Oh! I thought they came without slabs like the series 1. Nevermind me. I'm being stupid. Oh man I didn't notice that. That's pretty awesome

There were only 5 colors in Brass right?? you;re just missing orange right? That's right. Orange was like a 6/210 chance or something. I would have to lookup the numbers to check.

please proof read your picks as I did a lot on my iPad yesterday and I most likely have some auto correct errors
My pick should be [insert winning pick here], I can't believe you missed it! note to self to edit post later so no one notices Very funny What a coincidence I chose [winning number here] as well! or maybe I should pick -0.7 = ezeminer

Idea is wonderful. But I want to know is there a chance of someone getting nothing out of 5 scratch cards? Just wanted to make sure if the odd is that strong! Also what will be the value (in BTC) of these loaded coins? Anyways, I want to buy a box, which needs to be shipped to India via full UPS tracking. PM me for quoting the total price of it. Thanks for your interest. To answer your questions: 1) actual odds are 15 total winners out of 95 boxes(around 470 packs) so around 1 out of 6 to 7 boxes has a winner. No guarantees are made as everything is random (possible to have more than 1 winner in a box but unlikely due to the odds) 2) no bitcoin value. I am a US based seller and there are restrictions against selling loaded coins, although the coin has a fully engraved address on the backside of the coin with the full private key under a security hologram if you would like to load some bits onto the coin yourself. 3) UPS in my experience has been more expensive than the USPS. I shipped 3 boxes usps (not tracked) for $34 in a 5x5x5 box. I could possibly get a smaller box to send in lower the cost a little, but i would need to send registered mail (additional $13) for full tracking. Let me know if you want me to get a quote. Thanks Just a small note for USPS, they do not offer tracking inside of India, but tracking to India's customs. I recently shipped a small parcel for $14 to India. I originally was planning on using a priority mail box which cost $34 to India. Both are the same service for shipping, that's what I was told by the clerks at my post office.

It was a challenge to find people for my raffle. Even with a full prize list.
I guess it is just how you market it. I was also in a hurry...

I dumped the set for 9.6 BTC. I really wanted to sell just because we are getting into the uncharted waters. And I could potentially try working on a series of coins myself, since I could afford minting now.

I saw the s-10 spec thread and I know we will never have an s-10.
So I am asking that about the correctly named thread.
Also I will get to have the first s-11 thread .
My guess is it will not come out for a long time and that the s-9 is going to last for more then 20 months.
My guess is no s-10. Since bitmain did not do an s-6
Depends how hard the block halving will hit the remaining manufacturers. If it boosts their profits from selling coin, then we could see more R&D leading to faster improvements in chips. If not we could potentially see bankruptcy... Who knows maybe the s-11 will be burned in over the winter?

Really really surprised that the difficulty isnt going up despite BTC going up 33% in just 2 days.
Trading overseas was what sparked this I think.. China was at 3885 CNY which was like 590 USD, at one point it was a $70 difference in price here compared to there.

|
Wow look at the price... getting very close to $500. assume we will see some selling if we hit it? This is what Cryptocoinsnews had to say. The increase in price can be attributed to the growing demand from the Chinese market, with a weakening yuan. CCN resident analyst Venzen Khaosan elaborated on the BTC/CNY exchange charts in yesterday’s analysis piece, speculating that the price will eventually strike out for $500. So Yesterday was -3.47% with 139 Blocks and again a slowish start to Today, 6 Hours in, with the Period to Date Run Rate at -5.9% Rich Well if in a week it is still $500 then we might start going higher. Block halving is around the corner.

Bump
Bump. Would anyone be interested in a raffle for these? 0.8 per ticket with 16 tickets total? Bump drastically lowered prices for memorial day weekend price bump.

Just bumping to see if there is more interest. If not I will probably raffle off the top prizes individually.

I was under the impression that Bitcoin has always been hailed for its ability to conduct anonymous transactions and was considered an anonymous digital currency as it is still possible to buy/sell/trade bitcoin without the requirement of identity proof or address proof.
However there seems to be much consensus on the forum that trust in trading bitcoin is synonymous with knowing the named identity of person you are trading with.
Is it acceptable to trade anonymously within the bitcointalk marketplace? Is it the general consensus that doing so makes you untrustworthy by default?
Depends on who you are. You could be a person with a P.O. box to keep information more secretive. You could sign messages as your forum name, you could make the return address on a package with a fake name. I have sent stuff to people with the name of Else Webconsultancy. I don't know if this is like the right section to ask the question, maybe try bitcoin discussion?

For example (Block hash ending in): 0-8 0 - entrant A - meaning 00, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 9-f 0 - entrant B - meaning 90, a0, b0, c0, d0, e0, f0 0-8 1 - entrant C 9-f 1 - entrant D
This would generate 32 tickets with even probabilities of winning.
Your hex calculations are broken. There would be significant higher probability to hit entrant A and C versus entrant B and D. Instead use 0-7 and 8-F for the second last nibble. Thanks, I just noticed that when you mentioned it. Will update

Great
Will be know the prices of the raffle or will it be a mystery?? I'll prefer to know them
I'll release a list of all the prizes. Great! look forward to it! Also , i hope that since ticket cost will be high and it might take time to fill all tickets - so probably just register name and then when all filled - take payment ?? Just what i think Registering names wouldn't be a bad idea. I'm also trying to find other fair ways to generate numbers other than blockchain. At the moment I could do 25 prizes varying from 0.06 BTC to 4.0 BTC. But it wouldn't evenly distribute chances among block hashes. For example (Block hash ending in): 0-8 0 - entrant A - meaning 00, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 9-f 0 - entrant B - meaning 90, a0, b0, c0, d0, e0, f0 0-8 1 - entrant C 9-f 1 - entrant D This would generate 32 tickets with even probabilities of winning. To tell you i didn't understood it at all I'll use real blocks as an example: Say the raffle used block 413332 then 413333 and so on and so on. Block #413333, the hash ended in "4d" Block #413332 ended in "50" So if you picked "0-8 0" you would get the first prize. If you picked "0-8 d" you would get the second prize. The entry list looks like this: 0-7 0 - Person A 8-f 0 - 0-7 1 - 8-f 1 - 0-7 2 - 8-f 2 - 0-7 3 - 8-f 3 - 0-7 4 - 8-f 4 - 0-7 5 - 8-f 5 - 0-7 6 - 8-f 6 - 0-7 7 - 8-f 7 - 0-7 8 - 8-f 8 - 0-7 9 - 8-f 9 - 0-7 a - 8-f a - 0-7 b - 8-f b - 0-7 c - 8-f c - 0-7 d - Person B 8-f d - 0-7 e - 8-f e - 0-7 f - 8-f f -

At the moment I could do 25 prizes varying from 0.06BTC to 4.0BTC.Personally, I wouldn't spend 1BTC for a chance to get a 0.06 prize, even if I could win a 4BTC prize. Yea, I can understand that. So far with 25 prizes, tickets would be 0.64, if I had a fair way of generating numbers. Meaning I cannot alter the results. I tried to run raffles for BTC in the games and rounds section, my way was to upload a small video of each drawing using a bitcoin gambling site for number generation and hashes as proof.

Yes. I would play, but maybe make the tickets a little lower or more tickets...
thanks
I can probably get it down to 0.5 per ticket with 32 tickets, I'll just need to find more prizes. I can supply some prizes if you would like.... I think if you broke up the Cas set and added some other fun prizes, you'd get more interest I will likely do that, just need to get more prizes to fill the last slots. I will play too So everyone wins That is what I would like to do.
