121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: March 30, 2024, 06:01:00 AM
I was just playing Hi-Lo, making small dollar bets, if it's 5 number card I select higher card and win, if it's 10 number then I go with 'low' and win.

Then I was greeted with Ace card, minimal possibility for equal card right (i.e, Ace), so I go all in, and guess what happens, the result is Ace means I lost the bet.

Then I have all sorts of thoughts blaming casino, like do they manipulate the result of the game when user goes all in. I am sure they are all fair, it's just that the possibility of losing the game may be minimal but it's never 0.

Have you entered a multiplier above 100x? I've also played Hi-Lo and honestly it's a fun game in my opinion. You can stop playing and cash out your money at any time. Of course it is very painful when you get a high multiplier and then your money is lost because you got AS. But I think that will only happen if you continue and continue your game. I personally will cash out when I get to 10:90 on a high multiplier because usually you will lose. For example, if I get Hi 10% and Lo 90% then I will choose to cash out my bet.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does prediction in sport work for you? on: March 30, 2024, 05:30:14 AM

If you are interested in gambling on sports, do you rely on prediction betting sites? Why?
What is the most prominent site you rely on?

Do you mean that the prediction betting site is a sports betting site? If yes then I often rely on their predictions to determine my bets. Of course I won't believe them 100%. But sports betting will provide over and under values based on the statistical data they have received. I think that helps me a little bit to see where the game is going. But I will still bet on my own choice. It would be nice if you bet on the over value and you win your bet. I once had a big win when betting on MMA. I think we can take advantage of betting sites predictions but don't completely trust them.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: March 30, 2024, 05:18:13 AM
But think about impatience. It can really kill your game
Make you bet more than you should, or make you revenge gamble, making your thoughts unclear.
So I think patience may help, even if it’s just for better managing your bankroll and going slower

It seems we have a different perception with UltraElite. I agree that if you are patient you won't have much change in your bets. There is no way you will get a royal flush because you are patient in playing.

But I think what is meant by patience here is patience not to increase the bet significantly and chase the jackpot. Some gamblers are impatient with the results they get and they immediately play big bets that they can't afford because they can't wait to get rich instantly. So patience cannot help you win gambling, but it can help you not be greedy in gambling.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: User experience Trends in Online Gambling: What's Next? on: March 30, 2024, 05:10:34 AM
- what trends would you like to see in the future (eg interactive game design, innovative customer service or loyalty programs, etc.).
- what improvements or features would you specifically appreciate or suggest (what is missing)?

I want a more interactive and competitive game. I'm not a gambling addict and I never bet big bets. I enjoy gambling games. Therefore I only want development of the game and how players interact with the game. Next I want an adjustment in the withdrawal amount. I'm specific on crypto casinos. Most casinos have a minimum withdrawal amount of around BTC0.001 BTC and if you see the price of BTC continuing to rise I think there is a need to improve there. Next for security I agree with 2FA but to be honest I haven't used it because I never have a high balance in my casino account.
125  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who does gambling addiction affect the most? on: March 30, 2024, 04:59:25 AM

I think deeply impacts both the gambler and their immediate family, but in different ways. For the gambler, it brings personal turmoil like financial ruin, mental health issues, and strained relationships. The family, however, faces the ripple effects financial instability, emotional stress, and potential social isolation. Children can be particularly vulnerable, carrying the emotional scars into adulthood. It's challenging to say who suffers more because both the gambler and their family endure significant hardships. Essentially, gambling addiction should be seen as a family issue, not just an individual one, requiring support and intervention for everyone affected.

