921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain on: July 24, 2017, 04:37:25 PM
I have been following this project for quite  a few weeks now and realize it is one of the best project in the current quarter of the year. I dont see any other project recently which is more promising and trust worthy than this Dimcoin. Great work by the Mods i must say.
Yes, I am too keenly following Dimcoin once I read their whitepaper. The concepts which are based on equity really attracts me as I am looking for such management along with blockchain efficiency for longer time. That is the reason I am too believing this project will find grand success to establish similar to other big coins in more quick time itself.
I wouldn't worry too much about an exchange, I am sure at some point DIMCOIN will be listed, I would rather we saw some good development before an exchange.

The way the team is managing and promoting the ICO is outstanding but i want to know what are the plans after the ICO. After how much time can we except this DIMcoin to be listed on good exchanges ?  I would like to see it on Poloniex and bittrex as those are the biggest exchanges for trading.
922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Other payment networks are not going to wait for Bitcoin to grow up on: July 24, 2017, 04:30:30 PM
Bitcoin I don't think needs to be worrying about missing out on anything, it will make it's own path.  There will be plenty of altcoins out there that would be more than happy to pick up the slack.
923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin split on August! on: July 24, 2017, 02:31:02 PM
We are okay for now, nothing major should really be happening for another couple of months or so, think we are out of the woods regarding a hard fork for now.
924  Economy / Economics / Re: Signature campaign as my job? on: July 24, 2017, 12:14:57 PM
It really won't replace a full time job, maybe as a hobby / side job it will help but because they are so sporadic and there is no guarantee if they will be here from one month to the next I would not suggest relying on it as a full time job.
925  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin currently massively undervalued? on: July 24, 2017, 07:48:21 AM
I think so, once we get over this year with August and November out of the way and we have bitcoin running smoothly I think we will see a big move in 2018.
926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was your INITIAL motivation to buying Bitcoin on: July 24, 2017, 06:24:42 AM
Initially it caught my attention by being on the news and the price, I had heard about it on and off but then when I saw it on the tv it pushed me to find out more about it.

Once I started looking into it I soon realised there was a whole crypto world that I was unawre of and 4 years later I am still here.
927  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Withdrawing from Coinbase to UK bank account? on: July 21, 2017, 06:42:29 PM
I think most of the card providers have had some negative feedback at some point, it's not an ideal solution but until we can do a straight GBP withdraw we'll just have to manage.  Good luck.
928  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Withdrawing from Coinbase to UK bank account? on: July 21, 2017, 04:41:50 PM
Well I hope I've been able to help in some way. I've just tried to pass on the info I've found out. It's a bit of a minefeild. Do you have any balance in your euro wallet. Maybe that's why it won't let you.

Just the 10 euro I sent in to 'validate' my bank account. Maybe I just need to wait. It says it'll be verified 1-2 days after so maybe it means 1-2 days after they received the payment (which was this morning).
I think it will take a day or two at least to verify your bank, it is a real pain because they don't tell you this when you sign up, only when you go to withdraw do you discover this.

You will then need to wait a few days once you have made the withdrawl for it to hit your bank.

Depending on how much you are talking about and how often you will be doing this a quicker method could possibly be one of the debit cards like Spectrocoin etc.
929  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: July 21, 2017, 01:56:23 PM
Starling have recently launched in the UK as a 'challenger' mobile only bank https://www.starlingbank.com/ not sure if you want to add it to the list as it is just for the UK at the moment.
930  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Moving a bitcoin from Coinbase to Bitttrex on: July 21, 2017, 09:54:23 AM
goo38, thank you for response. Three more questions:

1) Any idea as to how long the transfer from Coinbase to Bittrex might take?

2) I would like to buy other coins with this bitcoin immediately. Bittrex says that it might take up to two weeks. Has anybody experienced this?

3) I got an email today saying this:
"
The User Activated Hard Fork (UAHF) is a proposal to increase the Bitcoin block size scheduled to activate on August 1. The UAHF is incompatible with the current Bitcoin ruleset and will create a separate blockchain. Should UAHF activate on August 1, Coinbase will not support the new blockchain or its associated coin.
The User Activated Soft Fork (UASF) is a proposal to adopt Segregated Witness on the Bitcoin blockchain and could result in network instability. It is scheduled to activate at the same time as the UAHF.
"

a) Can anybody tell me how it'll affect my transfer of bitcoin from Coinbase to Bittrex?
b) How it might affect my purchase of other coins using the bitcoin on Bittrex?

I really appreciate anyone who responds.

