Lol.. you said faster is better cuz it's more fun and exciting. That's what i replied at. Has nothing to do with hourly. Read back your comments if you can't follow it.

Edit: and 5 min instead of 10 seems ok to me. Just the 1 or 3 is too fast.

I think a move to 7 would be better first to gauge it. I think I played at a site before that was set up with 6 at one point and that wasn't too bad. More or less need a median ground. Then the data itself should help show whether it is a good idea to move down a little more or not.

Wow, when I read through Branzig's comment it seemed more like a spam advertisement, lol. Just the way that it is written.

And if someone designs a new logo, I think clouds in the form of the different coins would be awesome. Like take the logos of the coins and line them up in such a way that they make the outline of the cloud.

Haha, I was a bit like Shocked huh? at first, myself.
& Strange you say that - That was an original idea I tried making but I never wanted to repeat 2 coin's logos and didn't have enough to make a decent sized cloud Tongue

Feel free though!

I suck with graphics. Like royally. But I don't think there are any issues with repeating the images. I look at it as being like a necklace or something; there are only so many bead colors before you have to repeat. A way to possibly enhance how it looks is to form it like this (assuming there are 5 coins for brevity):

13245312415324

More or less randomize it to a point.

I see another one being sold here. Surely it's not the same one  Roll Eyes

https://www.bitmit.net/en/item/26277-airplane

http://keycityflyers.com/aircraft.html

I posted I saw this one earlier on thread it is now gone from bitmit.

This would be a good starter airplane but I would caution the hours SMOH on the engine, you would be looking at $10-15k in overhaul or a least $4k in top which i would recommend.

What does "SMOH" mean?

Since major overhaul. If its for private use can you not use it as long as the compression stays with in a specific range?  Obviously this affects the price of the aircraft greatly though

Thanks! That threw me off bad.

1) is there a bathroom?
2) how does the pilot get to said bathroom?  Huh

3) where is the lever to dump said bathroom contents over your ex's house

1.  http://www.sportys.com/PilotShop/product/17485
2.  Self explanatory unless woman pilot, so they made the Lady J http://www.sportys.com/PilotShop/product/13088
3.  Lever for planes you cant open doors and windows definitely needed or just go for a old 150 and prop the window open and drop.

Lol, I can see it now, someone sticking their butt out the window and dropping a deuce as they're flying. Talk about an exhilarating rush. Wouldn't you get sucked out though?

Are u a noob ranklo? How long are u playing poker? All u explain are trivial facts, everyone with the knowledge upper than ranking winning hands know them. I answered NLNico so don't see any need to explain again.

Being a "noob" is irrelevant when all you are playing against is donkeys. Any strategy you feel "works" in these situations doesn't.

The thing about longer blinds is they weed out the majority of the donkeys (except those that get lucky) and let the real players continue on. When you remove this, everyone has no choice but to donkey out and hope for pure luck.

Don't get me wrong, I love shorter games usually (as you get to play through more of them). But in tournaments it's bad. Sit-n-Go's are alright.
9346  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Mortgage Cosigner on: May 27, 2013, 12:40:07 PM
Thanks yes I have equity and credit but no income. I want a 500k house, 50 down. 10k to anyone who helps me.

That's a pretty attractive offer if the equity is high enough.

Sadly that's out of my range.

Thanks for clarifying though! For future reference, state these things at the beginning to combat speculation and such.

Lol, bybitcoin..

You said:
As an offer: level time set at 3min or even 1 is exciting and more fun!
I said:
Yeh, but also much more fishy and more luck than "skill".

This is 100% true. Faster levels provoke more all-ins preflop and therefor more luck and therefor more chance for the "fishes" to win. I have played 60 SatoshiPoker tourneys in the last 2 days and I do not see much people be very loose in the 1K GTD. Yet everyone is very loose and easily go all-in in the Super Turbo. Why? Because of the fast levels. If you do not understand this, then you don't understand the basics of poker.

Then after my first reply, you come up with this late registration strategy, which is (like I said) another "issue". Fast levels slightly "solve" this problem, even though I think it's not the best solution (cuz you can just remove late reg.)

And now you come up with "hourly tournaments should be finished within the hour". Which in some cases, like freerolls, I might actually agree (actually I might disagree too, tbh idc about when it's finished.) Still this has nothing to do with the fact that "fast structure = more luck". You really cannot argue with that :\

And my suggestion and/or solution would be: less freerolls, higher pricepool, same structure (so it's not all luck) Smiley OR only the freerolls a little bit faster and let the GTD be played normally. But of course that's up to the admins. I do think there was a lot of action last 2 days with all the tourneys so that's good for SP of course Smiley

edit: to be honest I think we agree on most parts, you just didn't formulate your opinion well and come with new 'arguments' every time :p

I'm with you on this. In any game I've played online or in real life that has fast blinds, the play styles are easy to see the difference in. Because blinds move so fast you can not wait for good hands or you will be blinded out. Instead, you have to risk it in the hopes that whatever you went all-in with happens to win, or that you take blinds.