I agree with you. And I think this is a very correct answer. I personally think the most affected by gambling addiction is his immediate family. My reason is because my close family is not addicted to gambling but they have to accept the effects of a gambler in their family. This is very unfair. Just like passive smokers who have to suffer from diseases and negative effects of cigarettes due to active smoking. Close families will feel the negative social and economic impacts. And I think no one wants their family to be addicted to gambling.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: March 29, 2024, 07:21:00 PM

I see no reason why the person who is emotional and gambling senselessly should still be at the casino or not close the gambling platform. Though some might even try to fight it by being conscious with the help of discipline and determination, but if this seems not to be working, just walk away, nothing is safer than that in gambling. You may now return the next day or even give it time in days or weeks to get back to your normal self. No gambler doing this will be wasting money unnecessarily.

People who are addicted to gambling usually cannot think realistically when making decisions. That's why they can't stop gambling like normal people. They are very obsessed with beating casinos and gambling sites. They are very eager to get a big win. It is very difficult to explain logically to gambling addicts. We can only hope they realize their mistake. A wise gambler will never let his emotions control him in making decisions.
127  Other / Off-topic / Re: What if an employee of a betting company misuses company funds for gambling? on: March 29, 2024, 07:08:34 PM
Do you think a betting company or casino will understand and not arrest an employee who has access to company funds and then misuses it for gambling? If this employee claims that he is battling from gambling addiction, will he be considered for a lighter punishment? If you own such a casino or betting platform, what will you do to such an employee, understanding that addiction to gambling can make people make decisions that are unexpected.

He admits he is addicted to gambling, and expects lighter punishment, after spending my company's money? I don't think I would be so stupid as to let him keep working at my company. He has stolen my money and I will not tolerate it for any reason. Because if I let it go I think I'll be a joke to my other employees and there's a chance they'll do the same. I really hate betrayal. I will not try to sympathize with him because he is addicted to gambling and therefore he misuses my company funds.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still truly achieve anonymous gambling in crypto? on: March 29, 2024, 06:57:20 PM
Crypto has been known for anonymity. During the early stage, we like to promote it using the words "decentralized" and "anonymous ", and it's the main reason why a lot of gamblers have chosen to gamble using crypto to gain full privacy, but it seems like things have really change a lot now as gamblers are looking for a casino that are licensed while some casinos who promotes anonymous gambling eventually act like a fiat casino that requires KYC.

What do you think about this one, where is are we heading? And can we still consider crypto casino different from fiat casino?

No one is truly anonymous if you use crypto to gamble. Yes of course crypto casinos are easier to use than FIAT casinos and you can withdraw your money in crypto and withdraw it in fiat. It doesn't require as much validation as withdrawing fiat from a crypto casino. I think some crypto casinos still don't require KYC to withdraw your money. Casino sites like Duelbits do not ask for your KYC to withdraw your crypto. I don't know if these regulations will be different in each country. I won several times on sports bets and they didn't ask for KYC verification.
129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is AI going to affect gambling in any way ? on: March 29, 2024, 06:48:41 PM
AI has impacted almost all online businesses to major extent. Do you feel that there will be major impact of AI technology on online gambling industry as well ?

I think in the future AI will become an inseparable part of our lives, just like the internet and social media. The use of AI will be very diverse in casinos and gambling. I don't know if you are asking something negative or positive about the use of AI in casinos. Using AI to cheat casinos is certainly illegal and bad. But I think the positive impact is that AI will really help casinos develop their business even better. They can use AI to create new games that have never existed before. I think it will be one of the revolutionary breakthroughs in the use of AI in the future.
130  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: March 29, 2024, 06:38:05 PM

Found some good points that I support in your post. It isnt necessary to yell on the street "I am a gambler! I am a gambler!" But it also isnt necessary to cross the street or try to ignore the question "Do you gamble?" when somebody asks. I am not keeping in secret that I gamble. And I dont welcome people "Hello, my name is TopTort777 and I gamble". And you know what, I have never had any trouble or any kind of harassment from not hiding that I gamble. I see only disadvantages of hiding such hobby and see no advantages.

Btw, would gladly listen to any advantages of hiding gambling hobby. (opinion from those where gambling is illegal does not count).

