Wash trading is pretty common with the new NFT projects coming out these days. Opensea and other similar platforms are partly to blame for this massive scheme becoming rampant.
These platforms clearly have the means to prevent this, like how OS removed the copied (left-facing) Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs on their platform, yet they chose to turn a blind eye to most spams on their platform since they too profit on the increase in volume. I'm afraid that once the Metaverse hype really blows up and integrates their own NFT marketplaces, things are only gonna get worse.

1. Most people only purchase those NFTs to make profits out of them. Buy cheap, sell it at a higher price. While it is possible to use those NFTs within those platforms, most people don't do it because of that reason. Other NFTs have their own utilities and platforms wherein you can use them as well, not just on Decentraland or The Sandbox. 2. Yes, that's mostly how you set up your own place on those platforms. You can find tons of articles and blog posts about these topics, detailed step-by-step tutorials on how to set up your own Metaverse by simply searching your questions on google. Good day guys,this might or might not be the right place to post this,but as an enthusiast of crypto,and a newbie here too,I think I might just find some sot of knowledge here on NFT.first my knowledge of bitcoin is minimal thou,but am highly interested on how nft works..over the last couple of months,I have read people selling their work of art,some pieces and making bulk of money,iven snoop dog cashed out on NFt recently..so if any have a good idea of how this works should enlighten me please.

Everything is down, not just your precious $SAND. Why would ask for help from anybody in this forum about this? I tell you now, no one will be able to help you. No one knows when or how the entire crypto market will bounce back. Your best bet is to just wait it out. If you sell out now, that's when you lose. Wait until the token you bought will recover to a point that you're seeing profits. Sandbox is one of the best projects out there for Metaverse, I'm sure when it gets more recognized and hyped, it'll bounce back. |

Pricing is one crucial part of marketing an NFT. Some profile pictures NFTs (like the identical monkey NFTs you mentioned) usually have varied prices depending on the rarity of the NFT, the designs, and its overall uniqueness. For an art that's digitally created on a smartphone, that's a bit too overpriced. It would have been justifiable if it was painted on a canvas. And the fact that it is just a copy of a famous painting adds to its difficulty getting sold. I would suggest lowering your expectations and that art's actual price so you'd have better chances of selling it. |

What exactly happened? Did all the liquidity got pulled?
Judging by the transactions on the address you posted, it seems that wallet owner sold a lot of these tokens. Did he mint trillions of these token? The total supply is a mess, lots of zeros that even Etherscan can't display it all. Is that what happened?

As many have already mentioned, the gas fees are the problem with that. Currently not viable to tip someone while paying more for the gas fee.
I think it would have been better if Twitter have chosen Layer 2 coins like MATIC or Arbitrum as they are known to have cheap transaction fees. Still, this is a good way to gain more exposure for Ethereum though. Pretty sure, sooner or later ERC20 tokens and maybe even NFTs will be included as well.

With hundreds of ELON, SAFE, SHIBA or DOG-themed meme tokens launching every day (just take a look at the token [ANN] section) that number will surely continue to grow. Shitcoins continues to be launched regardless of whether it'll be a success or not since the project team could simply abandon it and create another one the next day. This is what happens when there is no regulation, no accountability.

There are literally hundreds of other animals that you can choose from like Hedgehogs, Kinkajous, or anything that would make this token stand out. Why would you choose another dog?

The website and the social media channels for this token is littered with images of Elon Musk and Tesla logo even though I'm pretty sure those two have nothing to do with this token. Just another means to ride a company and a person's popularity to lure in token buyers. If anybody is thinking of buying this token, be very cautious.. As the saying goes, only invest what you can afford to lose.
