961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What really makes a cryptocurrency successful on: July 01, 2021, 08:32:38 PM
Their usecase in the blockchain technology is what really makes a crypto successful. There are many cryptos now that shows a lot of potential in the future because their project solves some problems that blockchain tech lacks. The team also behind that project are very active updating about their progress and future plans. They always engage to some events like hackaton to make their project become more popular. They do partnerships with some popular companies or other crypto projects to improve the usecase of their cryptocurrency.

Actual use case and how they influence their chosen industry is very important in knowing if the project will be successful long term or not. Because if it will rely only on traders, this will not last long. So they should have active use case in the industry and the team is continuously innovating their platform, in order to adapt new changes in the environment. Some projects have very noble concept but they failed in actual implementation. Actual implementation is really important for the project to survive. And of course, the users should also be happy and satisfied with their services. Or at least, they are open in improving their services.
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth investing in coins you believe in? on: June 30, 2021, 11:33:46 PM
Absolutely, I believe if you follow a good strategic plan and do your research into projects that are consistently building and have the stability background staying power and resilience, we will be in a life changing position looking forward.
It's a life changing decision if the coins that you have invested are really the ones that have been made themselves reputable overtime and they're not just meme coins that are being hyped.
I do believe with my decision although it won't be the same as the others that became lucky and wealthy overnight, I believe in the process and trust it and my time will come and that's with bitcoin and my other few altcoins on hold.

If you are heavily invested on a specific coin or coins, one thing you need to keep up is their development updates. Because if you feel that there is nothing going on anymore with the project, better sell it while there is still value in the market. Don't wait too long because you may lose a lot and not even recover your initial investments. It is always better to invest on a project that has very solid foundation and with active developments. Because that will make them survive in the market.
963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you pay with Bitcoin whenever you're able to? on: June 30, 2021, 09:57:30 PM
I'll be honest here and say that I don't pay with bitcoin because I'd rather spend fiat money.

I hold bitcoin as an investment that grows in value while my fiat money loses value every year. Selling bitcoins and holding fiat money is counterproductive. I'd feel like sacrificing myself for the community.
I'm not rich so I can't afford it.

I have the same sentiments here. As much as possible, I want my crypto to hold. But sometimes, I use crypto to pay some of my bills like water or electricity as my local exchange are accepting this payment. Also, topping up my phone is one of my common usage of crypto because I am not spending much satoshis. If given the choice, I won't spend my btc at all for the hope that someday, it will gain its value in the market.
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ANN]🌕Golden Shiba Official - New Small Cap, Fully Community Driven 🚀 on: June 29, 2021, 10:27:13 PM
We are in the age of memetic investing. Some people put a lot of money into stocks or coins, not because they think the potential value of the asset is significantly different, but because it is popular on the Internet, and they think it is fun, cool, or just doing something.

Some things are obviously legal, some things are obviously nonsense, and there are some confusing long-tail things,"
said Sam Bankman-Fried, head of Alameda Research and the FTX cryptocurrency derivatives exchange.

But cryptocurrency has actually worked this way since the beginning. The memetic aspect of it has always been part of the attraction.

And if you are an investor, it is your own responsibility whether to invest on this type of project. You should know what you are getting into and you should not blame anyone if in case something goes awry with your investments. It is your gamble to invest on a very risky project. Most meme projects will be short-lived and it is the user's choice if he will venture into this kind of project.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN LISTED HOTIBIT LATOKEN]Yoy Chain Farm [ Ysoy | yTOFU| ySOYMILK ] on: June 28, 2021, 11:58:30 PM
I like the idea of token combination to farm a new token. although not first one of its kind. But with the cool graphics and detailed explanation, even a newbie in DEFI will easily understand how farming works.

With countless farms these days, it is hard to get those users that will participate in the liquidity pools. What are the main advantages of this farm that will be of benefit to the farmers?
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is recovering, what steps are you taking? on: June 28, 2021, 11:07:25 PM
I bought a coin a few days ago, it could be said only 20% of my assets. The rest still I keep in stable coins. The market is still too risky and I never put my asset only at 1 basket. Best step do research, dont take risk to much, better always do little technical analisys and check fundamental always.

