921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your destiny is in your hands on: January 12, 2019, 08:22:26 PM
Our destiny is not written on an imaginary surface and not in wind. What we are today in the crypto space is as a result of the works of our hands.
- Whenever you want to invest or promote a project, do not be in haste, but take your time to analyze it.
- If you want to sell the coin you have, do ensure you think about it many times, so that you will not later blame yourself for selling.
- Get materials to study whatever you do not know.
Nobody can make a better decision for you than yourself. So learn to do the right thing at the right time.

I think I've just read some kind of a crypto preaching Smiley
...And let the Crypto God light always shine upon thee..."
Lol, whom are you talking to? People will always trade with emotions and the ones who won't, they would never read this Smiley
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is CMC still safe at all ?? on: January 11, 2019, 11:06:58 PM
I’m starting to worry about coinmarketcap lately, after series of deceit and spammish activity
The following are my observed reasons

1. Many dead projects still on cmc

2. Market cap is fake Cox many projects which have seized to trade adds up to the market cap

3. Cmc doesn't verify authenticity of projects before listing it

4. CMC now have ads of fake icos on their website thereby leading people to scammers

Funny enough so many NOOBS believe anything and everything dey see on cmc to be authentic

Let me stop here and anyone against it should bring a proof to counter it
Or offer more options

Don't quite understand why you are thinking about coinmarketcap like something very trustworthy and like some resource where only filtered projects appear.
It's just a monitoring where you can find and track coins that are popular enough to be noticed.
923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the crypto still be in 2050? on: January 11, 2019, 11:00:42 PM
Well, if you look back and remember how the world looked like 30 years ago I think you will be surprised Smiley
And now imagine how it will look like in 30 years... You should understand that the speed of changes and technology advancing is increasing exponentially. I doubt that we will have computers in the way they are working now Smiley
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins to Trade Vs To Hold? on: January 10, 2019, 06:07:27 PM
So many people mention that holding coins is more profitable than trading.  If you trade, then its possible for you to make consistent income if you buy it low and sell at high.  But if you hold, then you don't make any money until you sell which could be a very long time.

The thing is aren't there coins that are more profitable to trade than hold and vice versa?  For example, i believe bitcoin is a coin to hold and not trade.  Because in the long run, if it keeps going up, you will profit.  If you keep buying when it dips then sell when it goes up, you make money but it seems a bit more work than holding it.  Do people agree or disagree?  The thing is people predict it will only go up.  So if it only go up, wouldn't that mean holding makes the most sense?  Now let say you buy it at a dip and then sell it when it goes back to the price after the dip.  Yes you make money but probably not that much because you need a lot of money to trade bitcoin if you want to make decent money.

But with altcoins... isn't buying it at dips and selling when it goes back probably a very good idea?  For example let say there is a coin that is 5 dollars or so.  You dont see this coin going up high in the future where it could go up like BTC or ETH.  You think the coin will stay around this price but maybe go max 15 dollars and just doesn't see it going 50 or more etc.  If thats the case, wouldn't these type of coins be the perfect coins to trade assuming these coin prices keep going between say 3 dollars and 12 dollars?  Because many times you notice many altcoins would go to 3 dollars then go back up to 6 dollars.  If you keep repeating it, wouldn't that be profitable as long as you don't sell for a loss?  The thing is what about altcoins that you think in the future could go up like ETH prices.  If thats the case, wouldn't those coins be great coins to hold?  Now if you buy these coins at dips and then sell them when it goes back up, yes you make money.  However imagine you bought 1000 coins of a coin at 3 dollars when it dip.  Then it goes back to 5.50.  Then you make a 2500 dollars or so etc.  Now let say it dips and goes back up many times and every time you do this you make 2k or so.  Thats great right?  However my thinking is if you think this coin could go up to 50 or 100 dollars, wouldn't trading it be bad idea because you could have bought 1000 shares and sold it many times where if you kept all those shares you make more money and less work etc?

However i feel like trading could make you consistent money.  Holding... you dont make money until you sell for a profit.  Do people agree/disagree with this?  I believe the coins that you should hold for profit would be BTC and maybe ETH.  However, wouldn't majority of altcoins probably be best for trading if u dont see that coin ever hitting that high of a price.  Like the coin would hit max 10 dollars.  But most of the time be between 2-7 dollars etc?  Thus buy these coins when there is a huge dip...... then hold until it goes back up to possibly close to double the price or even 50 percent of the price and then sell for profit?  Because if u dont sell when price falls after you buy, you dont lose money.

