I do not think that Nets are as good as people make them out to be. Look at the last game, KD and Irving was still missing games, not that it was anything serious, it was tracing and other silly stuff, they are not injured thankfully, but it was funny that Harden was carrying Rockets and got tired of it and got traded to Nets and started carrying them, he is the player that missed the least amount of games since he got to Nets, that's funny to me.

In the end they are a brand new team with nearly zero depth, so much zero depth that they could actually get better players for starting five. However they will probably get a lot of ring chasers and they will get Dinwiddle back as well, so next year with 2-3 good ring chaser free agents and injured players back, and being playing for a year together, they will be definitely a great threat to any other team. But I still see Lakers as the biggest championship contender for this year.

They haven’t played great. Remember that even the Miami Heat with the Heatles took until their second year to win a chip. It takes time to learn to play together. They might have the best assembly of talent in the league, but that doesn’t mean you’re assured a championship. I’d be surprised if they won this year, but they’re my favorites to win next year. Even the Lakers don’t seem like they’ve got it all figured out and they’ve had LeBron for over 2 years now.

I’ve been offering to sell my collection as a whole, but have been unable to make a deal with interested buyers and will most likely begin selling them off individually in the near future.

Zion Williamson and James Harden were the stories yesterday...  Zion is a monster.  I hope he can stay healthy.  I think he's the most dominant player since Shaq.

James Harden yesterday hitting a game winner to put my Suns to bed was fun to watch.  His teammates seemed genuinely happy for him.  I also found it interesting that after all that Kyrie talk about how he finally has another person on his team who can hit a game winner (obvious shot at LeBron), it was Harden and not KD (injured) or Kyrie himself that took the shot...

Anybody see that Caruso chase down block after LeBron James turned the ball over? It’s those sort of highlights that make me love the guy. He’s constantly showing his incredible athleticism in unexpected ways. They’re comparing it to the LeBron block on Iggy in the Finals.  Cheesy
8968  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will not reach $50,000 on: February 16, 2021, 11:50:53 PM
The title to this thread didn’t age well. It is quite amazing to think we have hit $50,000 per Bitcoin. Hard to believe even. It doesn’t feel like celebration time yet though. Save the fireworks for when we break out the six digit numbers. That will be just cause for an epic party.
8969  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: My 13.02 BTC and 157 ETH complaint against Stake.com on: February 16, 2021, 11:39:14 PM
To summarize: Did you really lost 13 BTC from deposits or was 13 BTC the amount of bets you placed?
If you deposit 1 BTC and make 13 wagers, then you did not lost 13 BTC
Or play with 1 BTC and make it to 13 and then lost the 13 BTC is also another story.

I can assure you the totals I have posted are losses in the casino after the permanent self casino ban,   not total wagers.

Here are my total wagers,  I know the difference ...

https://prnt.sc/zs0jbi

The ultimate question (besides my curiosity of how someone who would gamble away 13 BTC could have amassed such an amount) is if you were to have won dozens of BTC after your self casino ban, would you have been OK with Stake.com refusing to pay out the winnings because you should have been banned? I suspect your answer would be no. Certainly in that situation you would have a much better argument that would lead to more people supporting you.

The best thing you can do is chalk it up to a learning experience and seek help for your addiction before it destroys your life beyond the loss of some crypto. If I’m wrong and you have a legitimate case then I wish you luck in whatever outcome is deserving.

Interesting point.  Take a look at this.    They say if you evade a self exclusion/ ban,   they have the right to keep the wager amount and any winnings.

So,  their position is, they wont be responsible for losses if you evade  (which I did not do)   and they wont pay winnings either.

Pretty advantageous terms for them.

https://prnt.sc/zs5a2m

That is indeed an interesting point. They excuse themselves from a lot of responsibility in the event that you gamble again with a different account, which from this screenshot alone looks like they do not address their liability in a situation where you are able to wager again through their inability to enforce the ban. While I don’t think that makes them liable, I guess that gives you an angle to try and justify a settlement. I suspect any payment would be made to show their commitment to address gambling addiction and not because they are at fault in any legal sense, which I don’t believe them to be. At best you could say their system malfunctioned and allowed you to gain access to wagers again leading to your losses, but I don’t think that excuses your personal responsibility. They could even argue you were taking advantage of a website malfunction and in essence hacking their system to try and profit.
8970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 16, 2021, 11:20:57 PM
Nets look really really good with or without Durant.  The knicks destroyed the under unfortunately.  Randle went off last night and my boy quickley did his thing.  Thibs again giving end of game situation to quick, just waiting for him to get the nod to start.  His motor is incredible and has infinite range.

