9021  Economy / Speculation / Re: Сontinued growth or dramatic fall on: April 27, 2018, 03:38:34 AM
I think that the sharp drop will not be long, because recently we only felt a sharp increase in the price.
I may think that market drama isn't fully end yet, we surely surprise when we saw market dump again. But we not just to think it more, the most important is that we have a good market today and we just need full support from the community to help out from possible corrections happen in the coming days. Even though we cant escape from it but least we are not so affected when it come.

Of course its a never ending, cyclical movement. Just like we saw in December, everyone thought that the market will go on a continued rise, however, the bearish trend took over the market for almost 4 months resulting to 70% lost if I'm not mistaken. But the good thing though is that there's always a good chance to recover, and now it seems that we are in that recovery phase although there's a minor dip to $8700 but the price bounce back to $9200. We are still far away from breathing a sign of relief, but its a good sign that we might be in the next coming days specially if we test $10000 and sustained it. Everyone should join, before the bulls makes its run again. You don't want to be left out when the market hits another all-time-high in the future.
9022  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines Legalizes Cryptocurrency Exchanges in Economic Zone on: April 27, 2018, 03:31:40 AM
Well this is another good news for Philippines. But i think Philippines will be more strict on implementing for this, so that it will not become a haven for scammers too. Cryptocurrency is a pioneering and this blockchain technology is new that can be exploited for fraudulent purpose.

I'm pretty sure that authorities in the Philippines have already look at this before allowing anyone to put up a business related to crypto. About 2 weeks ago, there was a reported Ponzi scheme in the county, and I  thought that they might not go as plan regarding the crypto exchanges that they are planning to open, but lo and behold, the government was not affected by the Ponzi scam and still open the doors for crypto enthusiast in the country. This is really a welcoming news for all Filipino bitcoiners out there. Pretty soon another Asian country will be a crypto hub and who knows, the Philippines might attract projects to come in like ICO's company and to help the economy to grow as well in the next coming years.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2018/04/25/nasdaq-ceo-bitcoin-trading-cryptocurrency/

It seems as though now that the cryptocurrency market is recovering people are jumping back onto the ship. CEOs are starting to back cryptos and like they never stopped. It is amazing how many people change their stances when their is an influx of capital flowing into the market. It certainly makes it easier top see who is saying what just for the publicity and their own benefit.

Good Luck Traders,
The Elysian Team

I don't think that any statement coming from a CEO will really sway the price on the next levels. We have seen from the past CEO saying positive things about crypto, but it didn't put significant dent on the price. Unless you are really in the levels of Bill Gates or Steve Jobs who has so much influence because they are a true visionary. The influx of money comes form us, casuals, who have been in bitcoin through its ups and downs and making it climbed in the last couple of weeks. If any CEO is saying good things about crypto, its because their company has a vested interest on it.
9024  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin before April 27 on: April 27, 2018, 02:45:53 AM
Did you see that bounce in Bitcoin? You must be feeling great if you bought the dip on February 2, 2018 for around $6,000…Or maybe you missed that opportunity, simply because you don’t know how to get started. If that’s the case, don’t worry. Shocking news has broken about a huge multibillion-dollar company that has proven my findings to be right…Findings that could help anyone turn $100 into a retirement fortune…But there’s no time to waste, Because I expect it to happen as early as April 27. Don't think is too late to invest now, Make up your mind then buy some coin down now.

Bitcoin Price : $8,812.95 USD (-8.69%)

The green days is over, don't know if the red mark will continue this few days or not. Hope the issue of MEW will fixed, damn hackers. The image of bitcoin is going to be ugly again, sad to say , the value will surely affected because of it.
With its huge potentials, robust community and as the flagship cryptocurrency, you can never say never with Bitcoin. I must say, except for those without some profound knowledge in Bitcoin, magical dates and strong evidences are not really necessary to profit from the market. If you can identify when a bottom has started to form in the market, just start buying, don't wait for any further prompting or some crystal balls. If you're doing that well - rinse and repeat, you don't need price to retest or make new ATHs to corner some handsome profit off the market.
Marked date or magical date or special date is nonsense here in crypto currency, as long as you keep going, you gonna find trap or handsome profit that you want to. But it's better to keep it up and try a lot of strategy to become more successful than this day. Good luck to everyone of us.

