9541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin implants? on: March 23, 2017, 01:49:04 PM
Couldn't there be a problem with people hacking the data on the chip. I wouldn't trust the security of something like that, but it's not a bad idea to start with.

Yeah. If manufacturers of the chip don't employ strong security methods, then it would be prone to hacking and theft of funds. To be on the safe side, they could choose to make the chip require a number of private keys (like multisig) to unlock the funds. That way, when the hacker of thief tries to steal your Bitcoin over the chip, they would have no luck doing so, since they would only have access to a single key, while the rest would be required to unlock access to the Bitcoins stored on that chip.

I believe that as technology evolves, we would be able to see microchips implanted into every people, where it would contain your personal information, as well as your financial information. Probably, by that time governments would issue their own digital currencies, eliminating physical paper money once and all, and bringing the convenience of digital payments, all within the microchip embedded into your body. This might be not far from becoming a reality at some point in the future. Just my opinion.  Grin
9542  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: March 23, 2017, 01:30:43 PM
True that it's risky but your chance of making a good profit is also good, there are traders who made fortune in altcoins as being a day trader will give you the opportunity to take advantage of the price pump and dump. It's like a game that you need to focus, it's very volatile and that what's trader like as a characteristics of an asset.

Yes. That is why cryptocurrencies might be one of the most profitable ways to trade with them due to their volatility, which makes it a trader's dream. If price movement of altcoins are analyzed correctly, traders can exploit their strategies to make the most out of them.

I've seen many alts which are pump and dump, having a constant pattern in price movement, making it the ideal choice to make profit from them by just buying low and selling high. Be aware though, while they're great for making profits in short term, they're not ideal for long term investments nor to become used as a store of value. Thus if you're looking for coins that help serve this purpose, you're better off investing into the top 5 cryptocurrencies like ETH and Dash to help secure your investments for the long term.

As Bitcoin's future becomes uncertain due to possibility of hard fork, and scalability issues, investors are moving into altcoins making them rise in price, and bringing a constant stream of profits for those who have invested in them earlier. Just sharing my thoughts.  Smiley
9543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Zcash worth to invest in it? on: March 23, 2017, 12:02:49 PM
Most recently, ZEC's price have been rising near the $80 mark, but I believe that this is temporary l, and the coin would return to its original levels once the altcoin hype is over (because of traders moving into alts because of Bitcoin's slow confirmation times)
You mean if they're using zcash to be off-chain transaction? I don't think so. It caused by the hardfork rumour of bitcoin. Most of the bitcoin holders are scared to see the chain of bitcoin will be splitting in the future and they're just trying to save his decimal into another coin.
Looks like that's happening on ethereum and dash too.

I meant because of Bitcoin's latest scaling debate, which has caused many traders and investors to look out for other alternatives. As Bitcoin's future is uncertain, many who are into Bitcoin (like me) are moving their cards into other promising coins. So far, Dash looks very promising as it has a wide array for features like instant transactions, privacy, and a hashing algorithm which is ASIC resistant, allowing anyone with a GPU to mine coins easily.

Nevertheless, I hope that would get the attention it deserves, by improving itself each day in development and innovation. The technology that it provides is very convenient for transaction privacy, and might solve one of Bitcoin's known issues called fungibility. With ZK-SNARK tech, cryptocurrencies can become fungible just like cash.

It is up to this date, where ZCash doesn't even have a usable GUI. (not to mention that it is exclusively for use in Linux now) In contrast, Komodo provides Zcash features, along with a stable GUI, a DEX, multicurrency wallet, and more. This last one has potential to increase in price sometime in the future. Right now it is below ICO price, but you can take advantage of this opportunity to buy cheap coins and claim huge profit, once its value begins to rise.

At least we must wait until the KMD dev will fix his broken chain. Currently, the komodo coin is under the hardfork for his chain.

