9021  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: August 14, 2017, 02:08:39 PM
No bitcoin wont replace dollar, its just doesnt make any sense, dollars is recognized and used worldwide at transactions between countries, the fact of bitcoin could replace would be the end of fiat currencies, not saying it wont happen, but we will see another dollar digital money replacing old fiat dollar, atleast is what i believe. Bitcoin should get stable once mine period ends, and its possible to use it as wolrdwide currencie, instead 1 bitcoin we will use 1 satoshi, but bitcoin supply will be always be less and less since fees are required to process any transaction.

Yeah. Bitcoin can't replace the dollar, due to its decentralized nature which governments can take control over its supply and usage. Also, it has many underlying issues such as the ability to scale at a large user base worldwide. Another thing to point out is that Bitcoin is not truly fungible.

In the dollar, one dollar banknote is a dollar banknote. In Bitcoin, due to its pseudonymous nature, you can end up with transactions that come from another person with criminal records, thus making those Bitcoins highly distinguishable.

However, while Bitcoin may never replace the dollar, it will surely survive for many years to come. As it grows in acceptance in the mainstream world, it will become an alternative towards using fiat, for anyone who would like to secure their money and have control over their own wealth. Just my thoughts Grin
9022  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: August 14, 2017, 02:03:39 PM
It seems like not, now everyone is starting to know about bitcoin and I'm sure bitcoin can last for at least 25 more years or more, if any country accept bitcoin, i sure bitcoin will survive at least 50 years from now.

Agree. Bitcoin may never become dead, as long as there are huge supporters backing it from individuals and businesses alike. As price and demand is rising like hotcakes, Bitcoin will become stronger and accepted as a mainstream currency for years to come.

Countries like Japan, have recognized Bitcoin as a legal currency, and others are doing so too. Hopefully, with all the attention that Bitcoin has been getting lately, it will continue to become improved to handle payments at a large scale without compromising its decentralization.

Together, we can make Bitcoin better and stronger each day, to keep it alive and running for the long term. Just my opinion Smiley
9023  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: August 14, 2017, 01:58:12 PM
I like it going cashless because I hate having coins in my pocket. I guess it would be an awesome experience to just having your android phone and pay all the bills with it. As soon as blockchain becomes widely accepted, this MR ROBOT idea would surely come to life. cheers!

Yes. Being cashless, means that you'll enjoy the convenience of paying with your smartphone or mobile device, in a fast and easy way. Transactions would settle way faster than fiat (when measured at a global scale) making it an extremely useful technology for yeare to come.

Of course, it may take quite some time for this to happen, but the more education the people get about blockchain technology and being cashless, the faster they'll be able to adopt it towards mainstream use.

Soon fiat payments would become obsolete, and using credit cards will be a thing of the past, as digital currency payments take over the world by storm. People would recognize the benefits of a decentralized payments system with lower fees than traditional payment processors, and better security (with no single point of failure). Just my thoughts Grin

9025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: August 11, 2017, 01:28:34 PM
I think BCC not only has the potential to compete with bitcoin, maybe BCC is still relatively new when balanced with other Altcoin in cryptocurrency, ETH and XRP have a great chance to compete with bitcoin in the future.

Yeah. Bitcoin Cash is still relatively new, so we should give it some time to see what will happen with it in the future. If it manages to grow in adoption and development, then it will have a bright future ahead of it. Otherwise, it will turn out to become another useless altcoin.

It's price has been on constant decline since launch, which gives uncertainity, what it's value would be in the upcoming years. But I believe that the cheaper it gets, the more attractive it will be to buy and hold for the long term, in case an uptrend in price occurs in the long term.

As for ETH and XRP, they are both solid cryptocurrencies with good popularity, and active development. XRP is used mostly as a gateway for banks, so it will be very unlikely that it will rival Bitcoin in any way possible, since it is centralized. However, Ethereum has a best bet to rival Bitcoin further, as it grows in mainstream adoption with its ICOs, and improves greatly with its upcoming PoS consensus, and the Plasma framework which aims to scale it further. Just my opinion. Smiley
9026  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: August 11, 2017, 12:56:04 PM
Bitcoin is the stronger currency in digital currency world. But to be strongest against the paper money like dollars I think it is a big dream. Because if you compare the bitcoin to dollar the popularity of dollar to whole world was good enough to bring it on top, while bitcoin was popular only to the netizen people or the people who always updated to the current events of the world on internet.

