881  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Loose around 550 EUR BTC on Blockchain wallet on: May 24, 2017, 07:42:24 PM
If you are able to transfer your coins, do it now. Blockchain is not safe since many years. It has been removed from the trusted web wallet list of bitcoin.org long time ago.

There has been also many fuck up reports from blockchain lately. (like disappearing transaction records and such) Get out before it collapses. You've been warned.

Not only Blockchanin but all web wallet are not advisable to use it as they can wipe of your bitcoins any time without your permission and you can do nothing as you dont have control over your wallet. So it is always advised to use desktop or hardware wallet.

883  Economy / Speculation / Re: this guy is bullish on bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 07:09:55 PM
OP congratulation because as you mentioned the bitcoin price is right now $2400+ in May 25th 2017 itself and as you have predicted i think $3000+ is achievable in this year itself.
884  Economy / Speculation / Re: If I showed you this a year ago, would you have believed me? on: May 24, 2017, 06:24:29 PM
It was unbelievable as most of them after the $1300 price came most of them have sold it so that they can buy back on low thought that market will crash but now they are crying. Even on ETH no one thought of it.
885  Economy / Economics / Re: Difference of Trading and Investing? on: May 24, 2017, 09:08:44 AM
Guys sorry for this question above but I would like to ask here that

What is the difference of Trading to Investing?

though I know that I can search it in google but I want an answer from those people who have already experienced this two.
Thank you.

I hope you can help me in my confusion..

Trading is a business while gambling is a game. They are both addicted and they are both have a high risk. Before you try the two you must first study the trading and gambling.

Just read the post before replying the topic is between trading and investing and you are replying about trading and gambling. That is why you wont be wise. just take some time to read the post or atleast read the topic of this thread

I am not able to find the windows version of Waves wallet because i am using desktop and i dont have smartphone . please help me to find the windows version of Waves Wallet so that i can claim the bounty coins.

there browser chrome app. can and on computer to open without installation
You can check it out here as well for the software : https://wavesplatform.com/downloads.html
I previously use the lite client from GitHub before using their android app. Just download the file, unzip and run. No installation needed just like tkach have stated above.

I have checked with this site and their is no windows desktop wallet, only chrome wallet is their or else mobile wallet and i dont want to use chrome wallet, so i think waves have not launched the windows wallet, if anyone is using can you please give me details to obtain the windows wallet.

I think there is no window client ( the thing that you are looking for) but there is a lite client that can be run in your browser, you just need to download the waves-lite-client-mainnet-v0.4.22.zip and unzip it.  Run it and you will have the lite client running.  It is not a chrome wallet.  It can run on any explorer or browser.

Ok thank you very much for the information, i will try with what you told about it, as i dont want to use the wallet which is linked to browser as it is risky and we dont have control the the wallet but if they are providing with private keys then ok to use it. I have a bad experience of using chrome app as i have got virus attack when i used one of their app.
888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: May 23, 2017, 08:21:59 PM
It can't really be predicted but anything can happen. Though, one thing I am sure of is that the players and investors in the bitcoin community won't want that to happen. I may be wrong though, cause from the look of things, some altcoins are beginning to gain some grounds which I am sure bit coin price is one of the driving factors but what I can't say is the other factors that may as well be driving them and how strong those factors are, compared to bitcoin's effect on them.
What you refer to players and investors of Bitcoin won't make it happen at all. You know why? Because Bitcoin traders are also Altcoin traders in general, when they see Altcoin as some kind of short term profit taking cryptocurrency they see Bitcoin as a long term investment. In general it would be hard for them to even manipulate the price of Altcoin in which Bitcoin is at now replacing a ruling king is hard to be done. Bitcoin took years to be where it is now, I don't see any scenarios on which an Altcoin will share the spotlight.
Yes, it took a long time for the bitcoin to reach to place where it is today. Many of our fellows think that it is easy to replace the bitcoin but in reality on ground it is not. With the increasing price of the bitcoin and the comparison of the alts will not work. I think in future the alts will be keeping the Bitcoin as a store of value for them.

