901  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Real friends. on: December 29, 2017, 01:12:55 PM
There is too much these days about people have friends as snakes disguise. Well let us take a moment appreciate the real friends. I bet people still have real friends, the ones who truly stand by them no matter what happens. We waste too much time complaining about the bad people we have in our life. Why not appreciate the ones who have been in our life as a blessing. I've been blessed with a whole bunch of real friends who support me no matter what. Are you also among the blessed ones?
I am so blessed even if I have a friends that back stub me because having a bunch of friend is a blessings from above. A people that will always be at our side  and comfort us no matter what. Real friends or fake friends is just the same. You have to give them importance because all of us is equally created by God.
902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the most common uses of Bitcoin? on: December 28, 2017, 05:54:25 PM
I am a newbie in Bitcoin Forum.I know some of the most important uses of Bitcoin. They are:
1.You can buy a flight ticket.
2.You can rent a hotel room.
3.you can buy pizza and other food related goods.
4.You can use it as a investment vehicle because bitcoin will continue to grow in value.

I want to know other important uses of it.

I commonly used bitcoin to buy a load. It's more convenient since there is a 10% cashback. There are also instances that i forgot my atm cards and i cashout on security bank since it doesn't require an atm card to widthraw and it is more convenient. But if i really don't need money, i want to just hold my biycoin on my wallet.
903  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate? on: December 28, 2017, 10:41:51 AM
This is a wellknown story:

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all"

"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego." He continued, "The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed".

But why do we so easily succumb to feed the evil wolf? Why do we hate and feed it and react hatefull towards others?
Envy is the main reason. People hate because of envy and discontentment. I admit that i also feel the same way too. When we are not contented on what we have in life, there are times that we can't help to feel envious toward others. We can only get through it if we learn to accept ourself, if we'll learn to appreciate our self worth.
904  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think the Xmas and Holiday season, caused the drop in the price? on: December 27, 2017, 10:15:33 PM
So it is the Holiday season and it was Xmas. How many people dived into their Bitcoin hoard to buy Xmas gifts and also paid for a nice holiday with their family?

We saw a huge increase in the price, early in the season and this might have triggered a situation where people rewarded themselves with some "Gifts" for the holiday season.

The direct impact of that would have been a higher influx of coins onto the exchanges and if that was not met with a higher demand for coins, then it would explain the drop in the price.

Did you splash out with some expensive gifts and extravagant holidays with your bitcoins, during the holiday season?

This might be one of the reason but that's not for sure. But i read an article on businessinsider.com earlier last week that bitcoin's price started to plunge after one of the founders of bitcoin.com announced that he would sell his stake in bitcoin. No one can tell though that it's the real reason why bitcoin's price drops to over 40% during Christmas season.
905  Economy / Economics / Re: do you think bitcoin is controversial ? on: December 27, 2017, 11:29:05 AM
as we know so many reason to make controversial bit coin currency in practical or real media sanitation. if  we observe very carefully  few past few years we have seen that  criminal activities  or occurrence  are occurred by the help of hackers and trader make it famous moving thousand of dollars outside by cheating  with government law enforcement for that reason value of bitcoin increasing very high. even they make money away from center bank and government unable to hold money from general people and through this process people convert this money into different things. i think this is enough for making controversial and what do you think about my think ?
Yes, bitcoin is contrvesial. I've read some articles regarding banks and other government institutions in some country that were not favorable with bitcoins. I guess that's unavoidable since cryptocurrencies are replacement of a fiat money, they may be concern. But i hope it would someday be legalized and get accepted worldwide.
906  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to overcome depression? on: December 27, 2017, 10:32:04 AM
Hi, I just wanna ask how to overcome depression? I have a friend and she keeps telling me that she don't to live anymore and that it is better to die, she has lot of problems but she just keep it on her own, she is so depress and i can't find the right words to make her feel better. And also can't a person overcome depression on his/her own?
It depends on someone's personality if he/she can overcome a deppression by herself. But for their case, they need someone to lean on, to talk to, and someone that can make them feel at ease to forget their problem tht causes their depression. I would suggest, hang out with your friend, he needs a friend at this point of his life. Watch movies together, have a heart to heart talk or play games. Do whatever that you think would make him/her happy.
907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Are Your Greatest Fears As a Bitcoin Holder? on: December 27, 2017, 09:51:54 AM
"Hacking and scams remain the top risk for Bitcoin holders. Exchanges that shut down or passwords stolen from devices can easily wipe out a person’s bitcoins. Moreover, governments and central banks from various countries are starting to impose limitations on the use of cryptocurrencies.

