OT, I know, sorry for the all-medical post spree...

Thanks for the comments about NAC. Never heard of it prior to OOM mentioning it. Will have to get some. I'm not generally a fan of supplements, but one thing I can say from personal experience is about magnesium. A few months ago I started taking it daily, and I now sleep much better than before. I have vivid, movie-like dreams almost every night, it's pretty amazing. Like, I'm going to bed with an anticipation of the dream I'm going to have. The only supplements I take are magnesium (400 mg/day), zinc (22 mg/day), and vitamin C (1000 mg/day). The cocktail was suggested by a trusted doctor friend. I don't know if it's just the magnesium or the combined effect re. the dreams...

BTW, I was tested today and it turns out I have COVID-19... Already lost sense of smell and partial sense of taste (basically food tastes weird). Fever has completely subsided. Nose still runny (NAC could help here?). Positive line on test was deep red (high viral load). On top of all that, Bitcoin is ant-dipping again. What a great gift for Christmas & the New Year! Counting on the upcoming ETF thing...

Take good care guys. Prep your bodies and your spirits for the upcoming stratospheric pump.  Cheesy

Surprise, surprise...  Sad
NAC is said to support Sars-cov-2 spike protein breakdown, too.
Generally, higher initial viral load, more intense symptoms.

It got me too, but i'm Covid negative, so it's one of the common viruses that i caught. I also hit my knee pretty hard yesterday, so i'm hobbling around a bit. Last but not least, on Christmas Eve i cut myself with a tin-can lid, a pretty deep gaping cut. The flesh was colored like tuna sushi once bleeding stopped, i was kind of impressed. Between the left thumb and index finger, where the skin is moving all the time, i should have got two stitches, but i didn't want to catch a flu or covid at the hospital, which was overloaded with symptomatic patients already, as usual on this special date and the days after. Good docs are on holiday, and i didn't want another ugly scar.
Soooo, what to do? I decided to use McGyver's stitching (Superglue) and tape my thumb to the index finger for a couple of days, and as far as i can judge today, it worked (did this two times before already, but this one was the largest wound, yet).
Next day: Runny nose. Perfect timing Roll Eyes

Which type of Magnesium and Zinc do you take? With Mg, there are several, each with other benefits. I, personally take Mg-Glycinate (bound to L-Glycin) 2x375mg/d, which is fine to elevate body Magnesium levels, because you can take higher amounts without softening stool too much, like when using Mg-Citrate or -Carbonate. The Citrates give me the shits at about 300mg a dose and worsen my fructose malabsorption, so i also take Zinc-Glycinate (25mg/d), had great results with Picolinate too, but it's expensive.
Only thing to watch is your copper level, but if you take Zn before going to sleep, it should be fine, because the copper can be absorbed all day through other food. I'm sensitive to copper, which gives me zinc-definiency symptoms if i take Cu as a supplement, or eat too much food rich in copper.

You can't enjoy Bitcoin much if you are not feeling healthy, so the health topics are at least a bit related and not completely off-topic here.
But this is just uhm... my opinion, man  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Get well quickly, brother.

Thanks for the comments. Good info. As for the types of supplements, it's Magnesium Citrate, Zinc Picolinate, and Ester-C Vitamin C, all made by Solgar if this means anything. I've heard about the glycinate type of magnesium, will check it out. About copper, I haven't got a clue about my levels. I take the zinc (and everything) mid-day, with a meal. So, you're saying I should be taking it before going to sleep. Will try that and see if it will affect my night-movies (a.k.a. dreams). About the dreams, they're so vivid and surreal, like Dali's paintings or those weird AI images, but moving and with intricate plots relating to my life/places/people/relationships. It's amazing what the brain can create. And it's not drug-induced (unless my magnesium has something else in it!).

Get well soon too man, COVID or not, being sick/injured is no fun!

Thanks, it's mild, only these joint pains are a bit annoying atm.
Zinc is best absorbed uncombined, there's little to none problem when taken with Mg and Vitamin C, but over the course of a day you feed plenty of nutritients to your system that reduces Mg and Zn uptake, like Iron, Copper, Phosphate. Vitamin-C is the least problematic, it gets broken down very early in the digestion process. Just throw in the Mg-Glycinate in the morning, if you want to add more Mg.
Solgar has good reputation, afaik, and there's nothing mixed in to mess with bioavailability. A bad example is Copper+Zinc from the drugstore/supermarket front, or Calcium without Magnesium and Vitamin K2, to name a few.

