901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin will bring you hope and gambling will leave you destitute. on: December 29, 2023, 05:48:26 AM
Gambling never makes people successful. Gambling only leads people to destruction. If one person in a family is a gambler, the family is destroyed because you will gradually become addicted to gambling and you will fail again and again. There are many people in our society who get addicted to gambling without thinking about the future of themselves and their families. They think gambling can make them rich overnight. With this idea, they repeatedly proceed to gambling.  They resort to gambling to make up for lost money and gradually become destitute. You don't get addicted to gambling and wait for bitcoin investment to get good profits which will gradually lead you towards success.
Yes correctly said. Gambling can never brighten people's future but leads to destruction of people's future. There are also many gamblers who have become addicted to gambling. They become addicted to winning and forget all humanity in the hope of making more money. I have also seen many gamblers who sold their land to gamble but ended up in debt and never made a profit.

Another country is moving in the direction of changing its name so that in the future India should be known as Bharat.

"India" sounds more soft, female, melodic...

"Bharat" sounds more harsh, male, rhytmic...

Like the show drummer right after the punch line.

Bharat Tsss

(maybe only to me because i'm a drummer?)

This became a significant discussion point in India and Pakistan during the G-20 summit in India, where official invitation letters featured the name “Bharat” instead of “India.”

Speculation arose that if India adopts “Bhara”’ as its official name, Pakistan might stake a claim to”India.”

This echoes historical sentiments from independence, where Pakistan objected to “India” due to its association with the Indus Valley within Pakistan.

Instead “Hindustan” or “Bharat” was suggested as more suited names.

The potential outcome of such a shift would be intriguing.

Other than India and Pakistan if you know since 2019, the Dutch government has formally abandoned ‘Holland’ in favor of rebranding as “the Netherlands.”

No explanation has been given by the Rashtrapati Bhavan or the central government as to why 'Bharat' was used instead of 'India' in English. However, India's opposition parties say that the official name 'Bharat' has started to be used because of the alliance with the anti-BJP alliance that has been formed under the name of 'India'.

The discussion started with an invitation to a dinner hosted by President Draupadi Murmu on the occasion of the G-20 summit. It says 'President of Bharat'.

905  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: December 28, 2023, 03:58:06 PM

Communities marked with * (Pakistan and Bangladesh) don't have their own local boards yet but I do hope that will change soon as imho they definitely deserve it and forum can only benefit from it.

Thank you very much I don't know if we will get our Bangladesh Local Board. But the day we get our local board maybe no one will be happier than us.We are constantly waiting for the day when we will get our local board maybe one day this wait will be over.

Quote
Post activity per local board during November 2023

During November 2023 in the 18 local boards/threads 23958 posts were made, which is a solid 8% increase compared to month before (22105). As usual, Russian board remained the most active one, followed by Turkish at 2nd and Nigerian local board at the 3rd spot, with the latter coming closer and closer to the former so its just a matter of time when Nigerian board overtakes that 2nd spot that is usually held by the Turks.

At the bottom we see the usual names, with only the order changing. With that being said, its hard not to notice that Greek local board had 200% increase compared to the month before and I hope that wasn't just an exception and they continue with the similar or even better numbers in the upcoming months.

Quote
Active members per local board during November 2023

Last month 1531 members wrote at least one post across local boards, which is a slight increase compared to October (1504). Once again Russian local board is at the top, followed by Indonesian and Nigerian local boards, who both have the all time high (well, at least the highest since I am making this chart).

Quote
Merit shared per local board during November 2023

Despite the increase of the amount of psots, number of merit shared dropped: from 10296 in October to 8328 in November 2023 which makes it almost 20 % decrease (its 19.1 %, to be precise) and I must say that I didn't expect it, especially since amount of posts increased.

Due such a big decrease, no wonder that almost all local boards have decreased numbers; some smaller like Italian and Turkish and some biogger like Russian and Indonesian local boards. Let's hope that was just a bad month and we see improvement in the next month's overview.

We wanted to continue our improvement but it didn't happen in November. Our local board had a membership of 61 in October but was down to just 49 in November.

The total number of posts in Bengali local board was 551 in October but in November it was 385 which was not desirable for us.

