Hello! Pre-sale is going, the soft cap is 600 ETH  so pre-sale is already started i wish they can reach easily soft cap even before the end of programmed time... As I see on the presale status, they already reached 1368 ETH which means the softcap has been reached. That is fast! Their goal is to raise 3000 ETH. Should not be a problem. Still 6 more days for pre sale. |

For me it is not 100% clear how Datum will collect the data en store it, without FB/Google taking it too.
Now that you say this, I became very curious how they wil collect data before FB/Google takes it.. I read the whitepaper again, but all it explains is how datum encrypts data etc. Only thing I can imagine is that Datum saves info you post and sells it (if you want) to other parties for cheaper than facebook or google price. you can block Facebook and google with scripts how a adblocker do it. so maybe DATUM will block first the transmission of your data. Yes but if you block fb/google, you can not create content to begin with, and no content is no data, hence nothing to sell.. So this was an excellent question. I really like to see a clear answer on this explained by Datum |

So very interesting for SOMA indeed. They should target both IOS and Android. Its from 40+ resources and Mirocana seems to be paying for this data. I see only Poloniex as cryptocurrency data, is this sufficient to analyze the crypto market? |

How do you escrow goods which cannot be validated?
That Ethereum address containing UTRUST tokens was a good example.
The seller and buyer cannot trust the escrow with both the private key and the public address. The escrow cannot check whether the private key unlocks the public address.
Do not complicate things Try to read the whitepaper and you will be enlightened. "Enlighten me then"  But seriously read white paper and you will know everything that you should know Alice sells the private key of her Ethereum wallet to Bob. Bob pays through UTRUST. Alice is notified that the money is in escrow and sends the private key to Bob. Bob claims the key does not work. Alice opens a dispute. Tell me how the UTRUST Mediator resolves this transaction. Alice still has a copy of the private key and she proofs Bob that the key works by transferring the ETH to another ETH wallet, before Bob can scam her. Alice decides that Bob is a scammer and does not trade with Bob anymore. Bob just lost his money to Utrust. But in case Bob already moved the ETH before he claims the key does not work, well Alice is scammed. I guess some products just shouldnt be sold, like private keys  |

I've pretty given up on my privacy and data being in my control. If a company succeeds in disrupting this multibillion-dollar industry then it will surely be the most valuable token on the market. There are a few companies attempting this and I'm at the edge of my seat watching them all.
I only know Basic attention token and now Datum in this field. Are there more companies involved with personal data? |

I think its hard to verify your data which can be faked. Its not hard to use scripts to visit different sites and create untrue data and i think this will be a major hurdle they will have to address in the future. You open a fake facebook account, fake twitter account and etc. You make fake friends with fake followers but probably you will get an amount that it won't value the work you have done. It would be meaningless to try such a thing. Isnt that how people catfish idiots with online dating? Faking data is already happening, but it all depends how far do you want to go Some people take it to corporate levels. They must have android demo-version before crowdsale. Most of investors have android, not Iphone
As an android and an iphone owner, i prefer android, and i really would see that datum market would mostly construct by android users. People affording new iphones aren't the target audience for selling their data. They really don't need pocket chance so much. Half of your money, really? I would like to say to everyone, do not invest more than you can afford. We have been reading on bitcointalk that people lost a lot of money. Remember its always a risk! If you can afford however, I think Utrust seems like a good investment. But always do your own research. |
