9481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: November 24, 2016, 04:06:29 PM
Maybe find something New same as gambling like addiction. Also you should set your mind like this gambling will just make you lose money. No one can help your from get out of gambling only you can set your mind.Give time to your family and spends time on something interested in real life.Maybe you will be able to get out from gambling.
Agree there are some good gambling website to be addictive and you can try you another luck in another gambling sites i don't actually stict to one gambling website if i lose there then i will find another gambling website where i try to played with big amount to bring back what i've lost.
i dont see the point in replacing one addiction with something that you will be addicted with also. well, gambling addiction is a different case since it involves money but i think the best way would still be to make time for more important things. try to put interest in spending time with your family or doing hobbies that are worth your time that would not compromise things that are much more important.
9482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High bet amounts or low bet amounts? What is your style? on: November 24, 2016, 04:00:08 PM
I wonder if you just play for the fun with small amounts or if you roll big sums in hope to win a lot? What is your method?
Mostly is low bet amounts but sometimes in high bet amount when i got feeling good and had much fund to spend in gamble, but the reason mostly in low bet amounts is just won't to get big lose
Yes, when you place small bets and you lose you can still have more time to catch up to win rather than placing bigger bets. If you really look for fun and with little bit of winning.. just also place smaller bets for you to play more.

yeah nice point you have there. betting big is kind of a do or die wager. its much safer to play with small amounts as if in case you don't get lucky, you would still have a chance of playing to win back. for me it depends on my mood. sometimes when i feel lucky i do one time big bettings. the results varied and sometimes i lose quite a hefty amount. there are also times when i have a lot of time to waste so i stick to small betting. your earnings may be a bit smaller but you do get to enjoy gambling longer
9483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on sport = gambling? on: November 24, 2016, 03:55:45 PM
If you are a league follower, know the stats, who is in form etc, this not a gambling!
Gambling is when you play roulette and anything can happen.
According to you which is not predictable, that is gambling right. Means the Roulette, Dice, etc. games are unpredictable we can not guess the result. So these games come under gambling. Then what about sports betting? Here also we will put money in risk and now we are getting unexpected results frequently. I think both are same but for you what change you found I don't know.
You are right, when ever we gamble our money then it means we are into gambling. With sports betting also we are risking our money on others (player's) skill. Fortunately we are using our knowledge that is the only difference in sports betting, still for a better result be depend on our luck. So, sports betting must be one of gambling type.
Knowledge is important but it will not guarantee you a win, though you know all the players and you have studied them very well it will not bring you a win. In gambling especially in sports, there are a lot of things to consider and we might be right to see what team will win but can they cover the spread or the line that was set?
In gambling, we can not say which is important which is not, according to me the only thing luck is important. If we use all our strategies, plans, methods everything finally our luck will decide that we are in profit or loss. So for me the sports betting and slot games both are same.

Quite true. Luck should be needed when we gamble. Sports betting and slot games are both gambling but not much the same, because for me you have bigger chance to win in sports betting if you're familiar with the game / sports and know to read and decide whose going to win the match.. whereas slot games it's only pure luck and the chance of winning is very minimal or slim.

well better chance of winning or not, bottom line is you're still gambling when you do sports betting. even if we say that having knowledge and information or doing research would up your chances, you still are gambling. gambling has several types and it just so happens that this type has a lot better odds than other forms of gambling.
9484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling vs Real Gambling on: November 24, 2016, 03:37:56 PM
Hello Guys, I would like to know you're understanding about online gambling and real life gambling. Since here in the philippines online gambling is now illegal. I'm just curious what's the difference about this too. Why make online gambling illegal?
In my opinion Both type of gambling are illegal because both are subjected to same type and equal amount of mon risk , So i will say that you should keep himself away from such things .

