There is no reason for Weexchange to be a required funding source by BitFunder. It takes them over 12 hours just to send you an email to verify your account. Their customer support is basically non-existent. This is the main reason I prefer BTC-TC over BitFunder, and I am sure that I am not the only one.

I agree on this. Weexchange just makes it harder to use BF, for no added functionality.

I've pressured Ukyo repeatedly to allow on-site accounts for Bitfunder. I think he's cracking, but I can't be sure Wink

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

What is his reasoning for keeping the integration with Weexchange?

It's more secure.

It also allows Bitfunder to operate separately from the bitcoind wallet application, making BitFunder very fast at orders & balances.

In these times of wholesale hacking, i welcome the fact that my Bitfunder account cannot send out to any address, other than my Weexchange address. Im sure a smart hacker is working on a workaround, but its a welcome layer non the less.

I agree with this - especially seeing as both BitFunder & Weex allow me to use 2-stage authentication. I already had a weex account before using  BitFunder and I found the process really smooth and easy, due in large part to Graet processing all sorts of requests at all hours of day and night Smiley

Hey guys,

I will be in London for a week or so starting this Thurs. 13th of June.

If anyone would like to meet up in the afternoon / evening for food and drinks, I will be available Thursday night. Smiley

If you are interested, drop me a PM on the forums. I will try to get back to you by Thursday noon at the latest.

I know this is isn't a the meetup subforum, however this is more of a 'Hey who's around' than a bitcoin meet. Wink

See you soon!

is there a way to negotiate a rebate of sorts when I want to take my three mining cooperatives on bitfunder?
900usd for opening three issues seems a bit harsh.

Options expiry dates is broken on BitFunder.

[Edit: bug now fixed, screenshots removed]

I bought a call option that was listed with an end date towards the end of July.

Now I've bought the option, under the "Execute Options" tab, it says the "Time Remaining" is "12 Days, 16 Hours, 12 Minutes, 38 Seconds", i.e. Jun 26.

When I click on "Execute" to look at the details, it shows an "Expiration Time" of "Jun 21".

Three different expiry dates! Naturally this option is worth a lot less than I was charged if it expires in one week instead of 7 weeks as advertised.

Another option appeared on the list of options as I was buying the above option. I don't know if that caused the bug.

I tried logging out & back in, it didn't fix it.

Please advise. Thanks.

I can confirm that the actual end date and time is 2013-07-26 12:50:05.

This is definitely a display bug and I will get it corrected for you.

Thanks for pointing this out!

Also, looking for anyone near the Greater London area wanting to meet up this weekend. Drop me a PM. Smiley

Hello Ukyo, I notice that CAD (Interac) is still mentioned in your signature.
Are you still accepting these kinds of deposits?
I hope not because there is nothing you can buy with Canadian dollars
at Bitfunder.  There are no 'asks' and no 'bids' for Fiat.CAD vs BTC.

Interac is for users to trade CAD on weex. Even there, there is no volume. Our new site will fixes that though. Smiley
If you would be interested in being a beta user, PM me.

I had been asked to setup the BTC/USD asset on BF, so I did AUD and CAD as well since it was there and easy.

Thanks for doing bitfunder.com

Some minor suggestions for making the site better:
- option to set the local timezone in settings
- option to choose the chart type (not only on/off)

On my cpu the site renders very slow with default graph activated. The alternate graph is working better for me.

Also seeing that here on a fast 8-core machine with plenty of RAM (on Linux/Chrome), I guess it's an algorithmic issue - all other tabs work properly, but the graph takes 4-7 seconds to show up, there must be some optimization potential left there...
