If you have any valid reasons not to trust "this company", not just assumptions, please, share them here

Im a satisfied customer that thinks that the positives of your service heavily outnumber the negatives, but since you want people to share reasons to not trust your company and are willing to discuss them:

Why is your site so secretive, lacking real contact info like addresses and telephones, and details of the parties and methods involved in order to offer your service? Why dont you explain how it works? Why dont you name mychoice or any other partners involved? Especially since mychoice is a known and trustworthy bank/card issuer that partners with other similar services.

Like I wrote on an earlier post, If I didnt read and knew about people who had ordered cards and succesfuly used them, I would probably think that your site was a scam. Im probably not the only one who gets that impression from your site. Why dont you fix this, or explain the reasons that make you not disclose this info?

thank you for your comments - will analyse and try to action upon them.

In brief:
- we only provide support via e-mail, and the e-mail, and there is a contact form and support@e-coin e-mails openly available on the website. It would be very hard, if possible at all, to deal with 90% of the requests we get via telephone, hence, no telephone numbers provided.
- MyChoice (WaveCrest Holdings) is mentioned in the Ts&Cs when you are ordering the card. Maybe we should advertise it more, not sure
- Other partners, such as BitGo is openly advertised on the home page and in the "Partners" section
- What do you mean by explaining how it works? A better description of the service than the one available?

Would really appreciate your inputs..

I personally don't see a need to use this card myself. There's a coffee shop that has a bitcoin ATM not too far away from my house. I can also use one of the many face-to-face exchanges in my city to convert crypto to cash. Considering the other posts in this thread, I wouldn't want to trust this companny with my money anyway.

Thank you for your comments.
Everyone is different. Not everyone has a bitcoin ATM around the corner. Plus, the fees at bitcoin ATM will be several times higher. Face-to-face is a good way, but how much time do you need to spend from the moment you decide to make an exchange until you have the dollars in your hand? Probably more than a few seconds.

This is an open forum, and negative posts will always exist. The human nature is to pick out one negative sentence out of a hundred positive ones, not much we can do about human nature, but there is surely a benefit to open discussion. If you read more posts, you will see that positives heavily outweigh the negatives.

If you have any valid reasons not to trust "this company", not just assumptions, please, share them here

Deposited money on my account flawlessly. Then loaded my card. But that didn't go well at all. My card hasn't been loaded and now my bitcoins are gone ...
Contacted the support, hopefully i'll get an answer soon.
Keeping you updated.

If we think you are who you are (hard to tell by nicknames), the problem with card loading is caused by the block the bank has put on your card. This sometimes happens when the card holder enters incorrect PIN, password, etc, and it is due to security reasons.
We are investigating and will reply to your request as soon as we have more information

Im very interested, im from indonesia, how to get a debit card, how to start it?

946  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: July 23, 2015, 10:12:03 PM
got a usd card a while back.. works well. havnt verified it yet though. certainly il be getting a euro card for myself and one for each family member. Smiley

just a quick tip for you (although shouldn't really be talking about it in this situation): a good way for you to save/earn some bitcoins in case you plan to order cards for family members is have them register via your affiliate link - this would give them all a 25% discount off the card price (the standard delivery one) and you will earn bitcoins on each of their card load transactions
947  Economy / Exchanges / Affiliate Programme on: July 22, 2015, 11:31:48 AM
We are happy to announce the launch of our own Affiliate Programme. If you have at least one active bitcoin debit card you can help us spread the word and let other bitcoin users benefit from its ease and convenience.

In return, you will earn 10% of our total gross margin on your referrals in the first year and 5% thereafter. There is no upper limit on how much you can earn, and payouts into your account are immediate, so, you don't have to wait for months to receive your earnings.

Every friend coming via your personal secure link will receive a 25% discount on ALL available cards (USD/EUR/GBP), and you will earn bitcoins on their card load transactions forever.

To enter the Affiliate Programme, please, log in to your account and go to "Earn Bitcoins" section.

