9501  Economy / Gambling / Re: MyDiceBot - Cross-Platform | Multi-Script-Language | Multi-Site | Multi-Strategy on: October 27, 2018, 08:57:40 AM
As eternalgloom says, I think we're all very happy you decided to go full open source and free to use/modify. Interesting that you chose 999dice as your first functional site to use, is there a reason you chose that above other sites?

Do add BitDice to your list - a lot of users, also one of the oldest names in the dice business, and growing with a lot of users especially with updates due to be released any time now.
9502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Blockchain Tokens for Casino on: October 27, 2018, 08:21:52 AM
Most established casinos with their own business and clientele would already have their own tokens, in addition to loyalty features built in to the casino. BitDice for example already has their CSNO tokens, which holders have the benefit of sharing in casino profits every quarter, in addition to them being liquid on exchanges for trading.

I suppose if you yourself get a string of casinos to sign up, it might be worth something, but they would all have to somehow connect to blockchain I guess for those calculations of wager amounts? Not feasible for a blockchain not many use I think (Ardor).
9503  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbook Without a License on: October 26, 2018, 04:28:07 PM
Hmm... serious process of legalization and regulation of the gambling markets started relatively recently, so no wonder that some sportsbooks/casinos had no licence and could work like that. And nowadays, even though they all can cheat players, I still prefer to play at licensed casinos/sportsbooks.

I'm the complete opposite. I only play at crypto casinos and sportsbooks, and I think only 1 of them is licensed, or maybe not at all (I can't really be bothered). Have I been cheated at casinos? Yes. Have they been licensed? Yup! And did the license help me when I tried to claim my funds? Good luck, they never helped me.

Trust in crypto is a strange thing. Like on this forum, you can trust DT1 members... but it still doesn't guarantee anything. Same as crypto casinos. They can work well for 5 years and scam one day. Just to be safe, gamble, withdraw, and be done.
9504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investigation: 12 of 22 Sites agreed to publish paid content without disclaimer on: October 26, 2018, 04:05:23 PM
OP is right. In many newspapers also you will clearly see a section where the articles are "sponsored" and it is marked sponsored content. Even for articles where people don't pay but the articles are clearly not in public interest but simply advertorials, then the section is marked under "advertorials". So you will still read the articles but seldom find anything negative, but it's not a problem because then we know, these are just "advertising" or "promotions".

They should get fined if so.
9505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbook/Casino Owner "5Dimes Tony" found dead after ransom was paid in BTC on: October 26, 2018, 02:30:48 PM
Well, it is risky to act like than in any part of the world, who knows whom you might annoy. And no bodyguards? that's a bit reckless, don't you think? Now, if it was someone in the family... that's another thing.

Comes with the territory I guess. I don't think you get called "5dimes tony" for being under the radar and I don't think you get wealthy like that for not talking up yourself every day in the industry. But yeah, these types of cases usually connected to family or business acquaintances. Never good to hear it like that, and yet another bad name for BTC, just because it was used to pay the ransom.

Damn news people keep picking up clickbait.
9506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we still "Early Adopters"? on: October 26, 2018, 01:51:32 PM
Considering how low the price is, the number of tech giants studying about the blockchain, and the unending hearing by the government agencies and lots others. I can comfortably say that we are early adopters since the vast majority of the public are still wondering if this is a bubble as been erroneously alleged by some selfish expert.

I agree that the price is low now. In spite of that, I don't think we are early adopters. If we are early adopters, then what about those who bought bitcoin at 1 dollar or mined many bitcoins easily usong a laptop?

I don't understand what price has to do with anything. You have coins that are years old and still never reach any certain price. You have fiat currencies that people use everywhere and yet their value goes down year after year. Heard of the US dollar? The later you "get in" on USD, the cheaper it is every day. Early adopters of US dollar bought it at very high prices, don't you think.

Anyway, pointless to ask this question and get in only if you're early adopters. Ask those who thought they were too late in 2012, 2014, 2016.
9507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pay for picks? on: October 25, 2018, 01:45:58 PM
First time I've seen anyone asking to send Bitcoin to burn addresses. Sounds like a "good" way to keep ensuring supply is burnt forever, even if forever doesn't exist in crypto!