I think it's influenced by the environment a person lives in and how their family views gambling. Some people can be very comfortable with not hiding that they are gamblers. But people who live in environments and families who consider gambling to be something bad will certainly not be comfortable if they do not hide their gambling habits. I personally am very uncomfortable when someone knows my account and checks my total bet. I experienced a loss on one of the gambling sites and my friend made fun of me for looking at my account. Because of that, I never publish my accounts to anyone.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: March 29, 2024, 06:28:47 PM
Hi,

There are always things that we are passionate about doing, such as video games, football, basketball, and sports in general, meaning that everyone has something that excites them and makes them want to do.
Like others, I get very excited when I sit down, take my phone, and start my bets. This does not mean that I am addicted, but rather I find it more comfortable and I have more fun.

Does gambling excites you? What motivates you, winning or just the fun in it ?

I like several things like sports and video games. Because I like sports, I also like sports betting. It's a lot of fun when betting and watching the game. It is an adrenaline rush and stress reliever on the weekends for me after working in the office. But I never thought about winning a big bet. I gamble just for fun. I didn't think about winning. I think we become addicted to gambling when we really want to win. I enjoy winning and losing in gambling as much as watching my favorite teams win and lose.
132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 27, 2024, 10:20:38 AM
Am I surprised with that? Not at all. I was already expecting a really close game and bookmakers are also expecting for the same thing. Maybe there is a gap of sixteen points in the standings but this is easy to misguide someone. Even though Lazio aren't performing the same as the previous season they can still make serious difficulties home. Especially while Juventus are in a bad form I wouldn't bet on them. If I place a bet my choice would be both teams to score @2.03.

I bet the match will end in a draw. I'm not sure Juventus will be able to beat Lazio even though Lazio is ranked 9th in the standings. After the defeat to Inter Milan, Juventus' performance has really declined. I don't know what's going on with Juventus as a whole. Do they no longer have the spirit of competition so they only think about securing a place in the Champions League? I wouldn't bet on Juventus in that match either. But I'm also not sure Lazio will be able to win the match. So I choose to bet that both teams will draw.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: stop the unnecessary blame on gambling whenever you get unlucky on: March 27, 2024, 10:11:24 AM
I believe that before one make a decision in life, they should've already weighed the consequences of making the right or wrong choice, then put their fate on luck coupled with their little knowledge concerning what they're about to decide on, so why complain and play the blame game when things go wrong? "Share your thought on how gambling has come through for you if you got any".

It should be like that. But as you know, most gamblers never really think about the consequences that will happen to them when gambling. I agree with the OP that there are some gamblers who can win at gambling and open a business. But look how many gamblers there are like that? How many gamblers think carefully and understand the risks when gambling? I have several friends who are in debt and destroying themselves because of their gambling addiction. But I also have friends who are wise gamblers who gamble just for fun. Unfortunately, I don't have any friends who are successful from gambling and can open a business.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: March 27, 2024, 10:00:53 AM
We gamble for fun but also doing what we think is best for us, most of these gamblers you see or have encountered in the space are going through alot due to heavy loss, some of them even went as far as borrowing for gambling. A business man taking his own life due to the heavy loss recorded on his end in gambling. No human sits in position to take his life because there's always new opportunities everyday in the space and it's our primary duty to keep attempting if we're solely interested in the big winnings, remember nothing good comes easy.

We also only gamble on a limited budget. My friends and I have agreed on a reasonable gambling budget so we will have fun within that budget. We never bet on big bets and hope to win the jackpot. We gamble just for fun. It is not easy to be a wise gambler, therefore it is important to choose wise gambling friends.

