9581  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning! FAKE Cryptomixer site in Google Ads, people loose money. on: July 07, 2020, 02:28:16 PM
I wrote abuse tiket on Adwords and Hosting (Namecheap).
But that shit is still exist! How to block it??

I know that I cant get back my btc but please help me to prevent other people trap in!

It's very easy to set up a page and start advertising via Google Ads, but sometimes it takes a long time for Google to stop running a malicious ad or to block the page from showing in the browser. Report to the domain and hosting provider can last even longer, at least from my own experience.

What you can do is report the fake page here : https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en , and in order for the report to be effective, be sure to provide a legitimate page, maybe even link to this thread. As a result of a successful report, most browsers will display a message about a deceptive page, which will be enough for someone else to not make the same mistake.
9582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: wallet.counterwallet on: July 07, 2020, 02:07:39 PM
You can import your wallet into Electrum. It will let you to select the fee manually. In Electrum, choose the fee as low as possible.

His wallet also allows the fee to be set manually, and so does blockchain.com if he chooses Customize Fee option. It is possible that this is really a problem of dust transactions, or that both online wallets suffer from the same problem (blockchain users report such thing in last few days).

In case Electrum is not able to send the transaction, the only solution is to send a certain amount of BTC to that wallet, which will then cover the fee. The way to check this is to enter all the parameters of the transaction, and then click on the Preview button where you can see the size of the transaction/number of inputs. For example if you have Legacy type wallet, and transaction with 10 inputs/1 output and you want confirmation in next 6 blocks, size of such transaction will be around 1520 bytes (23 sat/byte) which is 35052 satoshis ($3.25).

I use this calculator : https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/fee-calculator/
9583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Victim in need of help! on: July 07, 2020, 01:23:27 PM
~snip~

If you had at least first asked a question like this, on any crypto forum, or if you had called your tax office or police, this would not have happened to you. Such frauds have become quite common, and countries such as Canada and Australia are most often mentioned, where victims have been persuaded to pay taxes via BTC using crypto ATM.

What you actually did was buy a BTC worth $1000, and that code you mention is actually an address where your BTC is transferred. There is a difference in the way you get to the purchased BTC, in the way that your ATM issues a paper receipt with a QR code, which you can then scan with your crypto wallet in order to control your coins. In case you already have a crypto wallet, you scan the QR code of your existing address to which the ATM sends you BTC.

In this case, you seem to have sent your private key to the fraudster, but to be sure, download Electrum (https://electrum.org/#download) and scan the code to import your private key by following this tutorial - > https://bitcoinelectrum.com/importing-your-private-keys-into-electrum/

Let me know please that pan european agency that controls residence/non residence status of all people in EU and then matches  VISA/Mastercard transactions against that data? Do you really think it is possible, especially in terms of privacy regulations?  Shocked
My relative has obtained a residence permit in Poland and state authorities could not even check without his passport stamps how many days a year he stayed in EU.
What a nonsense!
Do not mislead people on the forum, your hypothesis is not your experience.

Considering that we are talking here about the Russian Bank, and the alleged Russian citizens who sell their legal bank cards to interested customers through intermediaries - there is something called Schengen Visa that every Russian citizen must get in order to enter the EU (legally of course). Such a visa is usually valid for a maximum of 90 days after it is issued, and the issuance of the visa and monitoring of its duration is supervised by the immigration authorities via a database.

First thing that you should know, is that an overstayed visa never goes unnoticed. The immigration authorities have registered in their databases every person that enters and leaves the Schengen, and every overstaying, even just for a day, is recorded. Secondly, intentional or unintentional, no overstaying is left unpunished. It could be a fine, immediate deportation or even getting banned from entering the Schengen Zone for a specific amount of time.

I am not misleading people or writing nonsense, there is nothing wrong with what I have stated in any post.
9585  Economy / Economics / Re: Rising tensions and effect on global trade on: July 07, 2020, 09:59:40 AM
Update:
Just days after the ban on Chinese apps by India, the U.S. appears to be planning a similar action.