But yeah, I don't know why anyone would pay for picks when there are plenty to choose from, especially when paid tipsters often show a lot of losses after a while. In the end it's just luck. I will say from what I can see is that those who do well don't seem to advertise very much, happy to earn from their loyal base of customers.
9508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: October 25, 2018, 11:50:12 AM
Liverpool will be playing against Red Star Belgrade at the stadium of Anfield today in the Uefa Champions League, this is a match that Liverpool would surely want to claim all the 3 points, I believe with the quality of the players playing in Liverpool, they would easily be able to beat Red Star Belgrade in front of their home fans today, the odds payout on Liverpool to win the match in full time might be low, but I would still place a bet on it and I hope Liverpool will not disappoint me today.

It was something like 1.05 on Liverpool, so I never take those odds, and handicap 2.5 seemed too big for me to make 19/10 odds, but I should have gone for it. It's just Liverpool haven't played very well, wasn't confident they'd score more than 2 (or maybe 3 but let in 1). Barcelona at 1.5 was better, which I took.

Surprisingly Arsenal tonight is 1.9 but maybe because they find it hard to score away. Chelsea you have to bet Total Goals over 4 to get 1.9 so also too risky, considering Hazard is injured.
9509  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What places do you do your shopping online ? on: October 25, 2018, 11:12:47 AM
Which country is it that accepts Bitcoin for Groupon? Or how do you give rebate for that? I purchase some things from Groupon depending on the offers, usually for devices pre-order or even for travel tickets. Most recently I used it for World Cup stickers, but I've always been asked to pay by card or bank transfer. Never saw a Bitcoin option. Can anyone show me how to use BTC for Groupon?
9510  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What are some relatively passive ways to increase cryptocurrency holdings? on: October 25, 2018, 09:05:13 AM
You'll find several opportunities other than mining which actually, in my opinion, isn't really passive, as any miner can tell you, it's almost a full time job really because you always have to monitor and maintain. First thing that comes to mind is investment in casino bankrolls, there are several which offer the chance.

Others like BitDice (in my signature) you can buy the native tokens that are linked to profit sharing every quarter. That's truly passive but of course carries a risk like all investments.

9512  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: October 16, 2018, 04:00:06 AM
Enth, people show you the math, you have to learn to accept it. A 0.06% chance means you can see this happening 1 in 1667 times. You know how EASY that actually is especially on autobet? I can roll about 100 in less than a min, so if I roll an hour, I would definitely see this happen several times

You actually admit it yourself. You said "almost impossible", and you said "94% chance to win".

You want to see 94% chance to win losing bets everyday? Check sportsbooks and see 1.01 odds teams lose.

That's really the whole point of gambling, anything can and will happen. It's a bit sad to see people like Enth that can't grasp the basics like that.

Exactly! They are so happy to take winnings when they win, and god imagine if they win some million dollar jackpot that they will ever question the improbability of it. But when the more likely outcome happens (which is they eventually lose) then they get so angry and question the nature of logic.

We all gamble, knowing that it is more likely to lose, than to win big. But that's part of the appeal. To somehow make it when we're supposed not to. And that's sort of the beauty of it too!

9514  Economy / Gambling / Re: Anyone ever make affiliates on mBit or Cloudbet? on: October 15, 2018, 07:53:02 AM
I know the thread doesn't seem to get much attention, and successful affiliates don't seem to want to share their strategies for success any more, not especially in this market, but I'd like to ask out here something I've noticed: At sites I have seen where affiliates are transparent the trend is always the same. Some guy with big audience gets loads of referrals, and commissions come flowing in. And then it stops one day for no reason.

But the affiliate links are still there. The traffic, I guess, is still there. But the people no longer click or deposit? Is this common for all affiliates? I always thought it I put my hand at it I might create something but maybe there are things I don't understand?
9515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this sound realistic? on: October 14, 2018, 12:35:38 PM
I think OP has a good point, and I have seen several people and sites also recommend the same thing, which is to treat gambling as a part-time hobby or entertainment. And to treat deposits like a payment for a service and entertainment, which you should not expect to get back.