Right, there's no such thing as magical date in  crypto specially in bitcoin. So I would advise everyone not to listen or better used your common sense as everyone here believed that there's no specific date for the market to pump unless there is a serious pump-and-dump group on bitcoin which I doubt there is one. The price fluctuates from $9500-$8700-$9200 as of the moment, wild swings that can no one can even predicted in in the span of 2 days.
9025  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-27] Alleged Crypto Pump and Dump Group Exposed by an Apparent Insider on: April 27, 2018, 02:18:22 AM
LOL. I was having a good laugh reading the article. So that's how they operate, mostly on unknown trading platform so the risk is small but the reward is big. The only coin I'm aware of is Haven, because I saw some threads in the speculation section asking about it but I didn't put too much emphasize on this shit coins. So let this article be a rude awakening for newbies not to join this so called pumpers group because you will eventually lose at the end and the one making a lot of money is group itself because they have really bought it quite cheap and suddenly dumps it so hard taking much of the profit in the end.
9026  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BITCOIN IN AFRICA on: April 27, 2018, 02:10:41 AM
Which African countries allow Bitcoin transactions? Is Bitcoin currently used to purchase items in any African country?
I think there is some African countries that allow bitcoin transactions or maybe they haven't yet any rules about bitcoin and in general cryptocurrencies, Few of them are in the north of Africa. I heard that there is some countries in Africa that allow using bitcoin to buy some items, like electronics and paying bills, etc.

You can checked which countries allow bitcoin here : (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country_or_territory#Africa)

And you will be surprised that Google Searches about Bitcoin yielded Nigeria, South Africa and Ghana as the top 3 nations searching for the Keyword "Bitcoin". That's why I still believed that there's so much leg room for bitcoin in Africa. The only issues is infrastructure, but I guess everyone there has a cellphone so I'm thinking that there is a greater chance in the next couple of years, Africa will be the next continent that will adopt cryptocurrency.
9027  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any good bitcointalk signature campaigns coming up? on: April 27, 2018, 02:00:42 AM
Does anyone know of any good signature campaigns for ICO's coming up in the next few months? The current one I'm doing will end in early April so I'm starting to look for the next one.

LOL. I'm pretty sure you know where to check them buddy. There are a lot of bounty campaigns for upcoming ICO's, but the problem is that there are risk involve that you might not get paid in the end or the payment is not as what you have been expecting or worst after promoting the ICO's they suddenly took off and closed their project and take away the money of the investors resulting of you not getting paid. Goodluck finding bounty campaigns that will fit you need.
9028  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Analysis on: April 26, 2018, 04:29:53 PM
Bitcoin Price Analysis: Mood Swings

Last week was not easy for cryptocurrency market. The situation made worse by the negative news, so even ardent cryptocurrency enthusiasts have become despondent. However, at the moment there is mood swings in the market and it seems that the buyers are trying to dominate again.

The current fall is within the framework of the long-term layout of the new global growth in the second wave, while the price may drop almost to the beginning of the first. Critical point will be leaving below $ 6000 - this will mean scrapping the current picture, and for bears, targets below $ 5000 will open.
btc daily chart
~ snip ~

We also need to close around $ 11,000. Achievement of this level will give hope to bulls on breaking of a downside trend and continuation of the upward movement. There are already less than two weeks to realize this scenario.
If we talk about short-term prospects, then, as predicted in the previous analysis, during the G20 meeting, volatility may greatly increase. Cryptocurrency investors could already observe the echoes of this, when today in a matter of hours the price of the first coin has increased by about 10%...https://en.bit.news/bitcoin-price-analysis/
Today and tomorrow it is necessary to be especially attentive and not to make rash and impulsive transactions.
You can see that bitcoin prices in the past few days have been rising steadily and now are showing signs of slowing down. Currently bitcoin is adjusting at $ 9500 level and according to my analysis, the D1 frame prices are showing signs of divergence, indicating that bitcoin prices are showing signs of buying down but price increases, This is very dangerous, suggesting that bitcoin prices will probably decrease in the near future.

