It should begin going down as we are near a full moon.

What? the moon affects the price?? What am I missing?
Apparently, full moon does.

The bids are getting bumped by bots bidding .01 higher in an effort to entice other buyers to get frustrated and buy at a higher price. Watch the order book for a bit, you'll see the same bots breaking down transactions into tiny amounts (faster to execute and easier to disguise), but they are effectively buying 1 and selling 1.1; just gaming the bid/ask ratio and making those pretty bars turn from red to green by floating the bid. Buyers look at the chart and think "oooo! look at that big volume, it's green!" Sorry, but that's just high-frequency gaming at it's best. The real winners are the market makers who are earning pennies and nickels on the spread, the real losers are those buying above $100.

This has TRAP written all over it.
So you think.

Nope, I paid a vocalist to sing it.

did you pay her in BTC?

I hope he didn't. The microphone sucked or the vocalist does  Grin
Nope, and let's just say it wasn't very costly, but better than me trying to sing it lol

Well, sold some at $108.5 and bought back in. Only made 1 BTC, but hey, they say it will be worth $300k one day this year, perhaps it wasn't so bad after all. Now I just need to repeat this 99 more times and I'll have earned myself a supernode worth of coins.
946  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 18, 2013, 06:39:32 PM
Jaroslaw has no bitcoins, or 0.1 at most maybe. He's just an immature kid trying to act like a memorable troll but failing miserably. The best troll on these boards is Rpietila by far, nobody comes even close. Tongue

I think the rally + the wall buy is legit. There was a wedge, and we broke upwards. I bought 2/3 in, at a loss.

We will now form a handle to the cup tomorrow in 106ish, and then continue up.

Why am I the best troll, even now under medication??  Undecided

Proudhon has disappeared, and most the cadre has changed.  Cry

Enough said  Wink

Fiat is a guilty pleasure that you will all inevitably indulge.  Don't lie about what you're really after.   Wink
True bitcoiners will hold until they can purchase what they need directly with bitcoin  Wink
948  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 18, 2013, 06:04:12 PM
Bounce is almost over and i'm ready to buy in at a profit. Good times.

You don't profit until you sell, son.
True bitcoiners doesn't consider fiat profit, only increase in amount of BTC Smiley

At least the wall was real. That's kind of bullish  Wink

Sold a little into the wall, he he, looks like we're gonna profit from that.

954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does low number of Bitcoin Facebook "Likes" prove we are all early adopters? on: June 17, 2013, 12:53:21 AM
That page, "bitcoin users org" is an "app page", which I believe was used to promote a business. If I had to guess, most of the likes are from people who have no idea what bitcoin even is. They have had more than 240k likes forever, they probably just bought most of the likes and had a few likes from bitcoin users as well who didn't know better.

The real bitcoin group seems to be Bitcoin P2P Cryptocurrency and it has slightly less than 14k likes.

This is just speculation from my side, I am not too into the whole facebook thing so I might be wrong, but that page even links to a non defunct website. Maybe someone could shed some light on this.

Not my quote, but I love it Wink
956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 16, 2013, 07:34:03 PM
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes.

The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.

About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward.

Maybe they have to be crazy.

How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written? Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?

While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Famous quotes about bitcoin? on: June 16, 2013, 05:46:33 PM
"Hahahaha. ROTFL." - White House Economic Advisor Austan Goolsbee added this comment when asked to rate their confidence from 1 to 10 on the folowing question (he rated 10, strongly agree): A bitcoin’s value derives solely from the belief that others will want to use it for trade, which implies that its purchasing power is likely to fluctuate over time to a degree that will limit its usefulness.
958  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 16, 2013, 04:30:38 PM
Perhaps rpietila doesn't have a mental illness, but is master at real life trolling.  Wink
959  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 16, 2013, 03:48:12 PM
Talking about mental institutions, I got a movie recommendation: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073486/

960  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 16, 2013, 01:22:20 PM

The true bear indicator  is rpietila selling off some bitcoins.

I'd believe its to pay off the private mental institution holding him    Grin

Come on, that and the supernode meeting and those hilarious stories are all part of his trolling right?

One can never be entirely sure, but I don't think so

I do believe he has money and a lot of coins but the rest has to be a troll! He's creating a character.
It's too ridiculous and insane to be true.
Sauna's, 1000's of coins in open wallets that get stolen, mental institutions....haha no way.
He never said that, he said "potentially lost". He only confirmed 1 BTC as lost.
