941  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: turtlehurricane is deleting most of his post history and editing his old posts on: September 29, 2015, 12:23:30 PM
All of the above trust ratings are libel. It is both morally unjust and illegal if these trust ratings are not revised to include the entire situation. The loans were not paid on the due date, however I have been in contact with the lenders and repaying, 5 BTC so far and 0.1 BTC per day. KWH, master-P, EcuaMobi, and Vod need to revise the trust comments. They can say anything they want and leave it red as long as it includes the whole truth. This is not legally a default so different terminology is required.

I don't see how "Never deal with this user without a trusted user of this forum as escrow. Never lend without collateral." is libel. You defaulted several loans and are deleting  posts which is suspicious. Therefore I recommend everyone to deal with you using escrow and to lend only with valid collateral.

I'm not saying whether or not you're repaying or will repay (I don't know the future) and the reference links to a thread where you can post to keep everyone updated.
942  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Needed Trusted Member PP on: September 28, 2015, 05:53:41 PM
Hello

I needed One trusted Member Email address of PP account, To who I can Send Payment. Im Working For Someone, Privatelly, and He, dont have BTC. He want to Pay me PP, At regular Interval, But I dont have PP, I need someones PP Address, So that I can Receive PP From him.

thanks
That anonymous person ('He') needs to be extremely trusted for this to work, not the owner of this PP account you're looking for. Even if you guarantee you will pay back if 'He' charges back no one should make this deal, you're not trusted enough. Just lock this thread.

if the guy chargeback later then who will responsible for this? he can chargeback anytime within 60 days that is hard for someone to wait
why don't you create your own paypal account?
Actually it's 180 days.

944  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [Need] 3 BTC loan on: September 24, 2015, 11:24:53 AM
The loan has been defaulted. I've offered OP more time and new conditions to repay but he refused. I insisted and he just stop replying so I'm giving up.
I'm taking the collateral and I wouldn't recommend dealing with him.

Why just you two guys do not settle down a bit?
You took a collateral, as he did not repaid so why are you both so negative with reputation?

I mean if you give a loan, you take collateral if loan not retuend. No need for any other glamour flames.

He agreed to repay the loan, the deal was to have my money back plus interests. That wasn't fulfilled despite my offer to extend the time. As a result I find OP is untrustworthy, which is reflected with the negative feedback.

I really don't know why he left the negative trust too. I don't see how he can consider me untrustworthy as I've been open to make a deal and still am. Unfortunately OP has been ignoring my PMs.

946  Other / Meta / Re: Umm so I thought if I could change my username on: September 21, 2015, 11:12:31 AM
AFAIK you need a very strong reason or a very small change. For example my original username was 'ecuamobi' (lowercase) and asked Theymos to change it to my current 'EcuaMobi'. I guess he agreed because it didn't cause confusion. I was just full member or so at the time.

He also changed some usernames because they were causing a bug. Other than that it's very difficult to happen.
Hmm but wouldn't it be the same as changing the whole username just adding some extra seconds to type the letters? I mean once theymos does decide that a username change can be granted any username change should be quite easy.

You are right, whether theymos has time is an extra factor besides the 2 I mentioned. So you need to make a small change and be lucky that theymos has time to apply it. But even if he has time most probably he'll refuse if the chance may cause confusion (unless you have a very good reason).

I don't mean it has to be small because it takes less time but because it doesn't cause confusion and the change can't be used to troll.

948  Economy / Auctions / Re: Bitcoins.ninja - This domain is for sale! on: September 19, 2015, 10:36:16 PM
I bid $10 as long as we trade using a very trusted user from this forum as escrow.
You can choose anyone from this list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0

Please confirm.

I accept: Escrow.com, Paypal or Bitcoins (direct payment to my wallet).

So you're refusing to use a trusted member of this forum as escrow? In that case I withdraw my offer. I wouldn't recommend anyone to deal with OP.

That (4) and [5] won't go away and keep increasing with new messages.
There are several strange things with the forum at the moment. I guess they're all related and will be fixed soon enough.

Same thing is happening with me except I have the number 3.  Kinds messing up the trade I had going with EcuaMobi Sad  EcuaMobi, I have to head off now, will send you the BTC tomorrow (I didn't get an address from you)

P.s. did you get all the PMs I sent you?  Something up with the messaging system right now.

I can't read any new messages. It's OK we can continue tomorrow. Check my email in my profile if PMs still don't work by then.
I guess this is the same DB issue that is affecting everything. I hope theymos can fix it soon.

