941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much electricity does bitcoin need? on: July 29, 2018, 07:48:25 AM
Who owns the reliable information that the network bitcoin uses more than 80% of the countries separately electricity. Bitcoin also multiplied by several times the amount of energy consumed in the last year. Is this really true, who will say? So there are thoughts that bitcoin in a couple of years will be a threat to the energy situation on the planet?

Not really. I think bitcoin mining electricity cost doesn't spend that much. Now we have many ASIC miners for bitcoin. ASIC is more effective than GPU.
The energy consumption relative small if you compare with the very high hash rate in ASIC. So, i think the energy of the earth will be okay.

944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC follows the BTC trend on: July 27, 2018, 01:44:44 PM
Like BTC trends , i usually see always LTC follows the BTC trends , Do you agree ?

last year we have seen it , Price of BTC increases similarly LTC price too increased

In my opinion, LTC is the lite version of BTC, so it is no wonder that if LTC following the BTC price.
There are some other coins that following btc price as well. Now cryptocurrency price is recovering in the market from few days ago.
945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MEW was error on: July 27, 2018, 01:25:41 PM
Yesterday (Jully 17), when I opened MEW link, I  didn't asscess . About 30 mins later, I asscessed  but website have problem. I didn't do anything and anything was mixed .
after I deleted some of data and reset my computer. It became normal.
What happend? Is it dangerous ?

Maybe you can stop using MEW again from now. MEW is easy to use, but the security is very common.
You can easily phished if you not careful enough. Instead using MEW, why not using metamask ?
or if you have some money, you can buy hardwallet like trezor or ledger.

947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using ETH for? on: July 26, 2018, 08:52:14 AM
What have you been using your ETH for?

For trading
To buy ICO
For long term investment
Other - explain

i am doing 2 of your options with my ETH, trading and buy ICO. Both of them are risky.
When you trading your coin, it means you must buy when it low, and sell when high.
Buying ICO tokens is not profitable in a short time, you must have patience to keep holding the tokens.
948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: seling or holding your altcoin ? on: July 26, 2018, 08:30:53 AM
as price is going down what is the best stredigy for for altcoin

When the price going down, of course you must hold your altcoin if you don't want to lose your money.
Some altcoins like ETH, NEO, XRP etc, are good enough to hold when market bear.
Except you hold some useless coin, just sell it when the price falling.
949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to minimize the risk of being scammed. on: July 26, 2018, 07:50:07 AM
After reading their whitepaper then ask yourself these questions:
1. Does the document make sense to you? (Did you get a picture of the whole idea they are talking about?)
2. Is project going to provide any real solution to any problem? (scam projects usually provide vague solutions which normally does not point out the blockchain aspect in it)
3. Is the document having original contents (scam projects usually copy people's work)
4. How old is their official website (most scam projects usually have new websites)
5. What has the team done already towards the project.(scam projects usually do not have any detailed roadmap)
6. Check the team's profile on linkedIn and also their number of connections. (fake ones usually have low and no real connections.)
7. Check the token distribution. Is there equity and equality? (the scam ones usually allocate higher percentages to the team)
8. Did they give any abnormal price speculations? (i joined one bounty(Crestonium) who promised 3 times profit within 6 months else they are going to refund investors monies back to them. They ended up being a scam)

No matter how vigilant you are, you can still get scammed but at least, you can reduce the risk of being scammed. Enjoy your day

Of course always perform due diligence before you start to investing in any kind of project investment.
Thank you for the points you write here, it helping some peoples who doesn't know what to find out.
I usually checking their developers profile and their planning.
950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you think of currency what will come to your mind? on: July 25, 2018, 04:22:32 AM
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) just recently posted a picture that shows the evolution of money that people have used since the beginning of human civilization. Will IMF consider Bitcoin as a new currency?

I think currency is a unit we used for trading something precious. If we talk about cryptocurrency, bitcoin will come into my mind.
Why ? because bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency in our world. Many altcoins has been created because of bitcoin.
951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ❗❗ Friendly Reminder: SECURE. YOUR. ASSETS. on: July 25, 2018, 03:43:47 AM
Securing your own asset is not easy, you need to find a way to protect your wallet from scammers and hackers.
For securing your coins, you need a good wallet to do transactions, otherwise you still have a possibility to getting phished or hacked.
952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How well does Bitcoin function as a currency? on: July 25, 2018, 03:19:34 AM
Successful currencies meet three criteria:

(1) they are in widespread use as medium of exchange
(2) they serve as unit of account
(3) they are a stable store of value.

Most sovereign currencies fully meet all three criteria.

