Hmmm, you don talk well my brother, but to me oo, e dy very good make you  invest more on ur house for ur hustling area because even though  you build mansion for village, e no go get value like house way you build for city, and remember you fit still give am out as rent, dat one na another advantage, but to build mansion for village it's near impossible to see person wey go rent am according to it's value.
Me I prefer like 5 bedroom flat for village and my mansion for the city because if both of them na mansion, dem no go still get the same value.
882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to check if an altcoin is a scam on: January 01, 2024, 05:17:28 PM

Not all crypto projects are created equal, identifying which crypto token is a scam, and which memecoin is legit. How do you know which projects are safe to step into, and which projects are doomed to fall flat some months from now. The blockchain is awash with promises of quick money and easy rides. But it pays to know if the token you’re holding is part of an elaborate scam to separate you from your hard-earned cash. There are eight straightforward ways of carrying out your due diligence to avoid fraudsters

1. Start from the very basics by
a. Check for social media red flag
b.Check for the token’s address in a Google search

2. Check code is verified on Etherscan

3. Check the Etherscan comments section

4. Check the DappRadar blacklists

5. Check the token details in a token explorer
If you cannot find the token on CoinGecko or DappRadar’s Token Ranking (or a similar coin price tracker), the token is probably a scam. If it is on the token explorer and you see warning notifications like this, proceed with caution

6. Check how many exchanges host the token
If the token is only traded on a couple of decentralized exchanges (DEX), it is almost certainly a scam. Listing on a centralized exchange comes with KYC and additional trust, and the bigger the exchange the better the reputation of a listed token.

7. Check the amount of liquidity in a token’s balance pool
Before you invest in a token, you may want to check general demand and the availability of liquidity. It is very easy to check a token’s liquidity on a platform like Uniswap V2 or other decentralized exchanges.

8. Check third party analysis tools
Smell Test – this does an automated audit of the token. The lower its score out of 100, the more likely the token is a scam.

All your point you raise here are very valid, but for me what I mostly watched out for is if it's been listed on binance or bybit, if it's not been listed on any of it, I stay off that coin to avoid stories.
883  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: New year's Goals. on: January 01, 2024, 04:59:47 PM
First of all a goal without a plan on how to execute it is just a wish, we as humans we mostly fail in our goal because we fail to put in the work.
If as I am now I have a goal I really need to achieve, then I have to draw my plans and put them in writing, so that I can checkmate my performance monthly, weekly or daily how am working to make it comes to reality.

As for me this year my goal is to gain more financial stability and reconcile myself back with God, because his presence is all I need, and all I need is in his presence.

885  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Every New Year's Eve in Bitcoin History on: December 31, 2023, 06:32:29 PM
Too me Bitcoin is a fine wine 🍷 that gets better with age, when you look at the chart again you can spot the declined in price at some of the beginning of the year, that shows that he also have his challenges, but due to what he is made off, he still rally his way up, I really do believe that it can get even more better, because he is a fine wine 🍷 that gets better with age.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 31, 2023, 04:45:15 PM
Back to back defeats for Arsenal (against West Ham and now Fulham), and that leaves them in 4th position as the year comes to an end, Arsenal are in a pretty sticky patch right now and they are winless in their last three EPL games, i know some people people might cry that it is a crisis, but i don't think it is, Arsenal are just 2 points off the summit, so for now nothing has changed as regards their title charge. The problem Arsenal has is that City are unstoppable when we get to the title run-in, City can go on long winning runs, and this is why i think both Liverpool and Arsenal won't win the title, but City will.

Yea , super unexpected defeats in a row for Arsenal because frankly , I had them to finish on 1st position before 2024 but it turned out very awful. I also had them to win EPL this season but after this 2 last games , I'm not so sure if they will be able to keep the fight until the end or they will find the necessary strength to start a winning streak because without a winning streak , it will be hard to catch Liverpool.

It's really a damaging defeat for their title aspirations, I never saw this particular lose coming unlike the westham game which I believe it can be won by either side.
They will surely be biting their teeth in regret now to lose to a Fulham side that have been out of form for quite a while now.
Just as you have already said, they just need like 10 match winning streak to put them back on track, which it's near impossible with this arsenal team that is too inconsistent.
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin have behaved like a fine wine 🍷 on: December 31, 2023, 03:09:21 PM
Bitcoin is really a fine wine,🍷 because it gets better with age, since it creation, it has progress significantly into an asset that is worth having,  from the days when it's value was not even up to $100 to now that it's over $42000 plus, I just believe that after this next halving it will gets even better, and now is the best time to DCA into Bitcoin, because the reward will be worthy of the wait.

