9321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never buy too much coins because you would eventually forgot gosh on: January 09, 2019, 09:26:02 AM
So, as you guys know, most coins will do swap when they perform blockchain upgrades or changing the coins to to a new coin

I just forgot about one of my coins and the swap was ended in the 31st of December
and guess what?

I just lost 0.3 btc because of it
God damn this is so painful

Been holding the coins since 2 year ago in the ICO stage
Never make such mistake guys remember

Ouch, sorry to hear that mate. I guess we can write this as another lessons learn specially for those long term holder to check any updates coming from coins they have been holding for a long time. That's a huge amount to lost to, specially the market condition is getting worst. But appreciate you letting the community know that we really need to track everything on our portfolio and not make the mistakes you had.
9322  Economy / Economics / Re: Stock Market Will Have ‘Good Year’ in 2019: Wharton Finance Prof. on: January 09, 2019, 09:05:27 AM
Quote
Speaking in an interview on CNBC’s Squawk on the Street, Siegel predicted that equity markets in the United States would have “a good year,” rising in the range of 5 to 15 percent.

We went from a rosy view to now, ‘Oh my God, there’s going to be a recession.’ The truth will be somewhere in between, and that leaves the stock market very attractive now.

I think he's spot on. As long as the economy merely stagnates rather than totally shitting the bed, I expect sentiment to turn around and late 2018's decline to be strongly retraced. The high-momentum selloff of December was based on fear of an imminent crash. Once it sinks in for investors that they jumped the gun with their bearishness, I think we'll see the chart morph into a sideways consolidation pattern.

If that take is correct, then buying anywhere near the 2018 lows would have been "cheap."

Eerie similar to what we have seen in the crypto market as well. The high sell-off of stocks might be due to the US-China (silent) trade war but it didn't materializes that much as other doom sayers are putting it. So I'm sure that once things settles down, there could be a good spike for stock markets in the next coming months.  That's the beauty of buying in dips, as the sentiments might go on your favour very quickly. So let's see the first quarter and do hope that stocks and crypto will recover at the same time.
9323  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Cryptobanks Future? on: January 09, 2019, 08:45:16 AM
Friends, I have recently read an article on the future of the banking system thanks to proliferation of smart contracts, some countries are already preparing cryptobanking projects, and this should happen  the next few years. Actually the conclusion of the article was that the free financial market - cryptocurrency is the future for the financial system. Do you agree? Is it so positive, or will the state regulation complicate things, but in my opinion it is inevitable for the banking sector, in your opinion?

Bitcoin = decentralize
CryptoBank = centralize

So I doubt that everyone will used or even move their coins to these so-called cryptobanks. If you are into cryptocurrency, then you know that we are the bank itself and we control everything. Why the hell we need cryptobanking then? Regarding state regulation, it's still debatable though, it's definitely has a effect whether positive or negative, but it's better as compare to a total ban crypto ban by governments around the world.
9324  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's up with bitcoin ? on: January 09, 2019, 08:24:52 AM
What is going on with bitcoin ? there are many fluctuations in short span of time within a limit of $500? but bitcoin is unable to reach a new landmark and trailing around $4000. what's the reason for these temporary price fluctuations?
I think people are shifting exchanges to ETH because it is going to happen the Hard Fork event. The traders are trying to take advantage of this event to push ETH up and start liquidating it after they receive their reward in this event. I guess that after receiving the reward, traders will sell all of the ETH they hold at a higher price than what they have spent.

But ETH is also bringing the price of bitcoin up because of their fork. Definitely, speculators or traders are always taking advantage to squeeze more profit specially we are still in the bearish zone. As for the volatility, it's part of it's ecosystem and as much as we hate it, volatility sometime works on our side, that is if we know how to trade and take advantage of them.
9325  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will market price be BULLISH this 2019? on: January 08, 2019, 11:35:37 PM
I know everyone is expecting that the market price will bull last year as what happened last December 2018, but it didn't happen.

Not everyone. All signs of a bearish trend was written off the wall already when the price grow exponentially in December 2017. Just a matter of time before this bubble will be burst, which did happened in 2018.