We have seen minor pullbacks already and it seems that your analysis is somewhat correct as the price dip to $8800 from as high of $9500. Critical day is yesterday, but it seems that bitcoin is overbought that's why a pullback is necessary. Daily traders making profits is just normal. But I don't think that this pullback will go below $8000. I see the deepest that we can get would be $7800. There will be strong support in the lines of $8000, but we have to see how it goes if it even goes below that. So let's say, we need to be cautious and observant and take every precautions specially for day traders.
9029  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [26-04-2018] Philippine Government Opens Doors To Crypto Operators on: April 26, 2018, 02:39:05 PM
I try to check the link but it seems unavailable as of this time. However, the last time I heard it was reported that they are allow 11 local trading exchanges to be open so I don't know if this is different from the 10 blockchain and digital companies being reported in the article. But I don't know if it can totally eradicate unemployment in the country, but perhaps can give more people another opportunity to get a job as we all know that unemployment is one their problems. That's why poor people went as far as involving themselves in selling drugs. Anyways that another issue, goodluck and hope that the country can moved forward in the next decade.
9030  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: UAE Government launches Blockchain Strategy 2021 on: April 26, 2018, 02:28:34 PM
The strategy is expected to contribute to saving AED11 billion (USD 3 billion) spent annually on document transactions and documents, 77 million hours of work, reduce government documents by 389 million, and save 1.6 billion kilometres spent driving.

https://www.opengovasia.com/articles/uae-government-launches-blockchain-strategy-2021

That's the beauty of Blockchain technology because its really change how data is being save and stored. It can literally saved millions (in the case of UAE billions worth) of dollars. The only drawback is that it can also reduce employment because they don't need to hire people just to go on that documents because the technology will handle everything. But its all good if government can save billions and channel that funds to more productive used to help their people (although they are very rich nation.)

9032  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Struggling to Reach Over 9K on: April 26, 2018, 01:28:36 PM
https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-struggles-above-9k-as-bull-breakout-stalls/

It seems as though the bull market everyone is hoping for and expecting is on pause at the moment. BTC has hit a point where every time it touches 9k, many sell orders go through and push it back down just below this mark. There will be a time when buys will overtake these momentary road blocks. Until then its just a waiting game.

Good Luck Traders,
The Elysian Team

If many sell that is only healthy. Problem s when no one sells and they just hold since they are afraid price will go up and up and up as it happened a t end of last year, then price gained value fast. way to fast and it went way to high. This smaller price growths are way better and healthier.
Bitcoin has proved it yesterday as the price grown up from 8.9k dollar to 9.1k dollar that hit over 9k dollar and now today if we search the price in search engine tell us the further increased value that is 9.35k dollar which is over 9k dollar so the overall price is increasing and there is a great probability that Bitcoin can lead onto its previous longest jump.

Yes it could, unless it will have a pullback and retrace to some lower level.  Price last 3 weeks steadily increase. But it is impossible to expect that that can happen without ending. Longer time price for Bitcoin will gor and stronger it will grow, stronger will be this pullbacks.  What happened today was expected and super positive for Bitcoin.

However, after jumping as high as $9500 yesterday, it goes on another pullback and its just about $8900 today. Oh well, that the nature of bitcoin, price is very fragile. I'm assuming that daily traders are making profits in the last 24 hours that's why the price goes on another minor correction. But its still a healthy pullback for me, I can still get in a buy at this current price because to be honest, it is still quite. For those who worry why the price goes down again, you don't need to, I'm still optimistic that the price will still go back around the $9500-$10000 ball park in the next coming days.
9033  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-24] Market Strategist Sees BTC Soon Hitting Between $11,500 And $11,800 on: April 25, 2018, 01:53:12 PM
I believed the predicted value of bitcoin by Bill Baruch of Blue Lines Futures must have been based on certain analysis which was not revealed, all these predictions must have been thoroughly  scrutinized before being published and from technical point of view it seems bitcoin is heading to $11K as predicted a major resistance is at that zone obviously pullbacks might occurs but the price will get there.