But maybe the problem also lies with the marketing and advertising of gambling. Maybe we can also encourage casino owners to advertise their services as entertainment, rather than a chance to win money. I know this is impossible and as a business model, this is exactly what needs to be advertised (the chance to win big). But perhaps at deposit, casinos can show some responsibility and alert the player with messages that ask them "this is a lot of money, are you sure you want to deposit it? You may lose it all" or something along those lines?
9516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Perfect Dice experience on: October 14, 2018, 11:32:24 AM
Decent (human) support that don't repeat themselves and withdrawal times..

most of the dice sites have automatic withdrawals nowadays , cannot remember one that doesn't
well unless it is some third tier new site with no bankroll
or bitdouble  Tongue which is notorious for having manual withdrawals ( a very good site otherwise)
support is helpful when you are having troubles, yes , Stake has a good one, for example
I prefer to not have to resort to support's help, just depo, play and withdraw

As far as I know, there are still other sites that do things semi-automatic from hotwallet, sort of like exchanges do. Meaning, they collect all the requests for a fixed period, say like 5 minutes, and then complete them all in batch transactions. I don't mind this at all to be honest, as it saves some fees for the site, and probably also for the users. It can also be that some sites just don't want to have the hotwallet as a security measure. I don't think manual withdrawals is really such a bad thing for regular players. It's not like I withdraw every day.
9517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters should be paid in ETH on: October 14, 2018, 09:57:21 AM
If the bounty can use ETH as a payment method, then I believe that the bounty activity can attract more professional hunters, but sadly most merchants will not accept such an idea!

You must really be delusional. There's really so such thing as professional hunters. Just hunters who know how to get the most out of bounties, 100% for their benefit and 0% for their projects. Paying in ETH will probably attract the more serious people true, but it will also attract the scammers with their hundreds of multi accounts.

I would agree that campaigns paying in hard crypto like ETH/BTC should be the way for serious projects to go, but this must also come with strict implementation of the campaign. A good manager that monitors QUALITY, not just ACTIVITY. A campaign that has objectives, not just numbers. Members that are active participants in crypto, not just bounty hunters.
9518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] THANKS TOKENS - ONE OF THE MOST SIMPLE TOKEN SALES SO FAR! on: October 14, 2018, 08:19:25 AM
Hello OP, just curious, would you care to share what has happened so far with THANKS token? Did you ever get to sell anything and have you had any interest other than from buyers?

I guess I am asking because of curiosity. I am probably from the same background as you. I wouldn't say I'm poor because I have a job, and can use internet, but I have to be careful every week to not overspend money. Want to share your experience?
9519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH: is destined to be $2500 by October to December 2018! on: October 14, 2018, 07:54:10 AM
These predictions were written a few months ago. I am sure that the author has already corrected his vision of the Ethereum price by the end of this year. The price drop to $200 is a fall of over 80%, so we can assume that all who have lost their hope in ETH have cleaned up their wallets. November and December are the favorite months of price increases, so we can expect (at least temporarily) to reverse the market trend. $2,500 is unachievable, but I think that $500 - $800 is a very real goal.

Yeah, right. We're talking about a guy who predicted a DOUBLING of ATH in a few months. Based on nothing but the same speculation of mooning that altcoins just keep wanting to use.

October's half done and ETH is back below $200. He's either crawling away to a new account or saying that the 2.5k price is delayed by a few months, or probably being active on another account where his other predictions came true.

$500 a real goal? So ETH will push 150% in 6 weeks? Looks like the whole market hasn't lost their enthusiasm!
9520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: professional advertisers please advice on: October 14, 2018, 07:28:48 AM
You already have a blockchain, it is already mining, and yet you are looking for investors.

Ask yourself what is wrong with that first post in OP. Ask yourself, if you are an investor and looking for opportunities to invest in, would you have been interested in your own project as you advertised?

Ask yourself what would make you invest, and you answer it by making your post more interesting.

Make a business offer. And make sure there is a proper calculation behind how it can make money. Crypto isn't guaranteed profits anymore.
