Hey OgNasty, this message was signed from an address that's being use by Brainwallet for demo purposes. There are many other members who staked this address but it's only used once here. You can check hosseinimr93's investigation https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5300127.0

I have already ignored that user since their post due to their activity so there's not much more I can do at this point.  I don't care about staking though and don't really feel your comment is relevant (LoyceV seems to, but that's no surprise as he's pretty clueless).  I care if the user can post a signed message with their username and hope that any misuse will come to light by the forum investigators who live for these types of threads that are rich with information they can use.

Let's try to keep this thread on topic.  If you have concerns about users posting here, feel free to PM me.  I likely won't respond but I'll check to make sure I've already ignored any troublemakers so they do not get any further merit or attention from me.
9362  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT1 and DT2 members who have negative feedback (or are banned) on: December 15, 2020, 11:34:47 PM
Also interesting that OgNasty was sending trust ratings on the very first day the trust system was announced despite not knowing anything about it:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=18321;page=sent;offset=340

That's interesting?  I knew what everyone knew after it was released and it was obvious how to leave a trust rating...  What I didn't know was that I was chosen as a DT member without my knowledge so that every person I distrusted (excluded their ratings from my network) for leaving dishonest ratings would team up and try to damage my reputation and the reputation of any project I choose to support as retaliation for their inappropriate behavior being excluded from the network.  I especially didn't think the person who thrust me into this position without my knowledge or approval would eventually empower these inappropriately behaving users to attack me and take no personal responsibility in the matter.  That not withstanding, I feel sorry for the users such as yourself that missed the bitcointalk golden era.  It was so awesome and everyone was so supportive of each other and willing to assist building projects.  It was such an amazing time that I'm still willing to put up with the trolling here and continue to do the right thing in the face of harassment as a thank you to Bitcoin.  Maybe had you been around for it you wouldn't be such a negative presence here and would know how to act right and encourage others to build on Bitcoin instead of trying to tear apart new users who don't behave according to your agenda.

One of these days when the dust has settled, we'll maybe know the story behind these people and what the forum and the fights on it meant to them each personally.

OG and Vod have this legendary rivalry that keeps popping up in the forum. Lauda has now long gone. New players keep dropping in and leaving. How can one forget QS? I wish someone someday will make a documentary about it all. Hope the narrative will be how things happened and not a biased viewpoint.

Often through these debates, it has always seemed like one man's truth was another man's lie.

It isn't a legendary rivalry.  Vod is a liar who trolls me because he has no life and is desperately seeking some form of relevance.  You would be disappointed with a documentary on the subject.  I spend a vast majority of my day sitting behind a screen working on various projects that are mostly non-Bitcoin related.  If it wasn't for the activity metric and lack of interesting community projects here as a result of the horrendous atmosphere that has been created, I would likely ignore him completely like I did for many years before this place became what it now is.
9363  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT1 and DT2 members who have negative feedback (or are banned) on: December 14, 2020, 10:26:03 PM
Your lack of experience on this forum is showing again.
Lol. If you want me to respond to this, please create a topic in which it's not off-topic.

The best part is that right after he says you have no experience, he proceeds to explain how his lack of knowledge of how the system works is his excuse for misusing it.

Priceless.

That’s because I was here before it was created and no information or notification was given prior to it being created. Therefore nobody knew what it was at the time and had to search out information on it once it appeared. Thanks for also sharing your ignorance. It’s great to be attacked by people who have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about, which is how I’d describe my last several years here. So much facepalm. If only people were knowledgeable enough to realize it. You’d be better served listening to my experience and learning from it than trying to pick it apart with semantics.

The Outpost was a more recent war film that I thought was worth the watch and it’s on Netflix.

