9581  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Education for Cryptocurrency trading? on: October 28, 2018, 09:45:23 AM
Hi

Did anyone find a good place to get a crypto trading education?

Freemium or Premium...

I know some platforms offer it for free (very basic) and there is also Udemy but I am looking for real traders that offer something price-worth:)

I didn't enrolled to any crypto trading education so I can't vouch for anything being offered right now. There are a lot of though, but my concern is that are you going to get your money's worth?

Besides, those serious traders who's making serious money here won't simply give up their 'trading secrets', and chances are those that are offering courses either free or premium is just basic to mid levels. If I can suggest, just get your hands dirty out there, go register to any reputable exchanges and see how it goes. Of course you might lose some money, but I'm sure that experience is the best teacher, just saying.

⚠️Samuel Ayala Scammer ! JASTBITME Houston Seller!
This person, he robbed me, 1 month ago. We made a purchase for 5 bitcoins, the user sent a part of those bitcoins, and never received the remaining 1.4 BTC. This person says sell-4% in the United States, ask for advance deposit without escrow, and then delivery as you want and when you want.

I operate with this person, for lack of time. But this man is a big scammer

https://www.linkedin.com/in/samuel-ayala-5a3b9050

SCAM ALERT

Is this person has a official Bitcointalk forum account? Why did you blindly trust him without escrow though? Its a huge amount involved so that alone is enough to raise a red flag. Anyways, you can move this post to Scam Accusations board and provide additional info i.e screenshots of conversation, anything that will proved that indeed this guy is a scammer.
9583  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain and Cryptocurrency! Analysis of scam projects! on: October 28, 2018, 03:56:24 AM
First, this is merit begging.

Second, If you really wanted to help the community then you can look for scam ICO and post it here in this thread, Scam Accusations.

On second thoughts, I just checked your profile so it seems you are here for the bounty so I don't think you are sincere with your offer. And those 1 merit won't come to you. Sorry buddy.
9584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do You Think A Bull Run Is Really Coming on: October 28, 2018, 03:32:01 AM
Seems the market is more manipulated that ever before with Options trading. Everyone is "holding" out and waiting to see but do you think it will really come?  I lean to it being more steady increase over time that some mass crazy rise like last year.

I beg to disagree. If there's more manipulation that ever before we would have to see massive price fluctuations, on the contrary what we're witnessing is the price somewhat very stable in the last 5 months or so, so clearly manipulation is out of the picture.

Of course holding at this point is viable options because only few knows how to handle short or day trading because of the risk involved.

Regarding the madness of last year, I don't see it happening though, as what you have said, investors are more on the wait and see attitude so they're very reluctant to pour their cash at this point.
9585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 28, 2018, 02:43:14 AM
It's just a start bro. Let's wait until mid-season or maybe at the palayoffs. Best plays of the rockets comes when playoffs comes, so we have to wait for it and make bets against the well oiled warriors.
The Warriors is a team where you don't know who will click in a particular game. In the previous game it is Curry who click, then the last game it is Durant's turn. That's why i think they are going to return to the Finals this season sans injury to the core player. Rockets is just another block on the Warriors path but not  a threat.
Lots of key players that's why Warriors is strong but it seems this is the last year Durant will play for GSW. He got a ring already and it's all about business. Well, GSW is good before even without him it's just they are better with him and has a higher chance of getting the grandslam.

I think they are aiming for the grand slam this year. They could have gotten it, if not for James and Irving derailing like a couple of years ago. Those superstars really know who to step out if needed and let the others take the spotlight, it could be Durant, Curry and Thompson. And the funny thing, we seldom see those 3 getting off-night. Its either 1 or 2 of them will click in a given night and if we are lucky enough to see those 3 getting big numbers specially in important games.
9586  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading platforms are growing but what about investors ? on: October 28, 2018, 02:19:48 AM

I do feel that its not worthy if investors are not rising as well !!

Where did you get the data that investors are not rising? Anyways, its a gamble for exchanges but in the long run they are going to win. Besides competition are very tough in this niche, so its just a matter of time before trading platform cease to exist.