What you are telling is true to some extend but right now after we are facing problem with high transaction fees and even paying with high transaction fees they are not getting confirmed soon. So it will become like that altcoin will be used for transaction and bitcoin will be used as investment purpose.
889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think we are greedy on: May 23, 2017, 08:17:51 PM
We are not greedy but we want the best coin that we can get, the coin with high price and low fee, because for the one that seldom used maybe its okay, but for the one that implemented bitcoin in business, it is going to impact a lot of things and the customer will think twice before using bitcoin

You can have your bread buttered on both side, if the developers can just find a scaling solution that would satisfy the miners and the users. At

this moment, only the one side {the miners} are satisfied with the status quo. The miners are the greedy people in this scenario, because they

do not want Bitcoin to scale. The scaling will mean that they will no longer be able to get these high miner fees...  Angry

They know that they will make a lot of money so why come in a consensus to solved the rising transaction fees?  Oh the miners, and the one that is suffering in the casual bitcoin enthusiast because we are really paying them high fees so that our transaction can be included in the next block. So we are really in the hands of the miners now.

If we dont find the solution for this problem then i think very soon most of us will try to switch to other currency for trading and bitcoin will be used for investment purpose only like. Now i am changing my coins to eth and then i am selling them to fiat currency as the transaction fees is less and it is getting faster confirmation and the price is also i am getting high.
890  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Now Accepting Ether ! on: May 23, 2017, 08:14:52 PM
Just today saw one of the user telling about directbet site getting closed and when went and saw that they are really closed , it is so sad. But what about the bets which are not settled due to the transaction delay, will we get the bets cleared if the transaction get settled or it is loss for me. I have 3 bet transaction which i have won but due to transaction delay my bets are not settled, Please help me and tell what will happen to that bets.

Your bets will be paid out automatically as soon as your initial bet transfers will confirm by the Bitcoin network.

Thank you very much for giving me reply, i am eagerly waiting for my transaction to get confirmed, and it is very sad to know that your site is closing down. Your site is the only site where i am able to bet on live inplay cricket matches. no other cryptocurrency sports book is giving this facility. Now i have to go back to fiat currency for betting on inplay cricket matches
891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: May 23, 2017, 06:34:30 PM
Why is that fair?
They should get payed more because bitcoin is worth more?
They are already being payed more because 1Btc in transaction fees is double from what was two months ago.
That's the point. Those miners absurdly got more than twice of their profits from a few months ago and it's definitely unfair. Though, I know obviously that the factor which makes the fee increasing overwhelmingly is the crowd which had no patience and the increase of transactions. A few days ago, the fee just reached 420sats/byte and now go back to 230sats/byte. It exactly reflects how the amount of unconfirmed transaction really affect the current fee rates, from the miners perspective, it's fair ofc because they own all the profit.
This to me leads me to the logical conclusion that someone, probably the  miners are behind the spam of the network with so many transactions so they force people to pay more money if they want to get their transactions confirmed fast enough and by it they can earn bigger profit.

What you are telling is true that miner are the people behind this unconfirmed transaction traffic and they have done so that who ever is on urgent will pay high fees and confirm their transaction but in between the users who have paid less are getting stuck, and this is not good for the bitcoin future because if this happens like this then the consumers who are using bitcoin to buy goods wont be able to do this as the merchant will only deliver the goods once the coins are confirmed and this will create bad reputation to bitcoin world

It is right that entering the trade based on volume indicator gives you profit but you have to check the range of price moving it and according to it you have to trade it if you go above or lesser then you can be in loss or get stuck with that coin

895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DECENT Announcement - Decentralizing Content Distribution on: May 23, 2017, 11:24:13 AM
Why does everyone think the price is going to be $10 dollars per $DCT? That would be a market cap of $720 million lol

Even Stratis has gone from 1.2k sats to 100k sats over 10months. What do you expect of such a blockcahin innovation in a trillion dollars industry? Please don't hand the whales your tokens so cheaply.