I wasn't able to verify.  It could be a formatting issue.  I should probably update the OP to show the proper accepted format of sending a signed message, but I didn't want to be too much of a stickler on the newbies.  Nevertheless, learning to provide a signature in a verifiable format is somewhat important, and I was not able to verify the above signed message as it has been presented to me.
9366  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT1 and DT2 members who have negative feedback (or are banned) on: December 13, 2020, 11:25:23 PM
The entire trust/flags system has gone to absolute shit. It doubled the amount of problems while presenting no solutions or resolution to the existing problem. All of my negative trust ratings stem from me being in DT (which I never asked for and wasn’t even notified of when it was implemented, long before what exists as the trust system today was put in place) and not trusting certain individuals as a result of various negative interactions. The entire DT experience for me, I would describe as someone else signing you up to run for president without your knowledge and then abandoning you once the attack ads start airing on TV.
Why didn't you ask theymos to remove you from DT1 if you didn't want it?
In the current system you can very easily opt out of DT1 by emptying your Trust list. Or asking theymos to blacklist you from DT1. This won't stop you from being on DT2 though, that's still up to DT1.

Your lack of experience on this forum is showing again.  I was never notified or told I was being put on default trust or ever given any kind of explanation of it.  There was no opting out.  I learned what DT was and that I was in it when I started being attacked for it by scammers which puts me in a unique position of easily identifying who the nefarious users on this site are.  I was confused why I was being attacked since I had nothing but positive interactions here through half a decade of daily trades/escrows, but knew all of my ratings and trust activity was honest, so I didn't worry as I assumed theymos would have my back for exposing myself and my family to hate on satoshi's forum's behalf (I now see I was used as a scapegoat).  As the years passed, more and more of these users harboring resentment for me joined up building trust connections and waiting to attack, which is what we saw as soon as theymos changed the trust network empowering nefarious users to attack those who had put in years of effort trying to keep this place from becoming what it is now.  An unsafe atmosphere that no legitimate project could ever flourish in.

If someone like myself, who has safeguarded tens (hundreds?) of millions of dollars for others without a single legitimate complaint can have their narrative changed by an alcoholic with severe brain issues who can't hold a minimum wage job and a housewife taking out frustrations from her unhappy marriage on forum users, there is a clear failure from the top down.  This is what we're seeing here and as much as you'd like to see me pull a philipma1957 and cop out on my trust to avoid personal harassment so you and your buddies can have near complete control of the trust network, I don't feel that is the right thing to do for the forum.  If I only cared about myself, sure, being in DT is a thankless job that will get your family harassed, your motivations constantly questioned, and there is no upside or anyone in the administration who will stand up for you.  Luckily for me, I've got the time, am fearless, and I owe it to Bitcoin that helped me become blessed beyond expectation to continue fighting the good fight.  If you want me out of DT, keep pushing the narrative.  There will eventually be enough ignorant users here that have been bamboozled into thinking I'm not fighting for what is right here at my own expense.  I'm actually routing for you to achieve this goal on the inside as it would make my life easier, but I will continue doing what is right, even long after I am removed from DT because my role with this account is not to act in the best interests of myself personally, or theymos, or anyone else.  I am here for Bitcoin.

If you decrypt this message, it reads

I was unable to decrypt.  There is also no need to post the decrypted message.  It's a bit counterintuitive.
9368  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Merit] Hey Bitcoiners! Can You Send Encrypted Messages? on: December 13, 2020, 05:18:04 AM
I can't apply this thing for now but at least I know that there is a kind of  sending encrypted messages. Not totally bad actually for security purposes. So, I will be trying for good again.

It is definitely a good thing to know exists and how to use before you need it.
9369  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT1 and DT2 members who have negative feedback (or are banned) on: December 13, 2020, 02:56:17 AM
I seem to recall asking @theymos for clarification in that thread at that time, but like all missives from theymos, it went unanswered.

Predictions:
LaMelo Ball is a bust.

I may have been premature on this one. He’s looking pretty good so far in his preseason debut.

Posthumously Automated Proxy Assassination (or Papa for short)

I patent the process of using smart contracts to activate a drone to murder someone.

In other words, I want to make a killing when someone else does.   Grin

Vod.