However to those people that trade altcoins especially when buying it in dips, how long typically do you hold these coins to before selling it and locking in a profit?  Like if a coin drops from 3 dollars to 2 dollars in a huge dip.  If you buy it at 2 dollars, if it goes to 2.50 in a few days, do you just sell it?  Do you just sell it if it goes to 2.50 in the same day and cash in the profit?  Im curious how many trades a trade does a month on average to make any decent money.  If i had to take a guess, someone probably would need to buy at least 2-3 altcoins and buy a lot of shares like 1000+ minimum each time to lock in a profit when it price goes up right?  Of course you could buy a coin and it drops down and it takes weeks or even longer to go back up.  So how long do you traders hold before you sell it since you are daytrading?

It seems simple to buy coins at huge dips and then sell them when prices go back.  So wouldn't it make sense certain coins are great for trading.  But certain coins are horrible for trading?  I don't really think there are many great coins to hold besides btc and ETH etc.  Does anyone here agree/disagree with this?  It seems like those altcoins that cost 25 dollars and less seem to be great options to buy during huge dips... then sell it once prices go back up but issue is you dont know how long it would take.  However, when was the last time a top 50 coin fell all the way down to almost nothing.  Does anyone know?  It seems like any coin in the top 25 that isn't btc or eth would be great to buy during dips right?  And it seems like during dips, doesn't it seem you could buy any altcoin in the top 25 since when btc goes up, all other altcoins seem to follow?  And when btc goes down, all altcoins seem to follow?  My thinking is during dips, it doesn't seem to really matter that much which altcoin you buy because when btc goes up, almost every altcoin does the same etc.

Does anyone here say certain coins are great to daytrade since they keep going from one price range to another price range but never gets higher than that?  Like if a coin drops to 2 dollars, then it almost always seem to go back to 3 dollars.  Thoughts on this?

I would say that you should hold coins with potential like ETH, ADA, NEO, EOS, QKC, IOTA and some others... And trade on coins like LTC, DOGE, XRP - look at their graphs, they are pumped and dumped periodically. There are many opportunities to trade here when you see the whole picture.
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The dump has started for 2019 on: January 10, 2019, 06:03:10 PM
Today is a very sad day for me ... just when I was thinking the crypto space is on its way to its formal glory ... here we are again... the market is red and over 15 percent down...

How do we free crypto from the hands of whales.. manipulating the market??

How? There is only one way to become free here - to become a whale Smiley
One should understand that if you are not creating your own game, you are playing somebody's others one. That's an obvious rule one should always remember.
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Less price = more profit? on: January 09, 2019, 06:57:15 PM
Friends, does it make sense to take very cheap altcoins <$ 1? I think about buying, but I am interested in your opinion. Will they leave the market and exchanges, with such a strong fall?

Watch the capitalisation, not just price. If some coins have low capitalisation and you think that these projects are worthy and having a good potential to grow, then probably they can truly make you rich in a year or two Smiley
927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any bounty rewards after August 2018 ? on: January 08, 2019, 07:41:08 PM
Hi,

I have been doing alot of bounties but getting no rewarding coins. The coins/token that i have received are all just in the wallet and not on any exchange and alot of my participated bounties have just disappeared. So i was wondering has anyone received any bounty rewards that they have exchanged for bitcoin since August of 2018 ?

The last token that i was able to cash out were in August of 2018, What about the rest of the bounty hunters ?

Bounty activities are slowing down since last Summer, that's true... But there are some coins that let you earn, the situation is worse than one year ago, but not completely desperate Smiley You should check different DEXs more often, that's my advice.
928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still support Ethereum, if Vitalik left it? on: January 08, 2019, 07:32:24 PM
The recent news about Vitalik Buterin considering to leave ETH for Google made me think about the potential aftermath of such situation. Of course, no one takes it seriously now, and neither do I. But what if something like this could really happen? Of course, we can be safe that it will not happen right now, and all of us understand it. But what if one day he really left the team of Ethereum, then would you personally continue supporting this coin? Or you think that ETH will just die without its creator?