Do you think that the market price will be bullish this 2019 like in 2018?  Huh

At this point we really cannot see a bullish upward trend because don't you forget that we are still in the bearish sentiment, we're still close to the last bottom ($3200), we're even a hard time breaking the $4200 barrier (next resistance), so we can never tell what 2019 will bring, hope to see the price goes up, but I wouldn't be surprised if we just tank the whole year long.
9326  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the faith of bitcoin this year on: January 08, 2019, 08:02:39 PM
I would like to be bullish this year for bitcoin. I guess everyone really wanted to see the price going to the moon, however, it will take some time to see the price touching another all-time-high. We might see the Bakkt being approved this month (who knows???) that might start the ball rolling this year. But on the other side, the bear market is not over yet, there will be sell-offs again and the graphs doesn't look like bullish up to this point. Only time can tell, but let's say we need to be very optimistic that this will be a different year and at least see bitcoin price reaching five digits again.
9327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your advice is needed on: January 08, 2019, 07:39:25 PM
I do hope that the OP will heed the call of this community not to leave his job. Although its a crappy job as you have described it, you don't want to be in a position that you will regret later in your life. Of course you're the one who's going to make the final decision, but just remember that crypto involves a very high risk, a risk that you might unable to mitigate. So be smart and always think not just your future but your family as well. Just try to persevere with your current job and save as money as you can.
9328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: January 06, 2019, 10:07:57 AM
It is a sad loss for the Milwaukee Bucks.

They are full of energy at the first half getting a big lead against Toronto but they changed the way they play in the 3rd and 4th.

Leonard, although not scoring much on the first half showed why he is an MVP. Bombarded them with three's and Siakam also helping with the offense getting a new career high.
Congrats to Toronto though, a great come back.

Giannis Antetokounmpo's did have a monster game scoring 43 points with 18 rebounds as well. I like this Siakam dude, he is improving slowly and really complimenting Leonard at the scoring end. I do hope he continue his good play and I'm sure he will be running for the Most Improved Player this season. Bucks lost its touch didn't rotate the ball that much and their defense become questionable as well.
9329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETF and Bakkt will have effect, but BTC halving is the main deal. on: January 05, 2019, 10:57:33 PM
I tend to agree that the next bitcoin block halving will be the catalyst. But a Bakkt future approval will start the ball rolling this year so that at least we can see the market recovered and moving away from the dread $3K range. Also worth noting though that during the last halving in 2016, it took months before we finally see the bull run so don't expect a sudden pump after next year's halving, just saying.
9330  Economy / Speculation / Re: Imagine Crypto and Bitcoin Currency Risks in early 2018 on: January 05, 2019, 10:19:04 PM
The fear of falling prices for Bitcoin and other crypto currencies is suddenly still hotly discussed. Is it true that the future of digital money is getting worse in 2019?

If there's no future then crypto should be dead by now. But as you can see, bitcoin survived its 10 years and we have reach at least $19K during that time. So the future still looks like for crypto in general, might be some hiccups along the way but definitely a lot of leg room to grow in the next 10 years or so. Also remember that this is a free market, anyone can enter and exit as he/she pleases so there's a continuity.
9331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: new foek ETH : ETCV and ETN in jan 2019 on: January 05, 2019, 03:16:45 PM
I think soon there will be official information on the ETH fork. Yet is not fully understood all the terms what you need to do to get the tokens at fork

Right, reminds me when Bitcoin had fork last 2017. Everyone was eager to get 'free' coins and their was pandemonium. Lots of videos, websites pop up with the intention of helping people out but sadly most of them are scams and most lost not only the BCH but bitcoin as well.

I might sit and wait till everything settles down before claiming my fork coins though. Better be safe than sorry.
9332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 05, 2019, 02:36:29 PM
Kerber beat Bencic on the women side so its 1-1.

Bencic gave a good fight against Kerber but unfortunately it was not enough to win.

The Tsonga and Medvedev did not go as I was expecting. Although Tsonga has a good start at the first set with the early break and he was leading 3 - 0! Medvedev came from behind and won the first set in tie-breaker. In the second set Medvedev was dominating. Tsonga was not able to give any fight.

Medvedev deserved the win.

Yes, Bencic gave a good fight but came short.

Medvedev will play Kei Nishikori then for the finals. I thought we're going to see a break out season for Tsonga because he was absent in the circuit for the last 7 months or so. But it's not his day as Medvedev easily won the second set. It's another intriguing match as Nishikori will be chasing his first title in 3 years.

"What matters is the genuineness and reliability of the program"

Lmao. What matter is that you haven't proved anything for people here to trust your program. Just like what we says here, "if it's too good to be true, it probably is".
9334  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for UI/UX designer on: January 05, 2019, 12:47:29 PM
Very lucrative project is almost complete but need a good designer to join our team and make our project look very nice and sleek, partner will receive a good amount of equity in the project in exchange for their work.