Yeah. The Iguana wallet for Komodo still has a few bugs, but I believe that once they're addressed in the stable version, the price of each coin will rise probably at ICO levels or higher. That's why I've been holding into the coin for quite some time, and I'm not planning to spend it until an uptrend in price come out. The features it provides, are truly remarkable and may become a better alternative than ZEC itself. Just my opinion.  Grin
9544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a bagholder? Which altcoins do you hold? on: March 23, 2017, 11:57:20 AM
XAUR and Doge are no longer profitable coin.  It is waste of time and money on bagging that two coin.  Only ETH and XMR are the best to hold until the end.  They are the counterpart of bitcoin in my opinion

Agree. Both XAUR and DOGE are only meant to be used for quick transactions, but not as a store of value nor as a means for long term investing. As for ETH and XMR, they have been performing quite well with prices reaching all time highs (especially ETH). If you're considering holding good alts, then that would be the top 5 cryptocurrencies like ETH, DASH, XMR and ETC.

These last ones are very ideal for long term investing, as they have a constant uptrend in price. Still, if you're bagholding a wide list of altcoins, I'd recommend you to get rid of most of them, to keep your list short and be able to manage them easily. Having too much altcoins can be troublesome, especially having to setup wallets for every one of them. Just my thoughts.  Smiley
9545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: March 23, 2017, 11:52:12 AM
Yea, yea and dogecoin is still alive until today because still there is values in dogecoin although it is just couples satoshi on exchangers altcoins, we will be worrying if dogecoin's price become one satoshi, it is dangerous for the future of dogecoin its self, if the altcoins become one satoshi it will be die but it is just my opinions saw the past altcoins on exchangers.

I guess you're right. If Dogecoin remains usable, and its value becomes more than 1 satoshi, there should be nothing to worry about. The best thing that DOGE has right now, is that its network is not clogged with users, leaving it free to process any transaction at blazing fast speeds. I think that it may never need to implement a scalable solution such as SegWit or increasing the block size, in contrast to Bitcoin.

Nevertheless, I hope that even if there would be no development or innovation for Dogecoin, it would become supported by the community for years to come. If there is at least 1 node on the network, the cryptocurrency would remain alive and usable. Just my opinion.   Grin
9546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency is the fastest? on: March 23, 2017, 11:44:01 AM
Bitcoin's Lighting Network will be the fastest.
Maybe Ethereum's Raiden Network aswell.

Yes. These solutions will greatly enhance transaction capacity to the aforementioned cryptocurrencies, making them faster than ever. Still, the Lightning Network would require a scalable solution to become widely accepted first (like SegWit), to become into effect and increase confirmation speeds for Bitcoin. I'm not sure if Ethereum's Raiden network is the same, but up until now, there are better cryptocurrencies out there with faster (and almost instant) transactions between users.

I believe that until Bitcoin gets either proposed solutions approved, other alternative cryptocurrencies might take the advantage by delivering blazing fast speeds when it comes to transacting, making them the ideal choice for everyday transactions and micropayments. Just my thoughts.

By the way, I'm mostly looking for instant cryptocurrencies (like Dash). If anyone knows of any other altcoin that assimilates Dash's instant transaction speeds, feel free to share it here.  Smiley
9547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: March 23, 2017, 11:27:47 AM
I was wondering sometimes why some of the community here are always comparing Paypal into bitcoin. Does Paypal can be use for trading?Does Paypal has value increase like Gold? these questioned has been pop up in my mind, there are many things which bitcoin is better than Paypal, like Paypal can't be trade in any exchange, and Paypal has no volatility like what bitcoin has. So stop, comparing or compete it to Paypay because paypal is not like bitcoin.

You do have a point there, mate. With Bitcoin, you can do more than PayPal. As the latter is just a payment processor, Bitcoin is both a currency, and a payment processor. The pioneer cryptocurrency is like a DAC (Decentralized Autonomous Corporation) where you become a shareholder of that company's asset. With Bitcoin, you earn "dividends" by contributing to its network strength with your hashrate.