Be warned:
Long awaited projects that actually delivered something were usually around 5 to 10 times higher in market cap when the coin was launched. And that was before The Great Crypto Boom.

During The Great Crypto Boom, the price of all altcoins multiplied. So we may see a 5x to 10x increase multiplied by another 5x to 10x (conservative estimate) due to Crypto boom. Whoever believe Decent price will not suffer from both effects is naive and will sell very cheap.

Just crazy...

Wings was long awaited, launched and hasn't boomed yet

Those IOU tokens always pump before launch so people think buying around that price is legit.
Look at lisk and waves... same thing

Lets put it this way
I have plenty of coins and if decent starts at 4$

I'm buying a Ferrari...

I haven't even looked at any Ferrari, so I really believe I won't be getting a Ferrari

Launch at 20k max. My opinion though, and that also would bring me hella profit.

Decent team build this platform from the scratch and you have very low expectation from this project. In next month when this mainnet will get launched than you will big fun and price will be over $20 in recent situation.

So you bought this at 12-13k and believe will sell for .01BTC? When BTC rose like 5 times since DCT ICO? Are you crazy!?   you REALLY believe that investing 1000$ in DCT would give you 250k$ 9 months later?
12-13k of what? The Ico price was around of 30k-33k Satoshi.

the first week was 1 BTC for 5000 DCT and most of the people in here had the 50% bonus that was extended for almost all day.   So 80% of the decent out there was emitted at 7500/BTC

1 / 7500 = 13.3k  and that was when BTC was at 500$
Please do not misinform people, Btc price was higher than $500, also actual Btc price only gives value to the project.

If I remember correctly BTC price was around $600 during the ICO.

Ya the price of BTC was in the range of $500 to $ 600 when the ICO started and even knowing that the coin will be distributed in june 2017 so many of the users invested in this ICO and now seeing the price of BTC booming so high they are crying for coins to be distributed soon , this is so crazy what if the price of BTC went to $100 range then would they ask the coins soon.

The project is going perfect and as announced if they launch the mainnet on june and distribute the coins properly then i think this project future will be superb if not like other coin ICONOMI type this will happen and you wont get high price in short time.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you risk 10 BTC at 80% to get a 1.2x payout? on: May 23, 2017, 10:54:41 AM
Would you risk 10 BTC at 80% to get a 1.2x payout? or even at 90% for a 1.1x?

Seems so easy to get a big payout. Just not quite sure if i can push the roll dice button tho.

But the easy money is so..

If the bet is in sports betting on the game which i am confirmed of the result then i will surely bet 10 btc on 1.2x or even 1.1x bet. but in dice i wont take risk as i know that most of time i will lose it.

898  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you buy Bitcoins using Paypal? on: May 23, 2017, 10:43:18 AM
If you wanted to buy bitcoins through paypal then you can use localbitcoins site where you will find lot of options to buy bitcoins. but it is not recommended to use paypal for bitcoins as paypal blocks the account which uses bitcoins and if any problem in transaction paypal wont help you. So be carefull when you use paypal for bitcoins
899  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Creating multiple Poloniex accounts is possible? on: May 23, 2017, 10:41:16 AM
Are you going to use polonoiex accounts as storage wallet for years ? There will be no guarantee that they will be into business when you will come back. One recent example : directbet.eu, they were the market leader in gambling industry, suddenly announced permanent termination of their services.

Where did you read that directbet.eu site is closing down, recently i have used their service and i am able to bet on that site without any problem and bets are getting settled

If you want to store coins in poloniex that is not advisable as if the site close down then you dont have control over the coins in that exchange as you dont have the private keys of the wallet address which you are holding coins in poloniex
