I don't think its all tied up in flawed hardware. Remember, they already said that they didn't purchase enough power supplies. Which means they didn't even use our money to even buy the components that they should have bought months and months ago! If the thought process was "well we want to get the prototype up first" , then they would not have bought all the power supplies, cases, cages, backplanes, etc. So they would have money to return.

Also, if they did have all the parts, they should have shipped all the kits quickly ! After all they said that the only missing piece was the power supply!

I paid via wire transfer and AMT has already stated they don't "keep" bitcoins but change it to USD immediately. So the deflation of BTC should not have hurt them.

They probably used our money to buy new houses, cars and partied with the rest.

I agree completely. They are buying parts to finish these miners on a one-off basis. Now we're supposed to believe that all the hold-ups were due to PSU's being unavailable/sold out? Pfffft! What a joke, they should have bought X amount of PSU's late last year after X amount of people pre-ordered miners. Just another lie brought to you by Joshua Zipkin.

Example: If 5 people threaten lawsuit, AMT buys 5 PSU's, scrambles to put the 5 miners together, and send them out. As for the rest of 'non-complaints', well that's money in Joshua's pocket. They will likely never see their miner. As for the rest of you fools opting for "DIY KITS" that are lacking PSU's, cables and who knows what else - congratulations, that's more free money for Joshua that he would've had to use on buying more parts to complete these miners.

Not to mention the $160 shipping upgrades that were paid as well. I can tell they really used that $160 upsale on shipping to package and expedite these miners (sarcasm).

They never bought all the hardware needed to plan on fulfilling X amount of miners ordered, because they never PLANNED on fulfilling all orders.

This is called being a thief.

I have to agree with you here.  The lack of planning is obvious.

AMT seems to react only when there is a complaint lauched.   Otherwise, they will ignore their customer until they start making noise.  Notice how we keep on seeing new folks arriving in this thread asking what happened to their order.

From the Bitmine thread:

We're working hardly on it, the power density is so high that it makes engineering very challenging and we want it to hit 3TH/s. Next week we'll get the final run of the rig's mainboard (had to be re-engineered 3 times) and we should be announcing the mass production by then. I would like to point out that the rig's hashing unit's are working and are being already produced, the issue is only related to the mainboard which is a much simpler board and as such can be produced very quickly once the prototype is fixed.

So not 100% sure what 'mainboard' is meant here, but if they mean its the backplane... then a fix is on its way.

Also from that thread...  looks like they have an upgrade of the firmware.

AMT miners work with different settings than the coincraft miners. While their firmware MIGHT work, its not a guarantee. Its one of those at your own risk situations.....but then the DIY kits are kind of that already.

Here's the reality though,  it has been over 2 months since the promised delivery date and all we have are DIY kits (with missing parts in my case)!

Of course but also as real is the fact that unless this is checked out first before just installing, it could cause whats left of the miner to burst into flames if things like voltage settings and such are not taken into account when powering it up. Alot can go wrong with an untested version of software. That said, I did see you asked about AMT hardware. So if the answer is positive there then maybe its doable. Hopefully they reply with a good answer on that.

I did ask their support that I had an AMT system and needed a backplane.  They said they would ship me one.

So clearly from Bitmine's perspective,  AMT systems appear to be identical from the backplane interface.   Now since the chips are all the same.... it is likely that the Firmware should work too.

Hopefully they sending me the latest version of the Bitmine backplane.

At this time, for those who have miners from AMT,  we need to start building a relationship with Bitmine since it is highly likely that AMT will not be around in the future.

Yes we need to be more transparent, but for the moment our attorneys have advised us to basically do the opposite until they meet with the lawyers next door to us. We are trying to figure out refund options as well as several other options for our current and future clients.

Advise your attorneys that you have miners out here that don't work and we need support.

The lawyers next door are the least of their problems.

Still waiting for my backplane and cable that you said you would ship last Monday.

They also told me they would ship a cable, since I got a bad one. I of course took it upon myself to order one of my own volition knowing that if I did ever receive one it would likely be months from now and in non working order.

Now I'm just wondering if this is utter stupidity.  They know that you have a Delaware county complaint,  so they ship you a miner without a necessary cable.

They know that I have a Delaware county complaint, not only do they not ship me a cable and a back plane,  they ship it in a very flimsy package that gets major damage when it arrives.

What gives?  Do they really want the District Attorney on their case?

My post has been deleted by AMT.

AMT,can you response my email ? thank you.

We may need to have a new AMT User Thread.
947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann] Safecoin maidsafecoin on: April 25, 2014, 11:22:38 PM
Is there any more information yet on farming?  Now that the coins are launched it would be nice to setup a vault / farm to earn more...

Maidsafecoin is just a temporary coin until they get the actual system deployed.

Maidsafecoin gets traded 1 to 1 with safecoin when that happens.

So there is no farming till then.

However, doesn't prevent folks from designing and selling hardware for farming!

Looks like starting prices for these farms are at $5,000 with 45 empty storage units.   Fully loaded with 4TB drives... 180 TB TOTAL storage ... will cost you $5,000 + $7380 = $12,380!

Run the numbers and see how much safecoin you can make in a year with this setup.