This only confirms what I wrote in my previous post, and that is that India is not making such moves on its own, but that it is under the influence of the US which values only cheap labor in China. Everything else is bad and a threat to national security, and even one application used mainly by teenagers is a danger? In the end, it all comes down to who is spying on whom - or rather, use Facebook and Twitter so that only our local security agencies can spy on you.

In other words, it is normal for us to spy on the whole world - but we will not allow anyone to spy on us Roll Eyes Well, good luck with that idea, but as you treat others, they will they treat you.

"...According to the World Bank, India imports more goods from China than any other country, buying more than $90 billion worth of products in 2018 including machinery and electronics, chemicals and consumer goods. It exported less than a fifth of that amount to China.

In my view of the situation, this development does not surprise me at all, because it is only a policy of weakening China in the sense to prevent them to become the world's leading economic power. But that doesn't mean that India is doing it on its own, but that the whole thing has long been cooked in the US kitchen.

The war in the economy and the dominance over world control has been going on for decades between the USA (and its allies) on the one hand, and China (and its allies) on the other. The man who has become very important in the Trump administration is called Michael Pillsbury, and his book The Hundred-Year Marathon reveals some things he thinks have been done wrong for decades, resulting in a complete turn towards China.

A trade war between China and India would only mean an even greater weakening of China, as India will have to turn to imports from some other countries. I don't think you need to be too intelligent to see the bigger picture of the problem, and here the economic-political war is obviously at work in what seems to be its initial stage.
9588  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Russian Court: Theft Of 100 BTC Isn’t A Crime Because Bitcoin Isn’t Property on: July 06, 2020, 01:38:25 PM
Can you point to anywhere that mentions that?

It is very likely that the source of this information is from this page ->

The scam of scams is officially registered in Moscow, Russia. It is impossible to find more details about the business niche they are involved in, but one is sure just few months ago Russia policy was harsh to crypto currencies. The other fact that even BTC-E exchange is registered in Bulgaria tell us enough.

The main yobit server is located in San Francisco where the HashOcean phantom office was too. Yobit.net has a reserve domain registred somewhere in Panama (The prosperous land for ponzi schemes).

https://whois.domaintools.com/yobit.net

What is no secret is actually the fact that everyone who earns some significant income in Russia (large companies or individuals), must pay compensation to the state, not only in the form of regular taxes, but also under the table.
9589  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is most likely the reason why Bitcoin has been less volatile lately on: July 06, 2020, 10:34:03 AM
It means we will slowly correct to 6k area. I am still holding my short position. I can't be sure this is a ABCDE pattern, I still see 3k as possible, anyway 2022-2023 should be very good for the bulls  Kiss I might even lose my bet in 2021  Undecided

Your analysis has been predicting for months that the price will fall very low, but the price is very stable and holds mostly above $9000. I don't see the point in all these TAs that turn out to be completely wrong in your case.

Or... wait until end of May to see if Bitcoin price breaks the downtrend above 9.5k, then 10.5k and decide accordingly. My opinion is if we see a price above 10.5k this year, 20k will be very quickly reached. However, if we are rejected again, we might see a lower low compared to previous low (3.7k), which means 3k area, maybe even below.

Now if we are rejected again at 10.5k, we will see 3k soon or even below that. The dragonfly doji is a good sign but we need a confirmation at the resistance mentioned above.

Whales troll the market, pump to $11.7k then dump with a possible crash to $3.1k area.

And it's more than obvious that you're pretty obsessed with the $3k area, but the only thing you can count on is something like a market crash due to a pandemic, which could happen if the second wave again leads to a lockdown.
9590  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Another fake Trezor Wallet website asking for your seed phrase on: July 06, 2020, 09:50:52 AM
Unfortunately, that is undetectable to VirusTotal, there is just a simple web form there into which users are absolutely voluntarly putting sensitive information that obviously shouldn't be disclosed to anyone.

Sometimes such sites also may contain link to some malware, but in most cases it is true that VT will not detect anything. I just post that to inform users that nothing bad will happen if you just visit that site, without revealing your seed.

