The bitcoin market was built by the public buying/selling. When it's much harder to buy/sell bitcoins, people will dump their coins and switch to a better technology which they can trade freely. There's no point wasting so much time to trade a coin that you can't trade (buy/sell) right away. It would require so much effort to buy it since you have to do meetups. And since buying/selling of bitcoins is hard, then the market where you can use bitcoin as well is hard to find. Everything about bitcoin will be hard to do so switching to a better technology will be a much better option.