The best match up for the Nets is coming, they'll play the Lakers this Thursday and I guess this would be an exciting game as they'll meet Lebron, the defending champ and will try to prove that the Nets now are a real championship contender. There's no betting odds yet, but since Davis would probably be still unavailable in that I guess, I think Nets will be a slight favorite.

NBA League Pass is also having a free trial until the 21st, so you should be able to watch this game for free. A shame that the teams won’t be 100% due to injuries but it should be a fun watch nevertheless. I haven’t checked the league pass schedule to confirm this game is available yet, but I’ll be doing so later tonight and likely taking advantage of the trial to watch some great live basketball at home.

I don't enjoy admitting I am a degenerate with no self control,   I think most guys who request a self casino ban eventually ask for it to be removed,  but its the casino's responsibility not to do so after the process of requesting a permanent casino ban has been completed.

I am sorry for your situation.  It seems you realize that you have a problem and that is a great first step.  The next step will be accepting personal responsibility for your actions.  I don't know if a casino is required by law to ban users at their request.  That seems a bit far fetched, but I'm no expert.  If that were the case, should cigarette companies refuse to sell cigarettes to buyers that are addicted to nicotine?  Should we be burning Starbucks down because they sell coffee to repeat customers?  I don't think so.  Should Stake.com have left you banned?  Probably.  Do you have a valid complaint against Stake.com?  It doesn't appear so.  It appears you lost a lot of money from some bad bets and are now angry about it.  I don't think you have a valid complaint.  I also think had you won money instead of lost, you would be happy now.  If how you look at someone's actions is dependent upon a random outcome then I think you have other problems then this.

I am curious where someone with these types of issues handling money would get 13 BTC.
8973  Other / Off-topic / Re: Stroke stuff - "the more you know"... on: February 16, 2021, 07:26:54 PM
Most people stop being an asshole after experiencing things like this.  It's nice to see you switched things up and decided you'd say fuck your legacy and instead make as many people hate you here as possible.  All the lies, the harassment, and now attempting to pull a scam on users here by raising funds for a vaporware project.  I never respected your approach to "scam busting" here.  I also honestly don't believe you've ever saved a single user from losing a single satoshi here ever.  You have harassed a whole lot of people who tried to get into Bitcoin, maybe not knowing the proper way to approach the community that would meet your standards.  This has caused countless users to leave Bitcointalk and possibly even give up on Bitcoin which may have changed their lives for the better.  As far as negative influences on the community go, you take the cake.  I can't think of a single user responsible for chasing away more people from Bitcointalk and making hundreds or potentially even thousands of people's lives worse.  That will be your legacy.  You can blame being an asshole on your stroke if you want, but the truth is that you've likely always been an asshole your entire life.  You've chased positions of authority and been removed more times than I can list due to your horrible attitude, history of jumping to conclusions, and terrible judgement.  God bless anyone that has had the unlucky experience of interacting with you while you temporarily held these positions of authority.  I would like to think at some point you'd want to make amends for your behavior, but more than likely you'll continue to play the victim role while attacking others and spreading lies so that you can feel like less of a failure for missing out on the greatest investment opportunity of a lifetime because you were busy harassing users on a forum to try and feel superior.  A more fitting outcome I could not imagine.
8974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk said he bought Dogecoin on: February 16, 2021, 07:17:04 PM
Elon Musk also said to sell Dogecoin.  He stated that having so many coins centralized in the hands of so few is the reason why he can't support Dogecoin and that those users should sell.  Not only do I think it's unwise to buy Dogecoin now, but I think it's incredibly irresponsible for Elon Musk to be saying things like he has been, that are certainly going to cost a lot of people that don't have money to spare their savings.  I can't tell you how many clueless people I've talked to who got led by Elon into purchasing Doge at $0.08.  These people are more than likely going to lose their savings, while Elon laughs at the fun little experiment.  It's rare that I think Elon does something stupid, usually I think his trolling is hilarious, but knowing that so many people are going to lose money makes me sad.
8975  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign to exclude Vod from DT. Please join me. on: February 16, 2021, 07:13:15 PM
I actually think LoyceV and suchmoon are the biggest offenders of this issue
Cute, there you go again. Why can't you just leave me out of your drama? You've been trying to smear my reputation since I didn't pick your side in your feut with Vod, and of course since I called you out on your tacky behaviour.
Then there is the case of your PM-threat with fake negative feedback because you felt insulted, and your retaliatory Trust exclusion.

Sorry for the off-topic, but since this isn't the first time OgNasty drags me into his feut with Vod by off-topic attacks on my reputation, I feel like I had to respond. Further reading: here and here.

Is this situation one of those mistakes?  In my opinion, yes.  I don't know why he left you that feedback, and I don't agree with it.
I saw the tag earlier already, and couldn't figure out the reason after checking the Reference link. I don't consider this correct use of the Trust system.