What about Bitcoin?

I think bitcoin as a currency still not very well done in cryptocurrency world. Bitcoin often used as an investment instrument, or trading.
You can see the volume of bitcoin in the exchange, it is very huge. I think this is because many peoples trades bitcoin.
953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH is the next generation of BTC? on: July 24, 2018, 06:44:38 AM
Right now, price of ETH is low, is there again rise in the ETH ?  I can see eth going above bitcoin because of combination between drop in the price of bitcoin and increase in the price of eth.

ETH is not the next generation of BTC. I like to consider LTC is the other version of bitcoin because it has same algo, but with fast speed.
About ETH, for now indeed it is low on the market. But this is because the entire market of crypto still on the bottom.
Once the crypto market rise, ETH and other coins will increase as well.
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Research Ico on: July 24, 2018, 06:28:54 AM
How, do you make your own research ?

Well, you need to do some research in their background company, team profiles, advisors, and their planning in the roadmap.
More research about their project, their token supply and price, and some other stuff as a complement. This is aim to make you safe from scammer.
955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best competitors to Ethereum? on: July 23, 2018, 07:49:44 AM
Which are the best competitors to Ethereum, and why do you think so?

(I know on top of my head that Cardano and IOTA try to challenge Ethereum,
although they still haven't proved much from my understanding?)

I thought the best competitor of ETH is EOS, but now i am a little confused about EOS RAM trading.
The ETH smart contract is the best for doing multiple transactions in eth network. But the problem is eth network often congested because some peoples using the gas fee too high. If some new coins want to compete with ETH, they must have smart contract, and the fast network.
956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to buy Eth? on: July 23, 2018, 07:16:53 AM
Newbie here... I've been thinking about buying my first crypto. I think I want to buy ETH, but wondering if I missed the boat already?

Primarily I'm choosing ETH because I think there are less foreseeable limitations than BTC, and it seems like ETH is basically accepted everywhere BTC is. Plus its cheaper  Grin

Is now a good time to buy it? Should I wait?

for now, it seems still a good time to buy ETH and accumulate more before the bull run start in this year.
because what i know, the market of crypto in from the beginning of this year was bad, and even until now, still on the bottom.
So, if we buy a good coin like ETH now, we can expect the bull run later.
957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you think alt coin market will crash? on: July 23, 2018, 07:03:00 AM
Some people think it won't crash, other has been saying "tomorrow" for the past years.

But looking at the gains the last few months its hard to see this continuing for years to come. Can there be a long (3-6 months) bear market now to correct or is crypto too hot and will increase crazy up til implosion?

I'm thinking maybe 6-12 months of crypto craze left. Then crash (90% of coins loose 90% of value) and a few years of bear market before successful crypto projects starts making money. Pretty much .com again.

What do you think?

I think the market won't crash, it is only a correction that have to be made so the cryptocurrency price is not too high in the market.
The 2018's bear market still continuing even now. But now, the price of bitcoin is slightly increase on the market although the altcoins price still the same.
958  Other / Off-topic / Re: Someone told me those who invest in bitcoin are occults. on: July 22, 2018, 10:30:32 AM
I received the shock of my life when someone asked me for an investment advice and Ii told her that the future of all time investment is to invest in bitcoin.Seriously she told him that is for occult people and she will not consider that option.I tried all angles but it did not work.So I came to a conclusion that some people cannot to rich due to over religious believes.views

Seems like the false religious believe is the limitation that can restrain peoples from the wealth.
Occult and bitcoin is very far in difference. Many peoples say bitcoin is ponzi or bubbles, but occult ? This is the weirdest thing i have seen today.
959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to reinvest into ETH? on: July 21, 2018, 07:52:00 AM
I hopeall of us are eagerly waiting for the bullrun a similar one which we have experienced last year ? Most profitable investment was ethreum and I am just wondering if it's going to be the same this year? Is it the right time to reinvest into ethreum?

Reinvest in ETH is not a bad choice, ETH is the most well known altcoin in the cryptocurrency world.
Another good thing about reinvest in ETH is, you can reinvest your ETH into some good ICO.
Investing in ICO usually bring you many profit, but if you only invest in the right and real ICO.
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are. You leaving crypto? on: July 21, 2018, 07:45:12 AM
I am seriously considering it.
There is no future in a small market cap that is pumped and dumped!

In addition, trading bots are running the show: milking everyone!

Not at all. Pumping and dumping in crypto market is a common thing.
if the market dumping, you just need to buy more and accumulate them in your wallet.
when it pumping, you can sell it for instant profit, don't bother to holding it if you don't want to.