While both have similarities as payment processors, they are different from one another and can co-exist in the future. I think that sometime, PayPal will adopt Bitcoin within its platform, to give the users the convenience of depositing or withdrawing BTC from their PayPal accounts (not to mention making a bridge between PayPal and Bitcoin for businesses that only accept the former like eBay)

Nevertheless, as Bitcoin's future is uncertain (due to harkfork/scalability concerns), it would be much difficult to consider the pioneer cryptocurrency to compete with traditional payment processors anytime soon. Just sharing my thoughts.  Smiley
9548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi reveals himself, what would be of Bitcoin? on: March 21, 2017, 12:39:11 PM
Go for direct experience!! What do you think when you face the waterfall? What do you think when you have sex? What do you think when you take psilocybin? Everything else is an unconfirmable humor, useless, probably lies. So liberate yourself from the illusion of culture. Take responsibility from what you think and what you do.
© Terence McKenna

Everybody is searching for truth, thats a human nature, always asking something they don't know, So if one day you know Satoshi identity what will you do? So let's make this scenario, Nakamoto reveals himself..... So what will happen? I think Bitcoin will still be Bitcoin when Nakamoto reveals himself. It will remain as a code. What won't be the same is how we perceive when we know the truth. How we react. I don't actually know the true reason why Satoshi hide himself, but if he did. Will people still believe, will people still have faith in its potential. This is just my speculations. Bitcoin is still running  and we are all enjoying the ride.
What is the destination?
Well we're all dying to find out.

I think that once Satoshi reveals himself, there will be more confidence in Bitcoin by attracting more investors into it. There will be a massive hype all around mainstream media, to users within the BTC community, making the price reach to higher levels than ever before. Also, Satoshi might put an end to the scaling debate, as he may bring a better solution towards increasing Bitcoin's capacity, in my own opinion.

The only problem would be, the massive pressure from governments and banks trying to shutdown Bitcoin by making Satoshi dump coins from the genesis address. If this happens, then Bitcoin will massively plummet in price.

In the bright side, Satoshi is still a mystery, making Bitcoin operate as normal regardless of any user, or entity. Its decentralization makes it an ideal system for everyday payments without the need of an intermediary. Thanks to Satoshi's creation, we have the freedom to choose what we do with our funds, and be our own bank. Just my opinion.  Grin
9549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What were your experiences with Bitcoin when you first started? on: March 21, 2017, 12:30:56 PM
nothing is wasted when you're studying in bitcoin. Faucets are made your patience be better at least you can know there are many other methods and better appreciate the various methods and you will know getting a lot of bitcoin is not easy

Agree. The more time you spend studying Bitcoin and its underlying technology, the more knowledgeable you will become, eventually making you an expert in the field with the possibility of having a career sometime in the future. As businesses and companies become more interested into Bitcoin's revolutionary tech, they will seek people who have the necessary skills to help them maintain and secure blockchains.

When you first start with Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, you use faucets to help you earn satoshis, making you learn how sending and receiving transaction works. While this is not ideal for making an income out of it, it is great to gather the attention of newbies into using this system and expand their knowledge about cryptocurrencies.

Nevertheless, the more expensive Bitcoin gets, the harder it will be for you to earn a full Bitcoin. You would need to find new ways to establish your income within the cryptocurrency sector, and make your own successful investment strategies that will help you pave the way towards financial freedom. Always make use of Google, and this forum to become a better experienced user each day. Your knowledge can help others who are new into cryptocurrencies to get started. Just sharing my thoughts.  Smiley
9550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a bagholder? Which altcoins do you hold? on: March 21, 2017, 01:40:36 AM
Yeah monero is the choice for money people as it's main focus is privacy and there are guys who believe that monero is the future of crypto ( of course after bitcoins ) I have in past collected some chunks of monero and even profited with them.

But right now the only coin that I am holding is Iconomi and that too I don't know what to do with, it is just like a mistake I invested with them.
Anyways monero is good yeah, any similar coin you can suggest mate which may rise significantly in coming days ?

In my opinion, Monero is one of the best privacy preserving cryptocurrencies on the market. It is one of the coins that should be ahead of DASH in marketcap, as its anonymity features are stronger than DASH. Not to mention, it has been adopted by some major darknet markets, making its potential to rise in price even higher.

Right now, thanks to XMR and Dash's recent uptrend in price, I have made quite some good profit, and seeing the latest interest into privacy preserving cryptocurrencies, people will invest more into these coins as they realize that Bitcoin is not completely anonymous.

