one card mined at 0ghs!!!! ZERO, NADA, ZILCH, FUCK ALL i used the "software" changed a few settings of the card and bingo card pulls 200ghs+/- pool and amt screen. that was my point. a dead board that wouldnt mine was revived!!!!! whats hard to comprehend? now if it was doa in the sense its missing chips or generally fucked then yes software will not fix that.

but if it shows up whaen you type

cgminer -DT

as 5x a1 chip chains detected then you may be able to tweak it to revive the board

if you have problems with your hardware i.e one/two or more boards not mining throuh the amt splash web gui thing do the following

log into your miner via putty or an hdmi cable direct into the pi. much easier through the putty method as you can scroll

then type killall cgminer it may or may not display something, if not it killed it, if it says no process it was already dead

next type cgminer -DT exactly as typed it will display a load of info then say no pool details specified

it will display something like a1 chip chain detected 8 chips. then loads of stuff and at the end of each chains info will say something like 8 chips detected 256 actice cores, or less as 256 is the max cores
this should repeat as many times as you have boards. i believe the first set of info is the furthest board from the ribon working left to right..

now if it saye a1 chip detected
no a1 chip
a1 chip detected
no a1 chip
a1 chip detected
and you have 3 boards happy days all 3 show
if on the other hand you have 5 boards and get the no a1 chip chain detected your board is not responding

if thats the case i dont think it can be fixed.

but if it say a1 chip chain detected and at the lower section says 8 chips detected less than 250 cores then its not functioning correctly but may be able to be fixed.

it will also output each chip per card so something like

chip1 32 cores
chip2 32 and so on. if a chip fails cores it will say

weak chip detected 10 cores threshold 32 or something very similar

i wish i had screen shots to hand but as my miner is at another persons house its hard to get.

Next week we'll get the final run of the rig's mainboard (had to be re-engineered 3 times) and we should be announcing the mass production by then. I would like to point out that the rig's hashing unit's are working and are being already produced, the issue is only related to the mainboard which is a much simpler board and as such can be produced very quickly once the prototype is fixed.

So not 100% sure what 'mainboard' is meant here, but if they mean its the backplane... then a fix is on its way.

Also from that thread...  looks like they have an upgrade of the firmware.

AMT miners work with different settings than the coincraft miners. While their firmware MIGHT work, its not a guarantee. Its one of those at your own risk situations.....but then the DIY kits are kind of that already.

Here's the reality though,  it has been over 2 months since the promised delivery date and all we have are DIY kits (with missing parts in my case)!

Of course but also as real is the fact that unless this is checked out first before just installing, it could cause whats left of the miner to burst into flames if things like voltage settings and such are not taken into account when powering it up. Alot can go wrong with an untested version of software. That said, I did see you asked about AMT hardware. So if the answer is positive there then maybe its doable. Hopefully they reply with a good answer on that.

It has been 3 weeks now since I got my miner.... it has not been runniing because of missing parts.

Are you going to compensate me for the 3 weeks that I am unable to mine?

It may be an ass-backwards way to get them but have you tried PM'ing Phin to get the parts from his miner? Considering he does not mine, might actually be useful for that.

Well, I pinged Bitmine, and they claim that they are sending me the backplane.

Yes, you did send me one, and I did get it.  However,  I'm still missing a cable, so AMT claims to be sending me one with a blackplane.   Bitmine also claims to be sending me a backplane.  So everyone delivers their claim, then I'll have 3 backplanes. 

It however is not B.S. that I am still waiting... I don't have the cable.   Backplane is nice, but they also forgot to send me the cable.     I have also 2 physical damaged boards and am now afraid to send them back since it appears that AMT is not accepting packages from FEDEX.

Then you should have no problem paying the 40 bucks in shipping as you indicated you wpuld do before I sent it.

Our advice is not to use the bitmine options as our manufacturer chose to produce our hardware not exactly the same way.

There are default settings which we had to be create in order to get a percentage of these boards to work based on the swapped components which were used.

Now that is bullshit because it makes it sound like they were going to offer you a refund before. If anything deserves a refund it's a smashed to fuck product due to their incompetent packaging for shipping. It's with that right there that they've truly fucked themselves. As for contacting the DAs office that is about the only real action that might get them singing a different tune. Criminal charges are an entirely different ball game from civil charges.

I did just get a call from the delaware county consumer affairs department today, but I was at therapy so I didn't get to talk to them. Seems like I'll have some interesting information to share with them on monday as well. I would have withdrawn my complaint but they sent me non-working hardware so there you go. Now I'll be sure to let them know what's been shared by other people who have received non-working hardware as well. Perhaps they can get in contact with the delaware county DA. Or even move it up somewhere higher in the state. And I guess there isn't much of a point sending my boards for RMA if there isn't any one to take possession of them.

I wonder if they are in violation of any contract they had with bitmine.ch, it would be a shame to see them brought up on international charges as well. Looks like they'll just have to lay in the bed they've made for themselves.

I wonder if I can sell this miner on Ebay. I'd do so with full disclosure that three of the boards are experiencing issues that a more technical person may well be able to cope with, likely in resulting from a voltage issue. I'll see what I can get and see if it's enough to by a close to comparable amount of cloud hashing power to what I would have received with my original order. Or at the very least more than I'm getting with my two running boards. Then I'll see how the class action pans out. I'd still be eligible for the class as I didn't receive what I ordered, or even what was compromised upon in kit form.

Now I'm just wondering if this is utter stupidity.  They know that you have a Delaware county complaint,  so they ship you a miner without a necessary cable.

They know that I have a Delaware county complaint, not only do they not ship me a cable and a back plane,  they ship it in a very flimsy package that gets major damage when it arrives.

What gives?  Do they really want the District Attorney on their case?
