I sold as well.
Took my profit and now will invest in AMC.

You are now doomed to experience lonely and miserable Wednesdays.

Haha right, we'll see.

Quoted for lulz.  Cheesy

Dosent list them all, but dosent really need to.

If not listing them all, then the title should be changed.

944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ► ► ► LEALANA PHYSICAL SILVER LITECOINS [pre sale ANNOUNCEMENT] on: June 27, 2013, 03:06:41 AM
I would love some of these. I understand you don't want to allow pre-orders now, but please take whatever measures necessary so that they can't all be snapped up within a few hours of pre-ordering being announced. Maybe allow at least 2 coins per person ordered in the first 3 days before filling larger orders, or...

LITECOIN DEVELOPMENT DONATION
In an effort to spur on further development of Litecoin, for each coin sale 1 LTC will be donated to the Litecoin Development Fund

Maybe allow this donation to be made in advance as a kind of reserve without the usual associated problems of pre-orders, on the understanding that if you're struck by lightening tomorrow then it just counts as a donation? It also helps the LTC dev fund as they get it sooner.  Smiley

Dividend speculation? Looks like the mining part will be around 0.016 per share this week, any educated guesses about the hardware proceeds?
946  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 26, 2013, 03:47:37 AM
Any good estimates on what the hardware-sales portion of the next dividend will be?
947  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: June 26, 2013, 12:16:32 AM
Options expiry dates should now be correct.

Confirmed. Thanks. Smiley
948  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: June 24, 2013, 08:09:13 AM
I can confirm that the actual end date and time is 2013-07-26 12:50:05.

This is definitely a display bug and I will get it corrected for you.

Thanks for pointing this out!

Please don't forget this! Smiley Expiry dates keep changing randomly in both screens for multiple purchased options. If have before & after screenshots for a different option I could PM you if it helps. Thanks.

[Edit: now fixed  Smiley]
949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CNC to be delisted from BTC-e on: June 23, 2013, 10:26:30 PM
It seems they posted more pairs in the original news before changing them, did anyone catch that?

some people in trollbox were saying ppc and ftc. Can't see ppc being removed though.

There was something for sure as news number 163 is missing. cnc news is 164, there is 162 but 163 says news doesn't exist. https://btc-e.com/news/163

I generally don't believe most of what's in the trollbox... but after looking through the trollbox archive, I'm fairly sure this happened. It looks like the first announcement was for TRC, PPC, FTC and CNC, with the same reason, "minimal volume". Which is a bit of a joke seeing as FTC is included in that list but NVC wasn't. It was pulled fairly quickly with no explanation.

950  Economy / Securities / Re: Future of ASICMINER-PT and other Mining shares/PTs on: June 23, 2013, 01:06:22 AM
it appears that  BitFunder is down or slow?..how long to create a new acct?...links are dead on page so..ideas

It's probably best to ask here.
951  Economy / Securities / Re: Future of ASICMINER-PT and other Mining shares/PTs on: June 22, 2013, 11:54:34 PM
bitfunder peoples accts have been disappered and moved

Their accounts (not shares/BTC) have disappeared and moved? Did they use 2FA?

If so, please could you include a link. Thanks.

it was'nt me i've been just reading about it here on this forum

I believe this was about shares being transferred out of someone's account who didn't use 2FA, so a security breach at the user's end rather than BitFunder's.

953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Litecoin means for Bitcoin (and crypto in general) once it's on Mt.Gox on: June 22, 2013, 10:35:30 PM
All else equal, moderately shorter block times are more secure. Of course, that has to be weighed against the relative cost to perform such an attack on BTC vs LTC, given BTC's significantly higher hashing power.

They are not more secure. That analysis misses the honest work lost to latency, which increases with shorter block times.

Sure, for ridiculously short block times, but for 10 minutes [Edit: I mean 2.5 Smiley] average is latency loss significant enough to counterbalance the effect above? Source/numbers?
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Litecoin means for Bitcoin (and crypto in general) once it's on Mt.Gox on: June 22, 2013, 10:25:27 PM
Shorter block times do NOT make Bitcoin-alts more secure.
Who said they did?

Pity there aren't trust ratings for coins or companies.

I'd love to see Ripple's trust rating, or BFL's.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=44366

Wow, neutral score! Shocked Been keeping quiet for months though, even though the "last active" is today, interesting...

OpenCoin's Ripple implementation at ripple.com might be controversial, but where did they scam anyone with real money?  Huh

I have strong suspicions about Ripple & haven't gone near it, but I was more commenting on the perceptions in the forum.

Having said that, if they have willfully misrepresented what ripple is, how much trouble they're likely to get in with regulators, etc. then they very much have scammed their investors for personal profit.

956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin vs Bitcoin wall tracker & speculation thread on: June 22, 2013, 08:00:34 AM
So... sold the FTC just in time then gave up on the sliding altcoin bear markets of despair & had a look round the securities. Wasn't convinced by most but jumped into ASICMiner and BTCInvest with both feet & pretty much live there now.

Except I threw all my spare uninvested BTC into LTC a few hours ago, sure I don't need to tell you why! Everything going to the moon, haven't had this much fun since April. Grin

Any opinions on when the rest of the alts might come back out of the wilderness?

AM on Bitfunder may be cheaper than BTC-TC, but the chart's pure green - not a single sell order in the last 60 trades.

PS. And apparently, BitFunder's TAT.ASICMINER just briefly touched 0.032 Shocked
959  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: June 21, 2013, 07:53:49 AM
Wow, the bid wall on BTCInvest has vanished people are so desperate to free up coin for the cheap AM shares there.  Grin
Tradefortress dividend of cheap ASICminer shares XD
That battle's been decided  Grin

Turns out it was just delayed - bids are clambering over each-other now!

Probably all Friedcat fans who noticed how much BTCInvest is made up of ASICMiner Grin
