What driver versions? Did you try older drivers? 12.1 is the most stable for me.

What I've done: -Fresh install, windows 8 or 7, problem persistent -Mobo Bios Up to date -Call of Duty Black Ops freezes at the same time, the same way always -Drivers from AMD website -Freezes only when crossfire is enabled -Cards mixed and matched, any way I put them in xfire, it crashes like in the video What I know: -Hard drive/SSD drive is not an issue -Heating is not an issue (Cold room, computer watercooled with 520 RAD) |

I just took off the xfire cables and my computer works perfect, so basically, my computer works without xfire enabled.

I haven't used this chip you're talking about. Considering though a GPU like 5750 hashes for about 170MH/s and the APU of AMD A8-3850 (which is 6550) does a 65MH/s, I seriously doubt this Intel chip can go up to 100MH/s. Waiting for XX55XX to post real life results from his new laptop  I have a desktop with a 3770k as I said before. Isn't it not possible at the moment to run an OpenCL miner with the HD4000 gfx? Nothing comes up in guiminer. |

My refurbished 5970's from diamond were horrible. I literally have never had one that I could mine with. They had too much thermal paste, melted plastic, bent heatsinks. I would stay away from these. Just go with a 7970.

It probably will have a dvi to hdmi converter like the 5970s. I like that it can be a single slot card! Also, it's a 7990 not 7970 :p

On a note with gaming, a 5770 was able to handle MW2, and Black Ops on all high settings except for AA off (I never play with AA, it presents a mouse lag). Take note that this with a AMD 965 and 3840x1024 resolution: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tqd1q1JPHyQSo anything a 5770 or higher is enough for gaming, unless you really want to get every frame of every second possible. I honestly don't notice a difference between the 5770, 5870, 5970, or currently CF 7970's in regards to fps and image quality on the latest games. |
