I think the Estadio Hernando Siles in La Paz is a boon for Bolivia. A lot of talk about Christian Wood and I agree it is a good signing, but I still don’t think he starts or even replaces Rui when it comes to minutes. Rui had a great season last year and I think Christian Wood will likely get garbage minutes in comparison. I still say he’s an insurance policy in case Anthony Davis goes down.
I agree with you. The small contract may have been due to the fact that from the start Wood was not competing with Davis as a power forward, but as a backup. The presence of Wood will allow Davis to save playing minutes, in order to maintain his physical fitness throughout the season. |

Atletico Madrid are good in starting well, but once the season get to the middle then you will begin to see them reducing points that will make them not to recover till the end of the tournament.
Atletico is indeed a great club. However, they have gaps in terms of squad depth. Substitute players do not have the capacity and capability to approach the main players. It was not visible at the start of the season. But in the middle of the season, a busy match schedule and the risk of injury are a scary threat for teams that don't have good squad depth. |
