency of it being merited since you are good.

I still see you correcting misconception/mistake of other members good job, also I advice that if haven't requested  a*Restarted* Post history review offer you can do one now.

Continue your good works Grin

It might not be your fault, since Trust Wallet can be easily hacked but it is seems like you know the right ways of saving your funds but I don't know why still stick with Trust Wallet but hope you are going for a more better wallet or at least a good hardware wallet like Trezor.

Hope your Mom gets better soon, the is your strength, I see you already did made a post in their ANN thread base on MusaMohamed which will get to their notice faster
I guess I'll need to move my bitcoin again, didn't know that Trust Wallet is that easy to bypass that they can just easily take away the funds in someone's wallet that easy? Kind of ironic that, you name your product as Trust Wallet but then you as a hodler can't trust to put your funds in there, I guess the plan to move it all to a safer Electrum wallet is going to be a priority to me now, prevention is better than cure.
OH but you been on this forum since 2016 and you still store all/some of your Bitcoin on Trust Wallet, truly this is surprising and I would love to know how you even cope during mempool congestion because Trust Wallet has many limited features aside from it low security and charging exceeding fee. In case you are still using it for altcoins, I will advise you move to MetaMask or any other open source good altcoins wallet

I know the whole point of crypto is to be anonymous but please I really need your help, this was everything that I had and it was for my family and to survive. I never clicked on any airdrop scam or link so I’m pretty sure I was hacked in some sophisticated manner.
