Does anyone trust BTC here?? I see lots of people panicking most of the time even when there is a small dump on the price of BTC. I can agree that people are unsure about Segwit right now and selling. Some of the altcoins are recovering right now and hopefully, we will see some upwards fashion now in the market.
Personal i think panic sell gives always loses. But i do understand why people do that. There are lots of reasons why people buy or sell alts. There are daytraders looking for fast profit and long-term supporters. Long-term currencies with active team & community and new developments & improvements will have a good future. BTC will also stay number 1 for a long long time and value will grow more. |

Hi Magicians! I just grabbed myself a couple thousand of these to stake, and was wondering if I'm doing this right. I used the stake thresholds from the website, rather than what was in the default config file. So I have... stakesplitthreshold=1000
stakecombinethreshold=500
... and I've split the coins into 1000 per address (the site said to split over addresses, so I just did that rather than re-blocking on one address) The weight is now slowly increasing minute by minute, which I guess is how mPoS is supposed to work. Seeing a price of 0.13703499 USD / XMG right now. Would presume a good time to buy?
There is more demand then supply on the 25% order book range - so I would say that there is a likelihood that the price will increase a little in the short term (unless somebody is planning on dropping the price) - however there is not much supply available up to 6k satoshi - so you may not be able to buy much at the current price. Get in there whilst you can. update: looking at the dynamics today I think there is a possibility that the price may drop a little further - but not guaranteed by any means. if you want to be speculative put in a lower buy - but don't expect it to be filled. A good approach may be to buy 50% at current price and 50% at a lower price, that way you wont miss out on the current price but still stand to gain if the price drops further... Its always hard to say what the price will do. Noticed that more currencies are recovering from past weekend.  |

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to mine XMG on a mobile device. Like when charging overnight for example.
Also I have mined some coins and bought some via Bittrex. When I open the wallet app it states that I'm 'staking' and a reward is expected within 2 days or something like that. But I can't have the wallet open all the time. Is there a CLI tool that I can run on a server to stake?

i like the new site its very responsive and have nice layout, new site have great potential great work Joe i tried to contact historical few weeks ago about multipool but no response i don't think he is active on bct anymore. Can i ask you a question what do you think about masternodes would they be beneficial for magi in future or some sort of anon payment and could that be implemented in magi coding or you don't want to go that road ? Tnx I had a contact with Historical some time ago about the hash.com pool and was able to get response from him. I'll see if I can reach him again. Yes, I think anonymity is the option we should go which is on the roadmap now. Masternodes are not fully anonymous solutions, and I don't like the fact that a non-trivial amount of coins are required for being a node. There are some features of Masternodes which seems actually better than the anonymity itself, but I guess this won't be our direction anyways. I vote for something better, and any future implementations won't require hard rules that prevent general users from participation. Magi team congrats with the new website! Well done. |

Whats a multipool? Is it something similar to merged mining? Price has been all over the place on Yobit today - high of 19000 and low of 4600 Yes indeed. Looks like they are trying to get XMG value lower with small sells on Bittrex. Hmmm ... That's fine with me - I'm happy which ever Magi goes - if it drops then its a great opportunity to buy more =D Thats right. More people feel the same. Not yet i think. Thought Spexx miner is still the best one. But not sure about that
I am long time Magi collector if i sell now i will get decent profit, but i wont 1xmg=1$ is near future, for now i have enough Magi i dont need to trade or mine. I wish Magi to spread evenly i have some serious hash i could mine even now 100 Magis per day with free electricity and gear at work but i wont. Magi needs bigger army of small holders to go where it belongs. Sounds great. Magi reaching $1 could be anytime soon, making a constant stream of profits to those who have invested earlier into it. I'm willing to put most of my devices to mine Magi too, although the bigger the network hashrate is, the lower the reward will be. Nevertheless, Magi is a very exciting cryptocurreny to buy, mine, and hold. With its growing community, and active development, together we could make Magi one of the best altcoins in the market. Imagine how far Magi could go in the next years from becoming more valuable, to having better features, and so on. One thing that I'm looking forward to is for Magi to adopt SegWit as it will greatly increase its transaction capacity. Perhaps, it may not be neccesary at the moment, but it would give Magi a boost. You sold GRS? Why good price or not active anymore?
I thought GRS price (7500 sat) and UNO price (0.015) were good enough. I am now all in XMG, but maybe I buy back a few GRS or UNO, when they are low again. (I have a few other coins still, for example 300 million SLOTH coin) Cool good to hear you are all into Magi. |