Digital coins clearly threaten the political and economic establishment, and the regulatory environment can quickly change with the stroke of a legislative pen. Banks and governments typically use familiar language in the media, such as the need to protect consumers from new risks.

We are hearing familiar talking points from politicians who are getting pressured from the banking lobby. It seems that the root cause of the status quo’s actions in 2017 is to protect fiat currencies and traditional financial interests. Competing digital coins represent a potential end to the government’s monopoly of the monetary system." - Bitcoin.com

What are the top risks for Bitcoin holders?

As a bitcoin holder, my greatest fear is that if it will reach to the point that it will go back to its value a few years back. Since the bitcoin's value skyrocketed to almost $20k this year, i am afraid that it would go back to its value 1-2 years ago. If thats the case, there would be many policy holder which only just started this end of year would lose a big amount.
908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If the bitcoin holder dies on: December 27, 2017, 01:09:37 AM
If nobody knows about it then its gone. Might be good to leave it as part of a will.

I agree, you can leave it as part of a will so that it won't be useless. Or, be open to your family, you can trust to them you're btc account or else your btc will be gone in just a snap. Another idea comes to my mind is to add a feature on bitcoin that allows us to add a contact person which automatically received a message whenever the bitcoin account was not accessed in a month or 2.
909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin? on: December 26, 2017, 11:41:30 PM
Bitcoin trading these days has become so rucreative that I am tempted to quit my present job which is not giving me enough time to explore more out of bitcoin world...

What's your take on this, should I go ahead and quit?

Thanks

I wouldn't suggest to do that kind of idea. Eventhough let's say you are earning  a huge amount of money through bitxoinit, it's still not be a good enough reason for you to quit your job. We need a stable job for a stable income. We all know that cryptocurrency might be gone in just a blink of an eye.
910  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to sell? on: December 26, 2017, 04:21:08 PM
Hey all,

Whats the best time to sell besides christmas?
I agree on the other replies that no one can tell when was the best time to sell btc. First reason is that, we don't know when will bitcoin gets its highest selling price. So i suggest, if you really are not in need, do not sell, unless you badly needed cash. But if you are not in need, do not get too excited to sell whenever the price gets higher.
911  Economy / Speculation / Re: get ready to buy guys on: December 25, 2017, 03:59:18 PM
this can be the last pull before all dips gone...  Tongue

That was the fisrt thing that comes to my mind when the bitcoin price drastically drops down. When most people gets the impression that it is time to back off to bitcoin because of the great loss, it is a good thing that there are some people with this kind of thought. We all need this kind of possitivity in life after all.
912  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing money on bitcoin..! on: December 25, 2017, 03:22:28 PM
Nowadays many people are starting to invest money on bitcoin or the buy bitcoin..is this a good approach?
How this will influence us in future?
People continously buying bitcoins nowadays because they only think the profit they can get in putting their money in bitcoins. They/we buy low and sell high. That is our main purpose of putting or buying bitcoins. Just for example, last november bitcoin price was 400k and when you buy at that time and you you holding it until now, we can see that your money grows. We buy it last november at a price of 400k and sell it now at the price of 800k. In short, it is an advantage to everyone of us to earn a money and keep, hold or spend it someday if we need to.
913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I need an opinion on rejecting a job offer or crypto on: December 25, 2017, 02:48:47 PM
I have opportunity in overseas job around 1000 usd. but my mind now not in a stable manner.

please guide me whats the best option doing crypto currency on the home or move to the job overseas?
I think rejecting a job opportunity is not a good decision to made because having a regular job  with a stable salary is important. In cryptoccurrency, we're not always having a profit in any investment, trading or mining we have. But I can say that you can do both things at the same time because in cryptocurrency, you don't have to put all your time focusing on it. You just need to manage your time to do both things easily.
914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is crypto? on: December 25, 2017, 01:40:34 PM
So, I'm a newbie...I don't have much knowledge yet about basic terms in Bitcoining. I just encountered this word in a reply. What is crypto?

