961  Other / Meta / Re: Browsing logged in is much slower than logged out or with a new account on: February 25, 2017, 08:30:28 AM
I'm not entirely sure but I guess It's a normal thing because while being logged in, there are some checking that you really need to do and that could require a database connection which will make the loading a little bit slower.
An example to give  is the trust profile, If you are logged out then you don't really see it on the trust of users, while checking a section too, you have to check If you have already seen the threads or not, If you didn't they are in bold otherwise they are normal and that check is not done while being logged out.
962  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: About Private Key, How I Get It From New Version Of Blockchain on: February 25, 2017, 07:50:22 AM
It's impossible to know the private keys for a watch-only address unless you imported the private keys (If that's even possible). Blockchain.info no longer allow you to export private keys for the new HD wallet addresses, there is a way but It's not really newbie friendly , you should check it out though.

964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which scalable solution is better? on: February 24, 2017, 06:36:50 PM
People have different opinions on this one and the battle is currently between SegWit and Bitcoin Unlimited. I'm starting to have my doubts honestly and I don't think we will end enabling any of them , at least not for the meantime.

I believe that most of the Chinese pools are against SegWit because SW facilitate implementing the Lightning network and LN will basically make transactions Offchain and If that ever happens and all transaction become offchain , It will no longer be profitable for the miners , I could be wrong though.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Secure Software wallet that can maintain Bitcoin, Altcoin on: February 23, 2017, 05:22:05 PM
Exodus.io looks very good, I guess you should check the roadmap to have a better idea of the future releases. It looks very promising with more coins and hardware wallets support , they have a lot of plans for the new year. I also suggest checking the thread on bitcointalk , If you are looking for something where you actually control your private keys then there is no better alternative for this wallet.
966  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Would you rather use Paxful or LocalBitcoins and why? on: February 13, 2017, 07:54:40 PM
The thing with those services is that they are legit but sometimes you are simply dealing with professional scammers who targets newbies , not to mention that some accounts with high feedback and positive trust are being sold and bought on the forums In order to scam people for large amounts. It's a matter of your personal choice at this point but I'd go with LocalBitcoins because It has more userbase and exists for a longer time.
967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is MaidSafeCoin actually a thing? on: February 13, 2017, 05:32:54 PM
The project is being developed for 10 years now and they entered to the Alpha phase not a long time ago , I personally find it a very interesting and I think It's going to be successful , the beauty of it is that It's not only for storing your data but It could be used for encrypted chatting , having SAFE websites that are supposed to be more secure then the Tor network and much more. I have my concerns about the governments standpoint but hopefully everything goes as planned.
968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which UK banks process bitcoin transactions? on: February 13, 2017, 04:30:24 PM
I never used any of them but from the look of it and posts I've seen , both Santander UK and Fidor Bank should be bitcoin and crypto friendly. It's better to contact both of them and make sure though.
969  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Preev Cad is not working on: February 13, 2017, 09:01:15 AM
It has been reported a few days ago by a member here that It's not working and If you have noticed , It's the case for AUD , CAD , GBP , CNY and many others . It's probably better to find an alternative for now.
970  Other / MultiBit / Re: Contact developer of Multibit. on: February 13, 2017, 07:13:10 AM
jim618 was the developer behind Multibit but once he sold it to KeepKey things are not as used to be. I suggest opening an issue on their GitHub Repo and waiting for a response but I doubt you will get a fast one , or you could explain your situation to the community and hopefully we could help because since Multibit HD is decentralized , I don't think there is something developers could do that the community can't unless It's too technical.
971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Full Node questions. on: February 13, 2017, 06:56:31 AM
It's possible to use your full node as a wallet and there is nothing to be worried about but you should take the same precautions as If you was using any other wallet and no , you don't earn anything by running a full node , you are simply helping the network and making it more secure.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Multiwallet.io - Supports 177 different altcoins on: February 12, 2017, 07:14:34 PM
They are free to claim whatever they want but as long as the project stays closed source , Its not suggested to download anything. I also think that hosting their files in Mega and using outdated data from CoinMarketCap to list the supported coins is very unprofessional.
973  Economy / Exchanges / Re: any Experience on Lykke, EXMO, Liqui or Changelly??? on: February 12, 2017, 05:07:52 PM
It works fine but If you are planning to trade old coins such as LTC , DASH or others then using Poloniex would do the job. If Liqui.io gained users It's only because that they added new coins that no else did and they don't require any KYC verifications such as ICONOMI and In a couple of days ChronoBank too.
974  Other / Meta / Re: New themes maybe ??? on: February 12, 2017, 03:59:46 PM
It's possible to see the current progress at Beta.bitcointalk.org but It seems like there are some issues today as reported here . Alternatively , you could take a look at The official website or the GitHub Repo but the pictures are outdated as we switched to a black theme and It's going to change overtime until we get the final release.
975  Economy / Services / Re: Need escrow on: February 12, 2017, 02:22:09 PM
If the transaction involve BTCitcoin then you could use an escrow from the list where everyone have green trust and you are wrong, It's probably not as easy as PayPal to chargeback but It's definitely possible to do so. Neteller allow multiple payment methods to fund your account , If someone add funds using a credit card then charging back from the credit card is something easy to do so you should ask for the source of the money.
976  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BTC.com | Safe, secure & trusted | BITCOIN WALLET on: February 12, 2017, 01:56:21 PM
I think this is one of the best web wallet. And now I have an account, just for better, for development and more secure, please add for SMS verification, so when we send bitcoin is more secure.

It has nothing to do with the wallet Itself as far as I know because all wallets calculate the fees the same way and those are network fees and unlike Multibit HD , BTC.com takes no fees for themselves and I have never experienced any slowness on confirmation times.
977  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Other Bitcoin forum on: February 12, 2017, 12:43:23 PM
I cannot think of any other forum that is better then this one , what makes this one special is that It got created by Satoshi himself since a few years now and since then and the community supporting it and not to mention that the forum don't contain anything paid unlike the other forums where you need to upgrade etc... signature campaigns are not made by the forum administration but by individuals or companies and while advertising , they target the high traffic that this forum has and others don't.
978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TumbleBit sounds absolutely amazing. on: February 12, 2017, 11:46:27 AM
TumbleBit could be a great add to bitcoin but I have my doubts about actually getting this implemented. but I wonder what would It take for the core developers to agree adding this and when and mostly what's the governments standpoint will be in that case , the more developed bitcoin gets , the more the banking system and governments gets angry and that's not really in our favor.
979  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin defeats the Chinese government on: February 11, 2017, 06:10:54 PM
That's why projects based on P2P protocols are something usually hard to kill . I guess the time has finally come where China no longer control the most of the bitcoin supply , potentials investors could feel more secure now while investing and knowing that the price cannot be manipulated that easy.
980  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What is the best and No.1 Desktop wallet on: February 11, 2017, 05:23:50 PM
A good wallet should give control over the private keys , as long as It does that then the other security measures should be taken by you such as not downloading anything you find on the internet , mostly cracked applications or anything you don't know the source of.
I will go and suggest using Electrum as a desktop wallet , It's open source and the development is very active , It works on multiple OS and should work for ever as long as there are servers running. If people ever stop running electrum servers which is unlikely , you could make your own and connect your client to it.