well your government would have a hard time implementing a ban on online gambling though. i mean really almost everyone has access to the internet and it would be very easy to do online gambling. i also see no reason in making this illegal. both online and real gambling, well gambling itself in general, may have negative effects but i think that issue is not about gambling but about the person. i enjoy gambling in casinos and sometimes online and i think there's nothing wrong with both.
9485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: November 24, 2016, 03:31:49 PM
Is gambling OK? Don't bet it! There's not an easy or instantly obvious proof text answer to that question.
No , it is not ok because not to bet is not a solution of the gambling and gambling addiction .
Well in gambling we need to make us safe stretagy and winning trick within house edge limit .
if you're gambling and it's affecting you and the people around you negatively, then it's not ok. gambling has different effects on people depending on how they treat it. what makes this a "sin" for others is the fact that sometimes it ruins families and personal lives when someone gets too hooked to it. but if you know how to handle yourself well without compromising other things then it should be ok
9486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling vs Betting on: November 24, 2016, 03:25:07 PM
We all know betting is better then gambling because you have a certain degree of control. I wonder who of you have gone from gambling to only betting now much did your profits increase and what difference does it make ?

I did not understand about this question because I think  gambling and betting the same thing equally in gambling
betting one type of gambling, gambling consists of several types of games one is betting commonly used in sports gambling

If you ask me about betting and some types of gambling I'm more profit from betting but not from winning  bet only profit from the various promotions and contests  Grin
me too, something of me is confusing about the question, but the difference of the two is that gambling is a game involving money then betting is what you use to do if you want to play that game.  Grin wahahaha! I don't think you all understand me. But thanks for reading anyway.
It's right mate, I am also confused, I figured gambling and betting both are same, because in both case money is involved, But you clarified my doubt, Gambling means game involved money, and Betting means we will put our money in a game, wow nice answer mate, Now I understand what exactly OP is asking. Thanks.
No matter what angle you will see it or define it, still a nonsense thing to ask because gambling and betting are just the same because how would you do gambling if you dont bet? Therefore, betting is definitely a part of gambling and theres no point on comparing them.
yeah that's right. i actually had to reread the first comment saying that we all know betting is better than gambling lol. whichever way you put it there's really nothing to compare. it would just confuse you thinking about it if there is a difference between the two.
9487  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: November 23, 2016, 05:39:28 PM
If I need money, I'll take out a bank loan. I do not ask for money from friends and relatives. It is easier to take the required amount in a financial institution
I agree.. but bank will charge you more interest than asking money from your friends and relatives.  Grin but if you really need a big money well bank might give that amount you need.

yeah you're right. depending on the amount that you desperately need, i think if it's minimal like money just to make you through to the next pay that you'll receive, borrowing from people you know would be enough. if it's a major amount you'll need then loaning from banks would be the best option although you have to work with the interests that it comes with but hey, when desperate time comes you may not have a lot of choices
9488  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would you eat a human? on: November 23, 2016, 05:30:42 PM
What if it was the sacrificed child of your enemy? What if it gave you secret powers? What if it held the key to world domination? Would you do it? Would you eat another person?
Nope. I'd rather to die that to eat other person. My consiece can't take that. I do not want to sacrifice other's life as for me to survive.

Yes, me too!id rather die than eat some flesh of my fellow human. Eating human is very immoral and unhumanity!i cant imagjne eating human!eating human is nog a normal rhing to do even if you are hungry and you need something to eat just to survive. I'd rather drink much water to survive than eating human body. Besides, psychic tells that eating human can make u crazy.
well for me I won't say that I won't because if you're in a survival situation and it would be the only way to survive, I may be forced to do so. this is considering if the person is already dead. killing a person for consumption is entirely different as I'm totally not into ending someone else's life to prolong mine but if worse comes to worst and I have to eat a human body, i may consider the possibility of it.
9489  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New Fukushima Tsunami. on: November 23, 2016, 05:14:53 PM
I think that is not so terrible tsunami for Fukushima. Look how terrible it looks on TV, the accident in Japan and how the Japanese quickly regained control of a nuclear power station. The Japanese are worthy of respect.

