921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best cheapie altcoins while BTC is high on: August 15, 2017, 09:37:28 AM
What are some of the cheap altcoins that may be something big in future?

Since everything is pretty much down right now might get in on some.

So far I'm in Ripple and Sia.

Don't dump those two since it still got potential. Check out other top coins that are dumping at the moment, there is a chance to profit in them after btc rally stops. Also I recommend waves, stratis and encryptotel they are quite underpriced now in my opinion. Also there is a good chance in ltc, it got quite stable for some time now and I think it is still underpriced at the moment.
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your heaviest bags? on: August 14, 2017, 11:58:59 AM
What are the heaviest bags that you are holding and for how long have you been holding?

I got some really dumb cryptos in my pocket. Most of these are coins that I mined back then I was testing mining software and getting my first mined coins. I got lucky with Dogecoin and sold for 0.5 BTC, that was a steal.

I got MYR, DGB, Catcoin, QRK, Fluttercoin, Fantomcoin, RPC, NET... fuck, I got so many coins, and it's a couple bucks worth. Im just holding and looking for the typical random pump to dump.

Again these coins are just mined, so they are not really dumb investments, if you dont count mining them as dumb..

I did bought MazaCoin back then tho, I was a noob lol. I lost them on Cryptsy anyway.
I'm holding many shitcoins like you OP but the only difference is that I got them from yobit free coins give away and just have accumulated through time. I have been bagholding pwr for a year now or more and the same goes for the other shitcoins I have since I stopped using yobit for a year now. The heaviest bag I got right now though is still not an altcoin but it is in it's ICO phase and I'm hoping ICO would be a success.
923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Get BCH free on: August 14, 2017, 10:23:53 AM
Is this real?  i got email from admin bitcoin.co.id  we will get Bitcoin Cash for FREE. The amount BCH you get is equal to your Bitcoin balance at the time the split occurs (01 August 2017, 19:20 GMT+7).

Would you buy bitcoin to get BCH guys? .. share your opinion guys
That is real if they accept bitcoin cash and distributes it on their users. In fact, many have dumped already their bitcoin cash including me but I haven't dumped all. I believe bcc would be a great coin to store value when bitcoin price is going down that's why I will keep it. I won't need to buy more bitcoin to get bch now because I already have a good enough balance on my wallet before fork.
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum eventually become an internet money? on: August 14, 2017, 09:44:21 AM
What do you think? Will Ethereum will, inevitably, eventually become the internet money?
Ethereum will never become the internet money after all, the purpose for it's creation is different. Ethereum was created for the sole purpose of running smart contracts for tokens. It is never intended by the owners for it to be used to pay online and because of this reason it will never become one. Even if there are many supporters of eth, it still won't happen unless a token running it will be used for that purpose.
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What exchange platform do you use? on: August 13, 2017, 08:18:52 PM
I've been using coinbase and cex.io recently. They have too much of a fee in my opinion. Anyone use gdax, or what does everyone use?
There are many exchanges out there. Personally I use these 3 exchanges, Bittrex, Poloniex, and c-cex.io and fees are not much here in my opinion. They are much easier to use when it comes to buying altcoins but it would be hard if your money is from fiat so just bear with coinbase for buying bitcoin from fiat. I have never used gdax, the one you mentioned so I can't suggest it.
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your thoughts on NEO (Antshares)? on: August 12, 2017, 12:08:24 PM
The Altcoin is seen as "Chinese Ethereum". It rose from $7 few weeks ago to $31 today.  Why are people excited.?
The pump looks manipulated and Chinese likes to pump coins so maybe they are trying to manipulate it's price. It has a potential to grow in the next coming months but for now, stay away from buying this coin it is too risky to buy now if it really is manipulated. There is a high chance of it dumping if it is manipulated. If it is not, then there is still a potential profit in it.
927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't regret take action now! on: August 12, 2017, 11:26:28 AM
Changes are still very high in cryptocurrency! With the right attitude and creativity you can still become a millonair! But you have to grab your changes now because regulation will make it more difficult!
You are right but even if regulation will be implemented soon, don't think that it will make earning money here in crypto more difficult. There are a lot of coins out there that can be used to bypass regulations and also being a millionaire on crypto depends on the coin one will invest into so don't just take action, research, invest, and hold long term before selling.
928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ripple still viable? on: August 12, 2017, 10:17:30 AM
Hi,

If I understand it correctly Ripple proposition is to tackle the issue with large scale transaction volumes.
Now when Bitcoin themselves are looking into theses issues - > that this suggest that Ripple might loose its edge?