On my end, as much as possible, I am buying a lil bit of BNB and ETH every chance I got. I believe, both of these projects will increase when bitcoin starts to rise again. Actually, I already have good profits even if I sell them now but will not do so as I can still afford to wait. This coming July, let's see what will the EIP 1559 will do to eth's market.
967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN | $HUP | 🔥 Hup.Life Official Announcement Thread 🔥 on: June 28, 2021, 06:37:54 PM
Another "decentralized" NFT marketplace,. Why not,.

NFT is the future but NFT buyers becoming less as days goes by. What is your advantages to attract users/creators to your platform?

Or better yet reducing number of NFT buyers of expensive tokens. Because as time goes by, people are finding out other NFTs that are not too expensive. While the comparison table is impressive, but maybe, you are only providing the features that you are of advantage to your competitors. Anyway, we will see how will this perform later on, and if you can really take advantage of the NFT market to assist some charity organizations.
968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Beach project in El Salvador on: June 27, 2021, 11:34:32 PM
After El Salvador officially accepted  Bitcoin  as legal currency, all the attention was focused on the Pacific coastal fishing village in this country. about 500 families here use  Bitcoin  to buy groceries and pay electricity and water bills - which is also what the government wants the whole country to aim for.

This is very nice to promote it as a bitcoin tourism spot. This will be their selling feature to tourists. But hopefully, they will accept other alts also like maybe XRP, as they have cheaper fees. Bitcoin as we know, has relatively expensive fee especially if the network is congested. So this may be one of the hindrances why some people won't use bitcoin, the fees involved and the duration of confirmation in the network.
969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HitlerMoon | HitlerSwap | Hitler's Wealth Formula on: June 27, 2021, 10:23:14 PM
This project is a joke as why they even list adolf hitler in the team and other german members who are long dead already. But gullible people will buy in for the hope of getting rich. This is why crypto is being tagged as scam because of projects that should not really exist in the first place. I hope people already learned their lesson and opt for more valuable projects.
970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China might really be out of Bitcoin and the cryptospace on: June 27, 2021, 11:23:27 AM
Not a surprise in the slightest. The environment in China is very discouraging when talking about freedom in general, not only concerning Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. If they people aren't even allowed to access common websites such as Facebook and Twitter due to their "Great Firewall", what makes us think that they'd allow their people to have access to a protocol that promotes freedom?

If this was the case, why they were allowed to built the world biggest bitcoin mining farms in the first place ?
China always want to dominate the world and therefore they will not quit crypto currencies. I think recent news about china banning mining and crypto is a part of their plan which no one considers at the moment.

It's because they didn't think that bitcoin will turn out this big, not really sure when the bitcoin mining started in China though, but I'm under the impression that it could be as early as 2011 when bitcoin can still be mined by GPU. And then they struck gold mine, producing high end machines so business is  booming. So now that bitcoin has grow tremendously, the Chinese government need to take control of their people, specially those who become rich and doesn't want a 'capital flight' scenario. Although it has been happening for years already.

I don't think this will be the endgame for bitcoin or crypto in China. They can always change their stance on this. When they find a way how to have more control on this industry, they will announce another statement. Because as some countries are moving forward with this technology, they are like totally evading this technology. But if someone knows the mentality of Chinese, they will always change their perspective if they know they can be of advantage of the situation. Let us see if next year, they will still have this approach to crypto.
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Announcement- Bitcoin Eco: An environmentally sustainable Bitcoin on: June 26, 2021, 11:59:05 PM
As said before NO one person built Bitcoin Eco but a collective of Bitcoin  enthusiast. Some have been members of this community from the very START of Bitcoin. So when you reference ME your not talking to a person but a collective of people just like you. People that LOVE bitcoin. Not for financial gain or fame or fortune .No one will ever step forward and claim “I built Bitcoin Eco”.
/cut/

Despite what you keep repeating, we have yet to see any evidence that backs up your claim. Why do you insist on referring to yourself as "we" while there ain't no team and there's only one person behind the curtain? You claim that some of the members of your so-called "collective" have been part of this community since the beginning, so if that is the case, they need to stand out and give your project credibility. Otherwise, your statements are nothing more than a mere attempt at manipulation and misrepresentation, as we have already seen countless times on this forum.