If Bill is strategist then he must have something to back up his claims and maybe he didn't revealed it but I'm sure that its based on TA. Let's see how it goes though, I don't follow certain market analyst or predictors but I love to read what they all saying and we don't know, maybe it could a hit a bulleyes. One things for sure though, when this market starts to move, it move very abrupt and no resistance or hurdles can withstand its force. So let's give him the benefit of the doubt and wait till his prediction happened. He may have persuaded some investors to spend and pour their cash with his predictions. Grin
9034  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Struggling to Reach Over 9K on: April 25, 2018, 01:20:04 PM
The struggle for bitcoin to break $9,000 resistance is over as its value is currently above $9,500 and so many people believe that $10,000 is the next target though I believe $15,000 is the target if all things are equal.

But after hitting $9500, the price makes another correction to $9200. So it looks like as we hit another milestone of $10,000, $12,000, $14,000 there might be correction that need to overcome before we get to $15,000. Good thing though is that the market remains very bullish and it looks like there are significant interest again.

$9000 has been reached, yay, but we've still got a looong way to go before we're even near the ATH.  But yes, I have to share the joy that we're finally out of the range we've been stuck in.  $6500 or whatever was the dip was deflating.  And it was a slow, death of 1000 cuts, type of torture while getting there.  What I'm hoping is that this isn't a dead cat bounce, that bitcoin isn't going to drop even lower after the suckers have been shaken from the tree.  We'll see.  Celebrate while the champagne is cold, I guess.

I wouldn't be celebrating, not yet, unless we cross and sustain $10000 levels. $6500 is the last bottom we got and we need away from it to at least breathe a sign of relief or even declare that we are out of the woods. $10000 to $12000 will be a good gauge in my opinion. But it is still a long way to go, and I would rather see us takes baby steps instead of like seeing a article pump again just like the December madness.
9035  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Bloodbath to End on: April 25, 2018, 01:05:49 PM
Those are some good news!!
Firms like Audi thinking seriously about entering into the crypto world can always launch the coin, at least in relation to popularity, which is a great thing!!
Now, to be honest, and, due to Bitcoin recent prices, recent ups and downs, I prefer to stay calm, to observe and to wait, for the market seems to work sometimes in a mysterious way!! Bitcoin is really low today, so I prefer not to deposit hope into the new goods, but stay calm and wait for the market to speak...

This is not a sure thing to give either bad or good impact on bitcoin and some cryptocurrencies,
We need to wait more time to see the effect, but one thing more that we don't want to see any time is those exchange closing and waving white flags because of those people and groups who want to regulate cryptocurrencies.

Looks like the what the OP mentioned has something to do with the start of the bullish sentiments around 1st or 2nd week of April that makes the price of bitcoin goes up even touching $9500 but went on other price correction. There are really a lot of great news to us, however, it was quickly buried when one negative news that will come along. However, we haven't heard anything yet that will significantly impact the price to go down again, so we might see the price testing the 5 digits before the end of the month.
9036  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is making admirable progress! on: April 24, 2018, 12:57:12 PM
Many orthodox media at this time are spreading information about Bitcoin's record-breaking price, that Bitcoin will soon be wiped out and forgotten. However, in contrast to Bitcoin's "death penalty" scenario, it is possible to spot positive signals in recent meetings and comments from financial experts when it comes to the technological foundation behind the currency.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Mark Carney, the Governor of the Bank of England said that Bitcoin was a failure of the monetary system. However, he acknowledged that Bitcoin acted as a guideline in many respects. edge of social life.

