I bought some Bitcoin Gold today. I think that this investment will make me money. Who would you like to say, bad comments about Bitcoin Gold are not in my mind. Bitcoin Gold excites me and many things can be the beginning.

Lol, doubt it. Go ahead and prove your purchase of this scam.

So anyone lost their BTC trying to run the wallet yet?

Not sure if this is the right thread or not.

Any thoughts or rumors on Coinbase adding Monero?
I'm really starting to enjoy this coin and have been adding to my position around the $85 mark.

I've always heard it was dependent on Monero getting multisig working before Coinbase adopts it. That was the rumor. So, maybe before end of year?

On another note, Libertas, the new darknet marketplace, implemented a cool auto-withdraw feature.
http://cfd.net.au/article/monero-only-darknet-marketplace-libertas-introduces-auto-withdraw-option-wed-11012017-0350

https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/7a1g50/moneroonly_darknet_marketplace_libertas/

I also thought lack of Multisig was a stumbling block to having it listed, found this. My memory sucks to much to remember where I read that.

I'm sure @Smooth can give a definitive answer.

Just rumors. Fluffy did give a presentation at Coinbase around 10 months ago, and Charlie Lee (formerly at Coinbase) likes Monero. AFAIK that's all that's definitely known.

Until Coinbase adds Monero, you can buy Monero with fiat at Kraken.

Not if your a US resident.

MoneroForCash.com has been redesigned and updated

Hello Monerians - I'm the admin for MoneroForCash.com. MoneroForCash has been serving the Monero community since August of 2016. Although the site enabled buyers and sellers to trade Monero for cash, Money Orders, gift cards, etc., the site had a dated appearance and limited features.

Reddit user /u/tficharmers (https://www.reddit.com/user/tficharmers) has graciously designed and donated an updated user interface for the site, and like before, no JavaScript is used, nor are traceable Ads or analytics. It's responsive and looks as good on your mobile as it does on your laptop.

In addition to the updated design, the site now lets you set your Monero/fiat exchange rate to your desired fiat currency, and we also have added the ability to rate trades.

And, as before, user funds are never stored on our site so it's impossible for us to steal your funds. Even if our site is hacked, your funds are safe since all trading is peer-to-peer. Additionally, we can't absolutely determine that you and another party completed a trade as a result of advertising on our site because we're not privy to any transaction details between users.

Check out our new site, and buy/sell Monero for cash or other assets.

https://moneroForCash.com

Very nice looking site, too bad Us gov is tracking down sellers, I.E Localbitcoins. I doubt it won't be long before we see the same on the Monero side as well.

What are they doing? arranging false meetings ?

No, they are making buys and waiting for the amount to get high enough to file felony money laundering charges.

Could use precious metals as an intermediary for P2P exchanges.

  • You purchasse precious metals on a website with your credit card or w/e payment method. Put my P.O. box as the destination.
  • Send me the order and tracking information.
  • I release the monero.
  • The metals arrive and I sell them on craigslist for a small additional profit.

Side steps the criminal banking system and also avoids the problems with cash in the mail (which is always assumed to be drug money). Does anyone know any other way to get fiat from P2P without going through the banking system and without sending off big red flags in the post office?

I am speaking to specifically using them for local meetups.

Although I would like to know if selling precious metals in person without a license is also illegal?

Yes, meet in person and exchange cash for crypto.

This is exactly how people are getting busted for money laundering without a license. Feds are buying many times until they hit their number looks like the last was like 70k I think and then busting them.

What is the prevailing theory about the origin of the trolls in this thread? They seem to arrive mid-late bear markets, are completely belligerent, and speak in broken English. They are overly hostile and their methods are completely ineffectual. They are unique to the bitcointalk forum, and not seen in other public forums. I'm a long-time lurker on this thread, but I finally had to make an account so I could start blocking them so I wouldn't have to read their inane babbling.

Best reason to make an account that I've ever heard of! I just wish people would stop quoting them so I don't have to see them at all.

My theory is that there is too much margin available on Poloniex for XMR and the shorter's get themselves into trouble. I reckon we have about 25K out on margin at the moment which takes us to a price over 0.02 to cover. They are attempting to get the ignorant to sell and cover their shorts.