We will know in time how this project will progress. Can this project deliver what is being promised on their objectives? Right now, it is too early to give conclusions on this project. And if you are in doubt, no one is obliging to send money to this project. We have the freedom to choose which project are we going to invest with. If they can't deliver what is being described on their mission, then, it will show in the very near future. If only talks and no action, we will also see.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GRV] Cryptcoin - Litecoin Clone on: June 26, 2021, 11:51:15 PM
-snip-
Problem is, we have had so many scammers do the same exact thing here in the past and ended up getting away with people's money (valuable BTC or ETH) in exchange for the worthless tokens/coins. So good luck convincing people that It was a joke project with no intended harm.

The future of this project is cloudy. I guess, the OP should just shelved this project and move on with his life. Even if he says, he has no ill intentions, still users that will buy this coin will be screwed. You should have not posted those fake photos and profiles. Because that is one warning signal if the team is indeed serious or not.
973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: June 26, 2021, 11:41:33 PM
Sendwyre just announced a New Savings API powered by StellarOrg to enable global savings accounts. Today! Today! 12:30PM EST I’ve got their Director of Strategy Sam Trautwein in the studio to discuss how this breakthrough will revolutionize the system XLM futurenomics
https://twitter.com/samconnerone/status/1408422835593306114

Is this the reason why their price suddenly jump in the market? But in any case, it is good that the developments is still very active for stellar. I believe, this is one of the old alts worth to be included in your portfolio. Continuous innovation with their services will ensure that they are up to date with the current trend in the financial aspect of crypto industry.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Quarashi Network - The Next Generation All in One Platform on: June 26, 2021, 11:27:52 PM
Hello everyone, just confirming my identity as the team has contacted me on telegram.

Congratulation, i have a question, has the Quarashi Smart Contract been audited? Where will you audit the Quarashi Smart Contract?

I don't think yahoo can answer the above question but the team should answer it. And if they are reaching out a reputable member of the forum, that means they are pretty serious on this project. However, they should also be active on this thread. They should dedicate at least one staff here that is capable of answering questions from the community.
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [IEO] ⚡AMEPAY- Crypto ⇌ Retail. IEO in BKEX + Listing in Bithumb Global 🔥 on: June 26, 2021, 11:16:38 PM
Gosh, they now completely ignore hunters and even they have time to post here but don't answer any questions about distribution, this is very painful and I saw on telegram hunters are still begging there

This is unfortunate for those bounty hunters of this project. They should at least close the case of these hunters and move on. This will be bad for their reputation though. How can they ignore those hunters? At one point, they are also part of the promotion of their project. So now, how are you going to trust this platform if they can't even resolve their issues with their bounty hunters?
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC] Eloncoin - Mars, here we come!! 🚀 - POS Energy Efficient. on: June 26, 2021, 11:03:33 PM
Guys, finexbox exchange has listed this coin. I had a small deposit there to check out how it works. I ended up horrible experience.
I had 4000 EMC deposited there and sold for USDT. My bad, I didn’t check the withdrawal fee. It's 20 USDT for TRC20 even. Damn.
Later, I tried to convert it into LTC but there's no LTC-USDT pair. So, I had to convert my USDT into BTC and BTC into LTC. Thus, my 40 USDT has turned into 0.108 LTC = $13
From which I had to 0.03 LTC fee. So, it’s less than $10 I will get but the withdrawal is still pending for the last 4 hours. Such a horrible exchange.
Please stay out of this shit.

