941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Cubicverse MMORPG Cryptocurrency on: December 29, 2016, 12:50:56 PM
Thank you for checking out the game. Did you actually play it or just look at it for a second? I ask because I was wondering if you saw a castle in the game because I am having trouble getting it to load onto the game. But it might be loading on other peoples computers but just not mine when I get on. Also I know that there isn't that much players at all really but I plan to do some advertising on Google AdSense and Facebook

Nah sorry I haven't played game, just checked it out for a second. I don't really like that type of games but I think MMORPG is best genre for something like that
942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Cubicverse MMORPG Cryptocurrency on: December 29, 2016, 12:59:18 AM
I don't think your MMORPG game has enough players in order to raise price of the coin. But it is great idea and I actually quite like it a lot.
943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best gpu for mining ? RX470 OC or RX470 Nitro ? on: December 29, 2016, 12:54:07 AM
Buy whatever is cheaper. That additional clocks they got and they are selling with their "OC" version you can get yourself by flashing card bios. There is no point in spending extra money
944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is GTX 1070 a good GPU miner, and what coin would it be most efficient for? on: December 29, 2016, 12:02:28 AM
If you plan to buy it for mining than no. It would take too long to ROI. Nvidia cards are much more expensive for same performance. If you already have the card and don't care about ROI just want to mine a bit then it would be good

440 sols on ZEC @150W - "For the same performance" lol.

To answer the question - yes the gtx 1070 is good for mining. At the moment mine ZEC.

Look at price and performance of amd cards. RX 470 and RX 480 are much better at price/performance ratio. Please ask yourself if Nvidia cards are actually better for mining why great majority still buy amd cards ?

I agree for ETH, but this does not apply for ZEC anymore with the recent nvidia miners. Not to mention that we can expect even more increase of performance.

Looking at long term everyone see ZEC as coin that is failing and will eventually fail. In my mind there is no point in investing at something like that (buying gear that is good for that only)

Hi Folks,

I got an i7-7700 and a Z270 board - will let you know, wether it´s good 4 mining.

I will order some PCI-E bridges 2 check, whether more than 4 GPUs (comp. Z170) are possible.

... not a cheap solution, if it really is one (2 be proofed).

 Cheesy PanneKopp

Well If you bought your PC only for mining than it's really bad. But based on your CPU and MB, guess it's all-around PC and you will mine during night or when not using it. In that case since you plan on having multiple GPUs you should disable all but one when not mining because of power draw.
948  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1x฿it.com - Most Competitive Sports฿ook & Casino | ฿est Odds & Wagering Options on: December 26, 2016, 07:51:15 PM

And 1XBIT have one of the bests odds of the sportsbooks market. If you look carefully, they have a wide variety of bets in a single event.

Actually Im agree in terms of lots of betting options available in a single game. Odds is kinda fine on the other hand.

Good example is basketball, really put the betting options into every possible way. Just kinda confused why Moneyline option for some games is not present but it's fine for me and no issue with that.
I don't really agree with the great odds statement. Maybe for some games but i looked at some esport odds and they were much better on other sites than on 1xBit.com. I really hope they can improve that a bit.

yeah but you miss a point 1XBIT is a new sportsbook, and others sportsbooks have a long history that's why those have greats odds. In overall I feel that 1XBIT is doing a great job.

Umm I think I'm right. Isn't the point of new sportsbook to have better odds than others with long history ? That way they will attract more users. When you have a steady user base then you should make odds slightly less profitable and focus on your own profit.
949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HDD Mining on: December 26, 2016, 02:38:31 PM
HDD mining is new thing which I have heard, as I know you can simply mine with sata drives, it doesn't cares about ssd, you need huge amount of storage, for example 100TB to get profit from hdd mining. Nowdays more known coin is burst and you can mine it, also it's profitable now. If you are now investing money, than as one member told you, it's better to invest GPU mining.

It depends on your situation and your goals (mining BURST)...HDD you make already have, how long you're going to hold the coin.  In my case I already had about 12 TB (will probably increase that), my computers are always on, and electricity costs rolled into the business.

But you certainly don't need 100 TB to get the ball rolling.

With your 12 TB you are going to earn about 17$ per month. That is in my mind not very profitable. 4TB HDD is 129.78$. That means for 12 TB I have to pay 519.12 $. At current price it's going to take me 2.4 years to ROI. Now even if you already have hardware are you sure you want to spend all that space and your time managing your rig for 17$ per month ?

I already owned to the HDD, electricity costs me nothing, and I don't know what time you think it takes to manage 12 TB?  So far one of the HDD has kicked out so I had to do a restart, about 30 seconds to "manage" it.

My rig is small obviously, I'll be adding more TB.  You can also buy BURST cheap and invest in assets increasing your ROI.  If you expect to mine with a small amount of HDD and look to just immediately dump the coin (and expect big profit), you're right this might not be for you.  Most people are looking at BURST because it may have significant potential to accrue, not necessarily it's price point today.