Agree. Bitcoin may be the strongest digital currency in existence, but it can never outmatch the dollar. Since the dollar has a lot of trust from people worldwide, and it is a centralized monetary system, it will always be in the eyes of the governments to manipulate its supply, unlike Bitcoin.

Also, the dollar can be used as paper money for people who don't have access to the internet or credit cards. With this in mind, the dollar has an advantage over Bitcoin as not everyone would have access to the internet to make a transaction. There exists paper wallet solutions for Bitcoin, but I doubt that you'll be able to make offline transactions with Bitcoin (unless you trade the paper wallet in exchange for fiat). With the dollar, everything is much easier and straightforward.

But, I believe that both Bitcoin and the dollar will co-exist for many years to come as people would have different options to choose from. In the future, the dollar might be upgraded to digital, staying head to head against well-known and established cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Just sharing my thoughts Grin
9027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Zcash worth to invest in it? on: August 10, 2017, 01:55:45 PM
Zcash is very suitable for those who want to invest long term in this altcoin because the altcoin price is currently a very stable price. I think in the future this altcoin will have higher price

Maybe. This would happen after the founder's reward period is over. But, if ZCash continues to provide development and innovation at a slow pace, (like it has been doing so now) then I believe that another Zero Knowledge Proof based coin will take the lead, and ZEC will decline in value as it would only serve as a speculative tool.

I think it's still good at least for the short term (about 1 year). Things that make Zcash continue to improve is the certainty of developers to continue to provide innovation and simplify the user.

Yeah. ZCash would be good for investing in the short term, but not to be used as a store of value, since it may decline over time as it lacks true development and innovation. Right now, ZEC is just a clone of BTC's codebase with the only addition of the ZK-SNARK technology. But up to this point, it hasn't managed to release a stable cross-platform GUI wallet for user friendliness, which is key for any cryptocurrency's usability and success.

With this in mind, only tech savvy users will be able to install the ZEC wallet into Linux, and adopt it. The rest of the people who are new into cryptocurrencies will have a hard time trying to figure out how to use the ZEC wallet which is only available for a single platform.

Hopefully, this would change to make the adoption of ZEC easier. But, it is up to businesses and individuals to make use of its underlying privacy technology in the mainstream world, otherwise it won't be able to rise that much over time. Just my opinion. Smiley
9028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is best PoS coin to invest into right now? on: August 10, 2017, 01:47:42 PM
I only just recently discovered pos coins and ive been holding 808 coin and bitbean for the last couple of weeks. 808 is awesome i bought in at 16 sats and its 28 already. Plus im getting 17% compound interest on top. Make your investment back in 50 days!! Atm my investment is paying out £600 every 8 days in coins that are appreciating all the time so win win. Their daily volume has gone up considerably in the last week and id advise anyone to check it out

Nice. Those are amazing results you've got there, mate. You've made ROI in a short amount of time, which makes these coins highly attractive to invest into, especially 808.

I've been staking some BitBean myself, and the results have been fast too, but 808 looks like a better PoS coin to make bigger profits due to its interest rates.

Things aside, another good coin to invest into would be Hodlcoin. Although not a PoS coin, it has huge interest rates if you hold your coins into your wallet for at least 1 year. Last time, I've invested $20 in HODL and now I'll be able to cash out $140 (at current prices) within a few months when the term is over. Now that is a lot of money! Smiley

I agree, Rain is very attractive to invest in as I have and have already made some good profits thanks to the random staking rewards, it's like a masternode coin. I think I'll also look into this JapanCoin as 55% staking rewards is pretty good to make some profits from in the short to mid term if like you said the price stays stable or happens to rise. Another great pos coin is 808 coin like someone has mentioned here as the staking rate is very good and profitable, the volume is now picking up and so is the price so it's been a great coin to stake and will continue to be for a while longer.

The rare staking coins I have are DMD and Triangles and I try and add more coins each week as these 2 coins have very low supplies so they could be hard to come by in the near future. More so DMD once they release their masternodes which will make the coin in high demand and the coins on the exchange could dry up very quickly. Triangles also is a low supply coin with only 120k total coins in supply however it needs an active dev but the price has been rising for the past couple of months now and is holding steady in the $3 to $7 range. Also the staking rate is pretty good at 33% per year.

Yeah. There are many exciting PoS coins in the market that will help you pave your way towards endless profits. Coins like RAIN, 808, 1337, BitBean, DMD, and Triangles, are very rewarding and may make you rich if you manage your investments well.