But also remember that the numbers given in the white paper are based off 2000 running nodes. so if there was to be 16,000 nodes, which at this point is completely possible considering the attention it has gotten and the fact any person interested in crypto mining on their computer can also run this without using any extra electricity or drain their computer. If the number is 16000 or over nodes you looking at 100 a day not 800.

just a warning, because the amount of attention and funding they received which they completely didn't expect will most likely have been applied to the whitepaper numbers as well. and considering its popularity already, i would say 20,000 nodes is a massive under estimation. and the numbers given out on the white paper are for 2000.

Well the Proof of Resource would be a equation that will include availability and amount of storage.  I don't think the number of running nodes comes into the equation.

I just heard over the radio on NPR that cloud storage solutions are increasing by 30% every year.  One of the big problems is when the cloud company is taken down by the government (see: Megaupload) or gone bankrupt.  So Safecoin actually does satisfy a real need in the space of cloud computing.

I suggest everyone stop trying to get their masterwallet up and running and just sit tight with your safecoins for a few months.

As long as you control your private keys to your BTC address you can retrieve your Safecoin at a later date.
There is no real advantage to "claiming" your safecoins just yet. Unless you are a dickhole who just wants to turn around and sell them.

Lastly, your safecoins have already been deposited at your BTC address on the MSC blockchain. There is no need to get the wallet running to do anything. The wallets will become more user friendly as time goes on.

I'll be honest,  I would be scared to death to have all my coins held on a single address.   Safer to have it spread out to multiple addresses.

However,  how do I get that done?

Thanks for the update Giorgio, 3 TH/s would be a most welcome surprise!  Look forward to more updates as soon as they become available.

What are they talking about here?  3 TH/s using the same 1 TH/s or is this an entirely new system?

Yes everyone who joined nem by mistake and now think it is not a good idea.

At your discretion, you mean, right?  I still want my stake, but you are forcefully kicking me out.

Shocking news;

2Kool4Skewl has been banned from Bitcointalk.

What a beautiful day !!!!!! I would dance if I could Grin

Do you have 'Proof of Ban' on this?

Can anyone recommend the mastercoin wallet I should use to receive and transfer my maidsafe coins?

https://test.omniwallet.org
Does not give me any warm and fuzzies with it says 'alpha'!

Tested the omniwallet... does not show the MSAFE coins that are in my address.

Only Masterchest.info shows the coins.

AGAIN... what wallet works with MSAFE?

thats another thing, 70% of investors can NOT trade maidsaifcoins YET because the most wallets are not compatible by now (like masterchest which has the majority used). Guess what? The insiders have invested with wallets they are compatible and they can sell NOW! Now while the demand is higher than the suply (we) because everybody can buy with BTC but not sell if he is not capable to transfer their coins yet! When the demand dissapears after some days or weeks then I would guess that magicaly  v0.4 that is maidsafe compatible will be available...  Tongue

I call bullshit.

I've never used Mastercoin in my life, but in a little over an hour of forum searches, I was able to figure out how to use Omni wallet to transfer my MSAFE coins. It is a pain in the ass, but certainly isn't impossible.

TIP: Omni will not transfer to a bitcoin address whose public key is not visible. In other words, you can only send to an address that has spent bitcoin in the past.

TIP2: https://i.imgur.com/oe4joOa.png

I have send via masterchest for windows v0.3 and I can see my coins on masterchest.info but not on Omni... Any suggestion to see them on Omni so I can transfer them?

I call bullshit on the poster who said 'I call bullshit'.

I hear you re alpha. Had exactly the same fears myself. It needs a little patience, a few deep breaths, and a few little dust tests, and it will deliver.

Theres some friction/glitches with Omni to overcome, but in the last 24hrs ive managed to receive, send, add private keys, send between two addresses in the wallet, and send MSC + MSAFE + BTC from the same address.

Keep calm, and carry on.  Smiley

Not really worried here.

Just post back when you get omni finally working correctly.

Speaking about AMT....

On the legal side, it appears that it is going to get very ugly pretty soon.

Then you should have no problem paying the 40 bucks in shipping as you indicated you wpuld do before I sent it.

geez. I try to help a fellow board member out with an extra part that was sent to me and I still get screwed.

This community sucks.

I suggest you read again the PM that we exchanged.

Fact is,  I'm still sitting here with a large brick because I don't have the cable that AMT also forgot to send.

The PM where you asked me how you could pay?

The other issues you have are not my problem.

You sir are an ass. If you didn't want to pay for it you shouldn't have offered to pay for shipping. I tried to help you out and now this?

People like you make the world a worse place.

Where did I say that you won't be paid for shipping the backplane?Huh   Now you're freaking out about it?    Sheesh.... to be clear... I will pay you for shipping the backplane.   Now chill out!

There... sent you $40... https://blockchain.info/tx/27defe69ed2bc46cb2b0d01bdf07396e2f6f0f7e8d009288bd39e9e966b36772

Most of us don't need to hide behind multiple usernames......I would need you to address this issue before I could even begin to have any sort of trust in you. Also I am waiting to see what happens with crypto rush if they are going to refund our ztc among other coins. If they make off with a large portion of the coins then its game over. I know I had over 50,000 ztc with them.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread,  ZenithCoin (ZTC) is administered by new owners.  I don't know their user name is this forum.

I have also no idea of what happened to cryptorush.  I did not have any coins with them when they fell a part so I have no reason or motivation to try to follow up.  I removed all my coins from their exchange when it was first reported that they were insolvent.

I suggest you send them a message about the ZTC wallet.