Then it's more of a gamble with investment than mining. What if you mine this coin for like a year for example deciding to hold and price crash ?

If you have some large amount of HDD's (you don't have to buy them) like 100TB it may be profitable. If you plan to invest in HDD mining, it's not profitable. If you invest same money into GPU rig you are much better off, since you can choose among many other coins and it's easier to sell GPUs than HDDs when you don't need them anymore
952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ocassionally GPU rig won't run at the full speed - why? on: December 23, 2016, 07:21:26 PM
How close are your GPUs one to another (phisically) ? What are your temperature settings ? It could be that your cards are thermal throttling.

There's a GPU each 9cm along the rack.

When this issue occured just now I turned the rig off, cooled down the whole room, GPU temp dropped by 10C, started the rig and it... launched with the full speed yay!

So your guess may be the answer to my question! I will speed up the fans and see if that solves the problem as actually they spin very slow. Maybe I have to relax my low noise requirements... Smiley
Thanks

Since you want low noise, guess your cards are somewhere in your house. I put all my rigs in garage so I don't have to care about noise. It's always better to run fans as high as you can but not over 80% (only in case it's needed), since it's does not matter how fast fans spin (they won't last longer if they spin slower). What matters to fans is change in speed, so you should make your speed constant, not dependent on temperature.

doesnt smell fishy at all
everyone who use claymore's zec miner know it is a pain and it take alot of time to update all your worker, we are only trying to help

What's pain about that?
Download new miner, copy and run bat files, done.
in this case he is right, try to update 94 rigs that simple..
But still this can't be trusted unless some more info would be published

If you have 94 rigs, would you risk thousands of dollars for ANY guy who posted something that updates miners for you ? I mean It's better to spend few hours just copy/pasting files than risking your profits in order to make your life easier.

If you do not have very cheap electricity, it is better not to start mining now.

Yes, it is getting hard to make ends meet currently. If you already have the rigs there is still some profit to eek out, but if you are just starting out I would advise to try and start with 1 or two GPUs and utilize your existing computer if possible rather than buying a dedicated rig. This way you can work out the numbers yourself as the various online calculators are usually overly optimistic with their profitability predicitions.

I would suggest opposite of this. More GPU's you start with it will be better. You will utilize your resources better (slots on motherboard, PSU ... ) instead of having just one or two cards. You will hit ROI faster with more GPUs.
please suggest me some best GPU's for mining

Best GPU's to buy now would be RX 470 in almost any case. Only other viable option would be RX 480. If there is no much price difference in your country you should go for RX 480, otherwise, if price difference does not justify performance increase stick with RX 470

Umm well not really. It's just copy pasting some files. I would't trust anyone with random .exe files in my miner. Since you do not charge your software, why not release code publicly on GitHub so we can check that it does what you really claim it does.

959  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Whalt.net | Your own trading bot. on: December 22, 2016, 06:25:35 PM
To be honest with you guys! You had a good idea! But trying to promote that sh1t on Bitcointalk was very risky idea..

We all know that you create Ponzi. There is no doubt! Just leave Bitcointalk, and don't take our time..

Edit/

Confirmation from well known friends welcome.
Regards.

I don't think that it is fair to say something like this. I agree with you that it is a risky idea and without a proper proof of the bot (which is difficult) most of us will see it as a ponzi. It is our experience with sites like this. On the other hand, what if they really come up with a good trading bot but they are doing something like this for the first time and don't know how to present it as a legit investment site? It is hard to say.
You are saying:
Quote
and don't take our time..
He is not taking your time, right? It was your decision to spend time with their site and project. I am also spending some spare time on this, just out of interest and curiosity. You never know what people have Smiley Maybe they share one day some parts of it Wink

Maybe I used strong words. But without them, we do not receive any confirmation or proof that this service is legit.

If you will have to choose only one option, which you will choose now?
1. It is legit service
2. It is Ponzi scheme

I think you have just answered the question, why my earlier post look like it looks.

Well since he avoid monbux's request to show any real proof like trade history (which would be easy to do if he really have bot) I'm now completely sure this service is ponzi. I wasn't sure before but yeah... Don't get me wrong, I'd like for OP to prove me wrong and post some proof.
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 0% Fee Claymore Miner Bundle! on: December 22, 2016, 06:22:05 PM
I just don't get it, people can download his mod and try it.. they did not notice that all it does is restart ?
He is PM forum members says he cracked Claymore miner and has a no fee mod that turns of fee and when you don't reply he keeps lowering price, I paid 0.1 bitcoin for xmas special which after paying he tried increasing cost to 0.3 but others have posted paying 1.5 bitcoin for software that does nothing, I opened a threat at zcash forum to warn others mine does not even restart miner but stops miner completely it's likely Claymore is on to him with latest release and blocked his hack and he's still selling anyway saying it's working with latest release

I don't think claymore is even trying to stop this since it's not really a hack. He is just restarting miner in order to avoid fee. That way you will lose even more than paying claymore for what he's done (developed a great miner)