The worst part is that with 3 minute blinds, you are looking at as few as 4-5 hands. On a 9-person table, this means every time it's time for you to post blinds you are putting up 2-3x as much. This leads to a situation where you have to win not only 1/9 to keep even, but around 1/5 of the hands or the blinds are knocking you out.
9348  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Mortgage Cosigner on: May 27, 2013, 12:10:29 PM
I have legit equity. Just no official new income.

Ah, that explains a lot! So basically you have enough to back it up, and the problem is that your perceived worth (due to no "steady income") is what is holding you back from being able to get it on your own?

If this is the case, I understand where you're coming from now.
9349  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: May 27, 2013, 03:41:12 AM
Seals rake is about the lowest you'll find anywhere.

Other sites that give huge rakeback deals charge twice as much rake to begin with.

5% rake with 50% RB = 2.5% rake with no RB

Low rake is good but the way we perceive the rakeback doesn't correlate. For example:

If rake is 10% and rakeback is 8%
If rake is 20% and rakeback is 16%

We will always perceive the 16% rakeback as being the better deal, despite them both being the same. At the same time, we look at the rake and say that the 10% is better than the 20%, although again both end up equal.

So no matter how they have the rake/rakeback set up, there will always be people on both sides (liking/disliking).

Yeh, but also much more fishy and more luck than "skill".

A lot of players, including me, mostly play with many tables at the same time anyway :X :p so for me this is no problem :X only with the HTML5 client it might be confusing (or even impossible to play multiple.)

Yeah, making the levels faster means you have to spend more time risking and less time using strategy. 3 minutes could be as little as 4-5 hands before the blinds increase.

I also play multiple tables.
9352  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Mortgage Cosigner on: May 27, 2013, 02:59:47 AM
A mortgage is a secured loan. Since I'm putting a large percentage down, it would take both me defaulting and a large market drop to take a loss. Otherwise, IF I default, the loan can simply be paid back probably at a profit.

I am the one taking a huge risk. The cosigner will be on the title. When I pay off the loan, the cosigner can simply take half the house.

This is why you would write up a contract that disables them from doing so. Make sure to write out all of the specifics though. This should allow you to protect yourself from someone being able to do that.
9353  Economy / Services / Re: Paying $50 in BTC for 300 word essay on: May 26, 2013, 11:48:45 PM
Thanks Ranlo - I think.   Tongue

Posts written on a forum are not representative of anybody's best work.  Sentence fragments aren't OK in professional writing, but they're perfectly acceptable in casual usage here.

In this case, the OP was very clear that he was looking for speed rather than perfection, which I delivered.  Perfection takes more time, but I can deliver that as well.  Your criticism is duly noted however - I'll take more care in my forum posts generally.   Wink

It wasn't an attack at your forum posts themselves. It's just the principle of the matter when it deals with situations like this. It just reminded me of a post I saw on CraigsList where a guy was offering up his professional writing services (with claims he has been teaching English in college for years) and yet it was riddled with mistakes like "your going to love it." My first thought was, "there's no way I would trust him with professional documents. I would have to go back and proofread them after he's done, and if I'm doing that I might as well just write them."
9354  Economy / Services / Re: Paying $50 in BTC for 300 word essay on: May 26, 2013, 11:25:41 PM
From the time stamp its 20 minutes after the guy started that he backed out, thats half the essay of within an hour. I would agree on him being a scammer if he doesn't compensate that in some way.

This was my thought exactly. Had I been the one to accept this, I would have started on it immediately and had it completed (along with all editing and proofreading) within 15 to 20 minutes. I would be very disappointed if he then, after all of that work, turned around and said it was no longer needed. It's not like I would have any other use for that work, and it would mean I took time away from my other work. As a result, I would not be willing to take the 25%. I could understand accepting this if you hadn't started, though.

Also, I would say that vitalemontea lucked out on this deal. Not to be too critical, but BitCoinUser123's posts here are grammatically incorrect and one would assume that an admissions essay would be looking for a more professionally written statement. In most cases I would not call someone out for this, but when it deals with areas where proper writing is important, it becomes a big deal.

Don't worry, BitCoinUser123. I still love you! <3.

9356  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CoinCloud ~ The All in one place for cryptos ~ www.CoinCloud.tk on: May 26, 2013, 09:47:45 PM
Got ya. I'm surprised a host would take down a site just because it's related to crypto currency. Especially when some big name people are even backing it.

A program like Dreamweaver may be a good idea if you are new to the web development side. There are also a lot of free alternatives as well, though I have never used any of them (I mostly just code by hand).

