I've never watched Chelsea play so well like they've done thus far against the Manchester City side. They are playing so well like a team, have had very few chnaces on target but, those chances where so precisely created, missed such great chances like the one with N. Jackson but you can find them finding away to always go forward and having a well coordinated backline. All that have turned put to be very resourceful especially those runs from the side that catches the Manchester City defence unaware, enabling Chelsea to create those one on one goal opportunities with the goalkeeper and Sterling has got his goal. The final whistle is gone and Chelsea takes the lead in halftime. Yes, is as if Chelsea had a different spirit today against Manchester City, maybe it's because it's a big game so they need to prove themselves, However Chelsea have been able to destabilize Manchester City attacking Force this evening at least for these first half. The goal would have been more than one goal for this first half if not for the chances Chelsea missed. I am not here to discuss the economic hardship that our failing naira is putting on the citizens of the country, I am sure the matter is already discussed in some other threads. I am here to discuss the projections for our naira against the dollar.
In our wildest imaginations, we never would have imagined a time where One dollar will be the equivalent of N1,600 of our naira.
N1,500 was almost seen as the height it will get to, but now we are approaching N2,000 a dollar, and I also do not think that it will be the stop, In maybe the second quarter of the year, I predict one dollar to be almost the equivalent of N2,500 because our government seems to be clueless on what to do. It was not even this bad under the PMB administration.

First we need to understand that government must prioritize productivity, local production will help to boost our economy because you will consume what you produce. One of the strongest problems we are facing with our naira is the fact that most of the things we consume in Nigeria are all imported, hence you are heavily dependent on other countries for your own livelihood, it then means your currency will lose value on the international market. Government and citizens have a good role to play for us to reach a sustainable economic system, government must declared a state of emergency on productivity with the political will to make sure it comes into fruition. government should make sure they encourage local SMEs and also encourage farmers too. Hence we begin to produce what we eat and as well import some of the products we have, then over time we will begin to see a level at which the naira will begin to appreciate against the dollar. So if we are really serious to fight inflation and other economic crisis that we are facing, we need to go into serious industrialization and productivity. |

From my opinion, I think there isn’t any need to stake or risk one’s money on a game simply because you want to catch fun when you could simply not risk your money and still have fun while watching same game. There are a whole lot of reasons why people gamble and I think the major reason is to make profit, the betting company on their own end would want to advertise that if you're a good predictor, they are capable of giving you good amount of money based on what you predicted and if your predictions are correct, they pay you. So most people go for winning the big price and that is basically for profit making. Firstly, I’ve created an account before and was restricted from making posts without knowing what the offence was. At same time, was asked to pay for something i literally know nothing about .

The EPL title is for the main clubs and not some random mediocre teams. Liverpool must not lose any games for the purpose to win, which is a major hurdle for them. Manchester City are the favorites this season, and I can say that I am confident for Manchester City to win the trophy this season again because of how their performance has been since the return of their key players to the pitch. Although I had hope for Liverpool before the return of their key players, right now, with the way City's performance is going, I don't see Arsenal or Liverpool as the favorites again because Manchester City are now back, although before I was thinking Arsenal or Liverpool would take the trophy.

I have been hearing stories on Video Assistant Referee which is popularly known as VAR errors and and people are complaining that VAR is not doing well again so they should remove it while some are saying it is meant to favor one team over the other. And I can also noticed that in the 2022 world cup. And I saw this  And I also made research on Google and I saw more errors from VAR so I was also thinking that will the Artificial intelligence AI will takeover the position of VAR to give accurate results from the pitch? And today I have seen this again. There is another story again. Joe Mourinho also advised the European Football Union to handover VAR to CAF because according to him CAF used VAR very correctly than the European league.  So what is your day on this matter. Will AI takeover VAR? One thing you must understand is the fact that video assistant referee(VAR) is to help and assist the referee on the beach against some actions he might not see clearly, these method was adopted to help reduce injustices and fouls that may happen on the peace without the referee taking cognizance, however VAR is not 100% perfect in its accuracy but I bet you VAR is at least 85% accurate in it's judgement. As a football lover over the years I can confidently tell you that VAR has reduced the rate of off side goals, tackle's that the referee didn't see properly or properly gave an earlier wrong judgement on, and a whole lot more things VAR has helped World football. VAR may not be perfect but with time it will move towards perfection. No doubt, criticisms like these are some of the prerequisites ingredients that VAR needs to correct some of those abnormalities they have but there is absolutely no need to bring in AI into world football. |

Increasing the minimum wage of workers doesn't solve the inflation problem it's just a surface amelioration but deep down it multiplies the inflation effect when the actual economic issues that leads to inflation hasn't be tackled yet.
Like you rightly said in the Op yes, there will be increase in prices of goods and services by marketers immediately it's announced that minimum wage of workers has been increased because they assume that that's the only way they too can benefit from the increase through a responsive increment in commodities. I think elevating the minimum wage without correspondent resolution to tackling the main economic causes of inflation only makes the country currency to further lose more value in the market.
Mean while the increase in minimum wage is one major factor use to increase the purchasing powers of citizen's, so should we not increase wages because of the prevailing inflations that is damaging the economy. However I agree with some of your points in terms of corresponding resolution in terms of productivity and tackling the root cause of inflation, still it doesn't take the place of wage increase. |