Don't think Ethereum project would be still as powerful and famous in case Vitalik's gone. It's based mainly on his personality and obviously such a loss will cause a dramatic popularity decrease. Nobody will show his photo to friends, talk about young genius phenomenon and laugh at some funny gifs with him Smiley
929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2019 on: January 07, 2019, 10:19:16 AM
Over time and technological advances in the digital era, many people have been very interested in investing some of their money in the world of cryptocurrency such as Ethereum / (Altcoins). What are your plans for next year, and will you participate in the ICO?
Thank you.

Don't think I will invest anywhere until the next bull run comes. And I think most of the people connected to crypto somehow feels the same. First the market must convince the crowd that it has a great future Smiley
930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do if you are deceived? on: January 07, 2019, 09:45:56 AM
I think that this is becoming more and more common lately, so what can we do to ensure that responsible people can be punished?

I think the easiest thing to do is to contact the developers before investing or before you decide to participate in the bounty of this project. You need to contact directly by phone, if it is specified or it is best to go and look at the address indicated on the website, is there really such a company. If this is not possible, but create a theme and ask people to find out if there is such an organization or people.

In general, by any means to identify the identity of these people. As soon as we can add personal identification, these people will not be able to just fool us. Because you can write to them in the police under the article fraud.

The most important thing is that today there is everything necessary in order to really find and punish the people who are deceiving us. I think it's time for us to start doing it, otherwise the ICO may die.

If you have any other suggestions, I will be glad to hear them.

Those projects whose team are fair and trustworthy enough usually show some proofs. For example by linking their team members social media accounts and by passing KYC on icobench. Usually in this case project won't deceive people.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the governments ban all privacy cryptocurrencies ? on: January 07, 2019, 09:31:08 AM
I'm considering to buy and hold some privacy coins for long term. I read some articles and they said governments are taking harsh stances on privacy coins. Do you think they will ban all privacy cryptocurrencies by prohibiting exchanges to list those coins?

Don't think this will happen. Not now at least. And you should remember about decentralised exchanges also. I don't think they care what governments think Smiley
People are trading p2p with whatever they want.
932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All the bounty tokens can be sold? on: January 06, 2019, 04:19:42 PM
Well, let's say - 90% are scam. If you are very smart and experienced and take part only in good, filtered projects, this number decreases. Let's assume 70% of your projects are good enough and their team are working properly... Then I think - around a half of these projects will care about listings. So, the total percentage would be around 30%-40%. These are the projects who care, I mean.
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will NEO become strong? on: January 06, 2019, 04:09:24 PM
Hope NEO will rise again soon. This project has a huge potential I think and it's just a matter of time when we will see moon here Smiley
Also I can add that scheme with GAS mining is good for NEO price. Tokens with passive income usually have a capability to grow.
934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Blockchain beat VISA someday? on: January 06, 2019, 03:57:31 PM
Given how difficult it has been for Blockchain technology to scale since Bitcoin's inception back in 2009, it makes me wonder whenever Blockchain could beat VISA someday?

The potential is there for Blockchain to scale to many users. However, some crypto projects have sacrificed decentralization in exchange for high transaction throughput and low fees. Which is why, it cannot be possible to achieve decentralization while obtaining high scalability.

Nonetheless, do you think that it's possible for Blockchain tech to surpass traditional payment processors like VISA? Smiley

I think this will happen in the nearest two years. And maybe VISA will make this happen, by the way. If it will invest in this technology and integrate it in its transactions system.
935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: predictions of 2019 on: January 05, 2019, 05:13:22 PM

12. Some good news suddenly appear in late Spring or Summer and the new great rally begins.

13. Blockchain is losing its anonymity and decentralisation step by step. Governments and corporations are helping this process.

15. We are reaching moon finally Smiley
936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am just Dumping all my altcoins! on: January 05, 2019, 05:05:23 PM
Well I have no more patience in holding it so I decided to dump all the altcoins listed in an exchange in a low price. I have been accepting already that I loss already in investing those altcoins. Because we are now in the peak season of the year 2018 and cryptocurrency market seem nothing to have gone good and I have also some needs to meet for the holidays so I sold all the altcoins. I will just check later on if cryptocurrency will going to be back at its normal market.

Bet this was very painful decision, huh? Smiley
One of the best lessons that we learn from this bear market is that one should always fix some profit and create a financial cushion to be able to survive and not to starve while waiting for the next bullish wave...
937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy on rumour and sell on news. on: January 05, 2019, 04:54:34 PM
There is a rumour about hard  fork of ETH and the volume in the trading of ETH is aggressively growing .Prices are showing strength .Is it an  opportunity to buy on rumour and sell on the news to book profit.

