Another factor, that's why I also avoid posting on a local board because my friend has a negative rating with DT member and her feedback is not an english poster.

Your friend probably made a hard to understand post using random words in an english part of the forums, that's why I assume he get tagged. He had to stick in his local board if he cannot speak english.

Can I suggest that every local board are having meta section?

No since it will not help anyone.
The only possibility is that theymos decided to make a bitcointalk confederation and give local mods full control of their own board.

Highly appreciated mate if they also implement this, it's nice to see if the local board are well arranged those topics where to find.
It is just a proposition that may be considered or not. It is up to mods to decide, i personally don't have any conflict of interest so I will continue sharing my ideas with others.
882  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: March 23, 2018, 02:24:16 PM
Why people posting their signature ? Address is not enough ?
So if they get hacked! how they wanna restore their account ? because hacker see they signature on this topic

It is a signed message. You need the private key to the address to sign a message from it. Somone can hack a forum account but they can't hack a Bitcoin address and forge a signed message. So if you can sign another message later on from the same address you did here you can prove you are the real owner.

If someone calling Mods about hacking issue & they asking for signature, How they knows if it signed again or not ?
i mean the next signature for same address will be different ? i thought signature will be same for ever.

Hello my name is invoking and today is March 23, 2018. It is a new message with my already staked address.
Bitcoin address is enough but it is preferable to stake a message to proof that this address is yours.
I can stake an address containing BTC100 that exists in someone else wallet and you will quote it. Does this mean that this address is mine? Then i will said that i was hacked. How should I convince others that this address is mine? It is by already providing a signed message.
Now for accounts in bitcointalk, it is the same. Your account is hacked, give a new signed message from the address you already staked here.
Signed message is required when you stake your address because many people don't pay attention sometimes that they can't sign a message with their wallets...
883  Other / Meta / Re: Local board solution on: March 23, 2018, 02:14:18 PM
I will try to explain more point 2
Knock knock, a considerable number of people want their own board but they don't qualify yet to have one.
Solution : open a sub under other languages/locations.
In this sub they can make their own topics freely with strict title names for the reasons i said previously.
This sub is considered as the first step to have their own board.
Their posts there will not be counted and thus their activity will not increase just like our deserted ivory tower or it can activate potential activity like the sub-saharian serious discussion.
So they will no point to spam since they do not have signature and their posts do not increase.
Now, if their community will continue growing and they prove that they worth their own board, they need to have at least 1 moderator. This mod is probably the most active and the best one helping his local community.

Imo this is the best solution, rather than opening a board then choosing random alt mod because you don't have choice. With my respect for everyone in altcointalk.
Ps i read the merit topic and it is funny and don't worth the effort to answer it.
884  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to sign a message?! on: March 23, 2018, 02:13:13 AM
Hi, I am new here, I mean I am new to everything, don't know why I'm here... Might sound really stupid, but I read the post, I understood the need to sign a message, I understood the examples given (Still don't know why I am here, doesn't have anything to do with the reply, just stating the fact that....). My question is can I be here and have no idea of what the entire bitcointalk forum or what bitcoin really is? Can I understand it here or do I have to figure that out myself? Is there some grand post hidden that helps complete newbies? I mean complete newbies without the knowledge of bitcoin, but would like to be part of it? I don't even know if anyone would understand this...   Undecided

I was born ready! This sentence isn't true, everyone need to learn, you can have many informations here in bitcointalk and in the web.
Start searching in https://bitcoin.org and take a look on our beginners & help board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Main_Page could helps also
Good luck
885  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos has been fooled! on: March 22, 2018, 03:05:47 PM
I would like to see theymos banning the word sir from the forum honestly!
Back to topic, theymos can request as any other member and it is up to default trust to decide. Trust system works like that, it is decentralised (cough) or supposed to be exactly.
@ Jet cash hahaha
886  Other / Meta / Re: Local board solution on: March 22, 2018, 02:52:35 PM
Could you rephrase what it is that you are suggesting? I fail to fully parse the meaning of your post
I made examples, if there is something that you didn't understand, please quote it and I will rephrase it, thanks Smiley
I will re-explain this point
Example : we will create a new sub like this : Other languages/locations/Ukrainian
Now Ukrainian is a sub where we can open many topics inside it talking about local press, services, altcoins, trading...etc, i just suggested to impose a clear title that will help the mods to monitor this sub and to rearrange those topics once a proper board will be opened later. More examples :
Other languages/locations /Ukrainian/[PRESS] New Ukrainian exchange opened.
Other languages/locations  /Ukrainian/[ANN][ALTCOIN] New shitcoin
Etc...

