IMO, it's a merit abuse but there's also this: I think that tagging may be appropriate in particularly obvious cases, or particularly egregious cases involving hundreds of merit points and several posts. But generally you should start out by assuming good faith, and only change that opinion as the evidence really piles up. Tagging someone immediately after an instance of apparently-inexplicable meriting is too trigger-happy IMO. Even if it is a case of illegitimate merit, even hundreds of illegitimate merit points are not much of a problem IMO, so you have to ask whether it's worthwhile to possibly make a mistake by tagging someone who is merely suspicious.

Not sure how many people are willing to tag spammers, given that: That's partially why I sped up work on merit. I don't agree with using the trust system for pure spam; that's not what it was designed for.
I don't think anybody on DT is actively doing so after the merit system was rolled out, so I'm not sure exactly what OP is expecting here. If anyone is concerned about shitposting, they need to report those posts. Mods have a pretty good track record of deleting shitposts and at least temp-banning the offenders. I used to tag shitposters, as did actmyname, but the trust system is a really bad way to deal with them. It's a misuse of it, but at the time the problem was so out of hand that there wasn't anything else to do and something had to be done. That isn't the case today, because of merits. So this thread should probably be locked and OP would be better off just reporting shitposts. As always, I applaud anyone who takes up the fight against these people. As you suggest, post will lock. I expect reg tag for them, so they can't participate on sign camp. Specially they are make shitpost due to sing camp. So I think if they got red tag then they will not approved for sing camp. On this way we can reduce shit post. That's why I found and post here. If DT are not going to tag then so it's not meaning to post any more about shitpost. I just want to help keep clean this forum. Absolutely you can make thread, those are abuse merit system we can post there. At least some thing is better then nothing. On the other hand every body will know merit abuser to stay away give merit them. I have post myself about merit abusing. But there is no action. That's my question. Even they are not punished , no problem. But those are working hard to make QH post, at least trying. Many changes are required in merit system in my opinions as well :
1) With current format, it is working good in terms of encouraging new members to make good posts to get merits. But the spammers who are here to promote fraud projects, growing accounts to sell later and not affected.
2) One of the most important benefit that I believed should have been reducing the useless spam, irrelevant and repetitive posts in discussions. That problem is not solved at all even after merit system. This makes finding good replies harder.
Your point is right. Even some one promoting scam project at the same time they also build their account rank by getting merit. So I believe this system should consider for upgrade again for fair merit system. |

I think merit system emplement for reduce spamming and shitposting from the forum. If abuse or misuse merit system on shitpost and they are not punished, so what meaning of upgrade with merit system ? If abuse , trade and buy sale merit so what is benifite will get from this system ? Some one getting 50+ merit on replay of ANN and some one 0 merit even he make HQ quality post. I think you need upgrade this system again to make it more useful. |

I was post some day before why I want convert btc to BCH. I explain there you will get 1.5X profit if you convert your BTC to BCH. So I converted 1 btc to 8.75 BCH. I take e a risk. Some people was not agree with me that bch will give more profit from btc for meantime. Total 1 BTC I was have on my wallet. So I will update after few days how many btc I have. In my own opinion, I think it is better to hold btc rather than bch, because talking about popularity and safety, it is better all the time to hold bitcoin. Although bch is also a good crypto coin but the comparison is much far from each status as a part of cryptocurrency coin. Bitcoin is a very popular coin, and it is the top coin of all cryptocurrency coins, so the better coin we holds it will also returns of better income
You are not getting my point. Once you have profit 2X then you can sale your BCH and convert into btc. I have bought 8.75 BCH for 1 BTC . After some day I will update how many btc I have. Because only I was have 1 BTC from beginning. That all I convert into BCH. |

I read this comment as a recommendation to childish kids. There is no need to remind BTC holders that there will be better times and hence keep their stash until the price goes up. Everyone knows that. Everyone knows what to do after a thorough due diligence.