Personally, my most favorite coins are DMD and TRI due to their limited supply and stake rates. Being rare cryptocurrencies, may make them extremely valuable in the long term, so it would be wise to buy some while they're cheap before the opportunity ends.

Last year, I've invested $50 in DMD and now I've made $600 just by holding and staking the coins into my wallet. The massive price increase, along with the staking rewards, have helped me reach ROI in no time. And if DMD makes use of the masternodes feature like you said, then it will become very valuable in the future. Smiley
9029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Bitcoin Cash overcome the original Bitcoin? on: August 10, 2017, 01:42:01 PM
Long term only one chain will survive with meaningful value.
If everything works as planed with Segwit, Bitcoin Cash will Crash.
Any net search will lead to Bitcoin.

Exactly. If Bitcoin Cash continues to decline in value over the exchanges, and provides poor innovation, then it will die soon. On the contrary, Bitcoin is the original chain and has managed to gather a wide audience, which has the longest standing reputation and support from its miners and node operators.

As of now, mining Bitcoin is more profitable than doing so with Bitcoin Cash, so miners will stay with the original chain, unless it becomes profitable to mine in the BCH chain.

Things aside, it's been a week since the launch of BCH, yet there hasn't been any innovation or active development. If it remains as is, then it will be just a pure speculative coin, and another altcoin which is cloned from Bitcoin's codebase.

The original Bitcoin chain will grow and survive for many years to come. Exciting things like SegWit, block size increase, and the Lightning Network, will greatly boost its adoption and make a positive effect in its price.

All that lies ahead is for SegWit2x to become fully complete (the block size increase part) and Bitcoin would've made a major milestone in history. Just my thoughts Grin
9030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) | Inventor of PoSP! | 2017 Road-Map PUBLISHED! on: August 09, 2017, 05:47:02 PM
great new , please tag me on twitter @betgurujackg so that i can retweet it , hopefully when the masternode arrive we can go back to the last highs

Done. I've followed you on Twitter and will make an announcement of CBX's upcoming features so that you can retweet it as well.

It is exciting to see masternodes coming up for CBX, as it will greatly expand its value over the long term.

One thing that I'm looking forward to is the creation of something physical for CBX that would represent it, and help serve as a tool to spread its awareness in the mainstream world.

With enough dedication, and community support, we can all make CBX rise to new all time highs. I'm hoping that CBX would rise in value from $10 and beyond. Since it has a very limited supply, everything is possible here. Wink

What is your name on Twitter so that we can follow and retweet?

Glad you asked. My name is Abiky7 on Twitter. Hopefully, we can remain in contact to help spread the word about CBX, and have a nice effect in its popularity. My mission is to help make cryptocurrencies become used in the mainstream world by spreading their awareness around social media.

With good promotion, and sure that CBX will gather a lot more attention into it. It's good to be back on track with this exciting cryptocurrency. Smiley
9031  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: August 09, 2017, 05:40:49 PM
For technology this is correct every day we have something new and unique and in some way something that will ease our life in future years. Watches some documentary on discovery channel and they predict that by year 2020 we will have one thing for everything to be our smart solution. One device that will be our phone, PC, TV and car navigation.

So who know what will we expect in this 3 years from now. Maybe will be paying with our mind.

It would be amazing to have an all in one device like you said, in order to make our life easier. As technology is advancing at a fast pace, everything is possible here.

I believe that at some point in the future, internet access would spread at a global scale, allowing even third world countries to get a grasp of this technology. When this comes in, a cashless society may come into effect, as every device around the world will become empowered by the Internet of Value, allowing anyone to pay for services, in a quick and convenient way.

As for paying with our minds, this may not be far from becoming a reality within a few years from now. The whole world will change for the better with these technologies, as everything would be fully automated and autonomous, from drones to bots, and smart contract powered driverless cars. With a cashless society, all these things will become possible. Just my opinion Smiley
9032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: August 09, 2017, 05:29:35 PM
I doubt it. While it's possible to chase its success, Bitcoin build an unbreakable foundation. More and more people start to talk about it. The Initial Coin Offering (ICO) also relies on BTC to circulate its good mission around the world. The ICO start-ups make use of bitcoin in an aim to improve the quality of business services that are useful to us. For example is Everex. Everex is a start-up goo.gl/E2NDF2 that aims to build a quicker remittance service internationally. The use of cryptocurrency makes their transaction a lot unique compared to other popular services we know of.

Exactly. With Bitcoin's long standing reputation, and brand recognition among the mainstream media, it is hard to beat. Also, it is the most secure cryptocurrency in existence, being used as a reserve currency for many of the altcoins within the market.

