you're going to ignore him over an ASCII penis?

starting to bubble up boys!
what are you seeing? looks like the same consolidation to me
|
|

(you could also reveal al transactions like MtGox - but this is just a side note) My impression was that this would greatly increase the danger of squeezes, since anyone could calculate how much money a squeeze would cost them. bingo

|
|
just to clarify, I do not use the term disparagingly
I believe there is a place in a free market for bitcoinica's services, I see no indication as yet that Z is operating counter to his client's interests...though that danger is always present
the simple fact that some orders are settled internally without any formal transactions in the underlying makes it a bucket shop under US law, which is fine with me, people are assumed to be adults and nation states and their antiquated legal structures are obsolete
it is a brave new world, all the warning labels and safety restraints have been removed, have fun, play at your own risk
|
|
|
You can also get a mighty push up. Converting back to USD is filling the MtGox coffers - but whatever. If you are so risk-averse - then why do you keep any funds at MtGox at all? It can go puff in any second like MF Global.
Ahhh, the price of liquidity
|
|
|
look at it from Z's perspective
folks are screaming to be allowed to go long on margin
and screaming for instant access to their fiat
whats he supposed to poop USD out his ass??
I do not use his service, though the show is amusing, but there is no real indication I have seen that he is a bad actor or is ripping anyone off.
You play in the bucket shop and they get low on funds? Cross your fingers and hope they do not fold up altogether.

out of sync? like late?
yeah, language fails to express my disdain
W T F, Clark Moody is beating GoxLive by several seconds OFF ITS OWN API!!!
Heh. You do know that both of those tools use websockets to pull data directly from the feed to your browser, right? It isn't the server at mtgoxlive.com that gets out of sync, it is your browser. OK fine, so what you are saying is that C/M is a more efficient display I guess my overclocked nehalem just can't keep up with GoxLive's processing needs

psssst...OP...over here <looks furtively back and forth>
you want to know where the real money in leverage is?
operating the bucket shop

you mean where you get the red and yellow messages in the bottom pane and it stops refreshing?
never noticed it was on the hour, I will watch for that
what I will say is that C/M kicks GoxLive's ass, picks it up by the back of the shirt, throws it through the plate glass window into the street and drowns it in a horse shit stinking mudpuddle.
I have them up on adjacent monitors and C/M is consistently several seconds ahead of gox ON THEIR OWN API!!!
It is a travesty
I urge users, if you don't feel like donating to this fine tool, at least click periodically on Clark Moody's advertisers, you do not have to actually look at the ads, but the clicks are counted.

I want to see some confirmation and volume
this could go either way
this is exactly the psychology that will keep you out and eventually force you to chase the rise. the shake out damages everyone's confidence and thats precisely when the market makes its move. listen to the silence here on the Spec Forum. most everyone is dead. Oh, I get that, and I respect your analysis I have no problem taking my haircut to get on the train, I tend to trade pretty close to the current price anyway, I'm just not sure it has steam up just yet. I see it break this? I'm on it like flies on dung