Anyway, it seems that phishing website got banned by Google. Thank you guys for help!

Vires in numeris (strength in numbers), is a very powerful thing - the more reports, the faster the response is from Google, and this site is now blocked in most browsers. I confirm Firefox and Brave show same message about deceptive page.

DooMAD, somehow it doesn't seem to me that the OP could get involved in the discussion, although I would like to be wrong, but this kind of behavior has become very common on the forum.

I consider threads like this just as weak traps for merits, especially if OP is a bounty hunter (which is a fact in this case).
9592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My hardware wallet was seized by US customs. on: July 06, 2020, 09:14:16 AM
Wow, that's some intense stuff! I don't know if it's okay for them to do such checks, to be honest...

You should have just read my post, there is one interesting link that says that it is quite legal for customs officers to check every electronic device that may contain information or in this case cryptocurrencies that are illegally taken out of the country, or vice versa.

What competition? By Trezor/Ledger? I would be suspicious if it wasn't by the manufacturer.
Assume that wallet is compromised. Throw it away.

9593  Economy / Economics / Re: Dissecting the Parasitocracy, Version 2 on: July 05, 2020, 02:41:09 PM
I think the keywords of this thread are illusion, reality, and gamble, and one sentence in particular caught my eye : "The system is an 'open conspiracy.'  Instead of secrecy, it relies on a combination of state power and ignorance by the public."

Without referring to something special, in layman's terms they first present us with an illusion, then convince us that it is reality, and then force us to roll the dice. It is a concept in which the current world order works, and it fits perfectly with those at the top of the pyramid. People actually behave like sheep, following the leader of the herd even if he goes towards the abyss.

Diversification

-- own physical gold, maybe other precious metals too
-- BTC
-- CA$H at home or safely close by
-- guns & ammo
-- knowledge of how to get/grow water & food (hard)
-- move to safer areas (also very hard for most)

- Gold is a good choice, especially if everything goes to hell and becomes the only thing with which something can be bought - but here we are already talking about the apocalyptic scenario.

- BTC is risky but certainly desirable asset and has the potential to become a very strong player in the financial markets, the next 10 years will show where it will actually position itself.

- Cash is far better than money in bank account, especially if banks close indefinitely and ATMs go offline.

- Fortunately or not, firearms laws are almost extreme in the EU - in order for me to have any firearms I have to pass a rigorous security check that includes questioning all my neighbors about what kind of person I am. It always remains an illegal option.

- Food&water is easy for me since I have access to fresh clean water and some land on which I grow some fruit and vegetables enough for my needs.

- When it comes to relocation, it’s something I’m seriously thinking about - but it’s hard to say which location is safe in the world today, maybe Switzerland because of its neutrality?
9594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My hardware wallet was seized by US customs. on: July 05, 2020, 02:10:03 PM
The wallet is a keep key...  I'll start a review thread, and tell people what I think about the concept, and its ease of use for digital nomads. At the moment I've got mildly positive opinions, and I hope that will be justified.

I don't want to ruin your fun with a new device, but KeepKey it is not something that has made many people happy. I've never used it personally, so I can't speak from personal experience, but from everything I've read so far I haven't found too many satisfied users. Maybe your personal experience will be different because you haven't used any other hardware wallet so far so you can't make a comparison.

Yes, the Keepkey is a worthless black bricklet
9595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My hardware wallet was seized by US customs. on: July 05, 2020, 01:15:52 PM
You didn't write which hardware wallet it was, but if it was a Ledger or Trezor it would be a much better option if it was sent directly from the EU, because then such problems would certainly not occur.

It is very likely that US customs inspected the package, perhaps precisely because of the suspicion of illegal money transfer, but it is also possible that this was done by anyone in the supply chain in order to modify the device. As for checking whether crypto is in the hardware wallet, each such device has protection in the form of PIN and possible additional passphrase protection, so it's not easy to peek into someone's wallet. For example, the Ledger will reset to the factory settings if the wrong PIN is entered three times in a row.