I know! Sad just after I had got the site ready and published it etc.! - unregistered my old .tk name (ecoins.tk) then some sneaky bastard company come along and snatch that as it had, had so many views randomly! :@ boo! - but CoinCloud was born out of all this so yey! Smiley
& yeah, their customer service replies were blunt and unhelpful to say the least..

Also thank you! - I'll look into them! Smiley
Shocked I discovered crypto currencies which I didn't know exist. Thanks Cheesy

Apologies the site hasn't many pages yet but glad to hear you managed to find a new coin! Cheesy

My aim is to build the all in one go to place for newbies but yeah.. "i'm just a dreeeeaaamer.." -ozzy. Tongue

Ohhh, are you sure they took down the site because of Bitcoin, or was it because of the .tk? In the beginning I was using .tk's for some sites I wanted to get up and running before taking "live," and out of five hosts I tried all of them deleted the accounts due to the .tk address. This is when I moved to .co.cc for testing addresses and have had no issues since (though .co.cc has some bad press attached as well, but not nearly as negative).
9357  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Mortgage Cosigner on: May 26, 2013, 08:46:11 PM
I think his wording was a bit off. It's not compensation, but rather collateral. The collateral would have to be worth at least as much as the house, otherwise he could default at any time and it's the co-signer that is fully responsible for it.

This is seen a lot with second houses and such (you put up one house as collateral to get a second one).

Correct. Does OP have a bunch of coins or something that someone could help him buy a house with? Only way i see out  Undecided

Coins leads up to the same problem as brought up a bit earlier though. These would, for all intents and purposes, be considered as liquid assets. In that case he could just as easily sell them off, get the house and be able to skip the middleman altogether. I'm thinking it has to be something different he has in mind.
9358  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Someone just bought the entire wall right up to $31.89 on: May 26, 2013, 08:43:46 PM
It seems like there are a lot of really bullish bitcoiners on here and the bitcoin subreddit - but I agree that it's not too far-fetched to see a $250 or $300/BTC by year's end.

I agree, especially with all the new investors jumping in on it. Of course we still have the government "problem," but as things are going right now I think it will be settling down in the future and we'll have a better understanding of how everything will work out.

Major investors getting in on this is huge, as those are the same people with the money and connections to push this out to even more people.
9359  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Mortgage Cosigner on: May 26, 2013, 07:42:04 PM

Exactly.  This is what I was getting at before.  I think johnniewalker was talking about security rather than outright compensation as well.

Technically in the scenario where OP gets a cosigner and defaults, they're both liable - but the expectation is that OP won't have or doesn't have enough TO collect to bother chasing after him, whereas the cosigner would.  When I said before that:

I tried to imagine a scenario that could justify it, such as ponying up an amount of BTC equal to the value of the house / mortgage, to be held in escrow.  But even in that scenario, the volatility of BTC makes it a huge risk as the value could go either way.

I was pointing out the only scenario I could possibly think of where this would make sense, and identifying the major problem with that - because a) past history is not indicative of future performance.  I expect BTC to go up, but the price could go down and b) if the OP has that much BTC and critically needs to buy the house, he could cash it out, buy with cash and have no need for the co-signer.

He could have some kind of brilliant exotic plan that I haven't thought of, and although it might sound like it that genuinely isn't sarcasm.  I just can't imagine too many plans that are brilliant AND aboveboard AND would use real estate as the investment AND require a co-signer who would shoulder legal responsibility.  That could be a complete failure of imagination on my part, but it definitely made me curious.  OP isn't justified in being condescending, but he is justified to a degree in ignoring me, because it's morbid curiosity on my part.  I personally wouldn't likely shoulder a responsibility like this for a friend or relative, let alone a pseudonymous stranger.

True. I think going with the BTC would be a bad idea. He said he has "equity," but hasn't said what that is yet. How much it is in relation to how much he's asking is a big concern, as is how liquid it is. I'd love if he could come here and explain a bit more about this so we, as well as others, can get a better idea of what he's actually asking for. It's entirely possible that he has property that is worth enough to be going for what he is (and maybe that's what he's offering up). At this point we can just guess.
9360  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Mortgage Cosigner on: May 26, 2013, 06:31:07 PM
Don't you realize that anybody with half a brain would require compensation to the tune of the price of the house if they are going to cosign your mortgage? If you find someone desperate enough to do it, I'd say its safe to say their credit isn't sufficient anyway. Literally the only person you could find willing to do this is a [first-time-they still have to have good credit] drug addict. Good luck.

..and if he could compensate them he could just buy the house, right?

However reading the second part of your post, I could be interested.

I think his wording was a bit off. It's not compensation, but rather collateral. The collateral would have to be worth at least as much as the house, otherwise he could default at any time and it's the co-signer that is fully responsible for it.