What? 20USDT withdrawal fee using TRC20 network. That's too much! Clearly, they are taking advantage of the users. However, people will talk so I don't think that's a very good way to do their business. Good thing, you shared your experience from this exchange. Never used this exchange though. So maybe for others, just wait for better exchange to list this coin. I believe, lightlord will come up with a much better exchange than this finexbox.
977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Homecoin - The Future of Real Estate | App with Exchange | Incoming partnerships on: June 26, 2021, 10:33:04 PM
What will be the advantage of using home coin to other big cryptocurrency that offers the same utility? Buying a house with bitcoin is much easier instead of jumping into another token just to pay for it.

Good question! Actually purchasing homes with crypto currency in general presents its own hurdles. Our focus will be on the rental aspect of the real estate world. We are in the process of developing an app designed for landlords to use that will allow their renters to pay rent with Homecoin, and will provide both the renter and landlord opportunity to earn Homecoin by staking and yield farming, as well as other avenues. Eventually as popularity grows, we will approach other aspects of the real estate world and incentivize them to use Homecoin for their services as well.

Do you think these landlords or renters will be interested in staking and yield farming? I believe a lot of them will prefer to be paid in currency like US$ instead of a token that they don't have any idea about its market. But if you can attract companies that are willing to collaborate, maybe you can penetrate this market. Til then, we will wait if you can push thru this development. Because not many real estate related blockchain projects are successful in implementing their services.
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Alpaca Finance is safe? on: June 26, 2021, 10:07:53 PM
They provide leveraged yield farming with huge APY, but is it safe, or the risk to have your position liquidated is high?
Investing in all types of cryptocurrencies is high risky. And if it is a new coin then it is more risky. So it can never be called safe.

High APY doesn't mean you can easily get your initial investments back also. This APY may be high at the start and later on fall down. It depends on how strong the platform is. As I never heard this defi platform, better dig more if the OP is interested on this platform. There are so many defi platforms already and they are offering high APY. But as you noticed, as days passed, their APY is also decreasing. No one can advise you if the platform is safe or not. It is your own assessment that will truly help you in evaluating the platform.
979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk made tweet about animal coin again. Time to buy doge and Shiba Inu? on: June 26, 2021, 11:36:48 AM

I think tweets of elon musk don't have an impact anymore or at least not that big of an impact as his first tweet regarding cryptos and later his tweet about dogecoin had. This is a normal process, the more often something has happened before, the more people expect it and the less surprised they are about it. I personally wouldn't invest in any of the projects you listed because i generally dislike meme-coins because they have no use-case and i think that they harm the whole crypto space and of course because of the market situation in that we are right now. I think now is the time to load up on established projects, of course only if you think that the market won't drop any lower.

Very risky to get into these meme coins. Though doge has use case before in gambling and as transfer purposes, it is now getting expensive to use this old alt. There are now other alts with cheap fees like TRX or XRP. Elon will tweet again and again, but you need to mind your own strategies in this market. Because if someone will follow his tweets, the risk of losing your funds is high, if you exit at the wrong time. Better look for projects that have tangible and active application in the market.
980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How has crypto positively impacted your life? on: June 25, 2021, 11:57:35 PM
How crypto impacts my life:
- Get more earning
- Know about trading and investment although only with small funds
- Make my time worthier than previously
- Spending more times to check crypto market  Grin
- Enjoy my life because sometimes I feel so happy but sometimes feel mad because of this crypto market
- Have unclear sleep time  Grin

I have the same experiences here and I believe, a lot of crypto users also have the similar experiences. But one thing though, I am not a trader before like the forex one, and when I get acquainted with crypto, I learned the trading life. And also, I learn different aspects of crypto trading which I believe, can be applied to the regular forex trading. And also, during this pandemic period, this crypto life made me busy at home. While others are saying they have boring life, me, is the opposite. Everyday, I have something to look forward even up until now and maybe in the years to come. Really grateful that I encountered crypto in my life.
