9141  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do you recommend me to buy BTC? on: July 01, 2014, 08:49:48 AM
What country are you in and how do you want to pay for the coins? There's many exchanges to choose from and also many people selling coins here over on the Currency Exchange subforum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0 (just remember to use a trusted escrow).
9142  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [2x] $100 Starbucks Card for $35 - 1 Sold! on: July 01, 2014, 08:21:12 AM
How do you use these instore? Are the points transferred digitally to your account then you can send them to a card or something? Might be interested if they definitely work in the UK.
9143  Economy / Services / Re: Best escrow for bitcointalk accounts? on: July 01, 2014, 08:09:34 AM
Tomatcage is another good escrower.
A lot of people use him.

For bitcointalk accounts? I'd say they probably don't seeing as he seems to leave a lot of negative feedback for people who are buying/selling accounts.
9144  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 01, 2014, 08:07:15 AM
Why would you not just check the services subforum or the 'show new replies to your post' link at the top left instead? And there's always this overview thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0
9145  Other / Meta / Re: Can you bump other peoples post? on: July 01, 2014, 07:58:56 AM
Weird to see five other users bumping someone else's thread. I wonder if he's offering an incentive to do so since a couple of them posted their wallet addresses along with the bumps?

Edit:

9146  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: refer buddys on: July 01, 2014, 07:35:51 AM
I'll give you some advice and tell you not to waste your time with faucets even if you can get a lot of 'referrer buddies'. Find other ways to earn coins or earn fiat money by doing small jobs in the real world and then buy BTC with it. I gurantee it will be a more productive use of your time. This thread will also likely just turn into ref spam as well.
9147  Economy / Services / Re: Best escrow for bitcointalk accounts? on: July 01, 2014, 07:31:49 AM
The vast majority of escrows on accounts seem to go through escrow.ms, so I'd go with him, but I haven't personally used him before but he seems to have a good system down. The seller of the account can still recover it at anytime though, so make sure you're aware of that.
9148  Economy / Services / Re: WE PAY FOR SIGNATURE EVEN MORE. UP TO 0.0016 BTCs PER POST. WEEKLY PAYOUTS. on: June 30, 2014, 05:19:17 PM
His site won't shut down, but it's reputation will be tarnished and he won't get much business from here. They must be having some trouble in some capacity though to do this.

OP havent been online since june 5 and thats very bad for the campain Sad

Not only bad for the sig campaign, but also to his business, as the complaints are ignored for weeks (eg. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=578682.msg7269357#msg7269357).

But, OP may have planned this in the beginning and will never come back. Wink

during weekly payout he also was almost never online, so that does not mean anything, except that he's a pretty poor businessman.

but hey, if he's earning money, who cares? And if he's losing money too bad for him, he still gotta pay up. But we'll know for sure in 5 days.

He was online quite a bit initially but used to dissapear over the weekends. I'd be very surprised if he decides to pop back just to pay you guys as much as you're hoping this to be the case.
9149  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Cheap Sr. Bitcointalk Account. Escrow Accepted on: June 30, 2014, 05:12:53 PM
Can't see why it wouldn't be. As long as the address is in your profile when you submit the payment claim it should be fine.

I think Germany will comfortably beat Algeria.

it is going to be very interesting to see how Germany and France will handle the pressure.... anyway if i am right in the next round will be France-Germany? of course if they beat Algeria and Nigeria...

A surprise is possible from Nigeria that has a good attack but France will probably win; the question is who will win France-Germany?

Surprise can happen but this is WC Holland pass on fake penalty but this was yet another point of how referees done lazy job

Holland @ 5.30 to win on cloudbet; you have to really believe in them to bet on them at that price when you can bet on Germany @ 4.70 and Argentina @ 4.80; my bets would be on Argentina and Brazil

I hope you're right. From before the start of the tournament I've had a couple of bets on either Brazil and Argentina to get into the final or win, but I think Brazil will struggle with Columbia and Germany in the next round, but they have the home advantage. Argentina will probably have it the easiest to go all the way and beat Holland in the semis if they get through.
9151  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: DVD burn from Linux live on: June 30, 2014, 10:58:09 AM
No shit? Not sure if trolling, but try booting Linux from a USB instead so you free up the disk drive.

Why trolling?

Btw if it's the only solution avaiable I'll do it through usb live, thanks.

Well, you ejected the disk that Linux is running from. Would you ask why the music on a CD stopped playing if you took out the CD?

Its It's not a good idea to store wallet.dat into a DVD.

Why's that? It's as good as any other, though I wouldn't just have one back up on 1 DVD. I'd have several on several different mediums - USB etc.

9154  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: SELLING BITCOINTALK ACCOUNTS on: June 29, 2014, 11:10:03 AM
This sort of thing enables scammers, Bitcointalk needs a rule to stop this.

Also, beware of escrow.ms.

What rule would that be? Stupid people enable scammers. Use escrow and you won't get scammed. And you don't need to buy an account to scam when you can just create a new one. Should we ban the creation or new accounts as well?
9155  Other / Meta / Re: TIL Activity does not work on precisely 2 week intervals + interval timings on: June 29, 2014, 10:46:49 AM
You have to make sure you post the once in each two week period to get the full activity points. If your post count is 14 or more higher than your activity then you'll get the full 14 points just for the one post, otherwise it'll move up per post (up to 14). You can collect the full activity points at a later date though as long as you have posted once in thosr two week periods.

9156  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: June 29, 2014, 10:40:23 AM
Being a Hero member doesn't make you respected or your contributions valid at all. It just means you've been here over a year+. And nobody has a scammer tag anymore. They were all removed recently.

Will theymos ever lower the 10BTC/50BTC donator and VIP to get those tags?
Maybe 4BTC and 20BTC fairer?

It's pretty impossible for someone to achieve or pull $25,000 for a forum tag these days

He's said he won't lower them, but maybe implement lower/cheaper ranks in the future, but I don't see the point of donating just for a title. If you want to donate you still can.
9157  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Im selling some Btc and DRK coins ... and i need help (: on: June 28, 2014, 07:11:17 AM
Do not use paypal, it is very easy to chargeback money from them.

But only accept verified accounts , thats help?

Nope. Being verified doesn't mean anything really and they can still easily do a chargeback. People just say they were hacked or never recieved the item and PP issues the refund. Look over on the currency exchange here as there are a few people who deal with PP who seem to have done many previous successful trades, but they could still charegeback at any time. You'll just have to weigh up the risk and decide for yourself. Just don't deal with a newbie who has no trade history.
9158  Other / Meta / Re: what are Reputation Threads? on: June 28, 2014, 06:34:49 AM
They're pretty self-explanatory really. They're threads to promote or discuss someone's reputation here: I.e their trade history and contributions to the forum. People use them as evidence of their trustworthiness for other deals usually or just to keep a record of all their trades/dealings here.
9159  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: June 27, 2014, 11:39:08 PM
You already have the full permission as a member, unless you're referring to the time between posts and you can only get rid of that by gaining more activity.
9160  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: LK BTC MINER 1TH/S Rasberry Pi and Proxy on: June 27, 2014, 10:53:10 AM
You'd be best asking this question over in the mining subforum. You can move the thread there yourself at the bottom left of the thread.