Nice.  You couldn't keep a simple database server running but think you can be relied upon to create something with the power to murder posthumously?  I never know when you're trolling or having another delusional episode from your drinking and brain damage but I hope you get the help you need either way.  Threads like this aren't good for anybody.  They make you look like an idiot, make bitcointalk look like it endorses criminal behavior, and further the misconception that Bitcoin is used by criminals for nefarious behavior.
9374  Other / Archival / Re: [Merit] Hey Newbies! Can You Sign A Message? on: December 11, 2020, 11:05:49 PM
Seems like we're getting mostly bounty spammers and alt accounts signing messages now.  I'd love it if that weren't the case...
9375  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Heritage/Insurance Encapsuled Encryption System on: December 10, 2020, 10:43:14 PM
Sounds like PGP only with security questions instead of private keys.  I'm not sure about your claim it is safe against memory loss though.  Don't you have to then rely on others to not forget the answers to their questions, or to select questions that can't be known by anyone else?  I like the effort, but I'd like to better understand the benefits to using this system as opposed to systems already in place.  It appears the lack of needing a key makes it a bit of an 'Encryption For Dummies' service.  Is that the intended benefit?
9376  Economy / Reputation / Re: ~OgNasty's self scratching on: December 10, 2020, 10:35:10 PM
Back on topic:  OG lied about not losing 6,500 btc.   Is he being as honest about his DT inclusions?

Imagine standing behind Vod's ridiculous lies like LoyceV and suchmoon do while including him into their trust networks, and then trying to call out others for adding honest members with legitimate feedback to the trust network.  Is it clear yet that the goal for these users isn't an honest trust system tied to real life happenings, but to have control over who can or can't be in the trust network based on their own emotions?  Imagine wanting to exclude one of longest the most active trading histories on the forum because of honest positive feedback, while simultaneously including a user like Vod with now a very long verifiable record of lying (see recent example above) based on nothing but his own delusions while drunk.  It should be clear from this debacle that the trust network is not functioning as intended and needs some intervention from theymos.
9377  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Merit] Hey Bitcoiners! Can You Send Encrypted Messages? on: December 10, 2020, 10:15:11 PM
Well, here is my message to OP, Hope it will get to him.

You encrypted your PGP encrypted message.

@JTripathy - I ignored you a long time ago for being a bounty spammer.  Please stop posting in my threads.  I am not reading what you post.
9378  Economy / Reputation / Re: suchmoon attacks trusted users to control their trust networks on: December 10, 2020, 02:59:44 AM
it has actually correctly been identified as a thread to discuss your cultish trust usage and how it has enabled you to use this “self scratching” attack on reputable members multiple times over a period of years in the past as a way to exercise more control over the trust network than you deserve. Tell me, is that behavior deserving of a negative trust rating or just exclusion from the trust network?

What, sending a harassing PM doesn't float your boat anymore? Do whatever you want, sparky.

A member has for years now been attacking trusted users and forcing the trusted users to remove inclusions for feedback that existed prior to them joining the forum.  They have done this in order to degrade the value of longterm member's earned trust ratings as a way to appear more valuable to the forum and have more influence on their own website which judges users on just these sorts of ratings.

Conflict of interest?  Sure.  Shady as fuck?  Yup.  Dishonest?  Sure seems that way.  What is the appropriate response to such a user suchmoon?
9379  Economy / Reputation / Re: suchmoon attacks trusted users to control their trust networks on: December 10, 2020, 02:09:32 AM
This is about OgNasty's trust list self-scratching.

I know you started it with that agenda, but it has actually correctly been identified as a thread to discuss your cultish trust usage and how it has enabled you to use this “self scratching” attack on reputable members multiple times over a period of years in the past as a way to exercise more control over the trust network than you deserve. Tell me, is that behavior deserving of a negative trust rating or just exclusion from the trust network?

I should also add that these creatures abuse the trust network as a team and so they utilize attacks like this "self scratching" nonsense because they know it cannot be used against them, since they are all working together to manipulate the trust network.  Actually not a bad approach.  Attack people for acting as honest individuals while giving yourself immunity for abusing the network as a team.  I will say as far as attacks go, this is one of the smarter approaches these creatures utilize.  Users like myself an philipma1957 were even fooled previously by it.

You are totally correct in this analysis.
9380  Economy / Reputation / Re: ~OgNasty's self scratching on: December 09, 2020, 11:35:39 PM
Don't know much about Vod except he fights with Og

This being the real reason Vod continues to troll me.  His lie-filled attacks on me are the only thing that give him relevance after nearly 10 years of participation here.  I don't think when all is said and done that he will be remembered kindly.

I'm just refuting you calling me a liar.    You said you lost 6,500 btc, now you are saying you didn't?

Obviously I wouldn’t make up a lie like that. I’ve never lost anyone’s money. Not a single satoshi.