Yeah the japanese are a resilient and hardy people and they deserve respect and admiration. If we could just emulate hownthe japanese work with things and their attitude. I've also seen on tv the tsunami and i really admire how the japanese people prepare for these kind of disasters
9490  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: November 23, 2016, 12:58:27 PM
I'm not sure this happen will come true as soon, we know that dollar is the largest currency in the world, if the transactions that using bitcoin increase and use more than 30% peoples in this world, maybe the one sign that bitcoin replace dollar.

yeah you're right about that. a lot of currencies are relying on how the dollar moves and I don't think any currency, crypto or regular can replace the status of the dollar any time soon. though we also can't be sure but that's just my opinion for now. bitcoin or gold or other fiat currencies may be able to challenge the dollar in time but that's just about it.
9491  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020 on: November 23, 2016, 12:51:54 PM
I vote 40-50 percent. I vote it because I believe in bitcoin growth in the next four years will be very large. I feel the progress bitcoin, is now beginning there was some bitcoin adoption in various regions. It will be very affect the development of bitcoin so would push people to use bitcoin.

well we both believe in bitcoin and all the benefits it can give but I think 4 years would be too short a time for most people even be aware and have access to bitcoin much more to own it. there are some countries that have limited online access and we all know that bitcoin is an online currency. more people would be using it after 4 years that's for sure but I don't think it would be almost half the earth's population
9492  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: November 23, 2016, 12:43:35 PM
Where did you read this source that soon bitcoin will gonna reply fiat ? I think there's some hoax news you read before coz if we are going to look bitcoin can not really replace fiat bitcoin needs fiat so that trading will still alive and kicking some butt of traders we need fiat too to convert our bitcoins.
I think for the moment we are still dependent on and bitcoin bitcoin to do everything, but we do not know what will happen in the future? very likely that bitcoin can stand alone and be a competitor for fiat?
As long as bitcoin is still depends in physical currency definitely it will not be replace fiat.. fiat will still need to be existed since not all people have access to the internet to do bitcoins.

Also bitcoin is a name of crypto currency, and i don't think that any crypto currency need to changed into fiat, because all crypto currencies have its own place. Also in future, bitcoin could be changed, So i think it is not suitable thing for all cryto currency, especially for bitcoin, because people trust on bitcoin and use it, because it is not a fiat currency.

well it definitely will still take time if ever it will happen. though just in my opinion. I agree with the previous comment that bitcoin. or crypto in general would be able to compete with fiat. although it's unlikely that it will be replacing it any time soon as right now people are heavily reliant on fiat
9493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 207: Rousey vs Nunes Prediction and Info Thread on: November 23, 2016, 09:08:40 AM
I thought Ronda Rousey still wants to fight Cris Cyborg (read an article on Semptember issue)? maybe will this be a good fight for the comeback of Rousey (after she was outclassed by Holly Holmes)and for Nunes she will fighting the best pound for pound female UFC fighter. i also read a post for the card ,Cody no love vs Dominick Cruz, Fabricio Werdum vs Cain Velasquez 2 also Aldo vs (unknown)?

That would be a good match though, Ronda Rousey vs Cris Cyborg, gonna wait for it. But for now, Rousey vs Nunes, if Rousey win on this match, it will be a good comeback for Rousey. For me this match is 50 50, because Rousey is comeback again at UFC.

well i think ronda's loss to holmes slowed down her showdown with cris cyborg. a lot of people have been looking forward to this and if ronda would win her comeback fight then we may very well see these two ladiesin the octagon soon. packed card also. looking forward to the werdum vs cain fight. cain's been slowed down by injuries though i still think he's still one of the most talented hw even now
9494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: November 23, 2016, 08:46:57 AM
Gambling is not a sin but its frown upon because it does not help the individual to develop at all and it foments in people the possibility of becoming addicted and even have self destructing behaviors.
i think it's clearly stated on every single scriptures in any religion
gambling is prohibited due the absolute rules
well i call gamblng is a sin if people means about religion rules
gambling have more negative power than the positive ones , just think twice about it.

oh no let's not drag religion here. yes gambling may very well cause a lot of negative things to happen to a person's life. it has it's own good and bad effects and i think the person gambling would be the one to determine that. if the person gets addicted and had his personal and family life affected, then in a way gambling makes him sin. but if the person knows what his priorities are and is smart about dealing with gambling, then it's harmless. it all boils down to the person himself and how he deals with gambling
9495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your aim in gambling???? on: November 23, 2016, 08:40:02 AM
My aim is to make $2000 within my first year of gambling. So far I've made roughly 1200, so I think the other 800 dollars is doable in 6 months.

