8901  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: 20 bitcoin loan on: March 01, 2014, 03:41:24 AM
Hello, my name is Marco I write from London UK. I would like to have a loan of about 20 Bitcoin.
The purpose of the loan is to invest in more powerful bitcoin miners to improve the production. I would like to opt for a long term loan just to make sure I will be able to pay but I am confident it will be repaid quicker.
I am a professional with a permanent job and a diligent way to manage my finances. I believe in bitcoin and if you support me I will reach my goal an you will make profit so we will be both happy. We can discuss about interest and repayment.
Thank you so much in advance

ohhh you are not able to repay as I can understand. Smiley

20BTC? You need a very good car as a collateral or some real nice stuff Tongue
Nobody will give you 20BTC just like that.

I'm interested in buying some FLAP at 0.000000045 for BTC.  PM me if interested.

I don't think anyone is too desperate to sell their flap at 4.5 satoshis a pop.

Did I add an extra zero?  When I posted the spread on the exchanges was between 4 and 5 so I am offering in the middle.

Take it easy man, all Ok with you. Really big walls on all exchanges on 4 and 5... Flatly...

I see no reason to offer 45 sat when you can buy cheaper @polonex...

dont get it...

8904  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Creating an open exchange. on: March 01, 2014, 03:26:06 AM
In the light of the recent news and incidents, I feel the need for an open exchange. Where our btc is safe and that we 100% sure they are safe. No problems with btc withdrawals whatsoever.

I want to develop such an exchange but do not know how to go about it. If those with ideas and input would show me the way I believe I have the necessary drive and connections to accomplish this.

The exchange must be transparent, meaning publicly auditable. Secure from hackers and bad intentions. A place where 2 parties can trade fiat and crypto or securities between each other securely.

How would one go about this? Especially the open part? How can an exchange be trustworthy?

Thanks for your comments , ideas , criticism

Sounds like good idea, but do you have knowledge needed to develop it, manage it, and secure it? Smiley Or how much bitcoins do you have and how much you want to pay people to do this? Smiley

8906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KarpelesCoin on: March 01, 2014, 03:18:40 AM
And what? Give worthless coin to people who have a fortune @mtgox?

Wont work I think :-) or maybe you think that the price of karpcoin will > btc price?  :-)

No. I don't think it would out-price BTC. It's just something I'd like to see. For humorous purposes. I think Karpeles has much more meme-power than Doge. Karpeles is the most ridiculous person in the world right now.

Smiley

Perhaps you are right. If we will think about it in that way.
But people who froze there xxBTC are not really laughing now from MtGox issue Tongue
8907  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which is the most reliable exchange to trade on?! on: March 01, 2014, 03:15:23 AM
With mtgox gone, who in your opinion can be trusted with your precious coins? Bit finex, btce, bit stamp etc.?

I am using: Vircurex, Bitcurex and Bter

I never had any problems with them and prices are ok.

Withdraws in a minute and deposits after 4 confirmations (Vircurex)

and in two months you'll be whining how one of those three took all your coins

not really. They changed withdraw systems after all of those DDoS.
And during attacks they did not suffer any lags for even a while ;P

I do not keep there a lot of coins anyway. But for now I did better thing when sing up to those then if I would did signup to MtGox Tongue isn't (or BitStamp) ?

8908  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Better way to reduce transaction fee on: March 01, 2014, 03:13:16 AM

8909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BitcoinQt transactions not confirmed!! on: March 01, 2014, 03:11:12 AM
I can't or I don't know put those screenshot pictures:-[... sorry ... here are the links

Sender wallet: http://imgur.com/0Y5aHxq

Receiver wallet: http://imgur.com/zIJpXnH

One of the methods:

1. back up both wallets from qt and armory (I hope you know how to do backup) (export private keys)
2. delete blockchain from %AppData% folder.

Quote
(1) Make sure Armory is closed. If you run Bitcoin-Qt/bitcoind yourself, close that as well.
(2) You need to find the Bitcoin-Qt/bitcoind home directory in your file browser. It can be found:
Windows: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin
Linux: /home/<username>/.bitcoin
MacOSX: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Bitcoin

(3) Within that directory, remove all files and folders EXCEPT wallet.dat. The only file remaining should be wallet.dat!
(4a) If you don’t run Bitcoin-Qt/bitcoin manually (or don’t know what I’m talking about), just start Armory. It will run bitcoind in the background, which will resynchronize with the network (4 to 48 hours depending on your connection).
(4b) If you run Bitcoin-Qt/bitcoind manually, restart it. Wait for it to finish synchronizing with the network (4-48 hours depending on your connection).  A green checkmark will appear in the bottom-right corner when it’s done. Then start Armory.

3. BUT before you do point "4b" download NEWEST versions of both qt and armory

https://bitcoin.org/bin/0.8.6
https://s3.amazonaws.com/bitcoinarmory-releases/armory_0.90-beta_winAll.exe

4. Import private keys after SYNCHRONIZING (point 4b)

I hate resident evil. Its fun but scare me like hell..

I like Left4Dead 2 better, it has a better coopareting module, you need to work together with your team mates Smiley

8915  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: March 01, 2014, 02:36:27 AM
Of course, the cause could also simply be that they are retards and their system simply sent the 2nd transaction after it 'thought' the first one failed ... so there was no fraud/theft, it was simply a crap system sending BTC to people multiple times.

that wouldnt happen over years / 750k btc without one feedback from the community

Exactly. There has been a stunning silence from all the people who supposedly received double payouts from mtgox. Knowing this community there would have been some yahooing about it straight-away.

Greed - but isn't the same what ate Mark K. ?
Why he became a target? Hmm?

8919  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox files for bankruptcy, blames hackers on: February 28, 2014, 02:31:53 PM
I think Mt Gox got their customers coins and they want to blame hackers for this.

-------------------

Mt. Gox, once the world's biggest bitcoin exchange, filed for bankruptcy protection in Japan on Friday, saying it may have lost nearly half a billion dollars worth of the virtual coins due to hacking into its faulty computer system.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/mt-gox-files-bankruptcy-protection-094811743.html

I dont think so.
:-)

It would be like a shoot own head out.
8920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KarpelesCoin on: February 28, 2014, 02:30:22 PM
Evening,

I don't have the time to work on anything like this, but would like to see something like it:

Karpeles Coin

1 - pre-mine 744,00 or more Karpeles Coins, and distribute them to those who lost funds at Gox
2 - mint 1,000,000 / month, with no cap, but randomly delete 744,000 coins from the blockchain each month

Post more ideas below.

And what? Give worthless coin to people who have a fortune @mtgox?

Wont work I think :-) or maybe you think that the price of karpcoin will > btc price?  :-)