How many exchanges do we have right now? 200 or maybe 300? And how many traders do we have? couple of millions? So trading platform is not saturated and a lot of room to grow.
9587  Other / Archival / Re: Is the world really waiting for a global decentralized money? on: October 28, 2018, 01:48:34 AM
Is the world really waiting for a global decentralized money?

No. I wouldn't say that we are ready, not yet. Decentralized coins is still in its infancy and governments around the world won't simply accept it because its beyond their control. We have seen countries now taking a hard line stance because they're afraid of the negative impact in can bring to them so it simply won't happened in the next 5 or even 10 years. There's almost who will go against it and fully support it so I guess we're just going to be fine.
9588  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: wondering about the Merit on: October 27, 2018, 02:17:03 PM
hello everyone!
as you can see I am a newbie in the forum, and i use it to get the information i need for my Cryptocurrency world, and being a newbie with no merit does not limit me from having what a need.

Well the last few years, this forum was overrun by spammers and Theymos made a lot of changes to curb or control them because this forum should be not be treated as mean to earn money to feed their family. If you are here for the right reasons then you wouldn't be concern with merit but to learn all about cryptos.

I can also express my opinion and give my contribution where i have something to say, that is not limited either.
now, my wonder is, why all this fight to get the merit? all the accounts are bounty hunters so they need the merits to partecipate?

As I have said, majority of members here are bounty hunter and since there's a new guideline to get at least 1 merit to be able to join bounties, spambies finding it hard to earn that 1 merit to be able to continue making money out of this community.
9589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If the bull run comes this year, how high do you think that ETH can reach to? on: October 27, 2018, 01:44:49 PM
I do keep the positive look at ETH, it could increase above $1k again.
your thoughts?

I do believe that it can go and reach $1k if ever a bull run ensures. It will also means that ICO will flourish again and there will be more projects popping in that means more money flowing in the ecosystem. Although there's competition right now with the EOS platform, Ethereum still enjoys the support of investors and most ICO's still prefer their smart contacts and ERC-20, so the future still looks good in my opinion.
9590  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto exchanges on: October 27, 2018, 01:00:56 PM
What crypto exchanges can you recommend?

I urged you to look at the following thread: List of Decentralized/Centralized Exchanges. It listed the best exchanges out there. If I were you, I would try to used those exchanges and see how it fits your goals and need. You will get a lot of different responses here so its better if you yourself will decide which platforms you're comfortable with.

9591  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at Yuletide on: October 27, 2018, 11:59:29 AM
We are gradually heading to the festive period of the year, we are expected to use some of our bitcoin investments to take care of some personal and family needs. With the current status of the market do you see bitcoin rising up at the end of the year? Kindly give your reasons

The problem with that argument is that time has change and even though historically bitcoin surges before the end of the year, for me 2018 is quite different from previous years because investors has become smarter and FOMO is already a thing of the past. And even if we have positive news coming like the Bakkt offerings, but we will have to see how everything goes. So just don't put high hopes for another all-time-high is what I'm saying and be prepared so that you won't be disappointed at the end of the year.
9592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: October 27, 2018, 11:32:41 AM
The latest news is that Mayweather may take an UFC contract and he will fight Khabib Nurmagomedov. In case that happens, I don't think that Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 is ever going to happen.

Regardless, I do believed that Pacquiao vs Mayweather 2 will happen next year. As reported already in this thread, it will be Pacquiao vs Broner and if Manny wins that fight, he will take on Floyd. As far as Floyd fighting Khabib, I don't think it will generate interest in the public and Khabib is not that a big star as compare to Conor so the money is not enough for Floyd to pursue that fight.
9593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with normal games on: October 27, 2018, 11:12:24 AM
Yeah, back in the days me and my mate who at that time staying in one flat and during weekends we have this sort of party. We're all playing PS and each has its own character, lol, we will invent and call our on moves, we will be having a winner-take-all bets. Most of the time the winner will have to treat us though, probably some beers or late dinner, damn, those were the days.
9594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you buy new coins? on: October 27, 2018, 03:53:05 AM
I'm not buying at this moment. Why? Because altcoins are very volatile and I don't have much time to spend to watch and track the price anyways and to be brutally honest, I don't trust new coins coming out in the market. If they're not a scam coins, they're just useless or totally garbage. I just accumulate bitcoins and used it if possible.
9595  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: INSTANT EXCHANGES on: October 26, 2018, 08:02:30 PM
As far as I know, Shapeshift has a solid reputation but they're requiring KYC now.