JH

Even if bitcoin scaled OP, I think ripple would still have a value of its own. Now that bitcoin is scaled, transaction speed is just right in my opinion but not fast. Many people likes faster transactions and that is where ripple will come in to use. Therefore ripple can still be viable in the future who knows maybe it will be the next coin to have a huge pump.
929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are DeepOnion Scam ? on: August 11, 2017, 11:06:22 PM
It seems everyone on the thread are just coming for OP hard with only one person actually giving a little analysis as to why he thinks its not scam and earning from it. Aside that, every other person just do their job which is good at fighting and  believing in whatever you are representing.
But honestly the OP didn't give any reasons for his claims ,  and like the other guy above mentioned  he got payed around 12 $ per post , so where is the scam in this ?
Personally I dont see deeponion as a scam coin and I believe that it has a future. After all, they just airdropped their coins which is pretty unusual for those who would like to scam others. Also, it is a project made to support the TOR network and there is a low chance of it being a scam coin. EIther way, it will go up a lot in price next year or maybe sooner, so I guess its better to own some of it now.
930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Storjcoin X vs Siacoin on: August 11, 2017, 09:57:39 PM
www.sia.tech

www.storj.io

Well these two currencies has kind of the same projet which is a decentralized blockchain-based cloud storage.

Siacon has a higher market cap than Storj. They both propose the cheapest, the fastest and the most secure cloud storage service.

I think it is worth following, it might evolve into something big.

How do you guys feel about it ?
I feel that these two are both good coins but storj is better planned than sia. For now I can say that Sia is better than storj even if it is better planned because of supply and it is more stable but I cant say that sia is better if storj began to improve their tech to  match their competitors. Either way these two both have a potential to evolve into something big so it is no big deal which is better.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where can we trade Waves Tokens? on: August 11, 2017, 11:04:43 AM
Is there any place to trade Waves tokens with other people?   We could start a thread here.

You can trade waves specifically on wavesdex exchange and to other exchanges that have waves listed such as tidex but the best one to use in terms of  trading waves in my opinion is bittrex. Therefore you dont need to create a thread about this because you, yourself can specifically search where waves can be traded via google or here in bitcointalk. Better yet look it up on coinmarketcap, it will show you a list of exchanges sites.
932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ShadowToken for the highly rated Shadow Era TCG on: August 11, 2017, 10:13:23 AM
Thanks to everyone who participated in the signature campaign, and to Sylon for running another great campaign! The bounties have been paid out.

What exchanges would you like to see SHDW traded on now? Let us know!

I just bought some of shadowtoken right now because it is for sale, thanks for those who dump their bounty now and I want to see it being traded at cryptopia, bittrex, and c-cex. The question is how long before this token will be listed on better exchanges than waves dex? Waves dex got low volume in terms of daily trading so I cant wait for this to be listed on another exchange.
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MONKEY CAPITAL???? on: August 10, 2017, 09:07:41 PM
www.coinspeaker.com/2017/08/08/waves-washed-giant-tsunami-upstart-ico

Daniel (the Monkey head) is accusing Waves of effing his ICO, and from what I understand they want to change the platform.

Ok, thanks for the info I'll check this article out when I get a minute much appreciated.
What he claims here is irrelevant and is probably a lie. To know more what I am saying, join waves telegram channel, search for Daniel's name, and you will see a lot of evidence that Daniel, the writer of that article is talking shit. For now, I will conclude that monkey capital scammed people and ran with 5000 BTC, causing many people to lose money over their ICO and they are blaming waves for it. Too bad for those who invested big on their ICO.
934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about Opus? on: August 10, 2017, 10:59:44 AM
I'm pretty new to Crypto, but this looks like it's got great potential.  Huh