Carney also said the currency was a challenge for central banks and supervisors of the payment and market system. Hofrichter, head of global economics and strategy at Allianz Global Investors, also emphasized that we should separate Blockchain from the weaknesses of Bitcoin and other currencies in the current context.

You don't have to look further. Even IMF's Christine Lagarde, already put crypto currencies to the limelight again. If you are going to read her blog, (https://blogs.imf.org/2018/04/16/an-even-handed-approach-to-crypto-assets/), she put a lot of good valid points, so I believed that it has somewhat stirred some confidence in crypto investors to pour cash into the ecosystem that's why we are in climbing the ladder so to speak.

It is undoubtedly that blockchain technology (or decentralized ledger) has significant potential - at least the ability to save the cost of managing transactions and networking to the maximum. This promotes a range of financial institutions, including central banks, to learn more about Blockchain and its practical application platforms - including the conduction of financial transactions.

Blockchain will really change the landscape of different industries globally including banks. Just ironic though that banks are afraid of bitcoin but adopting the technology behind it.

So, if the red is spreading throughout your investment portfolio, do not worry too much. If you bought bitcoin at over $10,000? Relax and believe in the growth of Blockchain technology in the foreground. From this perspective, beside price fluctuations, the limitation in scalability is Blockchain's biggest barrier.

Good advise. But you have to understand that there are a lot of newbie investors and they can't really help it seeing their portfolio being down in the last couple of months. So they just decided to sell everything and get out and their dreams shattered. LOL. Scalability is a hot topic ever since, but bitcoin still exist. Let's see how everything pans out when LN is implemented.
9037  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-23] Bitcoin Struggles Above $9K as Bull Breakout Stalls on: April 24, 2018, 12:45:13 PM
Few hours later, and the 9.000 resistance is gone Smiley Real chellange will be the 10.000 mark though...

LOL. I just saw that the psychological barrier has been broken already and the price is above $9200 now. Of course every levels is an obstacle, but when bitcoin is on a bull run everything on the way was easily overrun in a day or 2. $10000 mark will be tough, but I'm sure that as we inch closer to it, we may see some resistance, but it will eventually be broken like $9000. If indeed at the end of the month the $10000 is achieved, and as we move further away from the last bottom price, we can say that we are out of  the woods and probably breath some sigh of relief.
9038  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is Russia is on the way to adopt cryptocurrencies? on: April 24, 2018, 12:40:23 PM
In Russia, they do not like technology, only oil and gas. The ban on telegrams showed this again. Most likely, soon the crypto currency will begin to be regulated, or may even be banned.

Right. I don't think that they don't like technology, because they will be really left behind if they don't accept it. However, they refuses to acknowledge everything that will put to much freedom on its people like bitcoin and cypto in general. And just to please their people, they created a crypto back currency, but I haven't heard anything positive about it. Banning telegram is another sign that they won't allow their people to used it for crypto purposes. The ironic part though is that they are a lot of Russians who are really good in crypto, like devs and ICO projects and even Ethereum head, Vitalik is Russian.

9040  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin to soar again? on: April 24, 2018, 12:03:40 PM
The market is showing positive sign for bitcoin again. In an article published by Charlotte Davis at https://www.express.co.uk/finance/city/949891/bitcoin-price-usd-news-today-buy-dollar-cryptocurrency-latest-value-cash: BITCOIN price has seen a 27 percent increase since the start of April and one cryptocurrency expert said bitcoin is likely to continue to rally as historical data shows a continuous rise over the past eight years.

You don't need to be a rocket scientist to see that bitcoin is climbing the ladder again after a 3 month bearish trend that lead most people to believed that it is dead, let this be a lesson for everyone specially for those newbies who joined during the peak. We may experienced some downfall but it doesn't mean that we are out. Right now I'm not really surprised to see the price breaking the $9000 barrier and heading to $9500-$10000. So we are all good now I guess and the bears is out the picture because the bulls is taking over the market once again which we all have been waiting for a long time.