I do B-Complex (with little B12), Thiamin (B1) and Ginseng, Bromelain, Mg in the morning, Mg at noon, Zinc at night. Sometimes a little B3 (10mg) and B6 (12mg) 4 hours apart to compensate for the much of B1 i have to take against the fatigue, ACE every 3rd day or so.
This keeps my engines running, my hair colored and my muscles/joints free of pain.

The dreaming is a miracle to me. I get very wild and intense dreams from B6, when i took 25mg a day, as well from Supps supporting Serotonine levels (can't remember the name).

A colleague of mine says, in a conversation with another and me, during a night operation, he remembers when I told him about having bought a certain amount of coins and the price was around 1000$ and he thought I was crazy, now he recognizes I wasn't crazy after all.

He didn't remember right because the price was lower than that and I mostly got the coins trough mining LTC, but that was still good to hear, although I would rather not talk about my stash now to people...

Only thing sad is that the stash is significantly smaller as I lost coins in various foolish endeavors, but such is life.

As for the price, it's good it's high, although it makes buying more seem a bit pointless. Then I remember I'm predicting at least a 200K price in a not too distant future so it's still cheap.

There surely can be dilemmas for any guys who have already accumulated a decent number of coins, but still have not yet arrived at (or close to) their own entry-level fuck you status.  No one can really tell anyone else what that level might be, but each of us surely should have abilities to measure our own individual factors, but even the measuring of individual factors still might not be enough if we are still dependent upon the BTC price to rise.

What to do?

What to do?

Of course, when in doubt accumulate, but still if you are doubting that, then maybe the next level of what to do would at least be to HODL..

Once you have enough cornz, and even too much (if such a thing is possible), then you will likely be able to determine that you have enough and/or too much, and we don't necessarily need to go into those kinds of details, at this time... especially if the current dilemma has to do with whether you already have enough or not.

Of course, I find it somewhat problematic to be overly dependent upon BTC spot price to help you determine what to do, but surely spot price is not irrelevant, either...so if the price were to really go to $200k or so in this particular cycle, then what would be the plan?  Are there various points to shave off a little cornz (that would presume that you have enough and/or too much)?  or just hang in there and just watch the BTC price to go up (if that's what ends up happening?).  I would have a difficult time believing that the BTC price would become stable at $200k, even if it were to take a couple of years to get there... but how many legs in advance are we considering in these kinds of speculations? One leg at a time or something else?

You perfectly describe the situation. One needs a strategy but defining it is difficult. Lately I'm talking on another forum (a French one) with people who are planning for FIRE or have done it already, with or without crypto, and clearly their strategies and "fuck you" amount are very varied.

In my case a major consideration is family and country. Currently I'm single but I'd like a partner and kids, that costs money. And country, if I don't need to work, I don't need to stay in this expensive, high tax country either. Living in a cheaper place changes the calculation.

As for BTC price fluctuating, yeah it means ideally you have some cash to "buy the dips", but also to live let's say the next couple of years, so that you don't need to sell corn during dips.

I'm definitely hodling and DCAing until 100K at least, at that point I think I want to sell a bit, maybe 5% of my stash so that I have cash to buy a dip after that. But that's my current thinking.

2 weeks until mass approval?

Pump it…..

@BritishHodl
Whether In Kind or Cash Create/Redemption.

The Spot #Bitcoin  ETF WILL hold SPOT #Bitcoin  ETF.

There are 3 phases to an ETF.

Phase 1: Capital Injection.
Phase 2: Holding the Asset.
Phase 3: Capital Extraction.

The Cash vs In-Kind debate is ONLY for Phase 1 & 3.

In Phase 2, they MUST hold the Spot #Bitcoin .

Stop with the misinformation.

Or straight up dumb takes.

I fear what would happen to the market when they start selling those BTC, the market may face a huge dump. If I'm not wrong then the MicroStrategy won't be selling their Bitcoin at least for the time when Bitcoin doesn't reaches $1M a Bitcoin.