Right now, it's just a 14 years old teenager still trying to find it feet in terms of adoption all over the world.
But am really confidence that it will get even better from it value, popularity and adoption because it's a fine wine 🍷 that gets better with age.
888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and the Masses on: December 31, 2023, 09:58:46 AM
What I sense about people still having a cautious approach towards Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large is that, in some country around the world, they are not getting the right information about the Blockchain technology, most people still sees it as a ponzi scheme, and the one that have small knowledge about it have not even tried it, they will just conclude that if they put the money in it, they might lose it, without being aware of the advantages attached to it.
What we as Bitcoineers have to do is to spread knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large.

I just believe that if people are more enlightened about Bitcoin, their will be more adoption in the society.
889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I Too Broke To Own Bitcoin? on: December 30, 2023, 05:09:46 PM
Before investing into Bitcoin, you have to firstly have a source of income, because if you don't do that and depends sorely on the dividend on your Bitcoin investment, you will surely eat up your Bitcoin investment bit by bit till it's been exhausted.
So my brother you need a source of income first before thinking of investing in Bitcoin.
890  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The "Coalition of Terror" fell apart but US regime isn't giving up! on: December 30, 2023, 02:30:55 PM
It's no longer news that the united States is the brain behind all the conflicts and killings going on around the world, what they are actually doing now is they will refuse to address an issue that may result into conflicts, till when it has gone out of hand.
After that, they will start puring fuel into fire by sending weapons, instead of call for restrain.
891  Other / Archival / Re: Generational wealth on: December 30, 2023, 02:04:59 PM
What would be your advice for a pharmacist hoping to create generational wealth in the pharmaceutical industry
Building a generational wealth isn't a day job, but if you want to do so, you first of all let go of all distraction, focus on growing your pharmaceutical company, after doing that try and expand it, by opening branches, but note, you must put competence people in charge of affairs, in the day to day running of the company.

When all that is done properly, try your possible best to educating your children, by bringing them into the family business, let them know how things are been done in the company,  bring them in, let them follow the family way so that the family legacy will continue when you are gone. I hope this tips is helpful?

894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 29, 2023, 07:04:16 PM
I was initially confident in Arsenal before the match started saying the Gunners would definitely win because this was playing at home, unfortunately this did not become the desired expectation even though of course I bet Arsenal but the results were disappointing at the hands of West Ham.

Arsenal squad could not score at all, Arsenal did seem to continue to attack, it's just that their attacks were often thwarted by opponents West Ham goalkeeper did a good job making it difficult for Arsenal.

I bet on a multi bet between Arsenal and Tottenham, but both lost. Lol

This match is quite upsetting to remember because seeing from what Arsenal showed in this match, their dominance was actually very crazy but in the end it was also unable to make them get 3 points even with the ball possession and the many opportunities they had.
West Ham played very well in defense but actually if you look at what happened 2 goals scored by West Ham I think it can be minimized by Arsenal actually but with problems about communication that is not very good precisely this makes the situation of Arsenal not very profitable even though they are favorites in this match.

The unlucky thing is that my multi bet had to end in the last match which I expected actually to be better even though it was a good momentum especially after getting crucial wins from Chelsea and Manchester United bets but Arsenal disappointed me this week.
You are not alone because I also experienced the same thing bro.
Just because Arsenal, who were very stupid, were humiliated at home and were unable to hold West Ham to a draw, whereas if we look at several times, Arsenal took shots but somehow they always missed the target and if we look at the statistical results, Arsenal took 30 shots and 8 shots against. The direction of the goal was so bad that Martinelli even shot towards the goal without producing a score.
I felt embarrassed seeing Arsenal's performance yesterday but however previously I had said that even though Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa were at the top, these three clubs were not able to perform as consistently as Manchester City when they were in first position and from the appearance of these three clubs I still believe that Manchester city will eventually return to first place in the points table.
I can't stress how much pained I am for Arsenal losing to Westhampton united yesterday. I knew it would be quite difficult to win Westhampton but I somehow was expecting a draw with Saka, Gabriel, Martinelli, Odegaard all shooting wide and missing numerous chances to secure their three points or even one.
No EPL trophy for Arsenal this season and I think Arteta knows this and would seek out new strikers with a consistent finish.
Yesterday before the start of the game I made a post here about the game, and how difficult it will be for arsenal since it's a derby game, and when you look at the most important statistics the head to head record,  it shows that both teams have the ability to beat each other.
Though I expected a draw from the game, but arsenal performance was too poor to even warrant a draw couple with the form westham is on now.