With this in mind, Bitcoin is very unlikely to become replaced by another cryptocurrency for many years to come. Despite the fork event, and many oppositions within the community, Bitcoin has managed to stand stronger than ever and that is what really matters.

Nevertheless, it is safe to say that Bitcoin will survive and remain as the king of crypto for the long term. More people are joining in, and its word is being spreaded to the masses, so that it would become one step closer towards mainstream adoption. Just my opinion Smiley
9033  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: August 09, 2017, 05:24:32 PM
Now bitcoin is mostly used as an investment not for transactions, transact with bitcoin using expensive fee especially for small value transactions, I don't think bitcoin can replace the dollar

True. People use Bitcoin mostly as an investment or speculative tool nowadays. Since it has struggled with high fees and low transaction throughput, people have looked into other alternatives to use for their everyday transactions.

However, with the SegWit activation on the Bitcoin network, and the upcoming block size increase, along with the Lightning Network, it will greatly boost Bitcoin's transaction capacity, and make a positive effect in reducing the fees, so that the pioneer cryptocurrency can become used more by the masses.

When all these upgrades come in, then Bitcoin may become further adopted in the mainstream world and have a positive effect in its value. Perhaps, Bitcoin prices will soar to $10,000 and beyond when this comes into effect, so it would be wise to save some Bitcoins now for the long term. Just my thoughts. Grin
9034  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: August 09, 2017, 05:19:37 PM
both are the best side regarding Bitcoin. both saving and investment are the safest way to make more money through this system. but if I have only one choice then obviously I will pick the saving part. saving doesn't require any risk or any hassle. you just have to be careful about the market and take your decision at the right moment. then it will be a great asset for you in the future.

That is certainly true, mate. With saving, you won't need to face the risks that may cause you to lose money if bad decisions are taken for granted (unlike investing). But, if you really want to grow your money exponentially over the course of time, then you'll need to make an investment too.

Otherwise, you won't make your capital grow if you depend only on saving. This applies to fiat currency, as with Bitcoin is all the contrary. Thanks to the deflationary nature of the pioneer cryptocurrency, we could all enjoy the goodness of earning great rewards even if we depend only on saving our Bitcoins.

Nevertheless, as long as you manage your wealth wisely by combining these methods, nothing should go wrong. When done right, you can expect to become financially free for the long term. Just my opinion Smiley
9035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: August 09, 2017, 05:14:26 PM
Bitcoin is healthy, alive and well... better than ever before.

The price crossed $3,000 for the first time a couple days ago so I think no one can say otherwise...

Yeah. It is very hard for Bitcoin to become dead, as it keeps rising in price and popularity. Since it has gone beyond the $3,000 mark, it will be in the eyes of many huge investors and traders, as well as, people who are new into it.

One thing for sure is that this year has been very exciting for Bitcoin, and has marked a new beginning towards mainstream adoption and user acceptance. With upcoming improvements such as block size increase, and the activation of the Lightning Network, things will change for the better.

Therefore, we could all say that Bitcoin is better than Gold, as it has a greater value, and security that you can count of. Being decentralized, means freedom for anyone who would like to secure their money without any external interference from third parties. Just my thoughts Grin
9036  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: August 09, 2017, 05:04:18 PM
I keep doing this altcoin trading and it seems like it is true that there is a lot of profit there.
Hopefully, before I become a full pledged Hero member I can somehow make a lot of money out of there.
I have some losses too but it didn't come to the point where I lose more than I have profited.
Luckily I somehow get out before it will become zero.

That is good to know. Because, there is a wealth of opportunities within trading altcoins which would allow you to expand your capital over the long term.

While trading is not for everyone, it can become very rewarding if you manage to get a grasp of it. There will be times where you'll experience losses, but it is good to assure your profits when you still can to become successful in this task.

Nevertheless, whenever it is trading, mining, or even working for altcoins, they certainly are profitable due to their extremely volatile nature. If you want to protect yourself from their volatility, just exchange the coins to another which is pegged to the value ot fiat like Tether or even Nubits. Just my opinion Smiley
9037  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: August 07, 2017, 05:06:07 PM
and to me i think its popularity is still increasing, because in my area even in my whole country some years before there were people who knew about bitcoin, but now the number of bitcoin users are increasing from time to time. and even in my area the number of bitcoin users are increasing.

Yes. Its popularity is increasing each day, and as a result of demand, its price have followed too. This year, has marked a new beginning for Bitcoin as it has increased in value, as well as, it has managed to gather the attention from the miners to upgrade its transaction capacity.