Nevertheless, for coins that would be worth holding this year, those would be DASH, Monero, and Ethereum due to their constant uptrend in price. Just my opinion.  Grin
9551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: March 21, 2017, 01:38:16 AM

During the first week of January 2017, the market cap of bitcoin was standing at 15.8 Billion USD and within just one month, it has reached to 17.35 billion USD. 1.55 billion USD increase in just one month!! That's incredible!! That is even faster than any countries economy. At this speed, bitcoin will outpace many other currencies in 2017.

I think that bitcoin will reach 1300 USD by this quarter and find a support at 1100 level only if the current market cap continues. But if people start withdrawing money from bitcoin, it may not stand there. However, in 2017, we all will be lucky enough to see a huge rally in bitcoin price for sure. I'm really excited to see that.

Yes. Since Bitcoin has increased in price over the years, it is an ideal choice for investing and holding onto your balance. It has so many properties that make it even more useful than fiat currency.

Even though sometimes Bitcoin's price decline (due to negative news, etc) it aims to correct itself on the markets, making it stronger than ever in value. The latest news of SEC rejecting the ETF, as well as, the scalability controversy, has made Bitcoin's value to decrease a little, but I'm sure that it will go back to its original levels and reach an ATH by the end of this year.

I expect to see Bitcoin being worth between the $1300-$1500 range when this year closes. It can even rise more than that, but I think that it would need a scalable solution to become approved before this happens. Just my thoughts.  Smiley
9552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: March 21, 2017, 01:21:13 AM
Dogecoin is an inflationary coin. While it may have a stable price and be very useful in micro-transaction, it is unlikely to attract speculative investors. So the price is not likely to take off.

Yes. Its current supply would render it difficult to increase in value, at any point in time. Despite the facts, Dogecoin will continue to be used to introduce people into cryptocurrency. Being an extremely inexpensive coin, anyone can get into it, and start sending/receiving micropayments.

Because of its nature, it can be easily implemented into games for kids of all ages to play and earn Dogecoin. That is why, in my eyes, Dogecoin will be one of the best altcoins worth using for almost anything you like.

Nevertheless, I hope that Dogecoin would remain alive for years to come, even if no development is made into it. Just sharing my thoughts.  Smiley
9553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency is the fastest? on: March 21, 2017, 01:08:18 AM
@everyone Thanks for sharing these altcoins with fast block speeds. They would become very useful if adopted by major merchants and businesses worldwide. I've read that BitShares is capable of handling up to 100,000 TPS which makes it very ideal to handle large transaction volume. Also, it has a block time of 1 second which makes it confirm almost instantly.

You can check out BTS performance info: https://bitshares.org/technology/industrial-performance-and-scalability/

MINT is 30 second block time, transactions are fully confirmed and re-spendable again after 2 minutes.

Great! I've heard a lot about MINT, and it has been one of the Proof of Stake currencies that has grabbed my attention. I used to have some MINT before, but I had to sell them out, as I needed the BTC. Still, I'll be willing to go back into it since it is a truly unique PoS coin, which doesn't require you to leave the wallet open 24/7 to receive stakes.  Grin
9554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Zcash worth to invest in it? on: March 21, 2017, 12:56:04 AM
A DumpCash pump with no new news to result in it. This is why its called DumpCash because it will be dumped again especially with other alts that work better and without the special interest

Yeah. Until nothing exciting comes out for ZCash, in my own opinion, it will have a hard time trying to fit in the markets and become a popular cryptocurrency for financial privacy.

Most recently, ZEC's price have been rising near the $80 mark, but I believe that this is temporary l, and the coin would return to its original levels once the altcoin hype is over (because of traders moving into alts because of Bitcoin's slow confirmation times)

It is up to this date, where ZCash doesn't even have a usable GUI. This last one has potential to increase in price sometime in the future. Right now it is below ICO price, but you can take advantage of this opportunity to buy cheap coins and claim huge profit, once its value begins to rise.

Nevertheless, only time will tell whenever these ZCash/Zcoin based cryptocurrencies will succeed and become useful in the mainstream world. Just my thoughts.  Smiley
9555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: March 21, 2017, 12:12:22 AM
Yes, Bitcoin will overcome paypal for the below reasons
1.Very low transaction fees.
2.Instant transfer
3.Merchants will prefer it in future as payment is irreversible.
4.No need to provide your personal details.