Anyway much fun and moar Monero!

Well I hope this is true as all this dumping has been killing me. I'll be losing a years of accumulation soon if this shit doesn't reverse. I blame the Fork Scams on BTC though, even though it's probably a combination of both and the new browser miners adding to the cost of the botnet dumps not to mention the DM's closing killing liquidity.

8827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Monero Fantasy Football League 2017 on: November 01, 2017, 01:30:50 AM
@Carl

I was looking at the standings and noticed something again, meant to mention last week but forgot.

You have the Second most Points and are only 13 behind the leader (MoneroBux), not only that but you have also had the most points put up against you by a huge margin (like 200 averaged! | Techmo with monerobux a close second have had the least) So you have been getting really unlucky to the extreme. Hopefully that will even out as the season goes on so it just shows your playing the right guys but the opposing teams are just having great and probably unsustainable weeks against you.

A record 9 straight weekly red candles.  Impressive.  #10 begins green, like all healthy new shoots.  Of course, so did #9.   What's the probability of maintaining the going green?
I swear I bought nothing!

Yeah well looks like I'm locking down last place against you guys Undecided. My other team in the other league is doing pretty well but it had a $75 entry fee. So what I'll do is assume I will win that league (haha) and buy 10 XMR's with my presumed winnings (!). What I'm really saying is I'd rather win moneros than cash, natch.  Grin

GL with that other league, I'm sure I'll be back tied for last and we will have another gutter bowl game! Smiley

at least that shitty ESPN site finally let me cut that shitstain Murray! Getting stuck with him kept a spot locked on my bench until now.
8830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of DogeCoin on: October 30, 2017, 08:07:39 PM
I remember when DogeCoin was first created. I was hanging on 4chan and saw people talk about it, and I thought to myself that no one can be dumb enough to actually give this any value. But I underestimated the internet. I don't think it will happen again tho. The internet is tired of the memecoin now.

The dogecoin coin is no longer so popular and almost nothing is heard about it. But even in some electronic wallets it has survived and those who started working with it have at least some impact.
I think dogecoin not need now, we have many others anonymous coins: monero or dash.

Why the fuck would you think that Doge or Dash is anonymous? Neither is and Doge never even attempted to be as opposed to Dash which tried and failed. Do you just post without having a clue about what your talking about? Here's a hint...that's one of the fastest way to get put on ignore.

No this is not my project, I found out about dashstake when he started the airdrop. But I've taken interest in the coin and I'm willing to help because I have the resources to support this project. The dev will most likely consider me part of the development team if we get the masternode running but at this point we are having issues setting it up. My programmer is able to get the masternode working in his test environment but when he moves it over to our live system it fails. I'm currently in the processing of moving so my time is very limited this week, but I'll reach out to the dev and see if we can figure out a solution for this problem. I hope everyone can remain patient while we work this out...

It's quite amusing how peops with nothing invested can scream so much about not getting what is essentially free fast enough. Of course those are the same ones that will immediately dump. Thanks for the update BTW.

Getting listed in NovaExchange isn't that complicated, that could be out next exchange progression.

Would be awesome to have it listed on Nova. To sell the coin for 1 maximum 2 satoshi on small exchanges is a waste of time.
Simply can't do that.

Nova Exchanges is not accepting new coins at the moment, there is a queue to wait, I've already messaged them weeks ago.

just stake while you wait....why are people in a rush to sell their coins....typical airdrop dumpers.

NoveExchange won't list USDStake anytime soon:

Thi sis the reply from today:

"
Intimation of closure of Novaexchange
Kindly note "Novaexchange" will have new owners and management effective April 2018, with major upgrades to the exchange to better handle scaling, stability and security.
For better management and security of customer funds we have decided to close down Novaexchange so that the users can withdraw all their funds with no participation/responsibility of action of the new management.