https://bitcoinist.com/shapeshift-ends-anonymity-with-announcement-of-mandatory-kyc-data-collection/

Changelly has been trusted by the community as well. Here's there official thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1435275.0

ChangeNOW? There's a scam accusations against them,

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4647308.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4619534.0

So far I enjoyed Changelly as compared to Shapeshift, but its still up to you if you wanted to use those exchanges as the risk is high specially if it involves huge amount of coins.
9596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoincash keep going down on: October 26, 2018, 04:55:18 PM
You are not sincere with Bitcoincash and think it is not right. You surely know that most altcoins now including Bitcoin has been declining daily for some time now, why do you mentioned only Bitcoincash as if it is the only one declining.

Bitcoin's bleeding has already stop and you would have noticed that the price is already stabilizing in the last 4 to 5 months already. Yes, its down, but unlike altcoins market who have suffered worst, even ethereum went to almost 90% down. Regarding BCH, its altcoin so what do you expect? Even Bitmain has to make an IPO just to keep the price above and Roger Ver planning to have its own crypto exchange and using BCH as the main trading pair. They really have to make some adjustments otherwise they will also be swept by the current down trend.
9597  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin ATM started in India despite RBI restrictions. on: October 26, 2018, 04:35:05 PM
Here is the full article about it:

https://www.timesnownews.com/business-economy/markets/article/bitcoin-atm-india-s-first-bitcoin-kiosk-launched-in-bangalore-despite-rbi-fm-jaitleys-warnings/300677

UNOCOIN a indian exchange started its ATM Kiosk in Bangalore , which enables users to withdraw first currency by selling bitcoin, ethereum. Soon they are going to install same ATM Kiosk in Mumbai and Delhi.

What do you think that it is a good news for the cryptocurrency world

This is now old news dude, that ATM is already closed down and even ceased by the police.

UNOCOIN owner even got caught by police for doing this against the rules of India. RBI was against this and even no application or legal approval was taken by UNOCOIN for the installation of this ATM.

There will be no more bitcoin ATM now, the one which got installed is also uninstalled by them.

Aww. If this is true then India is really taking a hard line stance against crypto so I wouldn't be surprised if they really put a total ban. However, I do think that by now, bitcoin is totally unstoppable and that people will take the risk and will try to circumvent government restrictions. We have seen China doing similar things, but it didn't stop Chinese from engaging underground or p2p crypto transactions so India's moved won't deter this growing technology.
9598  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run Signals on: October 26, 2018, 03:57:57 PM
I can not say for sure whether such a bull run will almost repeat itself. It always takes longer than one year to repeat such a cycle. The start of the bull run could be the rise in bitcoin prices, which has been the case in the past. First went the BTC price and then the other altcoins were added. Today the price is mostly stable.

If we are going to look at history, well can are still the bear cycle, comparable to 2015. But I like what I'm seeing as the price seems to be on the $6k range so probably investors could be just waiting out in the wings before entering again. Probably we are at the tail end of this bearish trend and 2019 might be the year of another massive bull run. Let's see how it pans out.
9599  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cryptocurrency Regulations - Philippines on: October 26, 2018, 03:07:14 PM

Talking about politics, i also agree about not to involved politics here, that's too much I guess.

I guess countries accepting crypto has something to do with politics as well? I've noticed that countries in the free world or government that's liberal or democratic has the tendency to embrace crypto more than totalitarians nations. As much as Philippines politics is dirty, but I guess they're really heed to the call of their population that's why the country chooses to adopt or regulate because of the positive things in can bring to the people and the government (tax) as well.
9600  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: HTC Exodus - The first major blockchain smartphone on: October 26, 2018, 02:42:13 PM
There's are better smartphones out there, and as far as storing your crypto's in phones, I would rather purchase trezor and nano to truly separates everything. Even though its touted having a secure enclave, its still a smartphone and always connected online so there's still a big risk, just saying.