Therefore, with all the positive things that have been occurring with Bitcoin lately, it is hard to say that it will become dead anytime soon. Its strong support from miners, node operators, developers, and the community, will keep it going for many years to come.

It wouldn't be surprising to see Bitcoin become worth $10,000 in a couple of years from now. Because, given the fact that it has a limited supply, and deflationary model with its halving events, it will become a highly valuable cryptocurrency for the masses. Seeing how everything goes for Bitcoin, it can be compared to Gold, or even better as it provides bank grade security and immutability. Just my thoughts. Grin
9038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is best PoS coin to invest into right now? on: August 07, 2017, 05:01:09 PM
Well everything seems very good now about BTC and BCH, top 1 and top 3 in coinmarketcap having ETH sandwiched beetween them.
Since I have the amount of BCH as my BTC holdings, 75% of my BCH I will be selling for BTC.
Then I will buy more RAIN and IFLT. Plus I will venture into JapanCoin, a new PoS/W coin with 55% PoS percentage per year.

And you know what else just happened atm? as i'm writing this I just received +500 ONIONs. Wow Grin

Nice. Selling BCH for Bitcoin is very ideal to expand your profits and invest that money into PoS coins with high rewards. At the moment, BCH's value has been on constant decline, which may be the result of Bitcoiners dumping it in exchange for free money.

Things aside, RAIN is a very attractive PoS coin to invest into right now. It has high rewards that will keep you staking for months. This new PoS coin you've mentioned called JapanCoin looks attractive too.

With its 55% stake rates, you can make ROI within a year if prices don't go lower than what was initially invested.

All in all, it's good to grab a couple of these PoS coins to stake for the long term and build your way towards endless profits. The fact that there are many PoS coins with high rewards, makes it easy for anyone to start making money right away with little effort. And best of all, power consumption is very low when compared to mining cryptocurrencies, making them ideal for investing in the long term.

Nevertheless, it's good to see new PoS coins emerge in crypto land as it expands the options to choose from within them. From high stake rewards coins like 1337, to rare valuable PoS coins like Diamond, the possibilities of making profit here are endless. Just my opinion Smiley
9039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Bitcoin Cash overcome the original Bitcoin? on: August 07, 2017, 04:56:08 PM
Bitcoin Cash can never overcome the original Bitcoin. I cannot think of such a possibility. Bitcoin is still the ruling king of the kingdom of cryptocurrencies. Right now the price of bitcoin is soaring really high and Bitcoin Cash is on the opposite.

Exactly. Bitcoin Cash can never overcome Bitcoin as it lacks the strength and wide user acceptance it needs to do so. On the contrary, Bitcoin is the original chain with a wider audience and stronger hashrate, making it the top choice for anyone who would want to secure their funds for the long term, or use it as a store of value like Gold.

With this in mind, Bitcoin will continue to rise in value over the course of years, while Bitcoin Cash will continue to decline massively in price unless it spikes in user interest and support.

But until now, Bitcoin Cash is just another altcoin that may become worthless as time goes by. It could all change if it gains traction, but it is very unlikely that it will happen.

Nevertheless, we can all enjoy the goodness of Bitcoin's security and acceptance, while taking advantage of the high transaction throughput that Bitcoin Cash provides. Just my thoughts Grin
9040  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: August 07, 2017, 04:51:07 PM
If you are talking about Bitcoin, investing bitcoin in altcoins. The best you can do is invest in altcoins. If the ICO become successful, your money will have a profit then capital back. I am planning to invest my money in some altcoins.

In investing, the higher amount the higher the risk you can get but if the investment will succeed, the higher amount the higher profit you can make. It is the same in gambling, it has the same definition for me. You could risk everything like money, trust, and hope.

Agree. Investing in altcoins would be the most ideal way to make profit. As they tend to become hyped, you can expect for prices to increase massively, making you earn lots of money if you've managed to buy some when they were cheap.

But, as with any investment there is a risk. Therefore, you would need to proceed with caution, especially in the highly volatile world of cryptocurrencies, to help avoid undesired results.

Usually, altcoins are even more volatile than Bitcoin itself. But, if you manage to that advantage of the situation, then you could become very successful with your investment.

Nevertheless, whatever you do with your investments, never put all your eggs in a single basket. If you invest everything into a single coin or asset, then the risk will be greater as prices may decline at any moment leaving you with huge losses. Just my opinion Smiley