Maybe you can create another topic in this thread. Services. That board is the best place where you can rightly get a good candidate. Just be careful with those newbies account and choose the right candidate because it seems that you are offering a competitive and attractive compensation.
9335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 05, 2019, 12:26:46 PM
Now onto the Hopman Cup where Germany has beaten Australia and now go on to face Switzerland in the final. Its going to be a good final to watch as in the Men's side its young up coming talent taking on one of the greatest players of all time in Federer so I'm really looking forward to watching this later today.
Well Federer won it

Score:
Zverev - Federer: 0 -2 (4-6)(2-6)

Seems like it was an easy win for Federer.

In ATP Brisbane, Nishikori already made it to Final. In between Tsonga and Medvedev my bet is for Tsonga. Hopefully he will make it to final too and will face Nishikori.

Really sad that this game went this way regarding their last game.

Was hoping for a better show.

The problem with Zverev is that he is very inconsistent. So I'm not surprised at how the match turns into Roger Federer. Roger took control with a early break and it seems that Zverev did had a hard time. Kerber beat Bencic on the women side so its 1-1.
9336  Economy / Speculation / Re: People who bought BITCOIN at $1000 are now starting to sell, CCN article writes on: January 04, 2019, 07:38:28 PM
To be honest, I don't care about the news and articles because that are information for the masses and maybe a way for the investors to panic. If this is true then those people who bought Bitcoin at $1000 at a stupid idiot because they only started gaining profit when Bitcoin is at its lowest prices. Why they didn't sell at its peak? Complete nonsense article

Exactly, this is just another FUD to spread fear among bitcoin holders. So common sense will tell us that it's not the case, doesn't makes sense to sell at this point and I think they are what we call strong hands. They might have regret not selling on top, but I'm sure they are not stupid to sell at low either.
9337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Postponed ICO after bounty campaign on: January 04, 2019, 07:52:00 AM
I'm not familiar with those ICO but it they are legit then I don't see why they need to postponed it. Investors are smart, if you have a working product then absolutely, someone will invest on it. Yes, there's a lot of projects who thrived in the bear market like WPP or Inifinitus which almost hit their hard cap already. I guess those ICO give up early and don't know how to properly market their product to the right investors.
9338  Economy / Speculation / Re: What can people expect from BTC in 2019? What influences prices? on: January 04, 2019, 06:48:39 AM

As for the price, what matters will influence the price in 2019?

BTC Forks? Lightning network? Miners? Whales? Investors?

Ideas are welcomed and experts are embraced.

More discussions and details could be checked by the following link as well
https://www.reddit.com/r/jex/comments/ac37qn/what_can_you_expect_from_bitcoin_in_2019/

It's a combination of lots of factors. So we can't really pinpoint what influence the price, although a significant portion is based on positive news because the market is based on speculation. So if let's say LN has been rolled out or maybe a Bakkit approval then definitely the price will go spike for the next coming months. Although I believed that investors are now smarter and have matured and no more irrational buyers (like 2017), it will be a long road for us to see and touch all-time-high again.
9339  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cybermiles Testnet help raise CMT token value? on: January 04, 2019, 05:56:50 AM
Are you talking about this coin?

CyberMiles (CMT)
$0.025397 USD (-2.02%)
0.00000660 BTC (-0.46%)

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/cybermiles/

So I don't know where is the huge jump that you are talking about? Bitcoin going to the moon in 3 days? Why you say that? Any information you can share so that we can validate anything?
9340  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders, what are your views in 2019. on: January 04, 2019, 04:53:37 AM
Firstly,  I will like to congratulate all of us that started last year and today according to my country calendar we are in new year in health and prosperity.  I wish all of us traders well.

Yep, we wish everyone a good health this year.

From all indications the cryptocurrencies market and bitcoin in particular has not seen to be in the bottom yet and the bears are more ready to pull down the price further.  We don't even know accurately were the bottom is and according to some speculators bitcoin might go below $3000 before we can see good recovery.

I initially thought that we have reached the bottom at $3200, but who knows, the market is based on speculation and anything can happen. I will try to remain optimistic this year though, but if the market condition worsen, then we need to adjust and be flexible.

My question is this: were did you think Bitcoin's price will be at this time next year and What are your thoughts and technical reasons why bitcoin will not go beyond $3000? Your views will be appreciated.  Thank.

I'm no expert, but we all know that everyone is waiting for Bakkt going live, in any case it's being push through again, we might see the price going down hard and possible to hit < $3K.