$2000 is not big goal to achieve but only with gambling that looking very strange as you claimed you already got $1200 as pure profit in 6 months than it looking very possible for you, I think the important thing in gambling we always stay under the some limit never get greedy to achieve goal in a day, but in long term gambling ending with get busted so you must keep this in mind before keep you playing.
It depends if he started with 20 dollars then making 2000 is in fact great profit in terms of percentage if in the other hand he had 10K as capital then that is not really a lot of earnings taking into account how risky is to play casino games and to come on top of the casino.

For me, $2,000 is already a big goal to achieve for the whole year. But within my expectation I don't usually aim big amount as I gamble. My aim is just to get myself entertained as I gamble and whatever it takes or if I do experience some winnings and returns. Then that is just going to be fine with me.

I have one doubt, he already made 1200$ in gambling, so in this process, i think he must be met some loses right. Please share that information how much you lost. Because it will help people to how much investment we need to achieve this goal right. In gambling making 1200$ without a loss is impossible. My aim in gambling is just killed my free time.

yeah i think the losses should also be considered. for me 1200 is quite a big amount already but how much did you lose during that time before you came up with 1200? also is this just on a specific gambling game? i'd love to get tips here as well as i have the same reason for gambling as you are, just to have something to do during my free time. it would be nice to be earning that amount for a past time.
9496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to win gambling with no lose? on: November 23, 2016, 08:24:42 AM
That is just too impossible except if you cheat. You will always lose and the house will always win. That is why it is provably fair. Just to make it sound inviting to gamblers.
Right you are it is impossible to win without losing in gambling because the site owner will not let it happen. And also because winning and losing in gambling normal because it was a game. Unless you cheat, you can win without losing.

well i think everyone already knows this. once you start to gamble, you are already aware that there is a very big chance that you're going to lose some, if not more of the capital you initially brought in. it's the nature of gambling itself whether you play against the house or not. cheating also won't cut it as you will eventually be caught. so there really is no way as in no way at all that we can expect not to lose when it comes to gambling.
9497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Rich from Gambling? on: November 23, 2016, 08:21:06 AM
u can be rich only from poker not from other gambling as other gambling is just gamblign when odds are killing you
Poker is just for those who rich already but if you are going top play poker with small capital then it really hard to grow that money when you had small capital to use in poker games but if your luck is enough to defeat and win in every round and cards is really good then you can really make it.
i can count with my fingers how many people become rich because gambling
no matter it's from poker , blackjack, roulette or whatever
the conclusion is , a very ittle chance for everyone to get rich in gambling , almost impossible
i even considered gambling as a wrong way to earn money.

They are only very few that became rich from gambling. And this is one of my dream to become rich from gambling but I guess that will be an impossible thing for me. No matter what type of gambling game I play, still I can say its a failure for me to reach my attained goal to become rich with it so I will just gamble for fun.
you can actually reach your goal to become rich in gambling
i suggest you to bet on sports , create a multibet slip with very high odds
for example to create a mulibet with odds around @1000 and just put $10 weekly only
your potential winning is $10,000 , for some people $10,000 is enough to make them considered as a rich man.