In recent years, in some countries of the world, customs have been supervising not only postal packages containing electronic equipment, but also personal electronic items such as mobile phones or laptops.

Bitcoin was never developed to be an investment, Satoshi Nakamoto created it to be used as a Currency.

But still regardless of the initial idea, Bitcoin is currently perceived much more as a store of value than as a currency. The vast majority of those who have Bitcoin may never have taken the opportunity to use it as a currency. If we take into account that millions of BTCs do not circulate at all for years, and that most transactions are those that take place on the route : user -> crypto exchange - > user , then a very small percentage goes to transactions that would go into the category of payment for goods and services.

People should really use BTC as a means of payment, but first they should learn some basics, because they often complain that they paid too much fee, or that the transaction got stuck for hours.

Let me pull out a random survey in the internet to unjustify your claim.

Nice survey, I think that the number of respondents can always be higher, but the data still show that we are still far from a major adaptation. However, it should be taken into account that people do not always tell the truth, and that it is easiest to say yes or no, no matter what the question was.

By the way, your source link is not working.
9597  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 4.0 got released on: July 05, 2020, 10:56:55 AM
So, I need to encrypt my wallet files using Kleopatra and store it in a USB stick? I have my seed phrase written on a piece of paper and is stored somewhere safe.

But you are using Electrum only as user interface (based on your previous post), so I see no point to save any of Electrum files. Your seed is created on Ledger, and if you delete all Electrum files and install new version, then you will just need to create name of your wallets when connect Ledger first time with Electrum (for example Legacy_wallet, Nativebc1_wallet).

Does anyone have feedback on how the new Electrum version works with the Ledger Nano S/X, are there any problems?
9598  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to hack bitcoin and get filthy rich! on: July 05, 2020, 10:40:15 AM
I've never understood why otherwise honest people think that an address collision would mean that the funds contained within are now somehow "up for grabs". It's theft, pure and simple. Do you rob houses? Do you mug people? Do you pick pocket? No? Then why are you trying to steal someone's bitcoin?

It's not just about address collision, but also about hacking the crypto exchanges, various scams that have found their place on social platforms, to convince someone that they have to pay taxes with Bitcoin using crypto ATM. And why do people do that? Well, because they think they can commit a crime and stay far beyond the reach of the law, which is not the case if you go to a bank robbery or break into someone's house.

Belief in the anonymity of Bitcoin transactions goes both ways, for those who use them for completely legal purposes, but also for those who live in the belief that such stolen property cannot be tracked.
9599  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Another fake Trezor Wallet website asking for your seed phrase on: July 05, 2020, 10:22:48 AM
Just one more fake site in a row, I have no doubt there are dozens, if not hundreds of similar ones. Some people actually make a living from things like this, because it is enough for them to catch only one sucker once a month with a decent amount on their hardware wallet. What’s tragic about this whole story that revolves around magical internet money, super secure devices that store that same treasure, are users who don’t know what they’re actually doing.

Despite the warnings that come with the hardware wallet, the warnings on the official websites of the manufacturers and on all crypto forums, why does someone decide to share their seed in this way?

I check site with VirusTotal, and it is clean, therefore I would recommend that you report it for phishing by using this Report Phishing Page. If you are using Firefox, this link is available directly from the browser -> Click three horizontal dashes - Help-> Report a deceptive page

Second option is to report to domain/hosting service -> https://support.namecheap.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit

Lucius .. now is easy to say why i truted him in 2014, but if member with bitcoin from begin, from 2014 for sure remember at that time dont was other safe alternative for bitcoin WEB wallet

And my beginning goes back to 2014, but it never occurred to me to use a web wallet when there were alternatives in the form of desktop wallets. I started with BitcoinCore, then switched to MultibClassic, then to Electrum and finally to hardware wallet. You may have had some specific reason to use an online wallet, but you were certainly not aware of the risks that this entails.

I'm sorry you have a problem like this, and I hope there's a solution - maybe someone will come up with an idea how to access your account.