Agree. Those key points are what makes Bitcoin a very useful payment processor, leaving you with complete freedom over your funds. You can lend, trade, earn, and even make a living with Bitcoin. There is no central operator (unlike PayPal) which has control over your funds. No one can freeze of seize your funds, leaving you with complete control of your money with just your private key.

As for point #2, I’d say that Bitcoin would need to improve in that part, as transactions over the BTC network takes hours to confirm. Once BU or SegWit gets approved, then things will change drastically for the digital currency, making it rival traditional payment processors like PayPal, Visa and MasterCard.

I think that for point #2, Dash is suitable for instant transactions, as it has InstantX technology, making transactions confirm in an average of 2-3 seconds.

Nevertheless, I hope that Bitcoin would gain enough traction, and stability for it to become a stronger rival against centralized payment systems. Just my opinion.  Grin

Dash has InstantSend, which is about 2 seconds and gives you 4 confirmations on a transaction.
It also has that transaction locked to prevent double-spending.

Yes. It is one of my favorite cryptocurrencies because of this feature. I'm not sure if there would exist a much faster cryptocurrency, but so far it seems like Dash has the lead. It also has a block size limit of 2MB in contrast to Bitcoin, with its never ending block size debate.  Roll Eyes

about cryptocurency is fastes transaction and confirmation
i think is the best dogecoin , and dogecoin is very low fee sending too, so is enjoy use dogecoin

I think so too. Especially for micropayments, as it makes it an ideal cryptocurrency to tip others. Due to its inexpensive nature, it is very easy to obtain, allowing anyone to get into it and learn more about cryptocurrencies.  Smiley
9558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: March 18, 2017, 12:00:00 AM

same as me,,
i like doge, this one is my favourite cryptocurrency when i trade on an exchange,,
but in my opinion,, if dogecoin didn't explore the feature maybe the price of this coin will falling again and again my friends

here some articles about this cryptocurrency
https://cointelegraph.com/news/dogecoin-a-joke-that-turned-into-a-multi-million-dollar-business

Yeah man. As well as you, I'm a huge fan of Dogecoin as it provides faster transactions and serves as a better way for micropayments, than Bitcoin. Nowadays, it is extremely cheap but in my eyes, it will always be a valuable cryptocurrency to me. I'm hoping that the dev team could step up, and deliver innovation to this fun meme coin, to help it become popular once more. In the meantime, it would be just to buying lots of DOGE for me.  Smiley
9559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What were your experiences with Bitcoin when you first started? on: March 17, 2017, 11:33:26 PM
It also happened to as a useless cryptocurrency at the first tim, I didn't  even treated it as a currency when I first read it. It was also my regret that I didn't try to earn bitcoin, where I've known it since I was high school.
But now that I am earning them, it is a very warm feeling that with all that hard work you are now earning and it was really worth it.

Same as me. I've thought that Bitcoin was just another payment processor, (and sometimes a scam) when I've first started. But thanks to the friendly community of BitcoinTalk, I was able to gain faith on the cryptocurrency, with the willing to go on. It is today, and I've became a more confident user of this revolutionary cryptocurrency, that it is changing our world at a fast pace. The thing about Bitcoin that have attracted me the most, was its underlying technology.

Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to expand my knowledge of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, to become an expert in the future.  Smiley
9560  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: March 17, 2017, 11:23:30 PM
Yes, simple 2 things we must follow, we must buy when the price fall and sell when the price is high. right now the price is very good. Right now i will not sell the bitcoin as i want to get more benefit from it then only i will sell it. Anyways bitcoin will benefit either in  investing or selling our coin.

Yes. That is one of the key principles, that will help you make profit in any kind of cryptocurrency or asset. This is especially when you automate your trading to buy and sell, maximizing your chances of success in the long term.

I usually try to invest on pump and dump coins for this matter, as they turn out to become profitable over time. Not all of them are ideal, but there are some alts which have a constant price movement, making it ideal for this task.

Nevertheless, as with any investment, always proceed with caution before making any decision. Just my thoughts.  Smiley