You don't agree with the feedback, yet you support his inclusion into DT thereby supporting his feedback...  You are beginning to sound like an idiot defending your own manipulative use of the trust network.  Also, you are the one who retaliated against me with the trust network after I called you out for supporting harassment of honest users.  Funny how you guys are always the victims, never do anything that has any effect on the blockchain, always trying to educate others on how to behave, and then turn out to be the biggest lying abusing worthless pieces of trash on the forum.

You are what's wrong with this place LoyceV and your continued support of those who are clearly in the wrong to appease your circle of trust abusers is exactly why this place continues to fade into irrelevance.  I can't wait until the pigs you lay with cover you in shit, it will be well deserved.
8976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 16, 2021, 05:42:09 PM
I’m glad Anthony Davis’ injury doesn’t appear to be overly serious. I think LeBron can carry the Lakers by himself for a few weeks while AD recovers. As long as that team is healthy by the playoffs they should be fine. I don’t like that people’s first reaction was that the Nets will win the title...
8977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 16, 2021, 02:56:13 AM
I can’t say I understand what’s going on with Detroit and Blake Griffin. They’ve benched him while they discuss his future role with the team. It sounds like they’re going to trade him, but it’s a strange approach. Maybe they feel like they’re going to have problems trading him or something?
8978  Economy / Reputation / Re: ChipMixer directly enables Scammers, Drug Dealers, CP, Terrorists, Tax Evaders.. on: February 14, 2021, 06:48:55 PM
Chipmixer does what chipmixer does.  It's hard to blame them for offering a service, even if it's a service that enables scammers to steal from the very users of this board they are advertising to under the guise of offering some form of privacy.

In the past, individuals advertising for these types of illegal operations have been targeted in order to get them to do the right thing and stop advertising for illegal and potentially scam enabling services.  If it's a bigger issue then the forum's administration could step in and ban advertisements from chipmixer.  Given their guise of privacy argument and the members on their payroll, I seriously doubt we'll see that happen.

Just know that the members wearing these signatures are absolutely fine with users being scammed, having their funds sent to chipmixer to be cleaned, and profiting from that.  Once you know that about them, it's rather easy to see why they always seem to be banded together to attack other users who say things that upset them, like this post.  Smiley
8979  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign to exclude Vod from DT. Please join me. on: February 14, 2021, 06:37:20 PM
Vod has not been the same in the last year, and I don't know if it's because of the stroke or COVID or what, but the feedback he left for OP doesn't seem like a feedback he would have given out in earlier times.  I honestly don't see the reason why he left it, and I've looked at the reference link.

Vod has lost his mind.  There is no way any sane person can excuse his behavior.  The only reason he's still in DT at all is because he attacks honest people and the slime currently polluting DT thinks as long as they keep his anger pointed at others it will benefit them.  Now that there are more corrupt than honest users in DT, it will take a lot more of this realization that Vod is a lunatic by those who support him in order to begin making any restoration of the trust network towards having any shred of honesty or decency.  Otherwise, we can watch as this bubble brings the least amount of activity to this forum of any previous, while one project after another continues to disappear or never be built so that Vod can try fruitlessly to sell shares of his scam to unsuspecting users tricked by the DT network into believing he isn't a scammer.  Granted the problem is bigger than just Vod.  I actually think LoyceV and suchmoon are the biggest offenders of this issue, but then again, I've just been here for nearly a decade and done a few hundred million dollars in trades here, while suchmoon gives out merit to his buddies and LoyceV can use tables, so what do I know?
8980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 14, 2021, 06:23:23 PM
This is how scary the Harden and Durant tandem back then and both are now playing the best game together in the same team with Uncle Drew as their point guard. isn't it amazing to watch?
I would say that the role of a point guard is mainly performed by Harden, not uncle Drew, considering that Harden made another double-double with 16 assists in this game.

I'm looking to watch their game on Friday versus the Lakers, I'm sure the game will be the most watch that day.
You're probably right that the battle of Nets' trio vs. James and AD will be interesting because these teams will meet first time this season.

I would agree.  Watching the team play it seems like Harden is the facilitator while Kyrie is mostly being used for isolation plays and Durant as more of a spot up shooter.  I think they've still got a lot of growing to do as a team, and I'm sure the roles will be more evenly distributed going forward.  Right now it's like they're playing pick up basketball with no set plays.  They have the talent to win playing this way, but if they don't get their act together come playoff time I doubt they'll survive the second round.

I'm looking forward to any Laker matchup with the Nets, Clippers, or Bucks.  Always great seeing LeBron show how he's the best of the best.
