how about make an ipo out of it so all of u can get scammed again? Because of you guys scammers can continue to exist on these forums. Maybe some of you are rich and don't really care about making scammers rich, but there are also people who are so blind that they do anything in the hope of making themselves rich (read: continuing to give money to scammers).

What you are basically doing here is creating a list of people who are vulnerable to scams on these forums. This way, scammers can target you even easier!

A better idea would be to gather all of you to STOP this shit instead of playing the victims role. Get together and hire some super internet detective (yea, sounds weird, but they are there. Maybe even that hackers group Anonymous, I'm sure they have the power to get something done)  or something, to track that stackedcoin idiot and teach him a lesson.

dont write of IPO in general, my investors had 20.3x gain in 1 week after launch

- Numbers of coins around 100.000.000 to 200.000.000
- No Premine (for whatever reason)
- Instamine protection
- ASIC mining protection

For as much i feel sorry for the ones scammed on their money i can not agree with premine as a compensation...we would have to come with something diferent to compensate or at least mitigate  the losses of those people but Premining is not the answer..

If there is no premine, then they need to be compensated from btc donations, shich is currently 0

I really really hope you manage this coin properly. It would be painfully ironic if this coin were to be the victim of a scamster. Just be smart and don't give any BTC to anyone you do not trust. If there does end up being BTC involved then it must ONLY be in the hands of a well trusted escrower on the forum. No exception.

I am all for finding a very trusted holder to control the premine and be basically connected to the official development.

Candidates?

Maybe we can vote on who gets to do it.

An escrow for the premine and transparent operations would be useful as well.

we should make every decision with a poll
967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: community coin on: February 22, 2014, 10:25:46 PM
if the goal is to compensate victims, why not include all the PANDA victims as well?

how is yet another new coin better than fund raising effort (or let the victim learn through financial loss so it sticks)?

What we need is policing, I have been yelling scams on STACK and no one cared.  New coin will not solve what happened to not just STACK but many other failed alts.

this project can be anti scam in general yes, but to be honest i have no clue about how to include everybody

I vote for

- no premine

The whole point of this is for the Stackcoin investors who where scammed with the support of the community to recreate their coin and launch it as it was supposed to be (or some version).

The premine is essential.  I did not invest myself but thought it would be a good idea to help them release a coin.

And who cares if the scammer gets a few more coins, don't cut off your nose to spite your face. If we can help the victims of the scam recreate the coin and possibly make their money back then we should.  Not just for them but for the whole alt-coin community.

i think we should scale down those billions of coins to an ammount in millions and give those stakeholders what they would have gotten scaled down, so their original % stake stays the same. a coin with billions total can not have a high unit value

PLEASE GUYS follow the rules

As this thread expands lets have some rules,or it wil be to much work for me to dig through the pages and find the correct info

Original StackCoin Specifications:

Max coins: 134.4 Billion
Block Time: 120 seconds
Difficulty Retarget: Kimoto's gravity well
Block Initial Reward: 1 Million
Block Decrease Rate:  15% /Month

Unless the scammed agree I believe the best thing to do would be a direct up/down scale of those rewards, as that is that the IPO investors agreed upon and lost their hard-earned BTC.

i think thats WAY to much coins, when you do this many coins, you instantly have tiny value per unit....but im not the boss here, so that needs to be discussed

can we do a poll?

I was scammed out of 2.039 BTC, investor #20. I can verify this with the wallet I sent the investment with.

I wrote the appeal to Cryptsy for stackcoin, I promoted stackcoin through twitter, and I brought stackcoin to the attention of Lazycoins. I would be happy to promote a successor to the now infamous stackcoin in the same way.

With my help, a lot of buzz was started about stackcoin and I feel that I helped draw in many investors who would've never invested in the first place. I would love to help with a legitimate coin.

dont feel guilty, you did not know

bumface: Please hold an open donation wallet, too - could you post an address here?

That gives people a chance to donate to a "loss compensation fund".

And perhaps "Stack-Coin" even wants to donate some himself, when he wakes up and realizes what a poor soul with rich wallet he has become.

Ok

i have made an electrum wallet for donations...it will be this adress permanently so people can use blockchain.info to see what got in and out....

How about something different?

This Latin word "Veritas", means truth.
Or "Socius", which means sharing.
Or "Civitas" which means community.

are these 3 different name suggestions, or do you intent some sort of combination? like VSC