896  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Master the Art of Crypto Trading with These 5 Simple Tips on: December 29, 2023, 10:07:48 AM

Hello, fellow traders!

I am here to share with you some powerful tips that can help you improve your trading skills and results. Whether you are a newbie or an oldie, I hope you will find something useful in this post.

Tip 5: Cryptocurrencies are traded against Bitcoin, or BTC is the King
One of the peculiarities of the crypto market is that most of the cryptocurrencies are traded against Bitcoin, the dominant and most liquid coin. This means that the price of a coin is not only influenced by its own supply and demand, but also by the price of Bitcoin. Therefore, it is important to keep an eye on the Bitcoin chart, the Bitcoin dominance, and the Bitcoin news, as they can affect the whole market. BTC is the King, and you should respect it.

In my early days in trading, this number 5 is what I always falls victim to every now and then, when you fail to understand the market sentiment of Bitcoin, you just trade any alt you see without looking out for Bitcoin, what he is doing before placing a trade, then it shows that you are not doing your homework well before placing a trade.
I started winning more trades when I learn this tips you just shared.
897  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Ithiopia bankrupted? on: December 29, 2023, 08:40:13 AM
I think this topic shouldn't be here, I suggest you move it to the economic sector of this forum, and talking about Ethiopia and debt, it's no longer news that most African leaders have took it as a habit to travel around the world looking for where to borrow money which to me is very shameful.

They are mostly doing that because they actually know that they wouldn't be the one paying it back, and the sad part of it is that they knows how detrimental it is to the economy of the state, but they keeps on piling debts and leave it to the next administration to clean up their shit.
This is a very bad habit most African leaders must stop if they really want their economy to blossom.

Same thing happened to Sri Lanka a country once a very good place to live as well. most of these countries get loans to develop infrastructure not to produce goods. Production economy is a must if you wanna sustainable economy.
Please add a reference link to this post so that you wouldn't be accused of plagiarism, because you are only reporting a news.

899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 28, 2023, 05:25:30 PM
I think should not be difficult for Arsenal to win, even though we know the opposing team is always unpredictable, but I think this is playing at home of course Arsenal will control the field and that is important for the host.

Although West Ham has confidence after beating Man United I think this is a little different from Arsenal they will not be able to (my prediction) but still I will admit from the beginning that Arsenal will win it.

If for example the draw let alone lose it is clear that many will be disappointed, but we will see later.
This match will definitely be very intense, especially as Arsenal will try to take over first place when they host West Ham United.
Liverpool's victory against Burnley means they are now top of the league with 42 points, two points ahead of Arsenal in second place. Of course, this result puts pressure on the Arsenal team.

Apart from that, currently West Ham is in high confidence after beating Spurs and Man United in the last match. This is good capital against Arsenal. West Ham have also shown a lot of consistency recently. Therefore, Arsenal must give everything and Arsenal must perform well to be able to overtake Liverpool at the top of the standings. I hope Arsenal can win this match so that the EPL league competition will be even fiercer.
Their is never an easy game in the premier league that's why arsenal needs to be very careful when playing westham utd at home, besides it's a derby game which makes it very important not just for the league standings but also for the fans as bragging rights.
If you look at their last five games between this two teams it shows that both teams have the ability to beat each other, westham even came out victorious in their last meeting, but arsenal have a better win rate against them, so too me it's an open game, and it will really be an entertaining encounter.
900  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODLers, When Will You Sell? on: December 28, 2023, 04:59:35 PM
As an investors or as a holder, it's quite logical that we have a long term goal and a short term goals.
Or as an individual you can ask yourself what offer that is too good to turn down? If you bought Bitcoin at $20000 and the price skyrocket to $900000 some people will take it, will some won't, , they will still ask for more, I just believe that everyone has a price that he can't say no to, it all depends on who is involved.
We all look, but we see differently.