952  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling $40 USD BTC for $45 USD PP (Trusted/Reputable Traders ONLY) on: September 18, 2015, 02:22:53 AM
I can do this. But I don't have balance there so I would use my CC, I cover PayPal fees. I've made several PP deals in the past.

Alright that's fine. I'll PM you my paypal ID.

Sent and received. Thanks for an easy trade.

954  Other / Meta / Re: Invisible character in usernames / Those usernames are being added to trust list on: September 18, 2015, 12:57:24 AM
Confirmed same here when I checked this morning, but now I don't see the same behavior.  Was some fix implemented?  I also noticed that poster number 3 in this thread went from a username of the empty string to a username of "bad_char1".

I sent a PM to theymos and BadBear with a list of accounts with that character asking them to rename (or delete) those accounts. Maybe they did because of that or realized it by themselves. I also noticed those accounts were temporarily under theymos' trust list so I guess he was checking it. My fake account was also renamed to bad_char13. It seems to be working fine now.
955  Other / Meta / Re: Disable invisible character from usernames on: September 17, 2015, 07:18:19 PM
I've added your account manually and the last 3 lines were auto added.
(Ps: I don't intend to distrust you, it was about something else Smiley )
I was asking because if I manually type this:

I automatically get this:

My main account is excluded and those blank accounts are included! So it's concerning if the first can appear automatically and the second is one 'Update' click away. Although maybe you got my fake account just because you had added my real account before anyway. Can an admin check into this?
956  Other / Meta / Re: Disable invisible character from usernames on: September 17, 2015, 07:01:46 PM
Hmm, yeah it seems at the moment that tweaking my trust list causes a bunch of ~ to appear.

Yes the same happens here :/ If I enter just 'DefaultTrust' and hit save I get this:

Damn, that's why I see the last 3 names (that automatically added) on my trust list:
https://i.imgur.com/oXoouhN.png

Did you get those 3 last lines automatically?
Besides that did you exclude my (real) account manually or was it added automatically too?
957  Other / Meta / Re: Disable invisible character from usernames on: September 17, 2015, 05:39:20 PM
I've reported this bug like 2 years ago.
EcuaMobi is always on something unique..
anyways I had already reported such cases in 2014 when i joined here..
even if you use few characters that are not supported by SMF , it will work the same as you wrote in op.

I didn't realize about this until today, I guess I'm late then but it's worth pushing the subject. Only basic characters that are guaranteed to be visible on every charset should be allowed for usernames.
I noted this character is completely invisible in my Chrome but I can see it in the titlebar of Firefox (although not on the page itself). It surely depends on the browser, language and specific used charset.
958  Other / Meta / [Solved] Invisible character in usernames / Being added to trust list on: September 17, 2015, 05:20:21 PM
Lately several users have created apparently blank usernames (on several encodings, not all of them) using the character
Code:
URL-encoded version:
Code:
%C2%9D

This character can also be used to impersonate another user by appending it at the end (or other position) which can cause security problems. It should be explicitly forbidden to use.

To test it I created this fake account of myself:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=555622

In the meanwhile be extremely careful when trading with newbies with accounts matching older members.
959  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Skype person mon.bux tried to scam me from finding me on this forum on: September 17, 2015, 03:59:31 PM
User mon.bux added me to skype and said he would trade 190$ for 0.82308092 BTC

He asked for my paper wallet on blockchain, I am fairly new but didnt realise it had my password and private key on.

He logged into my wallet and created a watch only address. He then sent to this address and asked me to send him skrill after I had just deposited just over 5000 USD to skrill for the larger deposit and I proved this to him via image.

He asked me to check my wallet and I seen the 190$ was there but it was watch only, I read up and this means its not mine to withdraw. so I think he sent it to his own address to try and scam me.

The address he sent it to was: 1V8q2HtYPpq5ZEhPkj6JHv6SASQ2Y1tDW

https://blockchain.info/address/1V8q2HtYPpq5ZEhPkj6JHv6SASQ2Y1tDW

his skype name is mon.bux His Bitcointalk username is kamilora https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=551042

our chat history on skype. Martin is obviously me.

http://pastebin.com/asaW7Jr2

Beware of this scammer, he wont use escrow.

How do you know he's kamilora in the forum? Did he PM'd you here giving you that Skype account? You should include that too if he did.
Also a screenshot of the watch-only address would help (although it can be easily edited).