https://opus-foundation.org/
What is the different with voise project, it looks similar but too many project similar with the opus project. There is no a lot of interest by those to investing on there. You can try to see the previous history in crypto about opus basic innovation idea. It seems to be bad.
Opus and other projects are different to each other and OPUS' idea is unique. It is different because calling Voise a decentralized music sharing platform is completely wrong; They store everything on their central servers which is not decentralized at all. Also voise, Is simply a coin that can only be used on their website. To know more about OPUS and it's difference on other projects, join OPUS slack.
935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Stratis the most technologically advanced blockchain platform on: August 10, 2017, 09:56:32 AM
Read this article today http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5952d3cbe4b0f078efd985b0
Interested to know other people's thoughts on which coin you think is most advanced technologically speaking ,I'd like  to hear responses regarding their platforms not things like because their from a certain country or because they have a big social media following !
I agree with the article that stratis is one of the most advanced blockchain technology out there, but there is one that is on par with stratis. The one thing that is on par with it IMO is waves. It advocates itself as a blockchain platform which intends to be a decentralized place for crowd funding and trading via wavesdex, their built in wallet exchange and like stratis, one can create custom tokens here without needing to create one from scratch and there are some successful ICO's that have been launched using waves tech like encryptotel, incent and mobile go.
936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do I pay taxes when I sell an alt coin for bitcoin? on: August 09, 2017, 01:14:48 PM
Do I need to pay taxes if I sell an alt coin for bitcoin then rebuy a different alt coin. I never took out actual USD so I am unsure how that would work. Or am I only taxes on actual USD made when I cash out?
To be particular, no one needs to pay taxes on government when they are buying, selling and rebuying. All one needs to pay is the exchange fee that they automatically deduct whenever one initiates a transaction. Trading is taxable only when one is withdrawing profits. Even if it seems one isnt required paying tax for conversion of fiat, they still pay for tax via the service that they will use to get the fiat although it is lesser than the required.
937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where to buy BCC Now? on: August 09, 2017, 10:58:10 AM
I'm a US resident, have an account on coinbase, unfortunately they aren't offering any BCC until 2018.
Where can I buy BCC exchange. Can't seem to find any US based exchange offering BCC at this time.
I'm not a high roller, but want to buy a couple. Who knows the future. It's just fun for me.
Any help will be highly appreciated
If I were you. I would follow other's suggestions since they suggested easy ways to buy bcc on other exchanges that arent US based. If you just want to invest a little, then why not buy btc on coinbase first instead of bcc straight? That way you can have many options to trade your btc to bcc. If you already have some altcoins, just convert them to bitcoin then buy bcc or use shapeshift.io, just like what others recommended.
938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting new ICO's? on: August 09, 2017, 10:06:46 AM
I think your signature is great, Decentralized VPN  Wink
Yeah his altcoin signature is quite great. It is kinda unique for someone to propose a decentralized vpn, because the ones most of us are using now are decentralized ones. The only question is what will be better in terms of speed the centralized one or the decentralized? We will find out soon enough though after the ICO. Also, I think OPUS is a good ICO too they offer a decentralized music streaming platform. For more info about OPUS, just click my signature.
939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the other crypto currencies that exist? on: August 08, 2017, 09:50:11 PM
Believing it it or not there makes no difference. What matters is if they have something to offer that cannot be offered by other cryptocurrencies.
If only one believes in the coin then there is no point. If there would be a lot of people that are convinced that the altcoin is worth something because
it has some sort of real life use, then that would make that altcoin worth something;.
If an altcoin does not have a real world use, it would have value only if it is being traded and speculated by many and is used for daily altcoin trades although those who have real world use is better to invest into. You are right that believing it or not makes no difference but somehow this believing and not believing has an impact on the market. There will always be a relation with the believing and not believing and real world usage of altcoins.
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is rise an interesting project? on: August 08, 2017, 01:24:09 PM
Their website is being redesigned. I watched a video, but looked a bit crappy with lots of buzzwords.

https://rise.vision/

Could be wrong, though. Their Twitter isn't really chatty either. Potential?
I see little to no potential at all in rise coin. Also idea seems to be not that useful at all and site looks crappy.  This project is somewhat what I consider as an ICO that is probably a scam, because the testimony on the lower part of the page seems to be not true. Also they provided a list of organizations that trusts them, but I doubt it and to prove if its real or not, it needs further investigation.