Preliminary plan:
2017-10-30 This information goes public, user registration closes, addcoin page closes, disabling deposits of ETC and ETH
2017-11-30 Deposits disabled for ALL coins, all users get level 3 verified account level
2017-12-15 ONE last deposit scan to take care of deposits made after 2017-11-30
2018-01-31 Email reminder to all registered users
2018-02-28 Trading engine stops, dice game stops, API stops
2018-03-31 Login stop, website replaced with information
2018-04-15 Support closes, all Novaexchange user data removed

Sounds like the Fed got to them and rather than comply they are either handing it off to another entity out of the long reach of the Fed or are creating untraceable aliases to open back up with. Smiley

Nope I did not find any exchange sites to do trading with this BTG.

I have already sold this $$it week ago on Yobit

smart move.
8834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: October 30, 2017, 07:49:07 PM
Is there any exchange that accepts BTG deposits?

I think they are all closed ecosystems right now...

Pray tell how you would even send it?

how many problems with this bitcoin gold

All of them, no wallet, no active chain, , no open sourced, Huge Pre-mine added and the Devs are retards that cannot even patch the code. Just do a google search, you will see. The only ones that are going to make money on this are the ones that dumped the tokens they received on the small exchanges that opened trading with tokens and the devs who will dump the pre-mine as soon as it gets listed on an exchange. they will certainly beat everyone to the punch when the wallet finally gets released.

My guess is when the bitcoin bubble pops. No clue when thats going to happen though. Until then we'll probably keep parity with usd until multisig gets adopted for use.

Great job JW, I would have picked nelson agholor over Ashlon but you got it right, And DAMN, The Eagles D was another perfect choice! Smiley AFA playing Crowell, Really I would not even pick him up from the waiver wire and Boom he smoked me! Getting him to put up his best game of the year was a stroke of Genies! You must have bribed him! ;P

Next time I guarantee I'm not going to remind you to do your lineup and kill me! LOL Cheesy

I on the other hand Didn't put Deshaun Watson back in (32.8 points on my bench) and Played Dak (7 points!) thinking The seagulls would eat that rookie up at home and shit was I wrong! I even picked up the Seattle's D because of this and payed dearly with both of those decisions. I still can't believe this rookie came in and took a horrible Houston team and has been running roughshod since stepping in. I can pretty much guarantee when I put him in next week against the worst D (colts are like on of the 3 worst) that he will get owned. Lol

But I'm still happy I'm out of last place and thats my main goal this year. Lol

8837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 30, 2017, 01:27:10 PM
Just ask yourself why JP Morgan is implementing their solution and not Monero's solution in their blockchain ledger

Maybe this is an answer?

Although I still think the rest of you are even wronger than I am.

If you get how the zerocoin protocol works you will see how easy it is to have privacy. It's possible to keep all your coins untraceable on pivx, by keeping them on the zpiv form, however you can't stake this way.

And once they come from the zpiv accumlator, what can you say about the origin or destination of those pivx? nothing.

Wink.

And this statement just proves that they are not Fungable and can never be.

Hello guys I'm new to Monero, just wondering what is causing the recent drop in Monero?
I know recently all altcoins were crushed by BTC's rise, but is there any specific reason Monero collapsed against BTC?

Thanks.

BTC rises and alts fall (some more than others Smiley ), but Monero seems to hold well vs usd for long stretches of time.

This is one of the busiest threads here in the Alternate Cryptocurrencies. The community of followers of Monero (XMR) is very huge. I guess the feature that makes Monero the topmost coin when it comes to anonymity has bear fruits. It has effectively pulled crypto fanatics together close to this project. Bitcoin, although proclaiming to be anonymous, has been proven to be less. Monero is now the leading figure of anonymity.

Very true, welcome.

Monero why needs keepin' attention tt no relation to Bitcoin etc.  need some respect to 1st of all cyptocurrencies... or no need to make profit over bitcoin lmao

I tried google translate, but got nothing.

I think he's saying that Monero is holding steady with USD and BTC movement not effecting price in that regard.

...

And a simple tip for you explorer  this time dont try to understand via google... Sometimes person needs to activate mind... Wink

Guess I was wrong, In either case your pretty rude so fuck off.

I don't think Monero needs promotion on the forum because real players know Monero is most promising coin. It is real no.2 by all the features and support after Bitcoin and good thing is the evolutionary progress is going on. We will see good things happening with the passage of time.

True Dat.