I agree to this, being knowledgeable about gambling in sports betting is actually profitable and will make you money, although it's still have a chance of losing but the chance of your winning will increase if you just think and study every aspect of the game. For me, 'Luck is the absence of skill'

well yeah there are types of games that have a very good chance of giving you profits but not to the point of being rich. yes being skilled in poker or knowledgeable in sports betting games would be a very good way to at least earn from gambling but that's mostly about it. unless you shell out a very huge capital for sports bets but then that would be a very big risk as even though you know a lot, there still is the possibility of upsets. i think you just have to be really lucky with lottery to be rich from this. though all of us already know the chances of hitting the jackpot is very very slim.
9498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: November 23, 2016, 07:44:17 AM
Since gambling is just for fun for me, become rich wont stop me to do it. One thing that maybe I will try to keep is to always play with small amounts of money and I will reduce the duration of my gambling thing. With huge amounts of money I can find another fun things beside gambling and thats what I will try to chase if I was rich!
We will not be addicted though we gamble because we are not of making money, gambling is just an entertainment for us and nothing else. If for every rich gambler, they only treat gambling for fun and they have big resistance to addiction they will surely enjoy it.
Yes, those who afford their loss in gambling they will enjoy this gambling lot Because they have enough money to lead their life, so if they lose money in gambling, they don't care. The only rich people can do this, the normal gamblers and poor people will not play gambling just for fun, their primary intention is to make some profit. So if I become rich yes I will play gambling.

well i don't really agree that normal gamblers and poor people's primary intention is to make profit. smart people know that there is no sure profit when you play with chances whether you're poor or not. they're pretty much that same with rich people, the difference only being that rich people have a lot more to lose and by that, would be a lot more relaxed and less pressured to win. if i'd have that much money, my take on gambling would be something that i can waste money on with the least chance of earning. so i still would do it but mostly just for experience
9499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: November 23, 2016, 07:36:02 AM
Just follow your instict and you will be fine Smiley
And by the its a gamble we really dont know what will happen after we bet so just allow your assessment to win inside your mind and wait for the result if we are lucky enough for sure its gonna win. Nothing is needed but to wait and see just always remember to enjoy so win or lose you will find happiness with your game.
Our instinct are wrong most of the time especially in sports betting, when we see the line we grab it easily because we feel that our favorite team is going to win in the game.

Without knowing that bookmakers knows how a typical gambler reacts so they will set the line to be deceiving and make it easy for us to choose the bet but in the end we know our bets had lose.

I don't believe in my instinct too, sometimes I do trust it when I test it. Just like in dice games, when I think if the roll is going to be 51>

Then I will bet on it, but most of the time I fail with it so I just trust my own analyzing and don't lean on my instinct anymore.

Maybe I will just use this for YOLOing. But that is not the smart way though.

Yes playing on gambling gamble with rely on instinct I guess it's like to believe in luck. I ever use my instinct on a roulette game but overall I lose. Using instinct in my opinion not a smart way to gamble, and it would be very risky. The smart way to gamble in my opinion is to have self-control, so that we can know the limit in betting so it does not become addicted and do not drain our money.
well following your instincts is pretty much the same as just hoping that luck would smile at you. i've done that most of the time when playing baccarat and most of the time i end up following opposite what my instincts tell me. it's still 50/50. if you really want to play it smart, stick to types of gambling that doesn't just rely on 50/50 chance without any other factors. sports bets and poker for examples, would have a decent chance as you just don't rely on luck or chances. if you gain enough experience and knowledge, you just might have a better chance than others at winning.
9500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: November 23, 2016, 07:28:17 AM
Maybe because youre bored or you dont hae anything else you can do about it it sucks because i lost almost 100 btc now

One reason why a gambler gamble is because they are bored, but if you are thinking about what you are doing, you will not end up emptying your 100 btc in gambling just because you are bored. Most of the time, one big reason why a gambling is addicting is because of money, people tend to look at it as an opportunity to earn.

wow 100 btc is a serious amount. hopefully you were able to at least gain some of it back. well i think aside from the money and the opportunity to earn, which doesn't all the time happen, i think it's that feeling that you get when you gamble that keeps one coming back to gamble more. there's this kind of excitement that gambling brings. it's that feeling that you are hooked to it so much that sometimes even if you want to stand up and stop, you can't. add to the fact that there will be times when you will actually gain money from it.