To learn more, please have a look here: https://www.e-coin.io/affiliate

i'm so glade, i received my card this weekend and so far i can rate this company 5/5 stars

1- received the card after 15 days to Morocco
2- i send documents and i got verified after 24 hours
3- i received 3 times bitcoin to my account without any problem
4- very helpful and available Support by e-mail and Facebook chat

Ok, thanks. One more question:

per year? I thought that was a monthly limit?
for unverified accounts it's yearly[?]. If you want to increase the limits, need to verify your ID and address
Are these limits (max. withdraw $1000/ load $2500) lifetime or yearly limits?

lifetime, i.e., card's lifetime (3 years).
After that you can get verified or order a new card

Another option is to order a new card once you reached the limits.
Does that mean that I can order a new card after each $1000 (5x$200) ATM withdrawal?

technically you can, yes. Unless you prefer to provide copies of ID and proof of address to get verified
951  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: July 14, 2015, 02:17:50 PM
PayPal is declining my card, never had a problem with it before. What's happening? I'm quite sure I haven't hit any limits. Only tried PP so far, don't know if it's working with other stuff.

please, write to support@e-coin.io for us to see if we can help.
PayPal support should be the first point of contact though based on your description of the problem
952  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: July 07, 2015, 11:19:08 AM
Hi guys, if I have two cards, the first dollar, euro second how much cash can I withdraw per day? $ 4,000?

is 400 per card per day, but i'm not sure about the fact that you can have more than one card, because when you order it, they will know your name and address..

$400 is the limit for unverified accounts, the cards can be used without verification. Once you have submitted copies of your ID and proof of address, the limits get increased dramatically.
And it is officially allowed for the same cardholder to have one card in each currency (USD, EUR and GBP for the time being)
953  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: July 07, 2015, 11:13:22 AM
Has this card come out yet? How many you know that are using this? Is the fees low, or is it like the same thing as the bit-x debit card, the fees are so expensive? I don't know, once people use it and it works, I will probably try it.  Smiley

Yes, the USD card is out since January. EUR and GBP - since June. The fees are very reasonable.
People use it and it works, and card loading is instant

Hi guys, if I have two cards, the first dollar, euro second how much cash can I withdraw per day? $ 4,000?

You would need to verify the documents for each card separately. That is an extra nuisance, due to compliance regulations, but the positive side is that your card limits won't depend on each other, so, yes, you can withdraw up to the individual limit from each card
955  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: July 07, 2015, 11:08:47 AM
These guys just harvested my email address from the web and sent me spam. lookslegit.jpg

Can you write and describe the issue to support@e-coin.io, please? Hope no one is sending stuff in our name..
We never "harvest" any e-mails form the web; any news/updates are only sent out to registered users, and there is always an option to unsubscribe.
956  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: July 07, 2015, 11:06:40 AM
How long does verification normally take? I've sent my documents on last Friday and it still says "Verifying".

Normally 2-3 business days.
But sometimes there are delays at the bank's end
957  Economy / Exchanges / Re: E-Coin.io, scam? on: July 07, 2015, 11:05:04 AM
Will try to test my new EUR card at some point this week & post feedback Smiley

looking forward!

Update
today after around 24 hours delay the money was finally load in to my card. So the problem can be consider as SOLVED.
The Problems:
Support ... the site don`t have any support i didn`t receive any e-mail to inform me that they receive the problem ticket or that they solve it .I send them 3 reports 2 form the website and one direct form my e-mail. Response NONE. The site work and seems to be LEGIT for now but if you expect for any support to receive information or help or else DON`T  You will not receive respond form them.
The only one person that reply to me was gosha@e-coin
Lets hope that they will fix the support
this is all

do you mean any kind of automated message confirming the receipt of your request would be helpful? There are two ways of looking at it: immediately acknowledge and then fix and reply or just fix and reply, without the additional notification. Some people prefer to receive the acknowledgement, others prefer not to, as it is just another annoying automatic message.
What is your view?
959  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: July 01, 2015, 08:13:49 AM
Registered to e-coin site, but I didn't receive any activation code? Huh

it may take a few minutes sometimes, no reason to worry. Also worth checking the junk and notifications folders, as such messages may be filtered by your mail server.
If you still haven't received it for some reason, please, write to support@-e-coin.io