Crypto or cryptocurrency is a digital currency. There are many cryptocurrencies available on the web and bitcoin is one of those. You can browse the web to search more information about crypto and you can also find many information here. I have read a lot of threads about cryptocurrency. There is actually a lot of helpful topics here that will help you as a newbie to know more about the crypto world.
915  Economy / Economics / Re: Can cryptocurrencies make physical money disappear? on: December 24, 2017, 03:10:10 PM
As we can see the cryptocurrencies are still being established in the knowledge, socialization and full utilization of humanity, could the cryptocurrencies cause the use of physical money to be eliminated, is this possible?

I believe it won't. For me, Cryptocurrencies can't replace real money. There are lots of consideration if that would happen. The government and other concern agencies would need to consider every citizen in our country. Basically, there were people that cannot afford to access and own bitcoin.
916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McDonalds to accept Bitcoin by 2018 on: December 24, 2017, 02:37:55 PM
Does that even make sense with the current transaction times and fees? You are going to pay more for the fees than for your meal. Unless the fees go down drastically, it makes no sense to use bitcoin as a daily payment method.

The idea is great. But that doesn't make sense with the current transaction fee. And basically in this case,  we are going to pay higher. So if in case this is true, im sure that it wont work for me.
917  Local / Pilipinas / Re: its time to buy bitcoin again today!!!! on: December 24, 2017, 02:10:31 PM
Sa mga nagbabalak mag invest ng bitcoin, ngayon na ang pagkakataon nyong bumili ulit. Its a massive dump ngayon galing $17k fall down to$11k. Baka bumaba pa ito down to $10k. Sa mga nag iisip na huli na para bumili ng bitcoin, eto na ang chance nyo na mag-invest. Di kayo magsisisi, sure ang bwelo ng pag taas nyan baka nextweek. Habang hindi pa huli ang lahat.
Exactly my thought.
918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your house for investment in btc. on: December 24, 2017, 12:00:31 PM
Just imagine selling your $259,900 house for 43BTC and 2 Months in street.

and after just 2 months sell 43BTC for $498198.

Again buying the previous also you will be in profit of $472298.

would you try this technique.

I totally disagree with that idea. A house where we live is a basic necessity and we cannot just gamble on bitcoin. We all know that market value of btc is not stable, if we sell our house in exchange of investing to bitcoin, there is a high risk that we might totally lose a house to live in. It may be a great idea to invest but i wont recommend the way you want it.
919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the current market value of BTC justified? on: December 23, 2017, 04:00:52 PM
It seems now that BTC and many of the main cryptos are our of reach for a majority of people. It’s become a speculative disaster waiting to happen. A peer to peer decentralised form of payment now left in the hands of 2 individuals who own more than 40% of it and an ever increasing and  volatile price which makes transacting in BTC for goods and services practically impossible. It’s fair to assume that satoshi would be appaled by what is taking  place.

I don't think it is justified. But i guess the current market value of BTC going rapidly up for the past few months then it goes down for this past weeks is just normal. In the first place, investment's market value are just pure speculations. We never know when and how will it go up and down.
920  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: December 23, 2017, 03:24:53 PM
For true devotees of Bitcoin, the price of the digital currency is almost irrelevant. They believe in its inherent value or, more frequently, cannot see any value at all in the alternative of government issued fiat currency. Price is therefore not a concern. At the other end of the spectrum, for those that harbor what appears to be an irrational hatred of Bitcoin and anything to do with it, the exchange rate also matters little. They were screaming that it was all worthless when the price was at over $1000, and somehow convince themselves that an exchange rate of over 200 times what it was before that bubble proves their point. For the vast majority of people somewhere in the middle, however, the price of the currency in Dollar, Euro, Yuan or whatever terms is important.

Of course it does matter. Bitcoin is an investment, it is a given fact that price matters. At the end of the day, no one wants to lose money in a just a snap, we want our investment to go higher.