1) You are not purchasing bitcoin in Bittrex so I don't think the 2 week timeline is relevant to you, I believe this timeframe is regarding verification of your account, you are able to deposit and trade with an unverified account, but if you want to withdraw a large amount then you will need to follow the Bittrex verification process.

For now if you are just sending your 1 BTC to Bittrex all you need is your Bittrex BTC address and you will be able to send from Coinbase to Bittrex.

It shouldn't take too long no more then a few hours max but it should get there quicker, once you send it from Coinbase after a few minutes you should be able to see a transaction Id, if you take this ID and place it in https://blockchain.info/ you will be able to see how many confirmations it has, Bittrex requires 2 confirmations for it to hit your account.

2) I think this must relate to being verified and purchasing bitcoin directly via Bittrex, you should not face any time delays in purchasing other coins once your bitcoin enters your Bittrex wallet

3)
a) if you are sending your bitcoin to Bittrex now you will not face any problems
b) purchasing of other coins will not be affected.

Hope that helps.

931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto and why does he hide in the shadows? on: July 21, 2017, 09:01:06 AM
I don't think we will ever know for sure unless Satoshi decides to reveal themselves, wouldn't it be something if it was an AI released secretly to setup a new global currency under the radar Smiley
932  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase and the Fork on: July 21, 2017, 06:49:12 AM
I am repeating on more time, according to the newest development we may safely assume here won't be an USAF on August 1st.
BIP91 is now signalled by the majority of miners (around 95%) and lock in period just begun, after ~300 block it will be activated.
I will translate - today and tomorrow is the last stop before price of bitcoin will reach new ATH.
Yep it'll take about two and a half days and then any fear of any split is over even though there was only ever a slight chance of it happening in the firat place.
933  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10 days left, what will you do during this period? on: July 20, 2017, 04:33:59 PM
Just sit back and enjoy the show, whatever happens it will be a milestone in the history of bitcoin, let's just hope it isn't a tombstone in the history of bitcoin.
934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Bitcoin on BBC News Front Page on: July 20, 2017, 04:30:33 PM
Can't see anything about bitcoin there unless you are talking about the Alphabay shutdown, if this is the story then it isn't that great of a thing as it's just more association with the bad elements of what bitcoin can be used for, maybe they moved the story?
935  Economy / Services / Re: Grow your 0.1 Btc to 0.3 Btc in one month on: July 20, 2017, 02:16:31 PM
Sounds like a BS thing to me, all newbies claiming they have got to level 1 / 2.

As always things like this if they sound to good to be true then they are too good to be true.  You will be better off putting your 0.1 into an altcoin, if things like this are so profitable then why in the world would anybody want to share it with other people for 0.01 when they can make much more.
936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ethereum $110 million hack; Will we see another rollback and ETC.2? on: July 20, 2017, 10:17:01 AM
I initially thought the price would drop but then it wasn't ETH it was Parity, it's a shame but things like this will continue to happen as more and more is built on ETH, not everyone can be 100% all the time but when you are dealing with finance and people's funds it is essential that things are secure as possible and it seems in this case a silly mistake was made which has cost people a lot of money.

I seriously doubt there will be a roll back this time around.
937  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Ex-Husband- Dicorce-Bitcoin on: July 20, 2017, 10:12:21 AM
Why not use some of your 10 bitcoins to keep you going until you can find a job and get yourself back on your feet, like you said they are worth in excess of €10k I don't see any reason for you to be struggling when you have access to these funds.
938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins Under $10 Investing Question on: July 20, 2017, 09:28:46 AM
There are so many coins that are under $1 or even 10 cents and you could by a million of some coins for $10 but there is no guarantee that these coins will increase in price and if they do it could be only a small rise, there might also be a huge rise.

It is all a risk but if you do have the money to spare it can't hurt to buy some of these coins after looking into them but not just because they are cheap but because you see some type of future in them otherwise you are just throwing your money away.
939  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Making a living from signature campaigns, is it possible? on: July 20, 2017, 08:15:44 AM
I would say no, it really isn't a way to live your daily life.  It should be seen really as getting paid for something that you would normally do anyway, unless there is an amazing campaign that pays 1BTC per month you won't be able to live off of a signature campaign.
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LakeBanker | Free Banking for the World on: July 20, 2017, 07:16:13 AM
I like the idea of Crowdbanking, Peer to Peer lending is already quite huge and this makes sense as something Crypto could do really well in.

My only problem is the fact that the ICO is restricted to just ETH, if it were open to accepting BTC it might be something that I would be interested in, is there a possibility to offer BTC as a method also?

Edit:  Apologies, I see that BTC is accepted also, I was just looking at the conversion part where it showed Phase 1 - Fixed Price Sale   1 ETH = ? BAC