Hardforks are always a good reason to buy something, because people are thinking about this event like about something very serious and promising... so it really becomes such a good thing for those who manage to ride this pump wave and earn, without having any foolish beliefs.
938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here's what you gonna do if 2019 is not the bull run year on: January 05, 2019, 04:50:22 PM
Hello guys!

Look I know how bad it is for us to see the entire crypto market. I even myself was concerned about my future if I just keep relying on crypto trading, bounty hunting, etc. I understand how you guys feel, because I feel the same way too. I had a gut feeling that crypto may not fully recover next year. This is why I want to share something for you guys to have a heads up just in case 2019 isn't what you are really expecting.

1 - Save a portion of your day/night job income and make it a habit

This is probably one of the hardest things to do when you're making a living with your day or night job. The first thing to do for yourself is learn how to PIF (Pay It Forward). Every time you receive a paycheck, start committing to yourself that you should reserve that specific amount to your piggy bank or so and never touch it until the time is right. Maybe you can use it for emergency funds, starting a venture, etc. Once you do that by disciplining yourself in this habit, there's no doubt that you'll be on your way to success.

Although there is nothing wrong if you just stick to your day or night job, but it's not an ideal way to become time and financially free. You can't simply just put all your eggs in one basket you know? Learn how to diversify by involving yourself to multiple income streams.

2 - Invest in a profitable venture and increase your cash flow

I admit that last year was our year. It's our breakthrough! However, this year had gone the other way around in which the bears are winning. I did #HODL some tokens, but I was also asking "What am I gonna do with my money sitting in my wallet or bank for a very long time?".

The goal was to potentially secure our future. I usually don't treat crypto as a full-time income source. Definitely not! They're just a fuel for us to be provided with additional needs and wants. Even though crypto could potentially "moon" when the time is right, increasing our cash flow was the right thing to do.

To do that, start investing in a profitable venture. I usually don't recommend investing in insurance though. They're not ideal for me. I usually invest in urban hog raising, which is agri-related and it isn't gonna saturate due to the demand of pork. Investing in BPOs, construction businesses, etc., as capitalist would also be other good options. Starting a traditional business isn't my forte. I don't want to stress out my first few years in doing hands-on. Leveraging is the key. Let the money work for you.

But hey, don't quit your full-time day/night job until your passive income coming from your ventures are bigger than that.

3 - Learn to live broke temporarily by cutting off your expenses

We all know that bills cannot be avoided. Yes, and all of us are feeling the same thing. However, if we want to survive, we should learn first how to live broke temporarily. You don't need to buy expensive shoes, clothes, TV or so if you're still struggling in your life. What matters is that you can still use them, right? There's nothing wrong if people see you wear same kind of old shirts, uniforms, pants and shoes too often. You don't need to go to Starbucks or any other expensive coffee or restaurants out there if your income is so limited. We can still purchase sachets of coffee at affordable prices.

As long you're not yet financially stable and your expenses are bigger than your income, it's not ideal for us to keep spending on some things that aren't important in our daily lives. You can only do that by learning how to get out of the rat race, in which your income is bigger than your expenses.

I am not an expert, but these tips are surely helpful based on my personal experience. They're gonna be difficult from the start, but if you keep going, everything will run smoothly.

"The single biggest difference between financial success and financial failure is how well you manage your money. It's simple: to master money, you must manage money." - T. Harv Eker

Well, these are the basic recommendations for beginning investors. Unfortunately everybody remind them only in case of trouble or longterm bear trend Smiley
Hope the present situation won't last too long and we will see some positive changes in Spring...
939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you buy not top 100 alts? on: January 04, 2019, 10:07:01 PM
Hey guys, do you buy altcoins which are not top 100 of Coinmarketcap? Isn’t it risky to invest in them? Want to hear your opinion!

You should understand that all these coins from top-100 on coinmarketcap were not there some time ago Smiley
I don't look at coinmarketcap at all sometimes - just watch the project I found interesting and make a decision.
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What choices will you take now ? on: January 04, 2019, 10:03:14 PM
What do you do with your junk coins? almost all new Altcoin don't have good prices to make a profit.
Will there be a rule about a good project that doesn't produce junk coins? Disappointing. Undecided

Whole market is dumped now, what do you expect here... Not only shitcoins, but many very strong projects are digging down without any visible reasons. We should wait and hope that all these good projects won't die before the bull run.