Can we add option Nr. 6 to the poll "make half moderator/half translator" and ask him to translate main aspects to from English in to local boards? Of coarse for a some sort of reward.
I don't like point 3 or 4, put it to see how many will support it.
Suggestion point 6 : nah, I think that this is the job of the community not mods, they should be implicated to make their sub great, they need to translate many sticky and non sticky topics to their language, they will be merited by source for that normally.
887  Other / Meta / Local board solution on: March 22, 2018, 02:06:23 PM
Hello, Hola, salut, Guten Tag, Ciao, Namaste, Ohayo, Salam Alaykom, Halo, Zdras-Tvuy-Te...etc

Cryptocurrency adoption is growing everyday, getting basic information is available everywhere in English and less in some languages, having a problem and want to resolve it but having a language barrier? well, this will make things more complicated.
Bitcointalk is equivalent to earth, it contains everything, oblige people to post in their language in only 1 topic is similar to... discussion post then service post then trading then technical question? It is a little bit ridiculous imo. So let's try to find a (temporary or final) solution that could be accepted by everyone and will preserve our n1-forums leadership.
So what do you think people of the crypto-world?
Ps. @ People who come here to say this is an English forums -> ok i know, thanks for your useless contribution, you can move now and come back when you have a helpful idea.

I will develop these solutions a little bit
1- less work maybe for mods but more headaches from people struggling to get their local board.

2- sticking some languages which have many members as usual, once they reach some point, we can open 1 local sub under Other languages/locations (e.g. Other languages/locations /Ukrainian or Other languages/locations/Serbian). In this sub-local they can mix all their topics together with a strict naming rules (e.g. [tech] how...?, [ANN][SHITCOIN] bla bla, [service] x,... (i prefer personally to add another requirement before opening the sub is to select a non-paid mod (or patroller?) by the community which can be later officially join the team or being disqualified)
Of course at some point, they will get their own local board like the other languages.

3 and 4 are obvious. Do not support it a lot.

5. Could be done but it required several mods and strict naming. It can also contains several subs e.g. Slavic/Serbian, Slavic/Ukrainian, Slavic/others...

Quoting the bitcoin address since other posts was quoted after it and this one was forgotten.
Someone with electrum needs to verify it.
889  Other / Meta / Re: Separate Local Board on: March 22, 2018, 12:12:15 PM
My proposition which will likely not happens, has a major advantage which is subs, you can post in the altcoins sub for example
First topic : [ANN][SHITCOIN][UA] bla bla bla !
Second topic : [ANN][SHITTOKEN][RS] bla bla bla !
Then once you have too many topics, you can request your local mod to ask admins for a proper local board.

I just gave a proposition and It is up to admins to decide Wink

First of all thanks for commenting here!
I hope Theymos or whoever can decided this question, will notice this thread and will leave reply at least.
The point is that in Ukraine blockchain and cryptocurrency area is so developed, so we have now every day some crypto-event.
Two blockchain hubs were opened recently!
Even this only reason I think might be enough to make the board.
And in our local thread, yes we are active.

Do you think postings in Altcoins sub like you suggested won't be deleted?

No, I mean altcoins (or other) sub under local board.
For example : Ukrainian/altcoins, or slavic/off-topic.
Having a local board will allow everyone to post freely in their language and pass restrictions. Of course if someone will post in his local language in the altcoins (English) section, his topic will be deleted and will receive a warning..
Sorry for not being clear.
Good luck

I think epigencare needs to have a green asterisk since the payment will be made at the end of their period (1) after at least 3 weeks.

892  Other / Meta / Re: Separate Local Board on: March 22, 2018, 01:31:58 AM
Many issues are country-specific. I think few people in Belarus or Serbia can be interested in Ukrainian legal innovations or stuff like that and vice versa. So really I do not beleive it's a good option to go.

The OP cited the Arabic which is relatively recent sub and the Hebrew an old sub. These two subs aren't for a specific country obviously. Their users are from many countries and all over the world. So they cannot really talk about a country specific issue.

My proposition which will likely not happens, has a major advantage which is subs, you can post in the altcoins sub for example
First topic : [ANN][SHITCOIN][UA] bla bla bla !
Second topic : [ANN][SHITTOKEN][RS] bla bla bla !

893  Other / Meta / Re: Separate Local Board on: March 21, 2018, 08:49:03 PM
I will not beleive that we have nation-based hate issue in cryptocommunity until I'll have a proof.
But I prefer to get hard proof that there is no such issue.
Hey, board managment, please let us know what's going on.

More than 10 days passed since your message. No information. That's not proof, but..
It seems to me that Russians deny your right to have own state so why do you wonder they deny your right to have a separate board?

What if an Ukrainian board was created then the country get annexed by mother Russia, the board will be removed or will be annexed to the Russian local sub?
Ehm, I am not Russian, just trying to go along with your reasoning Tongue
All you need to do to get your local board is by being active and keep posting, being less active because having one topic isn't an excuse imo.
Hope you get your wishes soon even if this action will upset the mother land Roll Eyes
Good luck

BTW, hey theymos, can't we regroup close languages (that aren't yet qualified for having their own local board) in one local board such as slavic (Belarusian, Ukrainian, Sorbian... /except Russian) where they will find subsections to post on it?

how to become legendary member ?

Patience, more patience and hardworking.
You need to wait ~3 years, you need to make more than 775 activity up to 1030 at least, you need to get also 1000 merit at least.
If you want to get more information about merit and activity, take a look at the sticky topics in meta.
Good luck.