In our local Bengali board, 241 merit exchanges were given in the month of October and only 140 merit exchanges were given in the month of November. We are lagging behind in all areas compared to the previous month.

But we'll try to be more active on our local boards in December and post even more informative posts.

907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 28, 2023, 01:56:12 PM
Bangladesh had never won a match against New Zealand before this series in New Zealand conditions but Bangladesh won an ODI match and first T20 match in this series which is definitely a big achievement for Bangladesh. Bangladesh won because Bangladesh performed well against New Zealand on New Zealand soil. Even if Bangladesh wins the first match, New Zealand is more likely to win the next matches and it won't be surprising if New Zealand wins the series against Bangladesh. The result that Bangladesh achieved in the first match might give Bangladesh a little boost in confidence for the next match, but still I will be in favor of New Zealand in the upcoming matches.
In the first T20 match, the Bangladesh team bowled very well, which resulted in New Zealand being bowled out for just 134. Playing for a target of 134 runs, Bangladesh easily won the match against New Zealand.
If the Bangladeshi bowlers can continue their good bowling in the second match like the first match, then it is expected that Bangladesh will win the second T20 match against New Zealand. But this match could be a tough one for Bangladesh as New Zealand will definitely try to play well in the second match and try to win the match.
908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 28, 2023, 01:47:54 PM
India at 148/5. Jemimah Rodrigues is still there with 33, but on the other end they have the inexperienced Amanjot Kaur. Australian bowlers have done a good job so far and almost everyone have been on the wicket column. None of the Indian batters could get to a half-century, although Yastika Bhatia made 49. It is going to be a tough job for the Indian bowlers, unless the lower order batters can take them to at least 250. The match is taking place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and we can't expect any additional support for the bowlers.
Indian women team played well and collected 282 runs with the lost of 8 wickets. Jemimah Rodrigues made 82 runs and after her Pooja Vastrakar made 62 runs. Unfortunately both didn't make century but they played well.
And now New Zealand has started their turn and the best thing is that Renuka Singh attack was good and she collected first wicket in first 3 balls. And New Zealand now lost a crucial wicket the wicket keeper and the Captain Alyssa Healy. And New Zealand now has made 24/1 in 3.2 overs.
The Australian batsmen got off to a great start by going into bat against the target of 283 runs given by the Indian women's team. The way Australia women's batsmen started the batting looks like they will easily win against India women's team. However, the India women's team played very well but if the openers could have made a little better run in the beginning, then maybe they could have given a little bigger target to the Australia women's team. The current score of Australia women's team is 100 runs for 1 wicket in 20 overs. The current state of play for Australia women looks like they will easily win today's match against India women.
There are wins and losses in the game. But in the game of cricket, it cannot be said for sure which team will win based on the performance on the field.
Today Indian women team players batted well but they could not bowl well for which they managed to pick up only 2 wicket from Australia women team. For the Indian women's team, Jemimah Rodrigues scored 82 runs and Pooja Vastrakar scored 62 runs, which was their team's highest.

The Australian women's players stumbled first when their opening batsman was dismissed for no runs. But the two who came to the crease after him continued to play extremely well even as they took their team to the brink of victory.
909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 28, 2023, 01:32:19 PM
India did not have a very good batting performance due to which they could not score many runs. But on the second day, South Africa batted for 408 runs, which was too much and gave a huge lead. And the way India have done their batting performance today, it seems that they can score too many runs in the match and will not be able to give the lead against South Africa. At the moment, though, they have lost three crucial wickets, and are 101 runs short of the lead given by South Africa. Of course, if South Africa can bat their second well, we can expect them to win this Test match.
If you watch India's batting performance in two innings, I hope you will be totally disappointed. India skipper Rohit Sharma continued his failure in the first innings in the second innings and was bowled out by Rabada for no runs. Lokesh Rahul was the only one who played well in India's first innings, he scored a century.
Still Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer are batting in the second innings, hope they do well, at least they can draw even if they don't win this test match.

ক্রিপ্টোকারেন্সি নিয়ে রুশ উলামা কাউন্সিলের ফতোয়া
https://www.somoynews.tv/news/2023-12-23/yGKDw8tN