What happened to the businessman who committed suicide was because he used his business money to gamble and hope to win the jackpot. I think it was really a fatal mistake. I'm sorry for what happened to that businessman. This can be an important lesson for all of us so we can become wise gamblers.
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: March 27, 2024, 09:51:12 AM

What if, I get a chance to participate in a lottery without any investment?
If any gambling site offers, free of cost entry in the lottery, i would definitely not miss that one. Smiley

I also love the lottery. Even though the prize is very small, I will still participate. Paid lotteries are certainly gambling. I have participated in paid lotteries or free lotteries. But I never expected to win it. As you said playing the lottery is very, very easy and there are many people who do it. So the chance of winning will be very small. And it's important to know that lottery is also a form of gambling, so you still need to be a wise gambler so you don't get addicted.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How your feels? on: March 27, 2024, 09:41:23 AM
That is very correct. If you bought the coins to gamble in the first place, it means you don't need to regret what you have done. As what I said before. Unless you bought the coin to invest then you sold it when the price was below your purchase price and then today the price rose hundreds of percent. That would be a regret. So you can forget about that and I think you need to differentiate which coins you buy to gamble and which coins you buy to save.
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: March 25, 2024, 08:45:03 AM

Personally, I would consider it fun when my budget is much greater than my losses or when I gamble with someone else's money, and this is something I would not do if I had no benefit in it.

I personally use money for my gambling budget, so it doesn't matter if I win or lose. Of course it would be very nice if you got more wins than losses. But I don't like to rely on small probabilities. Most gamblers definitely have more losses than wins. And if you don't use money for your daily needs I don't think it will be a problem. You're right that it's no fun if you lose your money. But if you think of gambling as entertainment, like buying tickets to Disneyland, or subscribing to Netflix and watching your favorite movies, isn't that the same thing? I personally think that I exchange my money for experience and fun, and I am not a gambling addict and do not make money by gambling.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer's fan took his own life due to addiction on: March 25, 2024, 08:35:51 AM
In my opinion, all those gambling streamers should be exterminated like the plague.  Most of them earn money by endorsing gambling platforms and streaming games with fake money, drawing in younger susceptible viewers vulnerable to addiction.  This is exactly why Twitch banned gambling livestreams.

I agree with you. Most gambling streamers cheat their viewers with big wins and 50%+ winrate. I see many gambling streamers who keep winning and we know gambling is about winning and losing. You can't make money from gambling. It's just for fun and if you hit the jackpot it's your bonus. The streamers seem to have collaborated with gambling sites to provide big wins and always get jackpots with big bets when they are streaming. If you say gambling streamers are a plague, then the sites that collaborate with them are also a plague because they try to cheat their viewers.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: March 25, 2024, 08:22:36 AM

And if he is addicted to gambling then I wouldn't be surprised if he can do it because addicts can't just stop because all they have in mind is playing and playing.

Gambling addiction will reduce productivity at work. I'm sure this will make your boss suspicious and one day they will find you gambling while working. And because you can't work optimally then of course your boss will fire you. I'm not sure your boss will give you a warning. Gambling addiction is a fatal mistake. I think no one wants their employees to be gambling addicts. Gambling addicts can cause bad things for companies such as fraud or embezzlement of company money. Therefore, don't be a gambler in your work environment.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which player are you? on: March 25, 2024, 07:57:48 AM
I prefer sport betting to any another form of gambling. Sport betting seem as though you are the one behind the winning and you made it possible without giving any credit to luck. When picking games from sport you are the predictor and whether you win or loose your bet it's up to you and your predictions but the true fact is that its centered on luck. However sport betting can be really fun especially when you have made your predictions and then waiting for the match to start and watch till the final whistle. Where I come from, we have special streaming centers fro football only, and we go there often to feel the vibe of club fans and their reactions when they concede, score or misses a goal.

I agree with you. In sports betting we are the predictors and we can discuss it with our friends. I think it's really fun. I can watch sports with my friends, enjoy the game and have a lot of fun waiting to bet on which of us is right. It's not the same as a casino that relies on luck and you can't form a group with your friends. Everyone has their own choices. And we are not addicted to gambling and do not spend a lot of money in sports betting. Because our goal is just to have fun.
